Chapter 14: Foretellings and Fights
Lalia's POV:
I burst into the library and I heard Nate frantically calling my name. I raced up the stairs and found him kneeling on the ground, Rose and Tom looking at him with despair.
"Rose, Tom!" I yelled and gleefully embraced them, before kneeling down in front of Nate. "What happened to him?"
"We have no idea. He has been shouting your name for several minutes now," Rose replied.
He was quivering, his eyes squeezed shut. His hands were covering his ears and he was shaking his head, as if he didn't want to hear something or believe it was happening.
"Nate? Nate can you hear me?" Almost as if in response to my voice his hands lifted slightly from his ears and he stopped shaking his head. "Nate it's me, it's Eulalia. I'm here, there is nothing to worry about. I am safe, you are safe, Rose and Tom are safe. Now snap out of it."
As soon as I stopped he started to shake his head again, so I continued to talk, "Ignatius, you need wake up from whatever it is that is happening inside that head of yours. I. Am. Here." I cupped his face in my hands. "No one has me, no one is hurting me. I am right here in front of you, just open your eyes and see for yourself."
Slowly, I lent in and kissed him on the lips. At first he didn't respond, and it felt like I was kissing a statue. But then, suddenly, he responded, as if believing it could be me and I felt the fire start in my veins. It was a short kiss, but sweet and meaningful. As we pulled away he finally opened his eyes, "Lia, thank Notch it's you. I thought I was going crazy."
I could see the faint tear trails that glistened down his face, and I had to wonder just what had he imagined?
"Yes, it is me," I replied, smiling that he was alive.
"I thought they had you, I thought you were…"
"Dead? That's what I thought of you. I saw you fall Nate, I thought I would never see you again," I replied with a sad smile. "But here we are, together again. I don't think anything could truly separate us, not even death."
"I love you so much," He uttered softly, his words full of love.
"I love you too," I smiled, and we embraced and kissed for a few moments before we were interrupted by a certain spoil-sport.
"Alright lovebirds, you can stop eating each other's faces now," Tom interrupted, clearly tired of our displays of affection. We slowly drew apart, but still held hands as if frightened to let the other go.
"Well, if we're going to change the topic would someone like to tell me why-oh-why you thought I would be in the library of all places? Do I really seem like that much of a nerd?" I asked.
"I, ugh, we…. We" Nate stumbled over his words, obviously looking for an answer that wasn't 'Yes'.
"We thought you might be doing some research," Tom said quickly, but I saw the 'you-owe-me-one' look he threw Nate.
"That might not be such a bad idea," I said, looking around at all the shelves. If the library looked large outside, it looked humongous inside.
"Didn't Rose say something in her Foretelling about books?" Nate asked.
"Yes I did," Rose agreed, a look of contemplation lighting up her face, "I believe it was something about a Foretelling being underground and underneath book and spell. I saw a restricted section earlier, perhaps they would keep it there."
"Sound like a good idea, let's make a plan," I said and we began to discuss and debate pros and cons of all our ideas.
We decided that it would be logical to check the larger non-restricted area for any information on all things ender first. We split up to cover more ground, Rose making her way downstairs and Tom disinterestedly browsing the shelves all over the library. Nate, however, refused to leave my side. He followed me around like a loyal dog, insisting in carrying any heavy books for me. Well, any book really. Once I dropped a book on my foot and he kicked it into the wall. Good thing it was only some trashy vampire novel and not anything important.
Once I determined that we had enough resources we went back to the upstairs study area. Nate looked like he would swing at a shadow if he thought it tried to hurt me. I settled at the table, placing down my small stack of books (some of which were fiction books I wanted to borrow purely for something to do if I couldn't sleep). Ignatius unceremoniously dumped his pile down next to mine, causing a loud noise to echo through the library. A student studying at a table across the room gave us an angry look.
"Whoa! Be careful with that thing," Tom exclaimed as he narrowly dodged being skewered by Nate's blade. "I just wanted to join your nerdy little study group or whatever you wanna call this." He placed down his own (considerably smaller) pile of books across from us.
"Really Thomas," Rose reprimanded, arriving at the table with a whole cart of books. "I think you should be more polite to someone who almost killed you a few seconds ago."
"Alright Miss manners police, I'll be a good citizen from now on. I'll just start flipping through these boring books in hope we might find something useful," Tom sighed sarcastically.
Together we continued searching through books for the next few hours, finding nothing we didn't know before. "Endermen do not fare well in water.", "The Ender Dragon Queen can only be found in the End, where she was imprisoned by Notch and Herobrine thousands of years ago.", "the only way to get to the End is through an End Portal." And other useless facts similar to those again and again and again. Most of the books were filled with junk, as only Notch and Herobrine had survived a battle with the Ender Dragon Queen and it wasn't like many people had met them and we couldn't ask them since we were trying to rescue them.
However then we found one book in Tom's pile which actually had some interesting information in it. Strengths and weaknesses of various mobs, including the Ender Dragon and Wither King. Apparently, the Wither King is far more powerful than a normal Wither, and if you got hit by one of his skulls, without a potion or having full health initially, you would die within half an hour just from the Wither poison. It was meant to be a slow and incredibly painful death. I could bombard you with a thousand other facts from this book, however it would be easier to tell you as we go.
"Thomas," Rose suddenly asked, "Where exactly did you get this book from?"
"I might have gone into the restricted section," he said nonchalantly.
"Tom!" I exclaimed, earning us another scornful look from the student still studying at one of the tables.
"What, all the other books were s#! ," He said retorted.
"Thomas!" Rose exclaimed, more softly than I had.
"Well, we might as well start looking for the Foretelling," I sighed. Couldn't Tom just stick with a plan and not swear for once.
We stood outside a set of double doors that stood in front of a small staircase. The friendly honey-blonde librarian opened the door for us with a smile.
"Just don't take or damage anything," she instructed.
"We wouldn't dream of it," I promised, sending a pointed look at Tom.
She smiled and walked off, seemingly satisfied with my answer. Over her shoulder she reminded us to close the door behind us, and then she went back to some other librarian duty.
"What the Nether did you give me that look for?" Tom exclaimed angrily, "It's not like I'm actually going to write on or steal a stupid book. Well, probably not, depends on how bored I get."
"Just promise me you won't touch anything that looks important or vandalise any of the books," I told him seriously.
"Fine, whatever, I promise," He sighed disinterestedly and then grumbled something under his breath.
We soon reached the bottom of the stair case and found ourselves in a long room with the original stone walls. The air was thick with dust and the smell of old books. Surprisingly, there were only a few bookshelves around the edges of the room, most of the books lay in a display cabinet or were hidden in some chest.
There, right at the centre of the other end of the room lay an ancient looking collection of scrolls and books with a sign saying 'Foretellings' above the display case.
Rose quickly strode forward and hovered her hand over each one before selecting one of the newer looking, but still ancient, books. It had a fading, dark green leather cover and looked as if it hadn't seen the light of day for many years. The ink itself was slowly lifting away with age, however the writing was still visible.
"Read it out," Nate urged her. If anyone should read such a text, it should be Rose.
She couldn't hold it up herself, but the text was open to the correct page in the case. It seemed the book was only a double page, but the words on them were filled with power.
"This Foretelling is of a land,
The same one in which I stand.
Throughout which evil forces wave,
Only one group alone can save.
Led by those who are pure of heart,
Not only brave but also smart.
Different personalities joined as one,
Their leader is a god's son.
Born of fire says his name,
He knows this is more than merely a game.
With love and light at his side,
She is with him for the ride.
Another joins and makes three,
Set out to set the chained world free.
With the future in her sight,
She will always do as she see right.
More join and make four, five, six,
These few are quite a mix.
More come and go along the way,
But how many will faithfully stay?
Notch and Herobrine stolen by dark ones,
But their power in the family runs.
The son must fight to save this earth,
Then he will have proved his worth.
Dark forces are on the rise,
The heroes must see to their demise.
Through many a biome roam,
Just to return safely home.
Follow the eye up in the sky,
Through ocean deep and mountain high.
Do not dally or find cause to hinder,
Or you're cause shall be turned to tinder.
Along the way there will be death,
A few will breathe their last breath.
This is the cruel nature of war,
Leaving hearts aching and sore.
Always work as a team,
Things aren't always as they seem.
Trust in your heart and you'll pull through,
For no one can defeat them but you.
As the heroes read this text,
Something bad will happen next.
When the mobs come a calling,
Look out for the ceiling falling.
Hurry heroes, hear the cry,
But watch out for those who lie.
In the End a side will come last,
And revealed shall be secrets of the past."
"Wow," I said breathlessly. Every word had felt so important, like there was an ancient power flowing through each word. It had been about us, there was no doubt about it.
"I do not think I have ever read a text so powerful," Rose marvelled.
"How come you three get special mentions and all I get is that I'm number 4 and different to 5 and 6. Like what the Nether?" Tom huffed, his dark hair casting a shadow over his face and covering his left eye.
"Foretellings cannot be controlled by the Foreteller Thomas," Rose replied, giving him a look of slight disapproval. Those two really didn't like each other.
"Find, I was just asking. No need to get your knickers in a knot," Tom spat back, flicking his hair out of his eyes as he retorted.
"Hey, what's with the bit that says 'bad things will happen next?'," Tom asked after a few moments of silence. He was answered with a loud boom from above. Screams followed. I ran.
Nate's POV:
We all ran upstairs to see what the commotion out on the streets was, however Eulalia reached a window first.
"Enderman!" She cried.
"Don't look into his eyes!"
"Too late!"
The enderman's jaw unhinged and he let out an otherworldly scream. He must have been a lower rank and therefore not able to control himself when looked at by a Minecraftian. This also meant that I may be able to sway him ever so slightly.
Not enough to stop him teleporting into the room though.
I quickly ran up to Lia's side, and we both drew our swords. He teleported behind us, forcing us to swirl around to face him. I quickly dazed him with my powers, which allowed us to get a few swings at him. Lia's sword, which was enchanted, made a few small cuts through the dark purple scales, but my sword barely left a scratch.
"Here," Lia passed me her sword and I pushed mind back into her hands. She drew out her diamond pick. Together, we began to work through the tough obsidian scales of the beast and a black blood began to ooze from the cuts.
Rose and Tom were at the door, where a few wither mobs had broken in. They were begrudgingly working together to hack their way through the stream of mobs.
Soon Lalia and I figured out it worked best if we stood back-to-back, so we could always see the dark fiend. She would chip away some obsidian with her diamond pick, and I would slash at the exposed flesh. I looked out the window to see townsfolk gathered around the entrance, picking off any mobs who dared to get near.
A sharp pain in my left shoulder brought my attention back to the fight inside. While I was distracted, the enderman had taken this as an opportunity to cut deep into my upper left arm. I winced at the pain, but carried on none the less. 'Good thing I'm right handed,' I thought to myself.
The mob was on my side still, and preparing for another strike. I lifted my sword, but even that sent a bolt of pain to my shoulder. I let out an involuntary groan of pain and Lia turned around. She gasped as she saw the blood seeping from the gap in my armour on my shoulder. She leapt in front of me and blocked the enderman's blow with her pick and sword. She then quickly gave me my sword back in exchange for her own.
"Nobody. Hurts. IGNATIUS!" She screamed and slashed at the beast with both her sword and pick. It let out otherworldly screeches of pain as she cut away the exterior with her pick and dug into its soft inner flesh with her sword. She hit it again, and again, and again, and again. Finally it gave in and collapsed to the floor, promptly turning to smoke. All it left was a dark green eye which flew up into Lia's bag.
Dark blood stained the once green carpets and was splattered across both Lia's and my own armour. At the door the weaker mobs retreated as they saw their leader was defeated. The crowd outside, now full of guards, made short work of them. Rose and Tom drew to our side.
"Nobody hurts Ignatius and gets away with it," Eulalia spat fiercely, sneering at where the corpse of the enderman had briefly lain.
A female adult Minecraftian rushed in. Her strawberry blonde hair was tied up in a bun and she wore a white doctor's coat. "Is anyone injured?" She asked.
"Over here," Rose and Lia chorused in unison.
"Oh my dear Notch, that is rather bad," she exclaimed upon seeing my shoulder. As the adrenaline wore off, it began to ache, which increased rapidly to feeling like it was on fire. I looked at it just to check it wasn't actually on fire, strange things happen when you're Herobrine's son. My vision blurred, white spots appearing and disappearing. It felt like the world was spinning. Before I knew it, the world turned black.
The first thing I saw was a white room. Then the strong smell of potions hit me. The lights were so bright, I just wanted to close my eyes and sleep. But a voice kept me awake.
"Nate, I'm so glad you're awake," she said softly.
"Lia," I groaned trying to sit up, "Where am I?"
I felt firm hands push me back down, "You are in a private room of the Atlantis General Hospital. Your shoulder was injured badly in battle. We thought it would be a good idea to keep you a few hours while you heal. However, you seem to heal at a remarkable rate, in fact I only just managed to cleanse the wound before it sealed up. You had lost quite a bit of blood by then, so we need to keep an eye on you because of that. If you keep healing like you have been, we could probably let you out within the hour." I vaguely recognised her as the red haired doctor from the library.
"Wait," I said as she turned to exit. She stopped, "What's your name?"
"Doctor Fenderson, I'm in charge of your recovery," She replied.
"Did you tell her?" I asked Lia.
"Tell me what?" Doctor Fenderson asked suspiciously.
"Oh, uh, just that, um… fast healing runs in his family," Lalia half-lied.
"Okay. I've got other patients to attend to, just make sure he doesn't do anything too stressful until I'm back," She said and disappeared out the door.
Lalia's POV:
"So what now?" I asked.
Tom, Rose and I were all seated around Nate's bed.
"I suppose now would be an appropriate time to look into the future so we can plan how to proceed," Rose said.
"Yeah, that'd be good," Nate confirmed. I had hated to see him unconscious and bloodied on his way to the hospital. I had again felt that hopelessness and failure I'd experienced just a day or so ago. I swiftly blocked those memories from my mind.
Rose once again focused herself. She was again only glimpsing in order to not pass out but also get enough information so that we can act.
"I see a great battle. Mobs of all sorts are fighting in the market square and main street. The clock tower reads midnight." She visibly pulled herself out of the image.
"What time is it now?" Nate enquired.
"8pm," Tom replied and swore violently under his breath.
"Really Thomas, is such rude language necessary?"
"Yes."
"That question was rhetorical."
"I know it was, Book face."
"Zombie brain."
"Spider guts!"
"Skeleton skull!"
"Nether…Wait, why skeleton skull?" Tom asked confusedly.
"Because, like you, it has no brain!" Rose retorted.
"Enough!" I shouted, "Break it up you two."
Silence fell.
Rose broke it, looking at me apologetically, "Please accept my most humble apology. I am deeply sorry for letting my emotions take control of my words.
"Apology accepted," Tom grinned slyly.
"Not you, you foolish block of dirt!" She hit his arm, "My apology goes out the Miss Eulalia."
"Thank you Rose, and Tom, now is not the time to be immature. This is a serious situation, this whole city is in danger." I replied.
"Well Rose doesn't have to criticise Tom every time he swears," Nate said.
"Swearing isn't a habit to be encouraged Ignatius," I reminded him. "Anyway, now is not the time to argue. We need to alert the citizens and make some sort of plan as to what to do next."
"Question: How are we going to convince them we're telling the truth?" Nate asked.
"Why don't we just tell them and let them suffer if they don't believe us?" Tom suggested.
"Because that's very inconsiderate and not the kind of attitude I want from a hero of Minecraftia. We need to prove Rose's powers to them, perhaps you, Rose, could tell them something very few people would know about them?" I suggested.
"I think I might be able to… however you should probably have a backup plan." Rose said.
"It doesn't have to be anything huge, maybe just their favourite food or their favourite block. If that doesn't convince them, we may have to resort back to Nate. So Nate, do you have any abilities, other than dying in water and having flames for hair?" I asked him teasingly.
"I do in fact, I can submerge myself in lava without burning and I can also do a tiny bit of flame bending. I would have more powers if I were a fully-fledged god, however I have to wait for my father's death or retirement first," he said looking slightly put off that I had dared tease his powers. "And what are your powers? A cute smile and giggle and the ability to suddenly release a rage upon unsuspecting enemies and boyfriends?"
"Hey, you're my first boyfriend," I corrected him.
"And hopefully only," he smiled playfully.
"Perhaps," I replied with a smile.
"I think we're getting a tad off topic here," Tom interrupted our teasing.
"So, what do you say to our plan?" I asked.
"It seems reasonable," Rose said.
"Sounds good," Nate nodded in agreement.
"Whatever," Tom shrugged and we all looked at him disapprovingly. "Okay fine, yeah it's a great plan. Happy?"
"Wait," Nate said, just as we were about to ask the doctor if he could leave, "What are we going to tell these people if they believe us?"
After some thought I simply said, "Fight, flee or fall."
Nate's POV:
Doctor Fenderson was the first we alerted, and she vowed to try to evacuate as many of the sick and injured as possible. We then together went around town, giving those fleeing directions to Cubeolot and permission to fill as many of the houses as necessary. There were quite a large number of vacant houses left over from before the Mob War, so there shouldn't be a shortage, although some might get a tad packed.
Many people volunteered to stay and fight. Even though most were not well experienced in fighting, the numbers would hopefully make up for the inexperience. Tom and I decided to get our horses and join the ranks of the cavalry. I made sure Lia was further back from the action on foot, and Rose in her leather armour was on a rooftop as an archer.
Really, once everyone had amassed, it was quite an intimidating gathering, even if a few only had leather armour and stone swords.
The gates were braced shut and we all stood silently in the market place where only a day or so ago Tom and I had entered the city. Then, at five minutes before midnight, it began.
THUD, THUD, THUD.
The hammering against the door was loud and almost rhythmic.
For a second I wondered why they didn't use creepers to blast it open, but then the next even louder THUD caught my attention. This was it.
Lalia's POV:
In legends, they always make battles seem like a thing faced by the heroes with bravery. But in reality, I was just about ready to run the other way as the mobs thrashed against the door. What's worse is that it carried on for possibly the longest few minutes of my life. Then, just before midnight, the door finally splintered with a huge CRACK!
Mobs spilt through the now open door, however they didn't attack. From my limited view I could see a large number of zombies and skeletons, mostly Wither, a few Endermen, a large number of spiders and even a few large slimes at the back. One thing I noticed in the brief seconds of peace was the distinct lack of creepers.
All was silent. Then a single arrow flew right into a zombie's eye, and all Nether broke loose.
I could see Nate and Tom leading the charge and decapitating mobs from horseback, and while it took some time for any mobs to reach me, when they did I made short work of them.
As more and more mobs were slain, their blood began to paint the streets a dark crimson red. It mixed with the blood from Minecraftian wounds to form pools and stains all over the floor. We were clearly winning though, and the mobs knew this.
We could all taste the victory and it spurred us on to defeat even more monsters. It was as I struck my sword through a spider's thorax that I realised something was wrong. The mobs began retreating. Some folks began to celebrate, but I knew better. Something was wrong.
And then I heard it, the sound that would forever echo in my ears whenever I remembered this battle. It was this massive, collective BOOOOM!
It came from above. Remember how Atlantis is mostly under an ocean?
Water flooded in through the newly created holes and began to fill the city. It turns faintly red as it washed over the bloodied streets. It only took a few seconds for Nate to rush to my side and pick me up on the back of his horse.
Tom was by his side, and together we found Rose who begrudgingly joined Tom on Rusty. As we rode towards the city gates, I noticed a young woman of around my age trembling amongst the confusion. I gave her my hand and with some help pulled her up to join Nate and I on Storm's back. With our new companion, we sped out the gates and up the nearest tunnel. Nate used his powers to ward off any mobs, or if that didn't work we slaughtered them.
Eventually, we found a somewhat safe, small, round cave to stop in.
Finally, as we dismounted, I got to take in our new companion. The most obvious thing about her was the dark blonde, shoulder length hair she used to cover her face. She could obviously feel everyone looking at her, and I could see her sinking into herself. She raised a hand of nail bitten fingers to her mouth.
"What's your name?" I asked gently. No reply.
"Mine's Eulalia, but you can call me Lia. Torchhead over here is called Ignatius, and the girl with the glasses is Rose…"
"Hey," Nate interrupted, "What did I say about the name calling? And please Miss, call me Nate."
"And I'm Tom, not that anyone cares," Tom sighed moodily from over where he was looking at the two tunnels that lead upwards.
"Oh Tom, we do care, it's just some people," I sent a look at Nate, "interrupt others' introductions. Well, now that you know who we are, could we at least know your name?" I asked her again.
She thought about it for a second, before looking up to reveal big brown eyes, "My... My n-name's Seraphina, Seraphina Alida Cherrington."
"Seraphina is a lovely name," I complimented "Do you shorten it to Sera?" She nodded. (A/N: Pronounced like Sarah)
"Now, Sera, I don't guess you would happen to know the way out of here?" Nate asked.
"I… I think I might," She stammered nervously, her gaze returning to the ground.
"Could you show us which tunnel to take?" Nate asked politely. She nodded. She walked over to the tunnels and looked for a second before pointing to the right-hand tunnel. We attached the leads to our horses and readjusted our bags, which I had insisted we take in case something were to happen. Ignatius made some corny joke about taking the right tunnel as we continued on our journey to the surface.
We had been walking up the cave system for a good few hours when we finally caught a glimpse of faint early morning sunlight.
"Finally, some fresh air," I said rushing to greet the outdoors. Being beneath the earth had reminded me of the time I had spent in the shelter. I shivered gently as I tried to suppress the memory of a little minecart arriving outside the shelter and reading a blood stained note telling of the outcome of the War.
I shook the memory off like a dog shakes off water. I flinched as Nate put his hands on my shoulder and I was suddenly brought back to the present. I was nearing the exit of a cave with a small team of Minecraftians who were together the last hope of Minecraftia.
"Are you okay?" Nate put his hand under my face and gently lifted it up so I looked him in the eyes.
"As long as you're here with me, I'm fine," I answered honestly. His blue eyes were lit up beautifully by the early morning light. He kissed me sweetly, first on the forehead, then on each cheek, followed by the tip of my nose and finally on the lips. Each kiss sent a spark racing across my skin and I for a moment it felt like we were alone.
Then I heard Tom call out from just outside the cave opening, "Come on lovebirds." As we exited, I felt the sun warm my skin and took in the horrid smell of burning zombie flesh. The night was over, and another day had begun. I suddenly remembered that we were kind of on a schedule with the whole 'saving the world thing'.
We were about to rush off to the small town that lay above Atlantis to see if out horses were okay when I realised that Sera wasn't with us.
I jogged back over to the cave and found her on the edge of the cave, just far enough back that the sunlight couldn't reach her.
"Are you coming Sera? It won't be easy, and I can't guarantee your safety. If you wish you could try to catch up with the others who are heading back to Cubeolot, I wouldn't mind. I get it if fighting isn't your strong point…"
"Duck!" She suddenly yelled and I crouched down to the floor just in time to dodge the dagger that flew straight over my head and into the eye of the creeper who I hadn't even noticed sneak up behind me. It then flew back into her hand as the creeper turned to dust.
"Looks like you're fine as far as fighting goes. Do you mind if I have a look?" I asked and she offered the dagger out to me.
It had an iron body and a sharp diamond edge. The handle looked to be made of obsidian wrapped with black dyed leather. All along both sides of the blade were ancient ruins of enchantment, which caused the weapon to glow purple with power.
"It's very beautiful, a speciality of your city?"
She nodded again.
"So will you come with us?" I asked finally.
After a tense moment of thought, she nodded her head and I heard a very faint "Yes."
"Let's go then. If your skin colour is anything to go by, you look like you could use some vitamin D. How many times have you been to the surface before?"
"Thrice," she said quietly, holding up three fingers.
"Wow, that's not very often. Well, you're in for a whole lot of adventure with us. Soon it'll be hard to get you to stop talking," I smiled kindly and lead her to the others.
We had managed to find the town, nicknamed Mix-up by the inhabitants of Atlantis, surprisingly in one piece. There had been a few Atlantians there whom we directed towards Cubeolot. Alyssia and Death were both faithfully waiting where we left them and with all our rides present we threw the ender eye back up in the air and set off, playing games and telling Sera about ourselves as we went. Rose, Nate and I were all deep in discussion when suddenly Tom spoke in a somewhat alarmed voice, "I know that the medical uses of flowers is an intriguing topic, but you guys might wanna look at this."
A/N:
Hello my dearest readers!
I'm sorry this took so long to update, it's the end of semester and assignments and exams are flying all over the place. Thank goodness I only have two exams to go! But hey, it's a longer chapter than usual so that's a bonus! *Sprinkles readers with thank you cookies*
As I was writing this, I knew where I wanted to end it, but it wasn't until I was like 2000 words in (my minimum word count aim for each chapter) and I knew how much else I needed to write that I was like 'Well, looks like they're getting another long chapter'. A lot happened, so I hope you enjoyed it.
What do you think of Sera? She is the first O/C that I didn't create myself: When I was writing the draft of this chapter about a year ago (or longer ago, idk anymore), I asked my real-life best friend (who hasn't read this yet) to create a character. Therefore, I'm not going to count her as an official O/C of you readers, but she I the first O/C who isn't created by my brain. (P.S. SoulErrorArwitch, you have no idea about the plans I have for your characters *laughs evilly*)
Anyway, I mentioned the end of semester which means HOLIDAYS! Hopefully I might be able to post an extra chapter or two, but I am going away (meaning no laptop or internet) for 5 days, so that may or may not happen. I also got Skyrim, so yeah, that might be a little bit of a distraction. And I have school work over the holidays. But, fingers crossed.
What has Tom seen? Will I introduce another O/C soon? Will I start viciously killing characters that you care about? Who knows? Well I do, but hey, I'm not telling. Thank you so much for reading the latest instalment of Secrets of the Past, please favourite, follow and review! If you have any O/C's or any questions for my characters, please leave them in a review or PM them to me!
See you in the next chapter!
~Lark~
