I want to extend a special thank-you to Leyshla Gisel, WaterWarrior6, PrincessPipi and wabisabi1090, for never failing to review with your feedback and just being overall very awesome. Hopefully everyone you favorited and followed this will continue to follow all my fanfiction exploits which will continue for quite a long time, I can promise you guys :)
I really like this short little ending. I'm happy with it. I think it ties up everything quite nicely, as well as still leaving a little bit of mystery at the end. Hope you guys like it ;)
Thank you all again for being just awesome people and sticking with me for this long! I wish you all the best in your own writing and always remember that I love you all bunches!

A Year Later . . .
"Aww, is mommy not paying attention to you, little boy?" Kenna cooed as she stepped into the nursery containing her son. Defiantly crying and kicking his arms and legs through the air from his back in the crib, Kenna gave Andy a small smile as she reached in and took him out. He continued to cry but the crying ceased somewhat into sniffles as she held him in her arms and rocked him back and forth, soothingly shushing him the entire time. "I know, I know, Andy baby, mommy's sorry . . ."
"What's wrong with him?"
Kenna gave a laugh at the question that came floating towards her from another room of the flat, and she pressed a loving kiss to her sniffling son's head before moving out of the nursery and into the kitchen. Sean glanced up from the coffeepot where he was pouring himself a cup, when she entered and smiled when he saw them. "Andy being defiant again?" He asked, and Kenna smiled and shook her head. She bounced her son for a moment before answering him.
"No, he just woke up from his nap and is probably hungry." She told him as she moved over and began readying a bottle of baby formula. Sean nodded and opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by someone else entering the kitchen. Kenna stuck the bottle in the bottle warmer, and turned around to face him as it warmed. She grinned when she saw the soft look on his face.
"Okay, okay, I'll ask this again since I was so rudely ignored earlier: what's wrong with my son, woman?"
"He just woke up and he's hungry. I'm fixing his bottle now." She told him and Jase continued to smile as he nodded and moved over to them. Andy was laying there, his head on his mother's shoulder and occasionally sniffling and wracked with silent hiccups. His eyes connected with his father's as he neared him and his lip stuck out slightly, as if he could beseech his father into doing something to make his bottle warm faster.
"Andy, you poor thing . . ." Jase crooned before - after leaning heavily on his cane for support - grasped one of his newborn son's hands in his, where he pressed it lovingly to his lips. Kenna saw Sean's small smile from his spot by the coffeemaker as he took a sip of his coffee. When Jase straightened up, sharing a loving look with Kenna as he did so, he finally stretched out a cup of coffee to him. Jase thanked him as he took it and took a sip.
"How's your leg, man?" He asked while nodding to the cane he now had to lean on, and Jase rolled his eyes.
"Still fuckin' bum as shit." He muttered as he turned around and headed through the kitchen's archway into the warmly decorated living room. Kenna shared a look with Sean as she quickly retrieved Andy's bottle so that they could followed him.
"Still hurts you?"
"Still hurts me when it rains, snows – when it fuckin' fogs! Jesus Christ, I never knew a knife tearing through muscle and nicking an artery, would force you to walk with a cane, even in your fucking twenties!" He spoke, rather sarcastically, as he moved over to his desk and after plopping down into the seat, propped the wooden cane against the desk beside him. He stretched his bad leg out in front of him and Kenna gave him a small smile as she took a seat in the nearby rocking chair and shifted her son in her arms to where his head was lying in the crook of her elbow. Andy greedily latched onto the nipple of the bottle and began sucking as Sean gave a chuckle and leaned back against the desk.
"But hey, I bet it does wonders for inspiration, eh?" He asked, and Jase gave a shrug as he eyed the charcoal and pencil drawings strewn across the face of the desk.
"Somewhat. Drawing is easy – it's always been easy - but painting is Hell, man. I can't stand up for long lengths of time, so the huge paintings all these galleries want, I can't get to 'em in time for a deadline." He explained, and Sean nod as Kenna gave him a thankful look.
"Thanks for opening your gallery to him, Sean. We owe you one." She told him and Sean dismissively shook his head.
"Don't mention it. It's the least I could do after what happened with David on the island." He glanced between them. "How you guys dealing with that, anyway?"
Jase and Kenna shared a look and Kenna gave a shrug as she turned her eyes onto Andy. "Well, we sold the vacation house. Too many bad memories there for the both of us, you know? That earned us a pretty penny and not-to-mention, Alexis' entire fortune reverted to me upon David's death . . . never got around to changing his will, I suppose. Alexis' mother is naming me and Andy the beneficiary of her will as well, considering Alexis didn't have any other siblings or children and I was the closet she had. She always did like me and hated David, so I can say she was happier by how things turned out. Mom and dad's money should be coming in soon too – I graduate next month." She told him, and Sean nodded.
"You guys lucked out, didn't you?" He asked and Jase let out a snort of laughter.
"I don't know about you man, but I don't think we lucked out quite as much as we thought we would." He laughed before gingerly laying his hand on the spot of his shoulder where he had been stabbed the first time. It ached vaguely but went away after a moment. Sean grinned and shrugged before giving them both a wink.
"Just sayin' though . . . could have went down a whole lot worse than it did . . ."
