Little did I know that I muttered the last part out loud and a certain jerk heard it. He smiled slightly at me and whispered back at me, but I was too far gone to hear it. I think it went something like "...I love you too idiot..." but I doubt it.

"The next few days flew by, I'm still embarrassed by my confession towards Naru... I can't look at him in the eye without my face turning into a tomato. But I should be used to that part right? The main part that worries me the most though is that he didn't say anything back... Doesn't matter I suppose, I mean he rejected me once, Whose to say he wouldn't do it again?

Naru discharged himself from the hospital yesterday, which I argued strongly against mind you, because I don't think he is strong enough to go back. But as usual Naru was being a stubborn idiot. Me on the other hand, have to stay in the hospital for another couple of days until my leg gets better enough to walk on..or at least crutch on. Man I hate hospitals. But Gene is here to keep me company while the others are at the house."

I closed the diary and tucked it under my pillow just as Gene bounded through the door with a couple of flowers in his hand, I could see the soil falling onto the floor with every step he took. I grinned over at him and picked him up from my place on the bed and sat him down next to me.

"Heya Gene, How are you feeling today?" I smiled and ruffled his hair, looking up at the door and finding Yasu standing there with a box. "Hey Yasu, you can come in you know."

He laughed and obeyed, sitting in the free chair next to my bed. I smiled at him and then turned my attention to the little boy sitting next to me. Gene looked up from the flowers and gave me a toothy grin. "Mummy! I picked these for you! Uncle Yasu said I was allowed to bring you some flowers!" Gene giggled and thrusted the flowers into my hand, dirt falling onto the blanket covering my legs.

"Oh, Uncle Yasu did? Well that's very sweet of you two, I love them" I smiled down at Gene and took the flowers from his clenched hand and placed them onto the table. I handed the little boy my iPod and picked a movie for him. In the meantime, I raised an eyebrow at Yasu. "Since when did you become his Uncle?"

Yasu just laughed loudly and shrugged "Since you became his Mummy."

I threw my pillow at him and giggled. "Shut up Yasu!" I grinned at him and motioned to the box in his lap. "Whatcha got there?"

"Clothes."

"I figured that, but whose clothes?"

"Yours."

I raised and eyebrow at him in confusion. "Why do you have my clothes?"

I saw a glint of evil in his eyes, or maybe it was just the light coming off his glasses. "Because tomorrow you're getting let out and I decided to stop by the house and pick up some clothes for you."

I smiled. "Aww, that's so sweet. But you better have picked matching ones this time, I don't want to look like a weirdo like last time."

Yasu shook his head. "You wont. I got Ayako to check it over for me."

We talked for a few more hours before visiting hours finished. I pouted as Yasu and Gene had to leave and waved them goodbye. I sighed and picked up the flowers Gene gave me and put them into the cup next to my bed. When I was sure they had left and the nurse had checked on my leg, I pulled out a really small TV that Madoka had given me from my bag and turned it on.

I watched as Naru came into base, there was no sound in which I sighed in disappointment for. "What's the use of having it if you can't hear a word they're saying?" I muttered to no one. Out of nowhere, static started to fill the scene before the face of Yumato popped up.

She leered at me, her face no longer pretty as it once was. In its place lay a deformed demonic mask. I held back a scream. 'Stay calm Mai! Don't show her fear!" I thought over and over in my head. Yumato glared at me before opening her mouth, I watched as maggots fell out of that black hole and grimaced in disgust.

"You don't know what you're dealing with, girl. You can't save him. He and the boy will be mine" Her evil laughter rang once again in my head before she disappeared and the screen turned black. I panicked and started fumbling around on my bed, getting tangled up in the blankets before I landed with a thump on the chair next to my bed. My leg burned slightly but I ignored it, Gene and Naru were the only thing on my mind. I stood up on one leg and chucked on the clothes Yasu left me as silently as possible before getting into my wheelchair and rolling sneakily towards the exit of the hospital.

"The house isn't that far away, is it?" I pushed myself out the doors, surprised I didn't get caught leaving. I rolled over to the phone booth and called Madoka, knowing she would come. It rang a few times before her voice filled the speaker. "Hey Madoka, It's Mai. Can you - Yes, I'm fine. Anyway can you please - No, they don't know. Yes ill go back soon but just listen! Can you please just come get me? I need to tell everyone something really important!"

There was a slight pause on the phone which I used to catch my breath. I heard her ask where I was and I looked around my surroundings. "I'm just on the corner of Jinkoni's Tea Parlour, Yeah the one where I get Naru's tea sometimes. Thanks Madoka, I owe you one." I hung up the phone and looked around before deciding to stay inside Jinkonis. All was going fine until I saw a shadow fall across me and hands land on my shoulders. I could feel a scream forming in my throat...
