PERCY POV
~Timeskip to the Dance~
"Athena, you look beautiful" I said
"You think so?" Athena asked. She was wearing a simple black dress with a curved neckline. There was a grey belt at her waist. The dress was shorter in the front then longer on the back, making the dress flowy. She wore 1 and a half inch black heels. She was wearing no make up which made her look even prettier. Her hair was the same as always. She had those beautiful princess curls.
"Why of course! Why would I lie about such things?" I said to her
She blushed slightly and put my hand in an angle so that she could take it. "Shall we milady?" I asked her. "We shall, Perseus" She said and hooked her arm in mine. We walked to where the dance was going to be held and once we entered there were already a lot of people there, dancing with their dates. I spotted Artemis with Orion and suddenly growled. Athena noticed and asked "What's wrong Perseus?" "Artemis and Orion" I said simply and she understood immediately "Hey it's okay. We'll show them! You're going to have a great time!" Athena said "I don't doubt it if I'm with you" I said flirtatiously while smiling at her. She stayed silent but a beautiful smile adorned her face. "I know that you're not really the friend goddess but I was wondering if you wanted to be friends?" I asked her "I thought we already were"Athena said and I couldn't help but smile at that
"May I have this dance?"I asked her after a few moments of silence
"Of course, Perseus" She said and we walked to the dance floor together
She put her hands around my neck and I put my hands around her waist and we started dancing to the slow song.
ARTEMIS POV
"Orion, I should at least give the first dance to Percy since I did go with you and he's my boyfriend" I said
He frowned but said "Fine. I'll be waiting here"
I went around looking for Percy until I saw him and I smiled. But then I saw his arms around Athena. He went to the dance with Athena!? How dare he! (Ironic huh?) I was going to give him my first dance but he just goes with Athena?! How could he?! He's MY boyfriend! NOT ATHENA'S! HE IS MINE. MINE I TELL YOU! I thought that we could dance together...I guess not…
PERCY POV
As we finished the song, Athena's head was placed softly on my chest and I was kind of leaned into her. But alas, we had to break apart.
"I'll go get us some nectar" I said and walked away to go get something for the most beautiful woman in this room. Yes, Athena is more beautiful than Aphrodite. There's no competition. I got two glasses from the table and started to make my way over to Athena again. Gods, she's so beautiful.
"Here you go" I said and handed her one of the glasses of nectar
"Why thank you Perseus" She said and flashed me a smile
"It was no problem to get one for you" I said and also flashed a smile at her
"I'm not much of a dancing person...you?"I asked her
"I'm not a dancer Perseus" Athena stated
"Well, you sure are a good dancer" I said and she smiled
"I'm sitting down; I don't feel like dancing." I said
"I feel the same way Perseus, let's go" Athena said and we walked to the nearest empty table
The ball continued and I have to say it was quite enjoyable with Athena as my date. She was funny and smart. Of course, she was also beautiful.
Athena was laughing but suddenly she stopped. I looked at her confused and she whispered "Artemis and Orion are headed our way" and I immediately understood and I growled softly so that only she could hear me
"But why? I was having a wonderful night without them interrupting until now"I whispered back quickly so they couldn't hear
She wanted to respond but Artemis and Orion already arrived at our table.
"Hello Athena and Percy"Orion said and glared at me when Artemis wasn't watching but Athena noticed
"Nice to meet you, brother and Artemis" I said with so much hate in the word brother but Artemis didn't seem to notice
We exchanged greetings and then Artemis and Orion sat down at the table also.
I wasn't very happy about that and I don't think Athena was that thrilled either…
We sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes until Athena decided to go back to her palace since it was getting late but I knew she just didn't want to be here and I also didn't so I said "I'll go with Athena" and she smiled at me and I smiled right back. I put my arm in a way so that she could hook her arm through again and she did. We tried to leave the table as fast as we could.
Once we were outside, I said "Thank the gods, we don't have to be there anymore"
"I understand your pain. Did you notice how painfully awkward it was when they sat down?"Athena asked
"Of course I did. It was terrible. I thought it was never going to end. It felt like eternity" I said and she nodded her head in agreement
I had to admit I was happier to spend time with Athena than Artemis.
I didn't know what to think of that...
GUYS I WANTED TO UPDATE EARLIER BUT I JUST COULDN'T FIND THE TIME. THE LAST FEW MONTHS OF SCHOOL ARE REALLY BUSY...BUT I'LL TRY! BUT IF THERE ARE MORE REVIEWS..I'LL TRY TO UPDATE ASAP. MAYBE IF YOU GUYS GIVE ENOUGH REVIEWS..YOU'LL HAVE A NEW CHAPTER NEXT WEEK! SO PLEASE REVIEW!
