Great Witches and Wizards:
Prompt: Dance
The great hall was filled with almost everybody in the school, or so Rose felt like. She chewed on her bottom lip as she lined the outside perimeter watching everyone else dance.
"Rose?" Blinking, she looked up to see Scorpius coming over to her.
She offered him a small smile as she waved her hand. "Hey, I didn't know you were coming."
"Well, I mean, yeah, isn't almost everyone here?"
She giggled as she looked out over the crowd of people. She noticed her cousins and other students were dancing and having fun. "I mean, it sure seems like it."
Scorpius smiled as he nodded his head. "Hey, Rose? Do you wanna dance?"
"What?"
"I mean that's what everyone's doing. That's what this is right, a school dance?"
Heat rose to her cheeks as she looked away, poking at the floor with the edge of her shoes. "I mean, yeah, it sounds nice but you should probably find someone else to dance with."
"What? Why?"
"I don't dance."
"Don't or can't?"
"Both."
Scorpius laughed as he took her hand and started pulling her to the dance floor. "That's okay, neither can I but at least we can be horrible dancers in front of each other."
Rose smiled as she laughed, following Scorpius to the dance floor.
