Chapter Fourteen: Wedding from Hell, Part 3

"If there's anyone here who knows of a reason these two should not be joined, speak now or forever hold your peace," the Priest said to the wedding guests. The ceremony had started and the three Halliwells and Rose had just grabbed Allison and made their way to it.

"We have a reason!" Rose shouted.

"I love you, Elliot," Allison said loudly. She looked close to tears.

"Why, you little witch," Jade spat at Rose.

"Hey!" Prue snapped.

"By Asteria and Perses, open sky and do your worst!" Jade shouted at the sky. "You're coming with me," she said to Elliot. She rushed into the house with Elliot following.

"Stay with Allison," Prue told Rose. For once, Rose decided to do as she said because she knew she had to make sure Allison didn't see what was about to happen between the Charmed Ones and Hecate. They got to Elliot's bedroom and Jade transformed into Hecate. "Alright, quick - we have to banish her and her last bridesmaid," Prue told Piper and Phoebe. She looked in her bag. "The poingnard - it's gone,"

It was on the floor, and Elliot picked it up. "Elliot," Phoebe said, pointing at him. The poingnard started to glow.

"Do something, Prue," Piper said. Prue telekinetically moved the demons closer to the glowing poingnard and the demons got sucked into it.

"Whoever you are," Elliot murmured. "Thank you,"

Up in Elderland, the Elders and Leo were discussing Rose once more. "I think she is ready now," Derek, the head Whitelighter when it came to Rose and her future, said. "Rose has proved that she is more than capable of helping Aviva,"

"She won't be happy about it," Leo pointed out. "Rose wants to keep helping the Charmed Ones,"

"We gave her that opportunity not too long ago and she turned us down. If she refuses to pick an actual side, there is still a slither of a chance that she could go against us. And if we allow her to help with the Charmed Ones, then this is too risky. We cannot risk her getting close to them and finding out their weaknesses to sabotage their destiny," Derek replied.

"She will continue to get charges and help them in any way that she can. And you will continue to guide her," a different Elder agreed.

"And by guide, you mean…" Leo started. Derek looked at him impatiently and he sighed. "I just feel bad about keeping an eye on her whilst knowing this massive secret about her future which will make the choice between being fully good and half on the demonic side be easier. I just think you should let me tell her," he tried.

"No Leo. You know that she is not ready for a revelation like that, and neither are the other people involved in the secret," Derek scolded. "You will keep quiet about it until we tell you otherwise," he ordered.

"Okay," Leo agreed hesitantly. He just wished he could tell Rose. He knew she was ready, even if the Elders thought she wasn't.

"Good. You may go," Derek replied. He nodded and Leo orbed out, back down to Earth.

Back at the Spencer Estate, Allison and Elliot were happily together again. Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Rose were standing slightly away from them. "We did that," Prue smiled.

"And they'll live happily ever after," Phoebe added.

"I wonder if we will," Piper said.

"Of course, we will," Prue replied. "Why shouldn't we?"

"That's easy for you to say - you'll never greet your husband at the door with '"honey, I think I froze the kids," Piper said. Rose laughed.

"Even if you did do that Piper, there's a way to unfreeze everything," she said. "Plus, your kids will be witches and you can't freeze good witches," she added. Prue looked at her suspiciously. "What now?"

"Piper's never tried to freeze you before," Prue said.

"Why would she?" Rose asked.

"Maybe it will prove if you're good or not," she shrugged.

"While I'm all for proving that I'm good, I don't think this is the best time to do it. If a person concentrates enough, knows it is coming, and understands the power to freeze, they can override it and stay unfrozen," Rose explained. "Piper would have to catch me off guard if she really wanted to prove that I'm good,"

Prue made an uncertain noise and Phoebe smiled. "At least you won't accidentally move your kids to another zip code Piper," Prue said, going back to their original conversation.

"I can help you there. I will see them, find them and bring them back home safely," Phoebe smiled. "And Rose can teleport us to them – I wish I had that power. How did you get all the good powers? Teleporting, telepathy..."

"I have a lot more than that," Rose replied with a laugh. Phoebe looked as though she was going to ask her what they were but Prue changed the subject again.

"So, Rose - we gonna see you again?" she asked.

"I guess we'll see," Rose replied. "It depends if you let me into your house again,"

"I'll think about it," Prue said. Piper and Phoebe shared a look and smiled. That meant Rose was growing on their sister. Prue glanced back at Allison and Elliot. "At least we stopped a horrific red monster child from being born," she said.

"It wouldn't have looked like that all the time," Rose replied.

"It wouldn't?" Phoebe asked.

"No. Your premonition most likely just showed it like that so you would know that something evil was going to be born, rather than just an ordinary child. Besides, that child might not have even grown up to be evil," Rose replied.

"I somehow doubt that," Prue said.

"Any demon with a bit of human in them has the potential to be good. They just have to know where to find it," Rose told them. She only knew of one other half-demon besides herself - Belthazor - and she hoped that one day he proved her right by embracing his human side and turning good.

"Very philosophical," Piper smiled. Rose smiled back.

"We should get back to the Manor," Prue said. "And you," she said to Rose. "Should get back to Magic School and tell them all about how you kicked demon ass with the Charmed Ones today,"

Rose gave a slight smile and nodded. "I guess I should be getting back," she mumbled. "Thanks for letting me help you," she added.

"It was our pleasure," Phoebe replied. "Thanks for the potion. And the spell – you gotta teach me how to make up spells,"

"It's easy – just rhyme," Rose replied. "And Prue wants me to tell you guys how to make the vanquishing potion so she has to let me back in," she said with a cheeky smile aimed at Prue.

"Really?" Phoebe said in surprise. Prue pretended not to notice her sisters' shocked expressions. "Well, I see how it is," she joked.

"Hmm," Prue muttered. "Shouldn't you be getting back, Rose?" she said.

Rose laughed with Piper and Phoebe then teleported out when she made sure no one was looking in their direction. It had been a good day.

"Rose," Derek greeted. He had just orbed her up to Elderland to tell her about her charge.

"Alright Derek?" she asked. She was in a good mood because of everything that had happened today. She had told the Charmed Ones her real name and revealed some actual truths about her life and she had a feeling that Prue was beginning to trust her slightly more.

"How did you find out my name?" he asked her. He didn't mind, but he was curious.

"I sensed it," Rose replied. She thought he might get annoyed about that.

But instead, Derek smiled. "This is good news, Rose," He said.

"It is?"

"It means you are starting to become more in touch with your Whitelighter powers. Sensing is starting to become a more innate part of your mind. This means that quite soon, with a little more help from Leo, and practice by yourself, you could properly learn how to orb, rather than just doing it as a fear response," Derek explained.

"How did you know I used it as a fear response?" Rose asked.

"Leo told me about the vanquish from the other day. I must say, I am impressed. The fact that you orbed in fear rather than shimmering or teleporting means orbing has started to become part of your innate abilities," he replied. Rose nodded. "But that is not why I asked you up here today," he said.

"I guessed that," Rose replied.

"I heard about your helping with the Hecate vanquish," Derek started. "And Leo tells me that instead of rushing after the Charmed Ones and assisting in the actual banishing, you followed Prudence's orders and stayed with the mortal. This is good. It means your priorities are starting to change," he continued.

"Thanks," she said.

"Aviva is now ready for you to become her Whitelighter," Derek told her.

"She is?" Rose didn't know how to feel about that.

"Yes. So, from now on, this will be your sole responsibility. You will no longer be allowed to assist the Charmed Ones in any way, as per your request from the other day," Derek said. Rose's heart sank. Now she wanted to help them again.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Very sure," he replied. Rose nodded. It upset her. Because she realised that whilst she now couldn't be the greatest good she wanted to be by helping Prue, Piper and Phoebe, she also wanted to stop going to the Underworld and communicating with the Source. She didn't think she could do it anymore. It was hard for her to keep the lie up and she knew sooner or later, The Source would realise. It would be better for her if she let him realise by breaking the connection she shared with him rather than waiting for him to work it out himself. If he worked it out, he would kill her immediately with her having no chance to protect herself. By breaking the connection, he might not realise for a while (because he shared a connection with every one of his demons and wouldn't notice if he lost one connection) and she would be okay.

"Can I go now?" Rose asked. She wanted to work on how to destroy the connection.

"Of course," Derek replied. "And Rose - don't shimmer out. I find it disrespectful. If you can't orb yet, I'd rather you teleport," so that's what she did.

Prue, Piper and Phoebe were back at the Manor and having a dinner made from the leftovers from the ruined wedding that Piper's chefs had made. "At least it isn't all going to waste," Phoebe said as she helped herself to another serving of spaghetti carbonara.

"Yeah and at least we managed to save the world from a demonic monster," Prue agreed.

"That could have turned out to be good," Piper pointed out as she slapped Phoebe's creeping hand away from the pile of roast potatoes on her plate.

"Do you really think that's true?" Phoebe asked.

"Why not?" Prue shrugged. "She seemed to be very passionate about the subject,"

"Maybe she has a friend who is part demon," Phoebe said. Piper and Prue pondered this suggestion. "Or maybe she's a demon herself and now she's onto part two of her plan to get her to trust us,"

"Part two?" Prue asked. "What was part 1?"

"That was: act suspicious until Prue worms out a tiny fact about her and makes us trust her slightly more," Phoebe replied. "Now she just has to get us to believe that demons have the capacity to be good and then she can reveal that she's actually a demon," Piper looked slightly convinced. "And then she kills us,"

"Oh. Great," Piper replied.

"No… I don't think she's got an ounce of demon in her," Prue said; surprising both her sisters. "She's too good. You should have heard her talk about her parents. Plus, there was that time she appeared in my dream," she trailed off.

"What?" Piper asked.

"What time?" Phoebe insisted. "Did you have a premonition? That's my power! No fair,"

Prue laughed. "No, I didn't have a premonition," she assured her. "You know that time that that guy was invading women's dreams and killing them in their sleep?" she asked. Piper and Phoebe nodded. "Well, when I was in that car wreck and got sucked into that final dream state, I was frozen and had no idea what to do. Rose appeared and shouted at me: your powers, Prue! Use your powers! It was weird. And it worked,"

"Well, she couldn't have gotten into your actual dream, right?" Piper asked.

"Yeah, your mind just made it be Rose who told you to use your powers because you're too proud to listen to me or Piper," Phoebe agreed.

Prue shrugged. "I guess we'll never know. She seemed wary to say that she would see us again," she said.

"Well, we know that won't last very long. You made her promise that after we saved Mark from Yama - she's too stubborn for her own good," Piper said.

"Reminds me of someone," Phoebe added quietly, glancing at Prue. Prue rolled her eyes. "I'm just saying - there's gotta be a reason you didn't like her at first and I don't think it was because you didn't trust her. You were probably worried she would out-stubborn you," she joked.

"Cute," Prue said sarcastically.
