Author's Note- Hey everybody! Did you all like the previous chapter? Wasn't it like super cute!? xD
Well, in this chapter a few things are said and done. Romano and Italy have a few minutes of bonding time, which I find sweet.
I do not own anything, except a few OCs.
Enjoy~
Chapter 14-
I am never going to another dance, ever!
I mean, I had no problem being there. It's just what happens afterwards that pisses me off.
When Antonio and I reach the parking lot, I suddenly remember what I am holding. I make a quiet gagging sound and yank my hand away.
Antonio glances down where our hands used to be, then back up at me.
He is wearing a smile on his face, a passionate smile.
Throughout the whole ride home, I keep my eyes on my lap. Antonio has not talked to me, he hasn't even made small comments. The music from the radio is the only talking I hear.
And when I finally do look at Antonio, the first thing I see is his smile.
He still has on that passionate smile.
It gives me chills.
And when we arrive at my house, I cannot help, but run out of the car without even saying a 'good-night." It doesn't really matter though. Antonio shook my hand before I fled the vehicle. And trust me, that hand shake was a minute too long.
But still, I enjoyed tonight. Just don't tell anyone.

"Home already?"
Oh no...
"I thought you'd come home late. I mean, aren't you the life of the party?"
I kick my shoes off. Ah, that feels good. "What are you talking about Romeo?" Play it cool Lovino.
"You know very well fratello."
He's messing with you, stay quiet.
"You danced with Antonio!"
"How the hell do you know!?"
So much for playing it cool Lovino.
"Romeo pulls out his cellphone from his pocket and began to scrolling through it, "Feli sent me pictures." He brings the screen up to my face and there they were. Photos of me and Antonio, each picture with a different pose. The last one, my leg curled around onto Antonio's body, our faces full of joy.
"Feliciano is so dead!"
Romeo throws his phone aside on the couch. "Actually, you're dead."
"How come?"
"I heard Nonno saw you."
My mind snaps into two, "Oh fuck!" I pick up my shoes and head towards the staircase. "If Nonno asks, I'm asleep. Got it?"
"Si signore!"

I step into my room and begin to undress myself. No way am I talking to Nonno after what happened tonight.
As I finally lay down on my bed, my cellphone makes a noise, indicating I received a message.
"That better not be Antonio." I pick up the cellphone from my nightstand and read the message.
Matthew.

-Next Morning-
Sunday mornings are meant for church.
My brothers and I grew up going to church on Sundays, attending mass. Italians are known for having strong faith in their religion. Yeah sure, I guess it is true, my family and I take the Catholic religion very serious. But ever since we moved here, my brothers and I have gone to church less and less. Nonno is a Catholic man yes, but he makes excuses to skip church. So after a while, we all stopped going to mass.
I guess I shouldn't complain, I get to sleep in on Sundays now.
I release a loud yawn and that catches everyone's attention.
"Ah, morning Lovino!" Feliciano sings with his high-pitched voice.
"Hi fratello!"
My eyes become watery due to the yawn. "Yeah, morning you two."
"Coffee Lovino?" Nonno holds the handle of a mug in his hand.
I can see the steam drifting away from the mug and inhale the smell of coffee. "I'll take a cup." Nonno places the mug in my hands and it feels absolutely warm.
"Hey Nonno, can I eat my breakfast in the living room?"
"Ve~ Me too, me too! Can I?"
Our grandfather smiles, "Go ahead boys. Just don't spill anything."
Feli and Romeo scurry away, each with a bowl of cereal in their hands.
And so, I am left alone in the kitchen with my grandfather.
Keep calm Lovino. Don't say anything and just drink your coffee.
Nonno takes a sip from his own mug. "So, you did go to the dance."
Here we go...
"I did not."
"Lovino, do not lie to me young man. You went to the dance last night, I saw you."
Damn, I can't get out of this one. "Okay, I did go alright!"
"Then why did you lie to me? Why didn't you let me take you?"
"Because... Because I went with a friend!" The liquid in my mug makes a ripple due to my shaky hands.
"Oh, I see." Nonno puts his mug down on the counter. "And is this friend the same boy you danced with?"
Jeez, what's he getting at?
"Yes, yes he was."
My grandfather simply nods his head. "And why did you dance? I never saw this coming from you Lovino."
My bangs fall over my eyes and with my breath, I push them to the side. "Because the same friend made me. He wanted to dance with me, but I said no. So he thought I didn't know how. And then..." I take a deep breath and pout a little. "And then he said that Italians are the second best in dancing after the Spanish!" One of my hands curl into a ball, tightening with each word I spit out. "I had to prove him wrong and I did!"
"Well done."
My fingers uncurl from the ball, "Huh?"
"You stood up for the Italian name and you did not disappoint."
"Oh..." I certainly was not expecting this.
"Lovino, you are growing up to be a true Italian man."
Why isn't he angry or upset? I danced with a boy for Pete's sake! Wouldn't that bring shame to him or some shit?
He probably doesn't remember who I danced with. But I just reminded him about it a minute ago!
Fuck it, just stop thinking.
"You teach me and I'll teach you
Pokemon
Gotta catch 'em all!"
The t.v.'s volume is blasted up as the show's theme song plays. Feliciano and Romeo never miss an episode of their favorite show, 'Pokemon'.
Those nerds.
"Where did you learn to dance like that?"
Is this old fart still asking questions?
My coffee mug, now half-way empty, suddenly feels very cold in my hand. I answer, "From my mother..."
Nonno takes a quick glance at my face then looks away. "Ah yes, Ramona was a wonderful dancer."
Don't say her name.
"I still remember when I danced with her on your parent's wedding night. She was light as a feather and graceful like a swan."
Stop it dammit, stop!
"And your father," Nonno chuckles. "He was born with two left feet! You boys got your moves from your mama. Thank the lord for that!"
Without saying a word, I storm out of the kitchen.
Sundays are also meant for sleeping in. Why did I decide to wake up early today!? Terrible decision Lovino. Well, it's never too late. I'll wake up in a hour or two. Or maybe tomorrow.
-Don't Disturb Lovino-

"...ake up."
This blanket is really warm.
"...eed your help."
I just want to lie here all day.
"Fratello!"
One eye open, blurriness.
Second eye open, a face.
Large, amber eyes.
"Ah, you're awake. Bueno!"
My brother.
"What..." I yawn into my pillow. "Do you want?"
"I need to talk to you, Lovino."
Another yawn. "You couldn't have waited until I woke up?"
Feliciano steps back and straightens up. "Oh, sorry Lovino. I'll... Torno più tardi poi."
"No wait," I sit up in my bed and lean against the headboard. "I'm awake, so might as well tell me now."
My brother takes a seat on my bed, away from my feet. "Okay well, you know Ludwig right?"
"Potato Bastard? yeah, I know that weirdo." This early in the morning and I am already being reminded of that German.
"Lovino be nice."
"Yeah, but-"
"Fratello just listen!" He says, his voice growing.
I glare at Feli and sigh. "Fine..."
Why do the younger ones always get their way?
Feliciano smiles, "Well I really admire Ludwig. He is smart in every subject and he always answers the questions right. And whenever I need help in something Ludwig helps me. And, and even though he's bad at drawing, he still tries! And-"
"Feli, what's your point?" I ask, now bored.
"Oh um," He pauses for a moment. "He's my best friend."
Hold your tongue Lovino. "Okay, what's the problem?"
"Ludwig reminds me of... of him."
"Who?"
"Him!"
"Who the fuck is 'him'!?"
Feliciano fumbles with his hands. "My friend..."
I am about to yell at Feliciano because he has like a thousand friends and isn't being specific. Seriously, he can be talking about anyone and I have to guess my ass off.
He speaks up. "My friend... from Italy."
I open my mouth to shout, but stop when I see his face. He looks hurt, on the verge of tears. And that's when I realize who he is talking about.
"Do you mean... Are you talking about the neighbor?"
He nods, "Yes him." Those amber eyes of his stare off into nothing.
As I look at my brother, a weird tingly feeling washes over me. His face, his expression, looks exactly the same as it did ten years ago when his world fell apart.
"I miss him, a lot. But... But when I see Ludwig, I smile." His eyes come back to life, the sad expression gone. "Because he used to make me smile."
I stay silent.
I've forgotten how depressed my brother became without that boy. The boy that promised he'd return, but never did.
Now he's happy again because of Ludwig. My brother is happy with a boy I dislike, but there is nothing I can do to stop him. Good.
"That's nice Feli." Their friendship is going to be the end of me. "You stay friends with Ludwig."
His eyes light up.
"But remember, he hurts you and I'll chop his balls off."
"Fratellooooo~!"
AN- Soooooo, did you guys enjoy this chapter? It's short I know, but the cute ending makes up for it.
Did you guys figure out who the boy is? Hehehehehe, I'll add more of Feli's and his backstory later in the story.
Translation-
Si signore!- Yes, sir! (Italian)
Torno più tardi poi.- I'll be back later then. (Italian)
Well, I don't know what else to say so I'll be leaving now. If you have any questions or ideas please message me. Don't forget to review! I love you all and you all love me! xD
