Author's Note: Hey guys, I think it has been noted that I suck at updates. Anyway, this is the episode "Power Transfer" I decided to converge both parts into one chapter otherwise it would've been a really short chapter.

Title: Raising the Stakes
Summary: After Lord Zedd arrives on the moon to complete the task that Rita has failed to do, the Rangers must take on new Thunderzords in order to battle him. Unfortunately with three Rangers leaving, a new power source is needed in order to keep the team from collapsing.
"Nuala, Nuala, wake up!"
Nuala grumbled and pulled the blanket over her head as Ciaran burst into her room that morning. She hadn't slept well the night before and was in dire need of some serious catching up.
"Nuala, wake up, you gotta see this!" Ciaran said jumping onto his sister's bed. He stood up and proceeded to jump up and down.
"Ciaran, stop," Nuala whined, tugging at the blanket and trying to dislodge him.
Ciaran rolled his eyes and landed on his knees. He crawled the length of the bed and pulled the covers aside, exposing his sister to the room.
Nuala grumbled and tried to roll away.
"They released the names for the World Peace thing," Ciaran said, brandishing a newspaper in his hand.
"World Peace Summit," Nuala said.
"Yeah," said Ciaran. "You'll never believe who it is."
"Unless it's Jason, Trini and Zack, I don't care," Nuala said.
Ciaran rolled his eyes and unfurled the paper. "Fine. If you won't wake up to read it, just listen," he said. "Out of thousands of entries, three local students were chosen today to attend the World Peace Summit in Switzerland. Hunger, pollution, poverty, cultural barriers and education are among the topics on their very busy agenda."
"I know what the summit covers, Ci," Nuala said. "Get to the point."
"You do realise it is almost 1 in the afternoon, right?" Ciaran huffed.
"Don't care," Nuala replied, rolling away. She pulled the blanket back over her head and closed her eyes. Her mother had already been in that morning and taken Ellis out for the day so that Nuala could catch up on her sleep. Plus, Lana got to spend some quality time with her grandson.
Ciaran rolled his eyes. "The three students from Angel Grove are Jason Lee Scott, Zack Taylor and Trini Quan."
Nuala pushed back her blankets and sat up. "They got in?" she asked.
"Yeah," Ciaran replied. "But, I don't understand how they can take it. I mean, what about being Rangers? Can you quit being a ranger?"
"I don't know," Nuala said. "I guess it's up to Zordon."
Nuala's communicator chimed making her groan. Zordon calling could only mean one thing. There was another monster attack.
Ciaran chuckled. "Your life sucks," he teased.
Nuala narrowed her eyes at her brother before pushing him off of the bed.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
The rest of the team was already at the command centre when Nuala and Ciaran arrived. The first thing they noticed was Nuala's tired appearance and couldn't help but question her on it.
"Did we wake you?"
"It's the afternoon why were you still in bed?"
Ciaran laughed, earning him another slap to the head. "Would you stop hitting me?" he asked, hiding behind Zack.
Nuala rolled her eyes and looked to her friends. "No, you didn't wake me, Ciaran did," she said, "and I didn't get much sleep last night."
"How come?" Kim asked.
"She and Adam were up way past bedtime playing catch up," Ciaran said.
"I'm going to kill him," Nuala said, running a hand through her hair.
Ciaran snickered. "But you just got him back," he said. "Why would you want to kill him?"
"Not Adam, you!" Nuala said.
"I love you too."
Tommy smiled at the banter and wound his arm around Nuala's shoulder. The silver ranger smiled contently and rested her head against his shoulder.
"So, where's the monster?" Ciaran asked.
"Monster?" Billy asked.
"Yeah, you guys don't normally use the communicators unless it's an emergency," Ciaran said.
Billy shook his head. "No monster this time," he said. "We just needed Nuala here for the celebrations."
"Oh yeah, congratulations, you guys," Nuala said, beaming at Jason, Trini and Zack.
"Thanks," Jason said.
Ciaran raised his hand. "I do have a question about this World Peace thing," he said.
"Summit," Nuala said.
"Yeah, that," Ciaran nodded. "How are you going to manage it with your ranger duties? I mean, you can't exactly get world peace with monsters attacking the states nearly every day, can you?"
"This is why I have called you all here," Zordon answered. "I am very pleased, Rangers. Though it is no surprise that you three were among those selected."
"Over 10,000 students applied to participate in the summit," Billy informed their mentor.
"You guys just might save the world," Kim said, excitedly.
"They do that on a regular basis," Ciaran pointed out. "But that still doesn't answer my question."
"No doubt the qualities which made you successful as Power Rangers will save you well in your roles as peace ambassadors," said Zordon.
Suddenly the siren started to wail.
Nuala groaned and lifted her head from Tommy's shoulder. "I knew we'd jinx it," she grumbled.
"What is it, Zordon?" Tommy asked.
"Sensors in outer space indicate Zedd has begun energizing some sort of massive weapon," Alpha answered.
"That doesn't sound good," Ciaran muttered.
"Unfortunately, Ciaran, it isn't," Zordon replied. "The day has arrived where Zedd has completed Serpentera."
"Serpen - who?" Ciaran asked, blinking in confusion.
"A gigantic machine of destruction," Zordon explained.
"You had to ask, Ci," Nuala said.
"Zedd will most likely attack while they're at the peace summit," Billy concluded.
"I'm going to take a wild guess and say that's his plan," Nuala said.
Zordon nodded. "He knows that once Jason, Trini and Zack depart half of our strength will be gone," he explained. "This could be disastrous, Power Rangers."
"Could be?" Nuala repeated. "I'd say this reaches maximum level of disaster. Tell me there's a way to counter it."
"There is only one course - but it will be very difficult," said Zordon. "Serpentera is more powerful than anything you've yet faced. You may need assistance. This is your new carrierzord, Tor." A giant tortoise Zord appeared inside the viewing globe. "If your Zords are in peril, call on Tor for protection."
"Awesome," Tommy grinned.
"But how will it protect us?" Billy asked.
"Once inside, you'll be shielded by Tor's heavy armour as it transports you to safety. Most important, I must now choose three new Power Rangers, or Zedd may overwhelm us and take over the world."
"But, Zordon, who?" Kim asked.
Ciaran looked excited. He had been around since the beginning of the Rangers, and had been a big help to them during their missions to protect the world. Surely Zordon would consider this and pick him.
"You will learn soon enough," Zordon said. "Once the power transfer is activated it must be carried out without interruption."
"The power transfer?" Tommy asked. "Is it possible?"
"Yes, but it is very difficult," said Zordon. "Because of the enormous amounts of power required the transfer can only be achieved in one place. You must travel to the deserted planet." A map appeared in Tommy's hands. "With this map and ring, you must retrieve the sword of light. Only with the sword can power be transferred to the new Rangers."
Nuala frowned. "Where's the deserted planet?" she asked.
"In a galaxy light years away," Zordon answered. "Alpha will teleport you there. Jason, Zack and Trini will go with you on their last quest as Power Rangers"
Nuala and Kim heaved a deep breath and nodded.
"Ready when you are, Rangers," said Alpha.
"Good luck," Ciaran said, stepping away from his friends.
The team nodded and fell into formation.
"It's morphin' time! - Tigerzord!"
"Mastodon!"
"Pterodactyl!"
"Triceratops!"
"Sabre-toothed tiger!"
"Dire Wolf!"
"Tyrannosaurus!"
~*Raising the Stakes*~
The first thing the rangers noticed when they arrived on the deserted planet was that it was a barren wasteland and everything was a rusted red colour. Strange objects hovered in the air, spinning in lazy circles, and in the distance there was a city.
"That must be it," said Jason. "The deserted city."
"Hard to believe this has been uninhabited for thousands of years," said Tommy, looking around in awe.
"It's beautiful, don't you think?" Kim asked.
"Sure, if you like red, red, and, oh, look, more red," Nuala said.
Zack smirked and put his hand on her shoulder. "Anyone ever tell you that you're heavily sarcastic when you're tired?" he asked.
"Better to be sarcastic than moody though, right?" Nuala asked.
"I guess," Zack shrugged. "But even being sarcastic can be rude."
"Sorry. I'll try and hold back from now one."
"We need to hurry," Billy said, looking at the map. "We'll be heading right into the heart of the city. At least there won't be any traffic to worry about."
"You got that right," Tommy chuckled.
"The sword is part of a statue," Billy added, showing them the second slip of paper attached to the map. "It should be clearly visible once we get close."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Trini asked. "Let's go."
"Wait, look!" Zack said, pointing into the sky.
The Rangers cast their gazes up and spotted a giant flying serpent heading straight towards them.
"Get a load of that thing!" Tommy breathed.
"Hey, I thought the planet was supposed to be deserted?" Kim asked as a loud roar rocked the foundation of the city.
"Zordon tells us that Zedd has been building a giant metal serpent, and the next thing we know, we're being attacked by a giant metal serpent," said Nuala. "I think its safe bet to say we've found Lord Zedd."
"He must have come here for the sword," Jason said, nodding in agreement. He paused and then turned to Tommy. "Get out of here, I'll try and distract him."
"Are you sure?" Tommy asked.
"Don't worry about me," Jason said. "I'll call on my Zord and we'll meet at the statue."
"Right. Be careful," Tommy warned. He turned to the others and nodded. "Come on, guys, let's go."
The others patted Jason on the shoulder and then headed off in the direction of the deserted city.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
As the rangers left the command centre, the sirens wailed again.
Observing the viewing globe, Ciaran saw an image of the park where all its occupants were passed out on the ground. Including Lana and Ellis Archer. "Mum! Ellis!" Ciaran gasped. "Zordon, do something!"
"Activating transportation, now," Alpha said.
Ciaran watched as his mother and nephew disappeared from the park and reappeared in the command centre. Ellis was asleep in his pushchair whilst Lana was curled up in a fetal position on the floor. Ciaran dropped to his beside her and tried to shake her awake.
"Ciaran, she won't wake like that," Zordon said.
"Why not?" Ciaran asked. "She's just sleeping. Surely she should be easy to wake up."
"This is no ordinary sleep," Zordon said. "This is a Lord Zedd induced sleep."
Ciaran frowned and looked up. "What are you talking about?" he asked.
"Lord Zedd is trying to stop us from choosing three new rangers," Zordon said. "Alpha, we need to teleport the chosen three here before it is too late."
"The sleep cloud is causing interference, Zordon, but I think I found them," Alpha confirmed.
"Wait, the chosen three?" Ciaran asked. "You've already made your decision?"
Zordon nodded and looked down at the disheartened fourteen-year-old. "I am sorry, Ciaran, but I cannot you into battle," he said. "Maybe one day, but not today."
"I get it," Ciaran said. "It's still hurtful though."
"You are a great asset here, at the command centre," Zordon said.
Hearing the praise, Ciaran beamed. The light of a teleport beam filled the command centre, and Ciaran turned to find Adam, Rocky and Aisha standing behind him.
"Ciaran?" Adam questioned. He then noticed Lana and Ellis asleep at the edge of the command centre and hurried to their side. "What happened? What's going on?" he asked.
"Lord Zedd put them, and the rest of Angel Grove to sleep," Ciaran answered.
"Where are the Rangers?" Rocky asked.
"On a mission."
"Is that what that pink cloud was?" Aisha asked. "A sleep cloud?"
Ciaran nodded.
"We've got to find out what's causing it," said Adam.
"Sensors indicate it's coming from the park," Alpha said, checking the computers.
"With the Rangers away, we need your help," Zordon said.
"We'll help any way we can," Rocky said. Adam and Aisha nodded in agreement.
Zordon nodded. "Alpha will teleport you to the coordinates," he said. "Whatever device is creating the cloud must be destroyed."
"The wind is blowing south," Alpha explained. "I'll teleport you in behind the cloud so it won't affect you."
"We're ready," Rocky said.
Ciaran looked up as the three disappeared. Even though he had lost his chance to be a ranger, he couldn't help but agree with Zordon's choice. Adam, Rocky and Aisha would make amazing rangers in place of Jason, Trini and Zack.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
Nuala shivered as she looked around the deserted city. By the time she and the others had reached its heart, it was nothing more than mass of crumbled debris. "Serpentera sure knows how to decimate a city, doesn't it?" she asked.
"Where is this statue?" Zack asked.
"The building with the statue should be right about here," said Billy, looking around. "Or it used to be."
"If it's not here then it could be anywhere," Trini said. "Unless Zedd destroyed it already."
Tommy shook his head. "We can't think like that," he said. "Come on. Let's keep looking."
The others nodded and branched out. They didn't wander too far from the rest of the group. But just enough so that they could cover a little more ground in their search. After much digging and searching, Nuala decided to climb a mountain of debris to get a better look of her surroundings. She stumbled and wobbled on loose rocks but finally made it to the top of a debris covered hill.
The sight from the top was unimaginable, and that wasn't all. In the centre of her hill was the statue they were searching for.
"Hey, you guys, up here," Nuala called. "I found it!"
Tommy looked up and started to climb, followed by the others. "Wow, this is awesome," he said as he reached his friend. "Nice find, Nuala."
"Thanks," Nuala said. "Now let's get the sword and get out of here."
"Right," Tommy said. He approached the statue and grasped the hilt of the sword. It felt sturdy but wouldn't budge when he tried to remove it.
Zack sighed as Tommy continued to struggle.
"Hey, guys, we've got a problem," said Jason as he returned to his friends. "That thing is way too powerful. We need to get out of here."
"We can't leave without the sword," Kim said.
"Then let's try a different approach," Billy said, reaching for his blaster. He passed the map and ring to Nuala and fired his lasers at the statue's hand. It glowed yellow for a few seconds and then returned to normal.
Tommy grasped the stone again and tried to pull the sword free. It still wouldn't budge.
"Why won't it work?" Kim asked.
"Maybe because we're going about it all wrong," said Trini, inspecting the map with Nuala. She pointed to the hand on the paper. "He's wearing the ring."
Nuala looked at the piece of jewelry and then looked at the stone statue. "What if the image is trying to tell us something?" she asked. She brushed past Billy and Kim and slid the ring onto the finger of the statue. The hand glowed yellow again and released the sword.
"Nice work, girls'," Tommy said.
Nuala and Trini grinned and high-fived one another.
Tommy picked up the sword and turned to his team. "We got it!" he said.
"Awesome!"
"Great!"
"Now let's get back to Earth," Jason said.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
Suddenly the ground beneath their feet shoot and started to fall away as a giant gaping hole opened in the centre of the city, sucking in anything and everything in its path.
"Oh no!" Kim asked. "Lord Zedd is destroying the planet."
"Guys, if we don't get out of here now," said Tommy. "We're never getting out of here."
"Alpha, teleport us now!" Jason called into his communicator.
The ground shook again causing the rangers to stumble away from the statue.
"Look out!" Zack yelled, pushing Trini and Nuala aside as a blast from Serpentera hit the statue, obliterating it.
"Alpha's not responding!" Jason said.
Kim took in a shaky breath and looked around. "Maybe we should head back to where we arrived," she said. "Try again."
"We can't," said Billy. "Serpentera has destroyed the city. There's no way out."
"We have to do something," Trini said. "We can't be stuck here."
"I'll try again," Jason said, lifting his communicator to his helmet. He tapped the contact button on the side and suddenly the seven of them disappeared.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
"Did you do it, Alpha? Did you find them?" Ciaran asked.
"I'm having a little trouble locating them," Alpha said. "But I have managed to find something. I hope it is them."
"Alpha!"
Ciaran looked around to find Zack and Trini standing behind him. "We found two," he said. "Where are the others?"
"Alpha, try isolating their wavelengths," Zordon instructed.
"Whoa, that was close," Kim said as she and Jason arrived.
"That's four," Ciaran said. "But what about Nuala, Billy and Tommy?"
The others shook their heads just as Billy arrived.
"Alpha, I need to recalibrate the teleporter," Billy said, removing his helmet and joining the robot at the computers.
"Billy, where are Tommy and Nuala?" Kim asked.
Billy didn't answer her as he got to work on his task. Recalibrating the teleporter should have been enough to bring Tommy and Nuala back safely. "Amplifying wavelengths," the blue ranger said, turning dials and pressing buttons.
Ciaran looked away from the team and crossed his fingers. Suddenly a white and silver light filled the command centre and Tommy and Nuala stumbled into view.
"Thank god," Kim sighed.
"That's it," Nuala said, removing her helmet and turning to Tommy. "That is the last time I am being paired with you."
"Why now?" Tommy asked.
"Because every time I am paired with you, I end up getting lost in the teleport," Nuala said.
Tommy rolled his eyes and stepped up onto the podium, presenting the sword of light to Zordon. "We brought the sword," he said.
"That is good. We need to prepare," said Zordon. "Zedd plans to invade Earth with Serpentera."
"Serpentera was a formidable challenge and destroyed the whole deserted city," Billy said.
"Zordon, we can't go to the peace conference - not now," Trini said. "There has to be another way."
Zordon shook his head. "Trini, Zack and Jason, in your hearts, you'll always carry the spirit of the Power Rangers. But your destinies lie elsewhere. You have been chosen to help the world in a different way now. Retrieving the sword of light was your last quest. It was important that you be successful, and because you were, the Power Rangers will endure. The sword of light will allow your powers to be transferred to three new rangers."
"But who?" Billy asked.
"Oh, you're going to love this," Ciaran grinned.
A silver light filled the command centre and the team turned to find Rocky, Adam and Aisha standing behind them.
Nuala grinned at the three. "This is too good to be true," she said.
"It's incredible, isn't it?" Aisha asked.
Zordon smiled. "Tommy, hold the sword of light high above your head," he instructed. "We will now start the ceremony to transfer power from Jason, Zack, and Trini to Rocky, Adam, and Aisha."
The team replaced their helmets to their heads and Tommy lifted the sword into the air. Using Zordon's power to energies it, the stone cover fell away revealing to the Rangers the gold casing beneath.
"Nice," Zack said.
Tommy grinned and took hold of the swords hilt. He raised it into the air and the three jewels on the blade glowed, red, black, and yellow. Power surged from Zordon and the three rangers, incased the sword and passed out onto Rocky, Adam, and Aisha.
The ranger suits disappeared from their original rangers, and reappeared on their new masters.
"Departing, Rangers," said Zordon, addressing Jason, Zack, and Trini. "You have served with courage. I thank you. I know that in your new life, you will serve with dignity, humility and strength. Go now and make the world a better place."
Jason, Trini, and Zack nodded.
"Hey, guys, power up!" Tommy said.
"Power up!" Jason, Zack and Trini repeated before disappearing.
"Bye guys," Kim sighed.
Nuala wound her arm around her friend's shoulders and squeezed. "Don't worry, Kim, this won't be the last time we see them," she said.
"How do you know?" Kim asked.
Nuala cast a glance in Adam's direction. If she could be reunited with Adam after so many years, she had faith that they would be reunited with Jason, Zack and Trini one day too. "I just do," she said.
Kim smiled and squeezed Nuala back.
"New members of the Power Rangers always remember - you are part of a team. Watch out for the others as you would watch out for yourselves. Rocky, with your strength and knowledge you will command the power of the Red Dragon Thunderzord. Aisha, you are spirited and clever, you will command the power of the griffin Thunderzord, and Adam, you are watchful and intelligent you will command the power of the lion Thunderzord."
"Thank you, Zordon, I won't let you down," Adam said.
Removing their helmets once more, the team regrouped. Once again they were at full strength.
"Rangers, you possess powers so that you may protect the Earth. Use them to defend, never to attack. To ensure justice, never for vengeance. To preserve righteousness, never for selfish glory. Remember this and they will protect you forever."
"I don't think we could've made a better choice," Kim said, leaning closer to Tommy.
Tommy nodded.
"I'm so excited," Alpha said. "Welcome aboard, Rocky, Adam, and Aisha."
As the team mingled, Ciaran turned to his sister. "Would now be a good time to deliver the news?" he asked.
"What news?" Nuala asked.
"Just after you left, Lord Zedd unleashed a sleep cloud which put the whole city to sleep," Ciaran said. "Including Mum and Ellis."
Nuala froze. "What?" she asked. "Where are they? Tell me they're OK!"
"They are now," Ciaran said. "They were just in a deep sleep. We brought them here once he realised what was happening."
"Where are they now?" Nuala asked.
"Alpha sent them home," Ciaran replied. "Ellis was still asleep and Mum wanted to take him home to bed."
Nuala sighed in relief and put a hand to her chest. Her heart was beating a mile a minute behind her ribcage, but she wasn't panicking as much as she would've been if her mother and son were still affected.
Just then the sirens started to wail again.
"What's happening?" Rocky asked.
"Lord Zedd has unleashed a monster called Silver Horns onto the city," Alpha explained, examining the readings on the computer. "He's rampaging in the park."
"Are you guys ready?" Tommy asked the three new rangers.
They nodded.
"Just so you know," Kim said. "We're on call 24 hours a day."
"We're ready," Rocky confirmed.
"Alright," Tommy said. "Let's morph. Back to action."
The team disappeared leaving Ciaran alone again with Alpha and Zordon. He paused and looked to the robot. "She took that better than I expected," he mused.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
Arriving in the park, the Rangers squared off against the monster.
"It's time you were exterminated - right?" Tommy said, asking his friends.
"Let's do it!" the others agreed.
"What's bugging you, Power Puffs?" Silver Horns asked, approaching the team. He pulled back and then threw a ball of energy at the team, knocking them off their feet. "Could it be my bug bombs?!"
He pulled back for a second time but instead of throwing another bug bomb at the rangers, he smashed a silver bomb into the ground and used its serum to grow to Megazord heights.
"Should've seen that one coming," Nuala said.
"Now what do we do?" Rocky asked.
"Tor," Billy said. "Zordon said he would protect us."
Tommy nodded as he too remembered what Zordon had said about the carrierzord. "Alright. Nuala, Rocky, you guys stay here and deal with Silver Horns. The others and I will try and head Serpentera off."
"Alright," said Rocky.
"Be careful," Kim said.
Nuala nodded. "Same goes for you," she said, watching as the majority of the team run off. She waited for them to disappear and then turned to Rocky. "Ready?" she asked.
"Ready!"
"We need Thunderzord power now!" the two yelled, reaching into the air as lightning clashed.
"Dire Wolf Sprite Thunderzord Power!"
"Tyrannosaurus Red Dragon Thunderzord Power!"
The two Zords appeared and combined. Without the bulk of their armour they didn't look any more than a metal man and a fancy helmet, but with the others off dealing with a bigger threat they were all they had.
"We need to be careful, Rocky," Nuala said. "There is only the two of us, and we don't have that many weapons at our disposal."
"We can do it," Rocky said. "Come on."
Nuala nodded.
The robot moved forward, blocking Silver Horns path towards the city. The monster roared at the intervention and stabbed at the stomach with the claws on his fingers. The two fought back and forth, with Rocky and Nuala taking a few severe hits before they were knocked off their feet.
Throwing their hands out to stop them from falling, Nuala and Rocky called on their staff and headed off the monster again.
"Why don't you quit while you're ahead, Rangers?" Silver Horns grumbled. He laughed as the two ranger swiped at him with their staff, but it did very little damage. Opening its one eye, Silver Horns blasted the two teenagers with multicolored lighting as the skies above them turned dark. "Looks like you're headed for the final hoedown," he taunted.
Rocky grunted as the robot took another hit. "This guy's brutal," he said.
"We can't afford to take another hit like that," said Nuala.
"Let's see him avoid this," said Rocky. He slammed the staff into the ground and used it to withstand the robots weight as he propelled the robot towards Silver Horns. The rangers kicked Silver Horns and sent him stumbling away.
Thrusting the Megazords hand into the air along with the staff, Nuala and Rocky initiated the spin cycle and aimed it at Silver Horns.
"This won't do much damage," Nuala said. "But it should hold him off."
"For how long?"
"Hopefully until Tommy gets here," said Nuala. She lifted her right arm and activated the call sequence to the other communicators. "Tommy, we need help!"
"I'm on my way, Nuala," Tommy replied.
Unfazed by the silver and red ranger's attacks, Silver Horns turned its back on them and headed towards the city again. This time, however, it was blocked off by a white tiger Zord. "The sheriff has a deputy?" he asked.
"You got it, Silver Horns, and your road ends here," said Tommy, blocking the path.
"Take this!" Silver Horns shouted, opening fire on the two. The fire did very little damage to Tommy, but the already critical levels for Nuala and Rocky continued to drop.
Nuala groaned as her systems were in the red. "If we take another hit, we're done for," she said, trying to activate the backup generators. The lights inside the robot light up as the reserve power flooded their systems.
"We're still at a disadvantage," Rocky said.
"Not for long," Nuala said. "Tommy, can you hold him off?"
"Sure. You two get out of here," said Tommy, storming forward with the Tigerzord.
Rocky watched and then turned to Nuala. "What's the plan?" he asked.
"Tor, we need help!" Nuala called.
The ground shook as the carrierzord lumbered towards them. Its shell opened and up the robot slid into place. It was snug inside, but they fit without incident.
"So we're just going to hide in here?" Rocky asked.
Nuala shook her head. "Guys, we need you," she said into her communicators. "Rocky and I are almost out of energy. We need the rest of the Megazord to survive this fight."
"We're on our way, Nuala," Billy said.
The ground shook as the rest of the Zords arrived. Nuala and Rocky left the safety of Tor, and was replaced by Tommy and the Tigerzord. Jumping into the air, Nuala and Rocky combined with the other Zords to form the Megazord and landed on the ground beside Tommy.
"Let's finish him," Tommy said over the communicator.
The others nodded and trudged towards Silver Horns, running him through with the Megazords sword.
Silver horns exploded behind them.
~*Raising the Stakes*~
Nuala squeezed Ciaran's shoulders as they watched Jason, Trini and Zack enter Angel Grove airport via the viewing globe.
"Ay-yi-yi! It's so sad that they're leaving," Alpha said, shaking his head.
"Yeah, Alpha, it is sad to see them go," Billy agreed. "But on the other hand, it's really exciting to have three new Power Rangers joining us."
"They get to help the world in ways that we as Rangers can't," Nuala said. "I mean, yeah, we can protect them and make sure that they have another tomorrow to wake up too, but think of all the good that they are going to do."
Kim smiled and waved at the viewing globe. "Bye, guys," she said, before smiling at Aisha. "I hope they don't forget to write," she added to Billy.
"We saved the world from Zedd," Aisha grinned. "Wow. This is unreal."
"You won't be saying that in a couple of months," Ciaran said. "It gets really real, real soon, right guys?" he asked the original rangers.
"You also get used to him, really real soon," Nuala said, putting her hand over her brother's mouth. She cringed seconds later as he licked her palm. "Ew! That's gross!" she whined.
The team laughed as Nuala wiped her hand in Ciaran's shirt.
"Congratulations, Power Rangers," Zordon boomed, "on your first victory together. You've lived up to my expectations."
"You made excellent choices, Zordon," Alpha said.
"It is true you defeated Lord Zedd today. But it is not the end, only the beginning. He and Serpentera will be back more powerful than ever."
Adam looked around at his new friends and team-mates. "We can handle it," he said, determinedly.
"I know you can," Zordon agreed. "But remember your strength lies in your ability to judge each situation and avoid the use of force whenever you can."
Ciaran frowned and raised his hand. "Would using force against, say Chris, be using their ranger powers for personal gain?" he asked.
Adam tensed and glanced at Nuala. He caught her eye and smiled. She had already told him all about Chris' return the previous night and he had promised her that he wouldn't allow Chris anyone near her, just like he had done many years before.
"I'm pretty sure you could class any interaction with Chris as self-defense," Adam said. Ciaran looked happy.
Rocky and Aisha frowned. "Who is Chris?" they asked.
"Someone from my past that I wish to forget," Nuala replied. She paused, and added. "Trust me when I say you'll learn about Chris soon enough. I know for a fact that we haven't seen the last of him."
Billy squeezed Nuala's shoulder reassuringly.
"On a brighter note," said Tommy, smiling at the three new rangers. "Welcome to the team, guys."
