I'm back at it again with chapter 13! There are probably two more chapters left for the TTC arc, then TBotL arc begins. Be warned, I may need some time off to come up with a good plot as I didn't expect to get this far. In fact, I didn't even expect to get more than 20 followers :/. But there is a chance I might just wing it, although I don't think I should. I don't want to bomb this story by rushing. The pairing poll ends next chapter! Arty is still in the lead with 29 while Harem is 2nd with 23. Remember, if Harem reaches 30 votes by next chapter, it will be the winner! Regardless of how many Artemis has. But don't worry because Arty will have a guaranteed spot on it. And also, fair warning, I have never done a fanfiction before this one, so I have no experience writing romance stuff. I personally would have prefered no pairing but I gotta do what I gotta do. Aslo, Talos will be a bit different from Canon. If you don't like it then its not my problem. I'm just trying to be creative and different, I don't want to copy Uncle Rick entirely. Hope y'all enjoy chapter 13 and don't forget to Favorite, Follow, Share, and Review!

PerzoePeranca chapter 13 . Sep 22

May i please change my vote from bianca to harem please. While I like pertemis i also want to see other pairings (not meaning anything by this). So at least this way percy can be with both artemis and other girls.

Me: Done.

KingPiggy1771 chapter 13 . Sep 22

Can you make Percy a little more OP? Like, he's been training with the primordials ABD Chaos for thousands of years so...? Also I, feel like there needs to be a bit more drama going on.

Me: That is where you are wrong. He has only been training with Nyx in his shadow powers. And in my opinion Percy is already overpowered as it is. He can freely control the blood in his enemies.(Only weaker beings. Nothing like Titans or stronger monsters.) And he is Immortal giving him more strength and endurance than the canon Percy. Not to mention he is the son of Atlas, the Titan of Strength and Endurance.

Guest chapter 13 . Sep 22

Please don't be one of those authors that start the story off really well and then end up having a crack fic!

Me: I'm assuming what you mean by crack fic, is crappy fic. Assuming that's what you mean, I'll try my best not to mess it up.

HyGamrchapter 1 . Sep 22

Its a good story and will read the rest of it, but can you please cut down your 'previously' sections. It only needs to be the last paragraph and it over does your word count, falsifying it. Otherwise good work and keep it up!

Me: I see where you are coming from but I feel that just having the last paragraph would be pretty pointless. I might as well not have it at all. And to be honest, I would be lying if I said that I didn't want an extra couple hundred words, but it's only a hundred or two. It's not like I'm doing the entire chapter.

Guest chapter 13 . Sep 23

Love what you have so far. I would like to suggest more mother and son bonding with Percy and Nyx they look like they have a good chemistry to be explored. Keep up the good work- random dude from the internet

Me: I plan on doing a bit of that :). You'll see in a couple of chapters.

Previously:

Percy did no such thing. The pure white limo approached the camp, before it could run over Percy, a transparent black barrier formed around the camp in a large circle.

The Limo slammed into the barrier, making it light up. The front of the limo was smashed in and the shrapnel slammed through the windshield.

Percy looked over at the destroyed limo, irritated. "Who the fuck invited you? Not me, so get the Hades out of here.", With that, Percy held out his hand and shot a bolt of dark energy at the luxurious car, sending it flying over the mountain. Soon it was nothing but a speck in the sky, blending in with one of the many stars.

The girls looked at him, shocked at his actions.

"Why did you do that?", Annabeth screeched. "The people in there could have been mortal!"

Percy scoffed at the daughter of Athena. "Now you're just being a nuisance. Tell me, why in Hades would a limo be in the middle of a ghost town?"

Annabeth spluttered at getting one-upped once again.

Zoë's eyes narrowed. "Yes, those were most definitely not mortals. So why did you do that? There was most likely a god in there."

Percy smirked at Zoë's face. "Because I don't recall it being in my job description to talk to the man-whore and whore of Olympus."

Thalia looked over at Percy. "Which one?"

Percy and Thalia snickered. "Good one."

"But they could have had information that we needed!", Bianca said.

Percy waved his hand. "Don't worry about it. I know what they were going to say. Beware the Junkyard of the Gods and not to pick anything up because it's cursed."

"Cursed with what?", Thalia and Annabeth asked in unison.

Percy scoffed. "Hell if I know. The Fates wouldn't allow my mother to tell me that kind of information. Saying that I could alter the prophecy again. Just keep in mind, One shall be lost in the land without rain.'."

Percy stood up and walked inside his 'tent', leaving the girls silent, in shock of what they went through in the past couple days.

Now:

"So this is the Junkyard of the Gods huh?", Thalia said to no one as she walked into the largest junkyard in existence.

The Junkyard had to be at least a mile long. There were mountains of scrap metal, old vehicles, automatons, weapons, and pretty much anything that is made out of metal. There was even a sports car made of solid gold. The rising sun was shining brightly and the entire junkyard seemed to be glowing.

"Remember, do not take anything. Unless you want to die a painful death. It is here for a reason.", Percy warned.

Everyone nodded in affirmation, but Percy still couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to go wrong. As the group walked across the junkyard, Zoe couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding permeating through the air.

Zoe stopped. "Something is wrong."

Percy turned to her. "I sense it too. I don't know what it is, so we must trek carefully."

Zoe crept her hand towards her bow, ready to bring it out at a moments notice. Thalia kept her hand on her canister of mace while Annabeth and Bianca had their own respective weapons ready.

Percy took the lead and walked through the junkyard, intent on making his way through without any confrontations.

"Why do they call this the Junkyard of the Gods? It looks more like a vault than a junkyard.", Bianca wondered out loud.

"There are many reasons why. The most prominent? They are paranoid. Mostly Zeus though.", Percy responded.

"But they can give this to their children! There are more weapons here than there are at camp, and these weapons are all amazing!", Bianca enthused.

"And that is exactly the problem. Zeus is scared that the children at camp will overthrow them with these weapons."

"Couldn't anyone just steal this stuff though? I mean it's just sitting here."

Before Percy could respond, Annabeth shouted,

"Hey! There's the exit!", Annabeth pointed towards the gate that was at the other side of the yard.

Percy sighed in relief at the sight of the gate. But he immediately drew that breath back in. Next to the gate were... giant toes.

"Umm are those what I think they are?", Thalia said pointing to the toes.

Bianca's eyes blinked rapidly. "Uh toes?"

"Big bronze toes.", Annabeth observed.

"And that brings the question, What are those 'big bronze toes' for? The only reason why someone would make something like that is for a...", Zoe said.

"Automaton.", Percy said, finishing her sentence.

Before anyone could unsheath their weapons, an ear-splitting screech of metal on metal tore through the air. The ear-wrenching sound was so loud Percy was sure his ears would start bleeding.

The questers were still recovering from the ear-piercing sound when Percy's voice rang through the yard.

"SPLIT!"

No questions were asked. Everyone ran at a different direction, just in time to avoid the 90 foot long sword.

When the dust cleared, everyone looked up to see the most terrifying sight they have ever seen. Bianca paled to the point that even Hades couldn't match her.

"What the actual fuck..."

"I can see why nobody has tried to steal from here..."

"I-is t-that Talos?"

"You just had to jinx us."

"Who the Hades makes a 130 foot tall automaton?! At least put some clothes on it!"

Percy stared at the monstrosity in shock. "Hestia, this better be one Hades of a reward.", Percy muttered.

This behemoth of a automaton towered over the squad, ready to defend its territory. It was clad in full bronze battle armor and itt held a bronze sword that looked like it could cleave the Burj Khalifa in half.(AN: The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. I was going to say World Trade Center but decided against it, seeing as it could be seen as offensive, not to mention disrespectful.)

The bronze monstrosity glowed in the sunlight, doing more damage with its brightness than sword. The metal behemoth rose to its full height, and looked down upon the crew. Even though it was wearing full armor, its privates could be seen. That led to Percy thinking why Hephaestus would give a 100 foot tall automaton genitals. Then he remembered that this was made in Ancient Greece.

Thalia quickly ran behind Talos and pulled out her canister of mace and Aegis. The spear crackled with electricity as she charged it up and pointed it at Talos. The bolt of lightning hit its leg, numbing it for a few seconds before it came right back up.

"How do we destroy this thing?!", Thalia shouted.

Percy answered by shooting a beam of midnight blue energy. The beam of darkness tore a hole through the armor of the metal giant. Instead of breaking down, oil began dribbling down the hole like blood.

Intent on doing more damage, Percy brought out his Glock-18 and began unloading bullets into the whole. Each bullet tore into the bronze skins little by little, sometimes even peppering holes into it.

Thalia seemed to get Percy's idea and copied him. She raised her hand to the sky and clouds began gathering around above the alloy giant. A bolt of lightning struck Thalia's spear, The spear began sparking with electricity. Thalia ran at the bronze behemoth with her spear raised like a javelin. She threw it with all her strength, and the spear tore through the air, sparkling with lightning.

The electric spear slammed into the hole and sent shocks through its entire body.

Percy took advantage of the situation and brought out his naginata and Eternity. He tossed his naginata towards Thalia who gave him a grateful smile. The two of them began wailing on the frozen giant. Percy slammed Eternity into the heel of its left foot and began chipping pieces off. Thalia did the same at its right foot.

Talos eventually got out of it's shock(AN: Pun intended. :) Expect more.) and began kicking at Percy and Thalia.

The dynamic duo backed off and began weaving through the impending kicks. Zoe, Annabeth, and Bianca began distracting Talos, giving the two time to back off.

Zoe shot arrows into its ears and knees, doing nothing but making it freeze up momentarily. Annabeth slashed at its toes with her short knife, making small gashes on its bronze feet. Bianca joined Zoe with her own black bow and began shooting.

Most of the arrows just bounced off or stuck in the bronze armor. Eventually, the arrows began agitating the metal behemoth.

Talos glowered down at Thalia and Percy in hatred as it glanced down at its deformed chest.

"I think we made it mad.", Thalia said nervously.

"Yeah and it's making me mad that it's still up and running even after getting a hole through its chest and electrocuted from the inside out.", Percy growled.

"Touche."

Talos raised his bronze sword in the air and brought it down. Percy and Thalia dove in different directions and began attacking the giant with their respective elemental powers. Thalia shot a bolt of lightning at its chest, making it stumble towards Percy. Percy smirked at the tumbling form of Talos and shot a bolt of dark energy at the hole.

The final attack blew straight out of Talos' back and into a nearby pile of scrap metal. Talos tumbled onto a knee and looked at the duo with pure loathing.

"In the name of the frickin' gods, just die already!", Thalia shouted in anger.

Talos decided to humor her. "I'm an automaton. I can't die.", a scratchy metal voice rang out.

Everyone froze and looked around before looking back at Talos.

"D-did y-you just t-talk?", Bianca stuttered.

Talos stood up and brought its sword up and swiped down at Bianca. Bianca's eyes widened as she watched the astronomical sword drop down on her. She quickly scrambled into a nearby shadow and disappeared. Not a second later, that shadow was obliterated.

Talos looked around, irritated that the daughter of Hades disappeared.

Percy used Talos' distracted state to his advantage.

"Thalia! Can you make it rain?"

"Well I can make storm clouds gather and conjure lightning bolts. Of course I can make it rain!", Thalia yelled.

"Then make it happen Thunder Thighs! I have a plan!", Percy yelled back.

Thalia scowled at the nickname but obeyed to his wishes. She raised a hand in the sky and focused her energy on the storm clouds above. The storm clouds began swirling in a circle and got darker and darker. Thalia opened her eyes as she felt the first drop of rain. Soon it was pouring down like no tomorrow.

Percy smiled in happiness as he felt the rain drench him. Feeling somewhat re-energized, he began manipulating the rain to form a ten foot long and three foot wide water sword.

"Thalia! Strike it's head with the biggest lightning bolt you can create!", Percy yelled as he brought the water sword up. He brought up both hands and shot the pressurized blast of water towards Talos' head. The blast of pressurized water shot through the air and blasted Talos' left ear off and tore through parts of its cheek, revealing bronze gears and wires.

Talos turned its disfigured head towards Percy and glared at him with malice. Percy just gave him a cheeky grin, confusing it immensely. Not even a second later, a bolt of lightning worthy of Zeus himself struck down on Talos giving it the shocking it to the next junkyard.

Talos convulsed from the electricity coursing through its 100 foot tall body. Talos slammed into the nearest mountain of junk and steadied itself on it before raising its sword again.

"IF YOU DON'T DIE FROM THIS NEXT HIT, THERE WILL BE HADES TO PAY! I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE AN AUTOMATON OR NOT. HADES, YOU COULD BE A TITAN FOR ALL I CARE", Thalia thundered in anger. (AN: :))

Everyone began backing away from Thalia. Even Talos seemed slightly shocked.(AN: The puns xD)

"Jeez it's that time of the month huh.", Percy mumbled.

Zoe glared at Percy but couldn't help but agree with him.

Talos brought his giant sword in the air. The massive sword covered the sun, bringing darkness down upon them.

Percy used the darkness to his advantage. He raised his hand towards the sky, and the shadows swirled around Percy, before solidifying into a large black sword slightly bigger than the bronze one. The strain of manipulating such a large shadow sent him on a knee. With the last of his strength, he brought the shadow sword down.

Talos brought his sword up to block it, but wasn't fast enough to completely deter it. The shadow sword slid down the bronze blade before slicing a gash from its cheek all the way down to its hips. A black line of oil began dripping down its body at a rapid rate.

Talos looked down in shock, not able to believe what happened. Talos' sword dropped into the dunes, creating a cloud of dust. Talos shortly followed.

Percy fell on his butt, completely wasted from knocking down Talos. Percy sat there for a minute, trying to get his breath back. The dust cloud wasn't making it any easier.

"Apollyon! Are you ok?", Thalia shouted while running towards him.

Percy coughed in response making Thalia sigh in relief. Bianca, Zoe, and Annabeth appeared behind her, all of them looking somewhat concerned. Zoe didn't know why she was concerned over this boy. She just felt that she had some sort of... connection with him. She felt comfortable and relaxed near him. His control over water made her slightly suspicious. He said that he was a son of Nyx yet he had water powers? So was his father a sea god? But Nyx wasn't depicted as the cheating type. She decided to move those thoughts out of the way and into the present.

Percy wobbled up, his legs still shaking from the overuse of his powers.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It seems that Hephaestus collected the pieces of Talos and rebuilt him into an even bigger and stronger automaton. Man, that thing is strong enough to go head to head with a Titan."

Thalia grabbed her spear and returned it into its smaller form. She tossed the naginata back to Percy. Percy turned Eternity into a ring and was about to turn his naginata back to a bracelet, when he felt his senses tingling.

"RUN!", Percy yelled.

The girls turned to him, only to get tackled to the ground by Percy. When they looked up they saw a sight that almost made them tear up.

Percy quickly turned around with a large round shield in hand just in time to be launched into the sky. The girls watched as a flash of bronze struck Percy's shield and sent him flying into a mountain of scrap metal.

"Apollyon!"

The girls didn't have time to see if Percy was okay. The falling bronze sword would have crushed Zoe, if she didn't jump out of the way. When Zoe looked up at the metallic menace, she couldn't help but grimace. It had gashes all over its body. Its face was severely deformed, its entire ear and half of its cheek completely destroyed with small gashes all over its face.

That was only the beginning of its problems. There was a 70 foot long gash going down from its neck to its hip. Next to the large gash, was a hole that went completely through its chest, along with multitudes of gashes on its feet and legs.

"How is it still alive?", Bianca asked in surprise and anger.

"This is more of the Hephaestus kids kind of deal, but either we are extremely unlucky and hit all the non-vital parts or its just built to be indestructible.", Annabeth explained.

Nobody expressed their opinions outloud, but everyone hoped it was the former.

Thalia brought only her spear this time, realizing that the Aegis would only be a hindrance in this fight.

Before Bianca could bring out her own weapon, Talos slammed his sword down next to Bianca. The impact was so strong she got the wind knocked out of her.

Talos brought up its sword, ready to crush the fallen Bianca.

Before Thalia could launch another bolt of lightning, she saw a flash of movement out of the corner of her eye. In fact, it was so fast she almost missed it.

The speeding blur slammed into Talos' raised arm and created the loudest and biggest explosion the girls had d ever seen.

The girls were so shocked, they barely avoided the flying piece of metal that dropped next to them.

When the smoke cleared, Talos was still standing, but the girls couldn't help but grin. Talos' left arm was completely blown off, along with half of its sword.

And around 200 feet behind Talos, was an F-15 Eagle.

"Why do you grin upon the face of devastation?", Talos rumbled.

If anything, that just made the girls' grins wider. Thalia just pointed behind him.

Surprisingly, Talos lowered his short sword(AN: For him at least.) and turned around, only to get a face full of Sparrow Missiles. Talos' roared in indignation and swung his short sword with surprising accuracy.

Percy barely spun his fighter jet out of the way, a second sooner and the F-15 would be missing a wing.

The modified F-15 flew by at speeds not even Artemis herself could match and began shooting bullets larger than the human hand. Each 20mm cannon round tore through Talos' armor like butter and was soon as useful as Zeus in a welcoming committee.

Talos fell onto his knees, on the verge of collapsing.

Percy spun his F-15 Eagle around for one- final assault. The fighter jet spun and obliterated the sound barrier, achieving mach one. Percy primed his missiles and had his hand ready to shoot one last barrage of bullets.

The F-15 flew towards Talos and launched one last attack. Four Sparrow missiles were blasted off at mach 2.5 with hundreds of bullets close behind.

Before Percy could veer off course, he felt three voices enter his mind. "You cannot change fate. The daughter of Hades was destined to die today." The last thing Percy saw was a bolt of lightning strike his jet and soon fell into the warming embrace of darkness.

Line Break

"The storm clouds have disappeared, and the sun is out! We can find him!", Thalia said desperately as she dug through the debris that was once Talos and Percy's F-15.

For reasons she did not know, Zoe was also crying. "Stop, it was meant to be. One shall be lost in the land without rain."

Thalia collapsed onto her knees and began weeping. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have tried to strike Talos with that last lightning bolt. I just had to be selfish and want to be the one to destroy Talos."

"No its not. Its my fault. Apollyon warned us not to pick anything up, but I disregarded his warning and thanks to me he's dead.", Bianca said as tears slowly crept down her cheek.

Zoe suddenly felt angry at Bianca. She wanted to grab her bow and shoot her full of arrows before cutting off her limbs one by one. Before she could do anything drastic, she stopped herself. 'What is going on with me? Why do I care so much about Apollyon? He is just a boy? Why am I feeling this way?'

"What? What did you pick up?", Annabeth asked.

Bianca's face flushed, like she was embarrassed to say. She slowly held out her hand, revealing a small metal figurine.

Everyone stared at her in a mix of shock and anger.

"Y-you disregarded his warning of a painful death all for a toy doll?", Thalia asked.

"It's not a toy doll!", Bianca bursted out, before covering her mouth and muttered. "It's a figurine. Its for Nico. This one was the only one that he didn't have."

"Enough. It saddens me to say this, but one of us was destined to die here. Apollyon took this quest knowing that he could die. Fighting each other will get us nowhere.", Zoe ordered.

Thalia and Bianca ignored Zoe and continued to look through the remains of Talos and the F-15 Eagle.

"We need to go now."

Bianca and Thalia whirled their heads over to Zoe. They looked at her in shock, as if they couldn't believe she had said such a thing.

"What?! We can't just leave his body here. We need to give him the final rites. He deserves it."

Zoe glared at the two cousins. "Would you like to look through over 100 tons of metal? And what would Apollyon say? Would he rather have us cry about his death or continue the quest? Abandoning the quest now would be wasting his sacrifice.", Zoe said with finality in her voice.

She looked around at the group. "We need to get going. We only have two days left until the summer solstice."

A moment later, Thalia pointed to the left of the exit. "There is a pickup truck over there. If it has gas, I can hotwire it."

Zoe nodded in acceptance and the girls walked over to the white pickup truck. It was an old 1970 Chevrolet. It looked older than the taco stand at Gila Claw. The white paint was peeling off the edges, rust replacing the white. Luckily, the bed of the truck was clean.

Line Break

"Oh my gods. IT'S THE HOOVER DAM!", Annabeth squealed as she looked over the railing.

The girls involuntarily winced at the volume. But they couldn't help but be amazed at the dam in front of them.

"It's over 600 feet tall, and it was built in the 1930's. It holds over 5 million cubic acres of water and its the largest construction project in the United States! And not only that, it's one of the greatest architectural achievements in the world!", Annabeth babbled.

Thalia rolled her eyes at her overly excited friend while Zoe and Bianca looked at her like she was crazy.

Annabeth snapped her head over to Zoe so quickly, Thalia couldn't help but wonder how she didn't break her neck.

"Can we go sightseeing? Please? I may never get the chance again and we are already here!", Annabeth begged.

Zoe looked around a bit before sighing. "Fine. It seems the path cuts straight through the dam, so I supposed we could take a break here."

Annabeth squealed in excitement and began running towards the nearest elevator that could take her down.

"I hope not all children of Athena are like this.", Bianca said.

"Oh trust me, her siblings are just as bad, if not worse.", Thalia said.

Bianca paled at the possibility of going on a field trip to Hoover Dam with a group of children of Athena.

Bianca quickly snapped out of her musing and chased after the rest of the group.

"We should go the snack bar in the visitor center. We can plan out what to do next over there.", Thalia said.

The girls nodded in acceptance and followed Thalia as she walked towards the snack bar. As the girls walked, they couldn't help but notice a large group of tourists standing around two metal statues.

"A-are they rubbing the toes of the statues?". Bianca asked, bewildered.

Thalia didn't even spare it a second glance, although everyone knew she was a little nervous. Everyone was shaken with their experience with bronze toes.

"Yeah. The mortals think its good luck for some reason. The statues are sacred to Zeus. A gift from Athena when the dam was first built."

Annabeth and Bianca continued to stare at the metal angels in fascination making Zoe stop.

"We must continue. Let us go find the dam snack bar, we should eat while we can."

Annabeth, Bianca, and Thalia glanced over at Zoe, each of them with a grin on their face.

"Yeah, I could use some dam hamburgers.", Bianca said before cracking up.

"Get me a dam drink while you're at it.", Annabeth continued.

"And I'll be in the DamBathroom(AN: Couldn't resist, I've been waiting for so long to say that xD.) while you get food.", Thalia finished.

Zoe scowled at the three but let out a small smile. Everyone could use a laugh to lighten up the mood after everything that has happened.

Before anyone could make another dam joke, a distinct click-clack made everyone freeze.

The girls slowly turned around to see a Spartus pointing its bony finger at the group, with three other skeletons running close behind.

"Dam skeletons.", Thalia cursed.

Chapter 13 is a wrap! Sorry this one took an extra day or two, I had a really crappy week. I had at least 10 quizzes/tests in the last five days and I was busy studying for them :(. Anyway, enough of my excuses. I know a lot of you are probably wondering, is Percy actually dead? The answer? Yes. Just kidding. I'm going to be honest with y'all, it's quite obvious that he is not dead with the plot armor that he has but still. I could just pull something and he could be dead. You never know. Next chapter will decide the winner of the pairing! Hope y'all enjoyed chapter 13 and I'll see y'all next week!(Probably). Don't forget to review, follow, favorite, and share btw.
