Hope you guys enjoyed the last chapter and if you like the new layout anyways that's all onto the next chapter.
We got to the outskirts of the town near the beach before we caught up to the Galactic Grunt. Although he wasn't running, more like talking to himself.
"We needed the energy from the valley windworks to make this. It would take a scientific genius to make this someone like the boss...GAH!, you're following me I'd usually crush you with my Pokemon but the boss wants the results ASAP, so I can't play with you guys.
Before Susie and I could stop him he ran off again.
"It looks like he's heading towards the lake, let's keep chasing him.
"But won't he outrun us?" Daz asked.
"Nah, I think he will run out of breath some point, so Daz follow that trail."
We got to the beach area on our right there was a house and an outcrop of rocks closer to the ocean, on our left, there was a sheer cliff face. We walked over to the collection of rocks to see if the grunt was there. A short walk there proved us wrong not a sign of him, but there was another outcrop nearer to the clifface. So we decided to check the there, and we saw the grunt sitting on a rock looking out to sea. When we approached him he was talking to himself again.
"But, boy, does this galactic bomb sure pack a pretty big wallop with this bad boy. There's not much we can't blow up, mountains, lakes, anything really. I really wonder what plans they have in store for this bomb."
He then noticed us sneaking up on him.
"AH! You again, you were eavesdropping... I was um thinking out loud, but you two are like persistent pests and I'm getting tired of running away, but If you think I'm going to fight you think again. I won't waste time and energy knocking you two around."
He turned and ran again leaving behind a cloud of dust. Before we could chase after him, Looker ran up to us and said.
"Hello, my friends long time no see, but this is no time to stand on ceremony as the cargo team galactic brought is worrisome, so I have come.
"T-the c-cargo was a bomb and it was d-detonated in the great marsh." Susie stuttered out.
"Also we have been chasing the Galactic grunt who set the bomb off."
Looker put his hand to his face in a thinking motion.
"Hmm, so the cargo was a bomb? And there was a detonation of the bomb inside the great marsh. Furthermore, you two are in pursuit of a man with a bowl cut and wears a funny suit, so in other words... definitely the work of team galactic."
I facepalmed and Susie shook his head while Daz and Crystal looked at us confused.
"Oh no no no how did I miss it? Ah, looker this time you have made a mistake for the ages! The man you have been chasing and I saw running away was the bearer of the bomb!"
"What no way?!" I exclaim sarcastically.
"Ack! This will not do! Wait I say, wait!" Exclaimed looker as he ran after the Galactic Grunt
He ran in the direction of lake resort, Susie chuckled.
"What?"
"U-um w-well he has not changed much has he?."
"Mmm, now that I think of it your right but we need to keep chasing him so let's go alright gang."
We went in the same direction looker went and after a few minutes, we reached the lake resort. Where we had passed through on our way to Pastoria city.
"Well we're here now so where do we go now, Emilia?" Daz questioned.
"Ummm, let's go into the hotel and see if he's there but if he's not."
"I-if h-he's n-not in t-the hotel m-maybe we should head to the lake instead?"
"Good idea Susie, to the hotel first."
We walked into the hotel and saw Looker at the desk talking to the receptionist he then noticed us.
"Ah my friends I'm interviewing the hotel staff and other people around here if they have seen the team galactic member, so I have this area on lockdown. Why don't you search around the lake?"
"Huh, you were right Susie, maybe not in the way you said it but you were right, don't worry Looker were on it."
The detective nodded gratefully and turned back to the receptionist, me, Susie, Crystal and Daz turned around and headed in the direction of the lake.
We followed the path towards Veilstone city and after a few minutes we saw the entrance to the lake we camped at a few days before, then we saw the Galactic grunt bent over with his hands on his knees huffing and puffing he then noticed us out of the corner of his eye.
"Awww you guys again, and you are still chasing me, but the lakes right there. You leave me no choice my pokemon will knock you out let's go Croagunk!"
"Daz your up."
"Croagunk use sucker punch!"
The Croagunk made no move.
"Daz use Flamethrower!"
Daz takes a deep breath, but before he could release it into an attack the Croagunk made a lightning-fast move and slammed his fist into Daz's chest, knocking the wind out of him and knocking him off his feet.
"Daz!" Crystal calls out in concern.
"Quick Croagunk use sludge bomb!"
Crap if I don't get Daz out of there now he's gonna-... wait... hold on what's he doing?
Daz had gotten back on his feet and charged the Croagunk. Suddenly his body became enveloped in flames and just blitzed through the Croagunks attack. Daz's attack connects and before the Croagunk can recover, he slams an Iron tail into its body launching the small frog pokemon into a tree it.
"Wo- wow Daz are you okay there buddy?"
"Yeah I'm fine so what do we do with the Galactic grunt now?"
"Huh, what grunt?"
I looked to where the Grunt should have been only to find him gone.
"Ah god dammit all of that running around and effort with nothing to show for it."
"D-don't w-worry Emmy m-maybe we will get him next time."
(Daz pov)
While Emilia and Suzuki were talking to each other Crystal walked up to me and asked.
"Are you alright?"
"Well I'm better now at least, I...I just had to blow off some steam you know, I was kinda angry that I couldn't do anything after you got knocked out.
Crystal nodded understandingly and said.
"Yeah, I guess I understand that feeling but please try not to get like that again, I don't like seeing you like that."
Crystal and I nuzzled into each other only to be interrupted by Emilia and Suzuki staring at us.
"Unlike Emmy, at least Daz is honest about how he feels," Crystal says mocking while sticking her tongue out.
This caused Emilia to turn into a stuttering mess until a tall blonde haired, grey-eyed woman appeared, wearing a Black coat with fur trim and a plain black T-shirt with black trousers walked up to us.
"Oh hello, Emilia long time no see, How's your Pokedex filling up?"
"Oh, Cynthia what are you doing here? Also, the Pokedex is filling up fine."
"Well, I came here to read up on the lore of this lake but…"
She looks behind her to the entrance of the lake at the signpost saying it was closed.
"I don't think that's possible right now, anyway do you know the lore of this lake?"
"Yep, there apparently is a legendary pokemon in this lake."
"Yes, that's correct it's also said that it lives in an island under the water and that no one should go into its chambers."
"T-that's p-pretty interesting."
The person now known as Cynthia seems to only just take notice of Suzuki for the first time.
"Oh, whos this one of your friends Emilia?"
"Yeah this is Suzuki Tokugata and he is my boy- I mean childhood friend."
Suzuki shyly waved at Cynthia, Cynthia clearly puzzled at the fact that he is a boy returns the wave.
"There was also something else I needed to talk to you about."
"Oh, what is it?"
"Did you see the Psyduck on route 210."
Emilia clicks her finger while thinking.
"Yes, we did by the cafe right?"
Cynthia nods.
"That's right by the cafe there is a group of Psyduck with their head in there….uh hands? Yes, hands anyway if you're heading up that way use this medicine on them and that should help. I'll see you around, bye Emilia, bye Suzuki!"
"Well, she's a nice person what do you think Daz?" Crystal asks me.
"Yeah, she like a nice person is she a trainer?
"Yep, she is the pokemon champion for this region."
"W-wow Emmy, how did you get to know her?"
Embarrassed Emilia began rubbing the back of her head.
"Well I met her after my gym battle in Eterna city and um... we talked and we really hit it off then we started talking about the Pokedex, then we talked about her adventures she took, so fast friends I guess."
"S-so are w-we going to h-head to route 210?" asked Susie
"No… well not yet at least I haven't checked in with mum for a while and she told me to drop by whenever I have the chance to, so I don't see why we can't go see her now before we go to the next gym."
"I like it. It sounds nice to take a break once in a while." Commented Daz
"I guess we could take a path that takes us past the cafe, that way we can do two things at once."
"So we are going to all they back through Veilstone city and the wet depressing path we took to get there?" Crystal asked
"Yes."
Crystal just huffed in response.
"To be honest it's better than walking through a swamp to get back to Hearthome city so quit complaining"
"Susie, how are we doing for supplies?"
Susie took off his bag and rummaged through I did the same making sure to check how much food we have for the pokemon and ourselves.
"Um, we may need to restock in Solaceon town so that means we can walk straight through Veilstone city. Which would cut down the time of our journey a little bit."
"Let's get travelling then, we have a long march ahead of us."
Crystal just groaned in response
So we began walking towards Veilstone city the gyms scarlet roof peeking through the trees being one of the first signs we had reached our destination.
The grey dull exterior of the buildings was a contradiction to how busy the city is. With Pokemon and their trainers waking about the city and people carrying bags with items, they brought from the department store.
"Susie are you sure we shouldn't stock up before we got to Solaceon town?" Asked Emilia
Suzuki paused and started counting fingers for some reason mumbling about food then he turned to Emilia and said.
"No, we don't need to we since we have enough food for us and the pokemon to last us until Eterna city and we still have plenty of potions."
Then Emilia's stomach gurgled to which she blushed in embarrassment, Suzuki laughed lightly.
"I could go for some food right now, what about you guys?"
"I think some food would be good before we head down route 215."
With the idea in mind, we headed towards the department store the familiar building. Entering the air-conditioned building we walked straight to the elevator, Emilia pressed a button on the panel after a few seconds the doors closed and I felt the elevator descend, The elevator stopped and the doors opened we got a view of the food court with various counters specializing in different types of food produce aimed at both pokemon and trainers, for pokemon there were poffins and berries. For trainers, there was a bakery, a small restaurant and a shop selling light food and snacks.
"Woooow," Crystal awed in amazement.
"Yeah wow," I agreed with Crystal.
"Geeze there are so many choices, Susie what are you feeling?"
"U-um I'm not feeling major hungry but a bento box sounds nice."
"Bento box? Whats a bento box?" asked Crystal.
"Ah, a bento box is sort of like a meal for one that has a bunch of different things in it, and is usually decorated to look like pokemon that taste pretty good." Explained Emilia.
"Oh, that sounds cool."
"But they don't compare to Susie bento boxes."
Susie blushed under the praise.
With lunch explained Emilia and Suzuki walked to the shelves where on a row there we bento boxes, each designed to look like a different pokemon, Suzuki picked one that looked like a Pikachu, and Emilia chose one that looked like a Piplup.
Emilia took her's and Suzuki's bento boxes to the cashier who scanned them.
"That will be 3,160¥"
"Emilia reaches into her into her bag and retrieves a wallet, she opens the wallet and hands the cashier a few crumpled notes."
"Here's your change and enjoy your day."
"Thank you." Replied Suzuki as we walked away from the cashier.
We exited the building and headed over towards a clearing with rocks in craters, where we sat down and started eating lunch with everyone else's pokemon who still tried to convince me and Crystal that the "food" they ate was actually good, but I and Crystal refused.
Emilia using chopsticks to place a rice ball in her mouth moaned in delight and began chewing with a cheery expression on her face, Suzuki likewise began eating his bento box with slightly less dramatics than Emilia.
"So after wunch we fwill be heading to Solafceon twon, and wiff we ave enoughtt tim Hearthome city." Emilia mumbles with her mouth full.
"Emilia! Don't speak with your mouth full!" Suzuki admonished.
"I'm thorry."
"Swallow your food then try again."
Emilia swallows her food.
"I'm sorry"
"Like I was trying to say we eat lunch. Then we travel to Solaceon town and if we have enough time making the trip to Hearthome city sound good?"
Everyone made sounds of agreement. After lunch was finished most of the pokemon got returned to their pokeballs other than me, Crystal and Barney. Emilia and Suzuki packed up everything used for lunch and put their trash in the bin. Once that was done we got moving again, going through route 215 the weather was cloudy and it looked as if it would rain any second but it held and the terrain was muddy with feet getting sucked into the mud. My fur was catching clumps of mud making the journey uncomfortable for me.
Crystal on the other paw tripped and fell into a puddle staining her light blue fur a dirty greyish hue of blue and we all laughed at her, she pouted refusing to talk to me for the rest of the journey.
Suzuki and Emilia talked about their hometown occasionally telling us things they did when they were younger.
We arrived at the cafe near solaceon town with little incident and just as Cynthia had said there was a large group of Psyduck with their heads in their hands.
"So if we give em this medicine they will get better?" Emilia said while holding the bottle of medicine.
Suzuki nodded
"Yep but that's a lot of Psyduck, do you have enough for them all?"
Emilia opened the bottle and shook around the contents making a loud rattling sound.
"Hmm, I think that should just be enough for the Psyduck want to help me out, Susie?"
Emilia poured some of the pills into her hands and gave the bottle with the rest of them to Suzuki. The both of them together put the pills in the Psyducks mouths with Emilia's ability to talk to pokemon proving very useful here. After a few minutes the Psyduck cleared off and the route was now again open.
"You know that was rather easy I thought it would be a bit harder."
"But Emmy your ability to speak to Pokemon was really useful here."
Emilia blushed in embarrassment.
"It was no big deal you helped out a bunch here I don't think I could get around to all the Psyduck in time and still have enough time to get to Hearthome city."
"Speaking of time I think we should get going Emilia" Said Barney
Emilia looked at the sky and saw the setting sun.
"Yeah, it's time to get going again."
And we set off again heading through Solaceon town. At this time of the evening, only a few people were around either heading to the pokemon centre or their homes for the night. We continued through the town following the river to Hearthome city with a few conversations here and there but mostly everyone was tired and just wanted to sleep at this point.
We made it to Hearthome city around late evening, we headed straight to the pokemon centre going through the double doors Emilia booking the room for us.
The room we walked into was the standard set up two beds a desk in between then a TV mounted on the wall and a writing desk on the far end of the room with a closet in the wall.
A separate small kitchen area and an ensuite bathroom
Emilia fell face first on the bed and sighed.
"Haaah, we finally made it and boy I'm beat. I think I'm going to have a bath before dinner."
Suzuki nodded.
"I'll whip something up while you do that, then once that's done I'll take my turn in the bath."
"Okay. come on the Daz, Crystal lets get you two cleaned up."
We entered the bathroom before Emilia.
"So what do you think Emmy and Susie's home town like?" Crystal asked
"Well, they said it was a rather small with a town nearby and it's close to one of the lakes so I think it's going to be a pretty nice place."
Emilia soon entered wearing a towel that was struggling to hold her generous cleavage.
"You guys ready to get clean?"
"Can't wait for it." I deadpanned
"I think the mud has hardened up by now also where is Barney?"
"Oh, he's helping Susie make dinner now Crystal come here since you have the least dirt on you let's get you rinsed off first."
Emilia grabbed a bottle of shampoo for pokemon and squeezed some of it into her hands rubbing them together and then sinking her hands into Crystal's fur and started scrubbing away the dried mud and dirt. Crystal started purring as Emilia kept scrubbing away the dirt after a few minutes Emilia grabbed the shower head and rinsed off the suds from Crystal's fur, Crystal then shook herself dry.
"Alright that's one done Daz it's your turn now."
Emilia went through the same procedure with me but being more thorough with how she did it after she got all of the mud clumps out of my fur she rinsed me down with the shower head.
"Alright now your all clean get in the bath and relax like Crystal is."
I turned to look at Crystal to see her sink deeper into the bathtub while sighing in relief.
"Daz get in here it feels sooo good." Crystal moaned out."
I joined Crystal in the bathtub soon after Emilia hopped in.
"Haaaah, that feels so good especially after all that walking."
"So how much further do you think we have to go to get to your hometown?"
Emilia thought for a moment.
"Umm, if we cut through mt Coronet and take the route that leads to Oreburgh city we don't have to go too far to reach Jubilife city. Which isn't too far from my home town."
After a few minutes, I and Crystal got out of the bath and shook ourselves dry and headed into the small kitchen area where Barney was helping Suzuki make dinner. Barney was the first to notice us.
"Oh hey, guys!" He waved to us with his tail
"Ooo, food smells good what's Susie cooking?"
Barney looked back over to Suzuki and said: " I don't know but it has a lot of noodles in it."
Emilia exited the bathroom in nightwear.
"Susie the bath so I'll take over cooking for the last few minutes and you go and take your bath."
"Ah, alright I've just finished breading the pork so can you put that into fry and once that has been done put it on a plate with the shredded cabbage and pour the sauce over it. Not too much for me please Emmy."
"Nice we're having Tonkatsu?"
Suzuki shouted from the bathroom. "Yep!"
"Nice, now I put it in gently… then take it out when golden brown I think?"
Emilia carefully lowered the pork chops into a pot of boiling oil occasionally turning them over. After a few minutes, she pulled the golden brown Pork chops from the pot and placed them on a plate with a handful of shredded lettuce then proceded to drench her portion in a sauce and Susie's portion in a smaller amount of sauce than hers.
"Susie foods ready!" Emilia shouted to Suzuki
"Okay, I'll be right out." He answered
He soon appeared wearing nightwear as Emilia was setting the table. He walked to the small kitchen area and poured some food into bowls for me and Crystal.
"Mmmm, Susie this tastes great." Emilia singing her normal praises to Suzuki
Suzuki blushed in embarrassment.
Once dinner was done and the dished cleaned Emilia and Suzuki went to their beds, Barney slinked into Emilia's bed and Crystal and I curled up on the end of Suzuki's bed.
"Night guys" Emilia yawned out
"Good night Emmy" Suzuki quietly said.
I fell asleep after listening to Crystal's soft snoring lulling me into drowsiness and soon sleep.
Boom done and it didn't take two months wow anyway thanks for reading and uh I'll be back soonish if I can keep up the pace...hehe alright cya.
Also, side notes the deep fat fried pork chop is actually really easy to make all you need is a pork chop some flour eggs and breadcrumbs panko ones if you can get them badabing bada boom all the stuff you need to make it.
it's also tasty so give it a good at making it.
