A/n: Hello guys, it's been like 2 years since I've written anything new for this story so I came up with something new and I hope you enjoy it while also telling me if I should: 1. make this chapter the start of a new story (sequel to this one) or 2. make the next chapter the start of the sequel? You could reply in messages and / or reviews! Thanks! :3

A week had passed since their last encounter. Since Jimmy Hopkins fought Gary Smith in the middle of the road in New Coventry. Since they both went back to campus only to part in an undesirable manner. At least undesirable manner for Jimmy. It wasn't like Jimmy actually cared for the bastard, no, that was not it. At least that's what he told himself at night when he couldn't sleep and couldn't bring himself to pay the bastard a visit in Happy Volts.

He's been spending all this time huddled up inside his room most of the time if he wasn't in class. He just wanted to be left alone and so he was. Shutting everyone out only made them worry more but when push comes to shove, people started to understand. He had been spending all this time all pent up and trying to act as normal as he could. The day when he walked inside the boy's dormitory all bruised up had raised questions all around the campus. Petey at first left him alone and tried to stay on his good side but after isolating himself as best as he could, he broke down his wall.

The head boy knew there was something going on underneath it all but no matter what happened he couldn't pry it out of the king of the school. Zoe had been worried, too, she came over and invited him on dates numerous times and he had gone on them, however unwillingly. Jimmy was no fool; he knew he couldn't keep this up for long, not just for his deteriorating relationships with others but for his deteriorating sanity. The longer he spent away from people, the more questions he asked himself, questions that have still remained unanswered.

It had been a week trying to avoid the sociopath locked up in the mental asylum. He had managed to keep to himself while avoiding others and still going on dates with Zoe. But it wasn't the same. It just wasn't the same as before as he still hasn't come up with a solution nor with an answer and the more time he spent with his supposed to be girlfriend, the more irritated he got. He started noticing things about her that annoyed him, things he hadn't noticed up until now.

Jimmy knew it deep inside. He knew it had been all that sociopath's fault but he also had himself to blame. He was lying on his bed, his classes for the day having had ended a few hours ago or that's what it had seemed to him then and there. He didn't bother looking at a clock to make sure. As soon as the class was over, he bid goodbye to Zoe who seemed to have been waiting for him to get out. He paid no heed to that and just maintained his composure. He uttered an apology with a halfhearted explanation and rushed back to his dorm.

What was it again? He wasn't feeling too well? God knows he wasn't. God knows he hasn't been. Maybe all those thoughts from before had just caught up to him these days and as much as he tried shutting them off, he just couldn't. He slammed his fist against the bed.

He didn't understand anything that was happening. He didn't understand Gary's intentions or motivations. He knew he should have given up from the start, he knew he should have given up on trying to understand. Gary was Gary and he would forever stay what he was: an enigma.

Jimmy Hopkins knew he was stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of wanting to punch the guy's guts out and being, at the same time, intrigued by his words, his plans, the way he made it all seem surprisingly easy and the way he knew almost any and every reaction he could get out of him. Not only that, but with all that has happened, he kept thinking... that he hadn't felt so alive ever since that dreadful night when he caught Gary on top of the skylight, when he caught him and brought him to justice for all that he has done to the school, for weaving everyone into his master plan, his spider web.

Jimmy was laying there on his bed, just staring at the ceiling as his thoughts pierced through his mind and through his heart. He went through so many feelings in so little time, anger filling him up, guilt tripping him down the stairs of life – or maybe it was a lie? Everything that he had ever built up since Gary had been shipped off to Happy Volts, was it all a lie? – That's when his fury would flare up and he would slightly rise from his bed only to fall back down on his pillow.

It's been like this ever since their fight. Ever since those few days he had spent together with the sociopath. It felt like before, when they were actually friends, when he would follow Gary around like a lost puppy and get in trouble. Why everything from back then seemed exciting and why everything even now was, he had no idea. It was just the way the bastard kept making him feel.

Mindfuck.

That's the best word to describe what Gary had done to him. With just a few words, some bruises, a big scar on his torso and a few bite-marks – well, let's not forget the perfectly good blowjob and the thrilling, exhilarating dreams he had been having for quite some nights now – Gary fucking Smith had turned his whole world, everything that he had ever known and got to up until that moment, upside down. Just like that moment in the Hole, just like that moment when Gary pit Russell up against him.

Or rather, the best moment would be to say, when Gary himself jumped back down into the pit to help him defeat the giant bully; maybe even the next day when he woke to Gary watching him sleep? What exactly did he know about Gary Smith?

"Well, he's a bastard for one," he uttered to himself as he propped himself up on his elbows to look outside the window. The light outside seemed to darken to announce the sun setting on the horizon. The bright orange melted down with the cerulean sky making the best contrast between cold and warm colors. He thought he saw a head or two pass by his window. There were still students outside the dorm probably enjoying their normal lives having no idea what was going on inside the king's head right now.

Nor would they ever know.

He tried to focus on just staring at the melting, clashing colors rather than his irritating thoughts. He just wanted it all to go away. He had had enough of this thinking. With that, he pushed himself off his bed and turned to his door only to have it open in his face, none other than Gary fucking Smith standing before him.

"Why, James, I thought you would at least come and greet me now that I'll be back into your life", the grin he was wearing was just deeming the situation as all too real. No, it couldn't be. He should still be in Happy Volts, no? What did Petey say when they went to visit him? God damn it, he knew it, it was right there.

The king stepped away from the sociopath blocking the doorway and the one that oh so rudely marched right into his room without any further explanations or apologies. No, he knew the answer to that. He had to know. He tried to recall that time, that day when Petey asked Jimmy to join him in visiting the oh-so-condescending bastard.

He closed his eyes for a few moments, recalling that day. He had woken up with a start from a rather nice perverted dream, a wet dream, only to see his buddy sitting on a chair inside his room. He remembered his embarrassment from that moment, having had his buddy witness him in a rather compromising point.

What did the femme-boy want? Ah, he knew that, he asked him to join him that day to visit the sociopath that was laying in Happy Volts, being sent away after his master plan of taking over the school having failed miserably. Or was it miserably?

He recalled that fact.

The way Gary had been shaking every now and again as if from laughter. Even though he had been bound up tight and he had just fallen through the skylight with none other than Jimmy Hopkins on top of him, he was still grinning ear to ear. Yes, he remembered that.

He remembered how he thought it all had been a grand scheme conceived by none other than Gary fucking Smith. That preposterous idea being the one that pushed the boy further into a web of lies – at least, seemingly lies – and manipulation. The idea that had made the boy go out into a mental asylum to visit the one person who had caused his expulsion from school.

Yes, he remembered.

And there he was, the cause of all his problems, standing in front of him in a place he'd never dreamt to see him ever again: his room, the boy's dorm, Bullworth academy campus. The prince was there, smirking and taking a step further into the room before finally plopped down onto his bed.

"What is it, Jimmy-boy? Cat got your tongue? Or are you so surprised and shocked at seeing me here in person - seeing the person of your desires - that you lost any ability to speak? Is that it? Can't you speak Jimmy-boy?" his words as teasing as ever brought up an all-known emotion for Jimmy: anger. But it was accompanied by another one, one he knew from all the times he spent with the psychopath: thrill. Some sort of bell rung inside his body every time the guy was near, a bell that pushed this sort of joy – a joy that appeared and bubbled up on the surface of his emotions.

Oh, he now knew. He remembered.

It was all wrong. It wasn't then when Petey had asked him to join him to visit Gary; it was on the day that he had to cancel a date out with Zoe. Ah, he knew now. It wasn't Petey that told him, it was Gary himself. What was it again? Ah, yes...

"I'd be back in that bloody school in a few weeks", he recalled how nonchalant the guy seemed while saying that.

"How?" was his own question to his surprising news.

"For God's sake, next time you use only one or two words to form a question or a sentence, I will be obligated to do something horrible to you. And for your information, my parents ... That probably sums everything up, and before you go: How, what, why, when? I'm going to tell you: they came with a solution to everything: money. Bribed the director into taking me back since they were too busy to deal with me on their own", he remembered now. It all made sense. It explained everything.

It explained why the fucker was now laying on his bed wearing a really amused expression on his face. "What were you thinking about, Jimmy-boy?" that question broke his train of thought. "What is it like in that petty little mind of yours? Must be awfully boring knowing you can barely say anything besides one word answers: Wah, huh, duuuh-duhh, how, why?" he chuckled a bit as he knew what was coming, and indeed, he was right in knowing so.

"Fuck you, Gary!" the anger that rose up inside his gut just shushed any other thoughts he might have had. "Well, I don't know about you but I'm sure not going to be the bottom so rather than you doing all the work, how about I fuck you?" that odd proposal, that oddly obscene proposal brought up another well-known feeling in Jimmy and that was lust. He couldn't hide the fact that he was indeed thinking about it now just as the other boy said it.

However there was something else bothering him. The king approached the door and shut it, trying to prevent anyone else from hearing or seeing anything that was going to happen. While doing so, he came to a final conclusion. "Wait, didn't he say it would be weeks before he would transfer back into Bullworth?" his thoughts came back. It couldn't be. He knew for sure that it had only been a week since their fight in New Coventry.

Was he wrong?

"Hey, bastard, shouldn't you be off to Happy Volts now? Didn't you say it would be a while more before you set foot on campus again?" was his smartass reply.

"Wow, smite me God almighty, you can talk! And not only that but it's more than just: wah, huh, duh, how, why, when! My god, Jimmy, have you been actually taking classes? Let me just test you right now, how much is two plus two?"

"Piss off, Gary, I want an answer"

"Well, I want a pony but you don't see me tending to one right now, do you?" that earned him a growl from the well-built young man standing right next to the door. But all Gary did upon hearing it was smirk. He knew exactly what he was doing to the caged beast that was lying inside the boy next to him. He had every right to anger him because, according to him: "He's mine".

Giving in however much he wanted to keep angering the young man, was a decision he made due to him realizing that sooner or later, he would have to explain himself. So the prince raised his hands and set them under his head as he propped one leg over the other, enjoying, for once, a comfy bed that wasn't like the one in Happy Volts - the one he had had to lie in every night for quite some time. "They moved the date", was his only reply.

"The date?"

"Well nice to see you again doofus James, my name is Gary, pleased to meet you!"

"Gary", he growled the name out in fury. He wasn't one to be messed with right now. Not when after a full week of thinking all he wanted to do right now was beat the shit out of the other. And so, Gary gave in, due to his own reasons and most likely boredom:

"The principal decided to set the date this week so that I wouldn't miss out on too much school; well that was if I could pass my mental- capacity exams. Basically, before you ask, I had to let everyone know I was sane enough not to burn the school down, sane enough to let me back into school" he looked at the shorter boy, knowing fully well that he was still trying to process everything he had just heard. "So you see, this, my friend, is why I'm here right now", and then it all clicked inside Jimmy's head and if he had looked confused before, he was just plain annoyed now, annoyed, irritated yet somehow all-too-thrilled about the new circumstances he found himself in.
