Robin gave Flash a little smack on the head pushing his makeshift helmet and slightly off-centering his red mask. HE was gestured to sit in the living room. "Hey dude some crazy shit has been going down we really gotta talk." Flash whispered.

"What kind of crazy shit?"

"There was another bombing… in Jump this time and Bats is losing his mind trying to find you and Raven right now. I thought you were in Jump! "

"Shit…I sent Raven there. I had…other business to attend to here so I couldn't leave. But the bombing in Jump is something Starfire will want to hear too, one sec."

Flash twitched recognizing the name but nodded. He pulled his yellow leather coat zipper down to get more comfortable and laid back onto the couch. Under his jacket was a read and yellow shirt with a lightening bolt down the middle. His kicked his sneakers up onto the arm of the couch.

Robin then walked over to the bathroom door, picking up the clothes as he did so.

He knocked, "Star? I'm coming in."

She dissipated the energy bolt and carefully stepped out of the shower as Robin walked into the room closing the door behind him.

"There's a guy here, Flash, he's a Knight but he's my friend so he won't say anything, don't worry."

She nodded and accepted the clothes. She pulled the sweats on under the towel. Robin quickly turned back around and walked out as the towel dropped and was replaced it with the shirt he had given her.

Once dressed, Star pulled the satchel over her shoulder and joined Robin and Flash in the main room.

"Wow. Well it is definitely a pleasure to meet you." Flash said, standing up and sticking his hand out to shake, "They call me Flash."

Star took his hand, shaking it gingerly, "I am Starfire."

"Pretty." He grinned releasing her hand and plopping back onto the couch.

Star smiled to herself "I thank you." Robin looked torn between annoyance and frustration.

"Soo should I ask or…?" Flash grinned pointing between the two.

Robin flicked his finger away, "Just start explaining what's going on."

Flash thought for a moment. He stood and took a long look at Starfire, assessing for himself her character.

"Well alrrighhtt King! Here's the deal, there was this big explosion at the Wayne Enterprise Plant that this guy" He pointed to Robin, "was supposed to be around to be first-on-scene and-"

Stars was shocked, "An explosion? In Jump City? Was anyone hurt?"

Flash nodded lazily, "Well yeah I think there were a few deaths but no one who matters so don't worry, anyway-"

She cut him off again, "That depends on how you perceive importance." She snarled, "Everyone of those workers mattered."

"Whooaa! Why the tone? Why do you even care they don't work for you!" Flash rebutted indignantly.

"They are still people." Robin posed. Starfire nodded crossing her arms angrily.

"You're right, you're right, I'm sorry. Anyway the whole thing is leveled and no one knows what happened. The surrounding buildings are fine. The damage was contained to Wayne owned land."

"Two major bombings…Do you have anymore information on the Steel City one?"

Flash flung a disk out from the bag he had on and handed it over to Robin, "As a matter of fact I do! Batman sent it to me. He was going to send Raven and I out tonight to do some recon! Told me that we should review this stuff first. The Knights out there sent it over after doing some initial investigating."

Robin examined it, "Do you know what's on this?"

"Just some footage the snatched from the day of the bombing, blue prints and some info off their systems. I haven't gone through it yet, I just got it."

They conversed for a bit concluded it would be best to review the footage Flash was given altogether. With no hook ups or screens other than the TV to use, Robin suggested heading to the Nest.

They left the apartment and made their way outside. Star handed Robin the memory stick and card from the Circus and as the boys left the apartment she quickly placed Raven's "gifts" on her bed where it wouldn't be disturbed if Robin came back before Raven did. The three flagged down a cab and headed out.

"You know that explosion was probably just some mistake moving something on the dock. I mean a lot of shipments go through there right? " Flash suggested sitting nice and cozy between the two.

Robin contemplated this, "That's true… we don't know necessarily what type of shipments either. I think that dock was one of the more important hideouts for the Queens though. There's a handful of reasons why someone would attack the Queens but to such a great extent... It would've been pointless to send Raven, I know my way around Steel City much better than she does."

"Perhaps she would've "seen" something yes?" Star added wiggling her hands on either side of her head. Flash wasn't paying attention but Robin paused and looked at her. He went to say something but stopped himself.

They got out of the cab and went through the back doors of the building breezing passed the security.

Robin lead Starfire and Flash up to the 3rd floor into a massive room shrouded in darkness except a small screen deep inside the room with the Knights Emblem illuminated on it.

Robin sat down and set up the disk, as he did he also plugged in a memory stick and began copying the contents of the disk onto it. The footage from each entrance was then opened on multiple screens and they began zooming through it on a low setting.

The day had gone on altogether normal for a shipping yard. A few members of the Queens were posted along each entrance, which was nothing unusual for a fairly well known gang run building. As the tape went on Star noticed a strangely familiar car pull up on one of the screens. On the same screen, the two guards on the doors nodded to the car and went off in different directions leaving their post.

Star's eyes locked onto a point in the recording. "Pause it and zoom into that corner."

Robin did as he was told. He recognized what she had noticed and zoomed further into the image. The screen modified and clarified the subject. A tall figure dressed in a tailored pinstriped silver suit with a bright red mechanical eye came into view.

"That is…Cyborg…" Star breathed.

Flash did a double take, "Cyborg like, leader of the Jump City Kings, Cyborg?"

"Yup." Robin replied, "What was he doing in Steel City?"

Starfire was silent, watching Cyborg's movements. He entered the building holding a chrome briefcase, which was not an unusual accessory for him. Moments later he was seen exiting the way he came and returning to the new and improved and not so conspicuous thickly plated blue and chrome T-car. After his departure the two guards returned to their place and the routine of the day continued as it normally would.

"Was he inspecting a shipment?" Flash offered helpfully towards a confused and wide-eyed Starfire. She looked increasingly uncomfortable with the idea that was settling in her mind.

"It could be." Robin replied, eyes locked on the re-winded image of Cyborg. "What shipping business do the Knights do with the Queens?"

"None" Starfire whispered. She touched the screen closest to her and felt a slight shock from the monitor. "none…" She repeated more to herself.

Robin and Flash looked to one another, wanting to ask what had Starfire in such a trance. Just as Robin turned to ask, a flash enveloped the room. A loud boom and ringing sounded echoed through the speakers on either side of each monitor. The bomb had detonated. For what felt like hours, but were actually only a few minutes, Robin, Flash and Starfire were tormented by the screams and cries of survivors of the attack fleeing and searching for help and safety.

The building was totaled. Completely run over like a mower over grass. Whatever bomb had caused such damage was new to Robin and Flash, however Starfire shivered at its familiarity. She began to feel more suspicious but was overwhelmed by the feeling of sorrow for the fleeing survivors.

Soon emergency vehicles appeared on each screen showing just how quickly the scene was locked down and just how much damage the responders had done to whatever evidence may be found on the site.

"What happened in there dammit!" Robin yelled. He kicked his chair back pushing Flash and Starfire away from their focus. They rewound the tape and played it once more trying to see if there was any other 'odd' interference other than Cyborg.

At the end of the third rerun, the three all looked crestfallen and frustrated- unable to notice any more important details. Without the security clearance or devices that monitored the interior, the three were all out of clues.

"Let's do one mo-" mid sentence Robin's phone shrieked a terrifying and spine tingling ringtone that everyone who knew better, knew to fear. His heart stopped for a moment before he answered.

"Batman."

And I just want to say thank you so much for all the encouraging messages telling me to continue the story! It's helped me to try writing as much as I can.
