however, lucky? for me I blacked out after a minute after getting thrown into one of the many huge random rocks that were just stuck in the middle of the river, goddamn whoever decided to stick them there, its extremely inconvenient.

I could feel the cold seeping into my skin as I floated with the current, my brain fuzzy from the cold and the throbbing egg right on the top on my noggin.

I opened my eyes and my blood turned to ice.

This was exactly like that dream I had so many months before.

I stood up my dress clinging to my form as the cool winter air raised goose bumps on my skin.

My heart was throbbing in my chest and adrenaline made my vision blurry and sharp at the same time.

So I did what any sane terrified person would do in my situation.

I ran.

I flew through the dense woods tripping over roots and tearing my dress on bushels of thorns it felt like I was chasing the moon which I realized with a chill, was tinged red.

I paused in a meadow to breathe just for a second to assist my flailing lungs.

That was a huge mistake.

A flurry of movement to my right made my heart race and eyes dart.

When suddenly I felt a cold iron grip around my throat.

And I saw an entire group trek from the forest. The blonde in scrubs, a honey blonde guy I had never seen before, an unknown muscle man, a blonde girl who looked like someone was holding a shit under her nose, a small black haired girl, and Bella.

So Edward (aka gas station guy) must be the one with the death grip around my neck.

How nice of him.

They seemed to be talking ridiculously fast and low, their lips moving rapidly but I couldn't hear anything except for a faint buzz.

My heartbeat pounded in my ears getting louder the more terrified I got I could remember my dream with frightening clarity.

But things had changed right?

Because I wasn't there anymore?

"Carlisle, can we just get this over with already!"

An annoyed snarky voice bit through the cold as Bella turned an odd unidentifiable look on her face, as she glanced at me.

Carlisle the blonde in scrubs eyed me an uncomfortable look on his face.

"Do we really have to do this?"

"Carlisle with what she is..."

"I know, I know bu-"

"There are no buts, this is what we have to do to protect ourselves." Bella snapped cutting him off.

Then they went still, faces frozen in shock as I prayed to God it was Jacob and the pack.

Oh how wrong I was.

"KAYLA! KAYLAAAAA!" Kim and Emily dressed in sweats and hoodies were making their way through the trees.

I felt them leave in a brief whoosh of cold air as Edward's hands released my head I let out a deep breath of relief.

Even as this tight knot of foreboding wound itself around my heart I was still over the moon to see someone I knew.

"Hey Kim! Emily!" I shouted waving her down.

"I got a call from Jared saying that there were leeches in our territory and to find you." Kim fought her way out of the bush, brushing twigs and leaves off of her clothes.

"Your lucky that I made a wrong turn and saw your car. By the way what happened with that it was all up the bush and HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU!" Emily huffed eyes nearly doubling in size.

I looked down at the soaked dress clinging to my frame and grinned sheepishly at her through chattering teeth, trying to wipe the running mascara from under my eyes.

"I didn't know the leeches were out there until a few min-" I was cut off by Emily enveloping me in a warm hug with Kim immediately joining in making this a group hug. It had been so long since I had a nice genuine one, I had almost forgotten how great they felt.

"OMG Jacob was freaking out when he found out you had left Prom, he had us all out looking for you, I still can't believe you made out with him" Kim jabbered excitedly.

I felt my heart drop to my stomach and before I could even open my mouth a blurry brunette force threw me back.

"YOU WHORING BITCH" Bella shrieked somewhere in between the screeching and screaming.

As I picked myself up from the ground world spinning, I caught sight of Edward and Carlisle holding her back, the small pixie jabbering quickly to her trying to calm her.

I stood shakily nearing falling over as I looked desperately for Kim and Emily.

Just as I heard a heartbroken howl shatteringly close, the Cullen's seemed to evaporate.

I felt a cold hand grasp the back of my neck and Bella whisper in my ear.

"This is just a warning!"

And disappeared.

Just as I caught sight of them laying in the bushes

and it broke my heart.
