Hey everybody! It's time for another update!

So, some of you were confused by the ending of the last chapter; it's fine because my (weird, random) mind does not always make sense to other people. So, here is a simple of what happened (I think):

-Antonio ran off after Lovina while Gilbert went after Madeline.

-Antonio managed to get Lovina to stop running and he was surprised by himself because he kissed her.

-Once Lovina realises what has happened, she starts to shout at Antonio for picking Feliciana over her.

-Antonio then ends up shouting at himself and tells Lovina he didn't know what he was thinking, he was too oblivious to realise.

-Antonio finally gets some Spanish balls and confesses to Lovina.

-When Antonio realises what he has done, he starts to apologise to Lovina, still oblivious to Lovina's feelings (even though they kissed, Antonio thought it was only him kissing her).

-Lovina tells him to shut up and she kisses him, showing her emotions through the kiss.

-When Lovina comes to terms of what she had done, she apologises to Antonio because he love him but she remembers Antonio is dating her sister, Feliciana.

-She then also apologises to him saying 'she can't fall out of love' because she has loved him most of her life and cannot get over this love she has for him.

-Lovina ends up running off, confused and upset because of everything.

Does that make more sense?

Please PM me or review if you still don't get it, I'll explain more if I have to. And for those people who did get it first time, I applaud you for following my weird mind wave length. I just realised that I make Lovina to a lot of running which is kinda ironic because I cannot run to save my life.

Anyway!

Chapter 14

The next morning had gone quickly; Lovina had managed to escape from Antonio many times today. Lovina had just changed into her grey tank top and her three quartered army shorts. She was standing up and looking out of her window, the sun was shining brightly as she looked out onto the tomatoes that she and her family grew but it was mostly her. What? Yes, the Vargas grew tomatoes in their field, don't judge them. Lovina was brushing her auburn hair with her hair brushed until she walked over to her table and grabbed a bobble to put her hair up. Once her hair was in a ponytail, she sighed as that one stubborn curl that wouldn't stay down, no matter what she did. There was a sudden knock on the door.

"Feli! Answer it!" she shouted and heard the sound of running feet and a 'Ve~' as she ran down the stairs. Lovina rolled her eyes as she heard the front door open and voices but they were too quiet for Lovina to hear. The Italian then picked up an empty box that she could put her tomatoes in before she shut the door of her room with her foot and then she descended down the stairs. Lovina came down the stairs as she held the box but stopped halfway.

"Feli who-" Lovina stopped her question and walking down the stairs as she looked to see who was at the door, it was Antonio. The Spaniard's jade green eyes went past Feliciana and looked straight to Lovina, nobody spoke a word. Suddenly, Romulus came out of the living room and noticed the sudden stand still.

"I'll help you with the tomatoes Lovina." Romulus' voice snapped Lovina out of her gaze with Antonio and she looked to her elder.

"R-really?" it had been so long since Romulus wanted anything to do with her and now he wanted to do something with her? Talk about a 180 spin.

"Sí! I'll take that off you," Romulus said and smiled at Lovina before talking the box off of her and he then went into the kitchen to the back door, opening the door and walking into the back field. Lovina's eyes then landed back on Antonio and his gaze hadn't left her since she had come down the stairs. Both of them just looked at each other; jade green into golden.

"Il mio primogenito nipote!" Lovina then looked to where Romulus had shouted.

"I'm coming!" she shouted before she spared Antonio one last glance before going down the last steps away from Antonio and her sorella.

There was a silence between Antonio and Feliciana for a while before Antonio coughed and it got Feliciana's attention.

"Feli, I need to talk to you," Antonio said

"Ve~! Ok! Let'sa walk and talk!" Feliciana sang before she slipped on some shoes and walked out of the door, leaving Antonio to shut the door behind her.

Lovina wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her right hand, her left holding a basket that was full of ripe tomatoes. She looked to her left and leaned back a little to see Romulus humming to himself as he picked the tomatoes, occasionally eating one or two.

"Hey!" Lovina shouted and Romulus looked up to her, "no eating the tomatoes yet!"

"Por favore nipote!" Romulus wined and Lovina sighed, he always acted like this when he was full of energy.

"Alright them, but," Lovina said and paused before continuing, "don't eat them all."

"Yay~!" Romulus said happily before he continued to munch on a tomato he was eating and Lovina started to munch on one too, they were so nice! And she had grown them so she was allowed too! After she had finished her tomato, she went over to Romulus and placed the full basket next to the others.

"Hey Rome." Romulus turned immediately to the name; Lovina had only ever called him that when she was a little toddler because she couldn't say his full name yet.

"Sí?"

"Why did you want to help?" Lovina asked

"Just because our nonno is a handsome man doesn't mean he can't get his hands dirty," Romulus said and smiled.

"Old, not handsome," Lovina corrected him

"So mean~" Romulus sang out as he was filling his basket with tomatoes but it wasn't going to be filled because the old man kept eating them.

"No, really, why did you want to help?" Lovina questioned

"I want to split my time with mi nipotes!"

"But you always spend time with Feliciana and never notice me." Lovina's comment made Romulus stop what he was doing and face up so he could turn and face Lovina.

"Is that what you think mi nipote?" Romulus questioned and Lovina opened her mouth but closed it and looked away, she nodded. Romulus just walked over to Lovina and pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly. Lovina kept her arms stuck in between both of them as Romulus hugged her.

"Feli is like a delicate flower you see, she has to have the attention all the time otherwise she wouldn't be the same," Romulus said and he then tiled his granddaughter's chin so she was looking at him.

"But you Lovina, are so much stronger than that. You're so much stronger than you really think and I know because I've seen so. You are the rock of this family in my opinion because I have never seen you break, no matter what you go through. I treat you that way I do because I know you can handle anything anyone will throw at you and yet you will get through it, no matter what. It may seem like I forget about you but I know that you don't like to have the attention that Feli loves. You've grown so much over these years that it's starting to make me feel like my real age," Romulus said and his eyes were sparkling; with pride or tears, Lovina couldn't tell.

"And it may look like I hold your sister closer to me than I hold you but to be honest mi nipote, I hold you so much holder than anyone else because you remind me of myself when I was your age and I don't want to let you go." By now, Romulus was in tears and so was Lovina herself but she was blinking her back. The Italian girl then got on her tip toes and used her thumbs to brush the tears from Romulus' face.

"See? You're still strong as ever while your old man is a weeping willow," Romulus said and laughed as Lovina used her thumbs to now wipe stray tears.

"I don't consider you to be that old, only a little," Lovina said shyly, a little smile on her face that she tried so hard to hide. But Romulus had already seen it and burst into a bright smiled before he crushed Lovina in a hug.

"I remind you…of yourself?" Lovina said quietly, her hands messing at the loose threads of her nonno's shirt.

"I used to be exactly like you when I was a teenager but then I met pretty ladies," Romulus said and chuckle as Lovina slapped him lightly, "what? I can't resist beautiful women."

"I know, beauty is a weakness of yours," Lovina said, quoting Romulus.

"And you are a weakness of me," Romulus smiled and Lovina'a face went bright scarlet.

"Stai zitto!" Lovina snapped as she then wriggled out of her grandad's grip and went back to the tomatoes.

"Awwww~ Loviiiiii! We were having such a moment!" Romulus wined

"The moment's gone," Lovina said

"Oh! Mi nipote?" Romulus then said

"Sí?" Lovina replied as she picked up another tomato basket and looked to Romulus.

"I see how that boy looks at you." Lovina went bright red and the blush went to the tip of her ears, either that or it was sunburn.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Lovina said, hoping her voice wouldn't waver.

"You know exactly how I am talking about," Romulus said, "I'm talking about Antonio." Romulus then sighed as he walked up next to Lovina.

"I've never seen such a love struck guy in my life and it's only when he looks at you Lovina, not your sister."
"He's dating sorella," Lovina said through gritted teeth

"Sí, I know but he loves you Lovina, it's clear as day," Romulus said, "Your sister likes that other boy, Ludwig."

"That potato bastard," Lovina mumbled

"Potato bastard?" Romulus repeated.

"Sí, he's a potato. He's a German and he likes fucking potatoes-"

"Language mi nipote!" Romulus interrupted but Lovina just huffed.

"He's messing up sorella's cooking!" Lovina snapped before she sighed again, "I guess he's not that bad… but he's still a potato bastard," Lovina said.

I'll have to find out about this 'Ludwig' from Feliciana," Romulus said, "but I admit it mi nipote, Antonio likes you."

"He's dating Feliciana," Lovina snapped and scowled

"Sí, dating her for now but I've got a feeling it'sa going to change," Romulus said and wiggled his eyebrows; earning an elbow to the stomach.

"Is this that 'funny fuzzy feeling?' And the eyebrows are just disturbing," Lovina said as she rolled her eyes.

"Don't be mean to my funny fuzzy feeling!" Romulus pointed to his stomach, "it's never failed me yet."

"The key for in that sentence is 'yet'," Lovina mumbled

"And it never will," Romulus said, "you watch," Romulus then winked at Lovina.

"I think the sun is affecting you're head," Lovina said and sighed as she picked up two tomato baskets in her arms and started to walk into the house.

"Don't leave me~!" Romulus sang as he then grabbed the remaining baskets and followed Lovina inside. Lovina placed one of the baskets she had in her arms on the kitchen table and then went and put the other in the living room, on the coffee table. The Vargas' made sure they never ran out. Lovina then went back into the kitchen and took the baskets off Romulus as he started to make Italian coffee for them. Lovina went upstairs slowly as she then opened her bedroom door with her foot and placed one of the baskets on her bed (she wasn't going to share them dammit! She grew and harvested them!). Then Lovina left her room and hopped down the stairs with the remaining tomato basket to see Feliciana was in the kitchen, talking away with her hand gestures going everywhere. Romulus was leaning against the counter, one hand leaning on the counter and the other was wrapped around the cup of Italian coffee. Lovina put the tomato basket down on the table next to the other one because she didn't know where to put it for now. Usually, she would give one to Antonio but he wasn't around.

"And that's it?" Romulus asked

"Ve~ sí!" Feliciana said and Lovina looked to her sorella before to the Italian elder and Lovina could see he was smiling mischievously from behind the mug.

"Feli, why don't you tell Lovina the news?" Romulus said and Lovina glared at him before looking to her younger sister.

"Ve~ me and Antonio broke up," Feli said and then Lovina understood what Romulus was smiling at. Lovina then looked to Romulus and he used one hand to pat his stomach before putting back on the counter so he could lean on it. Lovina was sure she could hear his laughter and chuckling from behind his mug but Lovina turned to her sister.

"How so?" Lovina questioned

"Ve~ we went for a walk and started to talk about us as a couple. He said that we should see different people and I agreed with him! Ve~ I asked why and he said that his heart belonged to someone else~!" Feliciana smiled, not seemed to be fazed that she had just been dumped; she really was a happy child but nobody seemed to notice that she wasn't wearing the red headband Lovina had given her. Lovina then looked back to Romulus who was just smiling.

"He's such a romantic sap," Romulus chuckled and Lovina glared at him, her eye twitching a little in annoyance.

"It'sa fine because I said I like someone else too!" Feliciana cried happily

"Did Antonio say who he loved by any chance Feli?" Romulus questioned and Lovina waited for an answer. Feli hummed for a little while before she clicked her fingers together.

"He said it was someone he had known since…forever! Ve~" Feliciana said

"I wonder who that could be," Romulus said from behind his cup and Lovina's cheeks went a little red but she was too busy trying to burn a hole into the elder's cup so it would spill all over him.

"Ve~! I don't know! Ve~ sorella, do you know?" Feliciana asked. Once Lovina had decided that the cup in Romulus' hand wasn't going to burn, she looked to her sister before shaking her head and shrugging her shoulders.

"Haven't got a clue," Lovina said as calmly as he could

"Ve~ oh well…" Feli trailed off, "Ve~ I better go ring Luddy! I need to tell him something!" Feli squealed before running off.

"That potato bastard!" Lovina snapped

"Ve~" was all that could be heard from Feli and then there was the sound of her bedroom door closing. Lovina then turned to Romulus who was smiling brightly from behind his cup, he wiggled his eyebrows at her before patting his stomach again.

"Not a word Rome," Lovina snapped as she grabbed her Italian coffee from the counter and went upstairs, "not a word!" she shouted as she then ran up the stairs. The elder man then tapped his stomach as he walked into the living room.

"I always sense it," he chuckled to himself before someone shouted.

"Stai zitto nonno!" Lovina's voice shouted from upstairs and Romulus laughed as he leaned back into the sofa with his cup of Italian coffee on one hand, the TV remote in the other.

"Sí, I'm never wrong," Romulus said to himself as he turned on the TV and leaned back into the sofa, sipping happily at his coffee.

The cold whipped around the field, making the grass flatten over like it was doing some kind of wave. Feet split the grass in half as they walked; head down and hands in their pockets. Madeline was walking in the field she loved, it was always full of flowers but because it was getting colder, it was just luscious grass. She was wearing her boots for once but she was still in her red pleated skirt and white blouse but she had thrown her red, maple leaf cardigan over. She now regretted doing so because it was getting colder and she was also getting cold. She shivered a little because of the wind but she kept walking, over the little hill. Maddie then stood on the hill and looked over the little valley, a little pond had gathered in it from some rain. She smiled to herself but then frowned and squinted as she saw a figure was walking in the valley as well. She scowled again and looked closer, nudging the glasses up her face a little only to notice the figure had also stopped.

Gilbert.

He was in black trousers and his coat covered his top half but Maddie could see his snow white hair from anywhere. It looked like it was taking Gilbert a moment to realise that it was Madeline. They hadn't talked since the other night when Gilbert danced with Lovina. Madeline was waiting in the side-lines but Lovina had ran off and Antonio had chased after her so Maddie had turned around and was about to leave when the sound of running feet and sudden arms wrapped around her. She didn't have time to respond as the arms span her around and her lips were quickly captured in a sweet kiss. It made Madeline so confused but when a hand went and stroked her cheek lovingly, she knew it instantly that it was Gilbert. When they had parted, both of them were red in the face and were looking at each other in shock, gilbert looked like he was trying to make his jaw form some words but Maddie then leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before she ran off. She didn't even know why she had ran off; her heart told her to stay but her mind was screaming no because it must have been a dream, Gilbert would never kiss her. A loud Prussian and an invisible Canadian? It was just a dream for Madeline. Maddie then noticed she was just staring at Gilbert and he was just staring right back at her, the wind blew her hair behind her as it ruffled his. Gilbert then started to walk forward and he was going into a run but Madeline's feet had already started to move by themselves like they knew what to do before she did. The Canadian had already turned around and was running down the hill, not bothering to look back right now. The cold wind hit her face and made her glasses steam up a little bit but she still continued to run. She then spared a glance backwards to see Gilbert wasn't behind her anymore so Maddie scowled slightly, not watching where she was going or what she was doing. Madeline turned back only to feel her foot trip over something, probably a rock. She yelped a little in shock as she tripped, quickly putting her arms out on instinct.

"Birdie!" Maddie heard the nickname but she had closed her eyes already. When she finally hit the ground, someone else was with her. It went all too quick for her to work it out, one minute she was running and now she was tumbling down the hill. Once she came to a stop, her back hit the grass and she let out a little 'oof' as her head hit the soft grass. She opened her eyes and they came into focus to see Gilbert was over her. His hands were by the side of her head, he was over her and his face was slightly red from the bitter wind. Maddie's fringe was in one of her eyes so she blew it out of her way and Gilbert then smiled at Madeline. For some strange reason, Madeline found this extremely funny because it was so cliché. Maddie then started to chuckled before it turned out to be a full laugh, surprising the albino. She tilted her head back slightly, her chest vibrating because of her own laughter. The corner of her eyes crinkled a little and she had a bright smiled on her face, her white teeth showing; Gilbert was too busy staring down on her as she laughed. To Gilbert, Madeline had always had the cutest laugh, it was like an baby angel baby's laugh. The Canadian's laugh affected the Prussian himself and he started to laugh as well. He rolled off Maddie and started to laughed as well. Both of them were in the middle of a field, laughing away quite happily over what had happened.

Another chapter is up! This may seem really short and random but I think it'll make sense later on, it is meant to be a filler chapter for now. I did have a plan for this but it has seriously gone of course with me having different parts I wanted to add, I'm so bad for not sticking to plans because of new ideas.

Anyway, I forgot to ask, how was your Christmas? Did you get everything you wanted? I hope you did! XD

Feel free to correct me! R+R

That's all for me! Ciao!
