"I think I'm going to faint," Caroline breathes, kicking off her boots and falling on to the sofa. "Do you need anything?" Klaus asks, coming over to her sympathetically. "I'm just glad we've got all the episodes done now," she sighs, pulling him down and curling in to him. "I didn't think Lexi would do that when we told her," Klaus grimaces, making Caroline smile. They had to tell Lexi that Caroline couldn't film once she started showing, so she put the whole team on overboard until they got enough episodes to declare a hiatus during summer. They had to tell her as soon as they could, even though she's the only one that knows. With the secret, she's the only one Caroline can gush her excitement on to and they've grown remarkably close.

Nobody noticed her odd eating habits or raging hormonal mood swings. Or at least they haven't mentioned them. Also, nobody noticed her avoidance of alcohol. She assumes that because she's never been a big drinker they haven't thought about it. They've been to five engagement parties over the last two and a half months and the doctor said she's well in to the safety zone by now, but she knows about her mother's problems. Despite having three healthy and wonderful children, before Damon she'd had two miscarriages and then one more between him and Stefan. After she told Klaus, he agreed to keep his mouth shut until she's ready to tell their family.

"Your brothers are going to kill me, aren't they?" Klaus sighs, putting his feet up on the table as she curls in to him. "Probably," she admits, scrunching up her nose. His fingers begin to trace over her little bump. "We need a vacation," she complains, beginning to massage her feet. He pushes her back against the sofa and lifts her feet on to his lap, massaging them for her. "I'm glad you said that," he smirks, looking at her shyly. "Because I've booked a long weekend to Paris for us in two days." She sits up, grinning at him. "We'll tell them when we get back," she promises, leaning over and capturing his lips with hers.

Caroline hums in delight, sat against Klaus on the balcony of their Paris hotel. His hand rests on her stomach over her silk robe and she smiles as the sun rises, casting an array of pastel colours across the sky. "I can't wait to bring our children here," Klaus whispers with a small smile, making Caroline's head spin around. "Plural?" She asks with a teasing look. "Of course," he grins dreamily. "I want to build an army to cause nothing but trouble for the rest of the world." She laughs, throwing her head back against his shoulder and swatting at his bare chest. "I am not birthing an army for you," she tells him lightly, "But I do agree to a large family. As long as we have more than Rebekah." He laughs, nuzzling her neck delightedly.

His hand slips under robe and he traces the roundness of her stomach. "Bump's hungry," she tells him with pleading eyes. "What concoction are you craving now?" He sighs worriedly, making her chuckle. She'd taken to bagels with strawberry ice cream and grated cheese last Sunday. "Just... lots of pastries," she mumbles with a little smile. "Come on and get dressed," he sighs with a laugh.

They walk hand in hand down the street, wrapped up in each other as they eat everything they come across that she craves. "All I want to do," he purrs as they stand at the top of the Eiffel Tower, "is take you back to the hotel room and ravish you senseless." She sighs, leaning in to him and blushing furiously. "Even though I'm eating like a horse?" she murmurs shyly, looking around to check nobody hears his sweet nothings that continue. "Nik, stop it," she hisses as his words make her hornier and wetter. "Nik. Hormones," she scolds, crossing her legs discreetly and tightening her thighs. He chuckles, the throaty noise pulsing through her veins at her neck. "Nik. Hotel. Now." He doesn't wait any longer to walk her out of the hotel.

Caroline grumbles to herself as her eyes open and she looks at the clock. It's almost 9 and they have to be at the airport for 4. Sitting up, her eyes catch sight of something and she screams before she can stop herself. Klaus dives up, ready to kill, but she waves her hand. "Nyahh," she lets out. He follows her eyes down to her stomach and his jaw drops. Her small bump seems to have exploded out. "I won't fit in any of my clothes," she whines, pouting as she looks at him. "You okay?" She asks worriedly, seeing him staring in something akin to horror. "There's a baby in that," he lets out, "Our baby is that. This is real. Oh god, I'm going to be a terrible father. What if I drop the baby? What if it hates me?"

She reaches over and slaps his cheek, snapping him out of it. "Don't be a dick, Niklaus," she hisses, shoving him down and sitting on his lap. "You are going to be an amazing father. Yes, you'll mess up, but so will I. We'll learn and our baby will love you. That fear you feel? That shows you won't be a terrible father because you care. You care so much, Nik."

He lets out a shaky breath, staring at her stomach before leaning down and snuggling in to it. She wants to giggle because his stubble tickles, but she knows she'll break the moment, so she just holds him and runs her fingers through his hair.

In one of her maxi dresses (that's now reaches mid-shin), they manage to get through the entire airport without being spotted - with the help of big sunglasses, hats and scarves. When they finally make it home, they've already sent out a mass message to get to the house the next morning.

They lie in bed together, staring up at the ceiling. "Why do you think I ballooned?" She asks quietly, turning to him. "You're in your fourth month," he offers, tapping away on his tablet, "Apparently it happens. Oh, and we have an appointment next week." She nods, mumbling as her teeth worry at her bottom lip. "I'll let everyone in, then they'll see why they're here. I'll hide behind you so your brothers don't kill me - or my sister and Katherine - then once everyone is calm, we'll deal with the questions, okay?" He promises, squeezing her hand. "Now, turn over, I want to spoon." She laughs at his blunt request but turns on her side, letting him turn of the lamp and come up behind her. His hand comes to rest on Bump and she lets all her worries melt away. If he's with her, loving her and their baby, then nothing else should matter.

AN: Short but fluffy. We'll have the big family fight in the next chapter, I promise. I was just tired and wanted to get something out for you all. I don't really have any inspiration (not just for Klaroline but for my entire life. I haven't picked up a paintbrush in months) so I'll try my best. Hope it's okay.
