Dear Animal lovers,
Candy people were in a panic, screaming, hiding, literally exploding sometimes. The sound of an ancient voice roared as it banged on the Grid-faced Princess's barrier. The giant Gumball warriors that would protect the Candy Kingdom were both disarmed and laying uselessly outside the castle grounds. Princess Bubblegum and the boys were on top of the giant wall surrounding the kingdom. Most likely trying to come up with a plan to defeat this Maja witch person and her monster, Darren.
Because of my ankle I couldn't be any use in the battle field or with holding any kind of weapon. Princess Bubblegum put me in charge of crowd control and getting everyone into the Candy Castle and into the underground safety chambers.
"EVERYBODY, TO THE CASTLE! COME ON! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!" I yelled to the masses.
Hobbling onto my crutch I checked to make sure nobody was left behind. I picked up hobos off the street pushing them to the castle, I checked to make sure the children were out of the playgrounds, the old folk were being helped and I tried to keep everyone as calm as I could so there weren't so many blown up people. When I was sure that most of the population of the Candy Kingdom was at the castle, that was when crud got real.
The crystal clear blue sky turned into a sickly greenish brow color of swirling clouds. Giant eggs fell from the eye of the twisted looking clouds. They hit the ground with such force that I was shaken from were I stood. I was at the base of the castle stairs when I heard the eggs break open. I quickly started ushering the last bit of stragglers into the castle.
Before I shut the door I saw PB fly into battle on her mighty duck thing. Mentally I wished her the best of luck. Once everyone was in the main hall of the castle I tottered over to the stairs and limped up them a bit so everyone could hear and see me. The castle shook from the battle raging outside.
"ALRIGHT EVERYBODY! JUST FOLLOW ME!" I shouted to them as I grabbed the map P-Bubs gave to me, from my backpack.
Finally, everyone was in the safety chambers. There was the occasional ceiling shake. Then we heard really intense gun firing. I think... After that there was this thing where I heard what sounded like a really faint elephant trumpet. I wasn't too sure at the time because everything was pretty much muffled except for the vibrations we felt from what ever was going on up there.
The battle was relatively short. It was still terrifying, the people were still sad from the loss of their fellow candy people from panic and emotionally it felt a lot longer than it really was. Though really, a little bit after that supposed elephant trumpet the battle seemed to be over. It wasn't official until Princess Bubblegum, herself came down to the chambers telling them the great news.
"OKAY EVERYBODY, IT'S SAFE TO GO HOME KNOW! THERE WILL BE A PARTY LATER TONIGHT TO CELEBRATE ARE VICTORY!" She informed the crowd.
With a cheer everybody got out of there in a blink of an eye. When I stood back up from sitting down for a while everybody was pretty much gone. PB came over to me to give me a hand.
"Sooooo, how did you do it?" I asked smiling.
"It wasn't me, it was Finn and Jake. They used their War Elephant to defeat Darren and Maja."
I gasped, "Coooooool. I thought I heard an elephant. I wish I was there to see it."
"Yah, it was one of those, have-to-be-there-to-understand-things. Thanks for helping me take care of my people," she said while pulling me up to full hight.
"Meh, it's no big deal," I said nonchalantly.
She smiled.
"Do I need to bring anything for the party," I asked.
"I have Finn and Jake bring the guac, so you're good," PB answered as we went up and out of the chambers.
I squinted into the sun light as we walked out of the castle. Everything looked okay again. The Gumball giants were functional and blowing their bubbles. Some Candy people must of came back to life because there were a small group of people getting hugged by everyone else. There was also relatively very little damage to the city. Just some crack here or there.
"Hey, Crystal!" Jake shouted.
I looked up suddenly to see Finn and Jake riding the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant.
"Hey guys!" I called back.
"Come on, let's get back home," Finn yelled to me while lowering the elephant for me to climb up.
I limped over to the ladder like leg of the elephant. I stepped on the ladder with my good leg and wrapped my arm around a bar. I didn't feel like climbing up it. I waved good bye to Princess Bubblegum with my crutch in hand.
"We'll see you later tonight P-Bubs," Finn called as we flew away.
I was laying in bed. Freshly bathed and clothed, resting up for the party. I listened to the war elephant and Finn talking. I got up and looked through my window to see the two headed elephant fling away. Grabbing my crutch I hobbled down the stairs to see Jake playing B-MO on the couch and Finn stirring the guacamole in the kitchen.
"Oh, good. Crystal could you chop up some tomatoes?" Finn asked of me.
"Sure," I said limping over.
"So, where did the elephant guy go to?" I asked while I leaned my crutch on the counter and started chopping up the tomatoes.
"Not sure. I just set him free a couple of minutes ago," Finn answered with a shrug.
"... Oh? Well then, good for him," I said feeling confused.
(I always thought he just chose to be here himself.)
"Are we ready to go yet?" Jake asked from the couch.
"Yah, we're ready to go," Finn replied.
"Great! Lets go," Jake said rushing over to a window and jumping out of it.
I chuckled, "He's so excited he couldn't use the front door."
I've never been to a "wild" candy kingdom party before. My first impression of their type of party was when they had that masquerade ball and it was all formal. This was pretty normal. In a sense. There were no decorations like last time but there were still a lot of people there. The rooms were as massive as ever and there was a little stage with a karaoke machine, a snack table, and plenty of places to sit.
It looked like a large slumber party. Some people were playing board games. There was one group in a circle spinning a bottle. I saw two people get shoved into a closet for some reason. Most of the people were just sitting or standing around talking. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere.
"Hey look, Lady is here," Finn said, pointing to a group of board gamers.
"Well, I know what I'm going to do. See you guys around. I'm going to hang out with my lady," Jake stated while walking toward his girlfriend.
"So Crystal, you want to play spin the bottle?"
"What's spin the- Oh! No, no thank you. I'm good," I said backing up a bit.
"Suit yourself. He guys I want to play," he yelled at the group with the bottle.
I may not of known what spin the bottle is completely, but I saw that two Candy people were making out. I'm not completely comfortable with the whole kissing a stranger thing. Unless it's for a quest or something important like that. Besides I have a boyfriend, he was the only one I plan on kissing. Anyway I decided to hit the snack bar and get something to eat. I staggered over to the long brown table filled with food and set the guacamole by a big bowl of chips. Then I dug in.
As I made my way to an empty table I heard the stage getting set up. Looking up I saw Marceline and Princess Bubblegum setting themselves up on stage. Excitedly I rushed as carefully as I could. I hadn't seen them sing together before so this was going to be a real treat for me. I took my seat just as they were about to start.
"ARE YOU READY!" Princess Bubblegum shouted to the gathering crowd.
The candy crowd responded with a loud cheer.
"Hit it PB," Marceline said while smiling her fanged smile.
With a nod P-Bubs started turning dials and pushing buttons on this small gray machine that she had set up near the back of the stage; a microphone was set up beside her. Once she was done a sort of techno music started playing through the little speakers on the stage. Marceline was front and center of the stage, holding her blood red ax bass.
I smiled as it played. This must be part of PB's plan of music, is what I was thinking at the time. Then they started to sing.

Suddenly I saw Finn jump up there. The rapping king himself. I cheered him on as the crowd went crazy. Everyone was dancing and having a good time. Then the lights went out. It didn't damper the mood because I saw that there were light effects going on, on stage. I looked around to see Jake and Lady Rainicorn doing the awesome light show as Finn rapped.

Once he was done Finn jumped off the stage, but boy did the crowd go wild.
PB: He's c-cold as ice

There was a moment of silence as the music faded away, but then the entire building was shaking from the cheers of the candy people. I couldn't even hear my own cheering. Together Marcy and PB bowed to the crowd together. The lights went back to normal.
"Hey Crystal!" Finn shouted running towards me.
"What!"
"What did you think?" Finn asked stopping in front of me.
"You were Mathematical," I complemented using his catch phrase.
"Woooooh! Mathematical!" he yelled, then we gave each other a high-five and after that Finn ran off to do who knows what.
I sat at the table for a while keeping my leg elevated and watching everyone milling about.
"What's up Crystal?"
I looked up to see that the Vampire Queen was flouting above me.
"Apparently you are Marcy," I answered while smiling.
Marceline chuckled and flouted in front of me, looking like she was sitting in an invisible chair, "So what happened to that leg of yours?"
"Oh nothing special. Stepped on a rock and twisted my ankle so much that the bone broke."
"That sucks."
"Yah, but it's okay."
"What do you plan on doing here?"
"I'm not sure. I can't rightly dance, I'm not sure what game I should play, and I don't really feel like singing yet after that amazing performance."
"Yah, we were pretty amazing," Marceline boasted.
I rolled my eyes, "How are you doing? Have you preformed any concerts lately?"
"I'm cool and no I haven't done any performances lately. Though I have my eye on this wickedly cool bass guitar, but it's so expensive that I'm not sure how I'm going to get it.
"Hmmm," I hummed sympathetically, "Well good luck with that."
There was a pause in the conversation.
"Hey, I just thought up something that you could do. Come on."
I quickly grabbed my crutch as Marceline lifted me up by the pits of my arms and flew us over the crowded party.
Two Candy people were walking down from the bathrooms. One was a cupcake-man with buff arms, the other was a green lollypop girl. Just as they were about to walk into the party area the girl stepped on a tripwire. Suddenly a wall of water landed on the two and soaked them to the bone. Their startled screams attracted the attention of some of the party guests. The sight of the wet couple made the party goers laugh, covering the snickering of me and Marceline. We silently high-fived each other and got away from the scene of the crime.
"Hahahahaha! That was great," Marceline said while laughing.
I chuckled, "Yah, I guess. I still don't feel too comfortable with this pranking spree, but it is fun."
"Yah it is! Alright, who should we prank next?"
We looked through the crowd. Then I saw that people were still going into the closet.
"Hey why are people still going into the closet over there," I asked pointing to what I saw.
"... Oh. You mean the Seven Minutes in Heaven game? It's another version of spin the bottle. Instead of just making out in front of people, they go into the closet to make out, more or less."
I smiled mischievously, "Lets rig it."
Marceline chuckled darkly, "I like the way you think kid."
About ten minutes later screaming could be heard behind the locked door of the closet. (Apparently locking the door to the closet is part of the game.) Marceline put a skeleton minion in the closet and ordered it to try and make out with who ever entered the closet. Everybody was freaking out and instantly opened the door. The couple ran out screaming as the skeleton chased after them. It ran only about two feet before breaking apart and turning into dust.
"I think that was pushing it a bit," I said nervously.
"What are you talking about, that was awesome," Marceline stated.
"Well I don't want anybody exploding."
"Hmmm. Good point. So who should be are next victim?"
"Crystal! Marceline! What do you think you are doing?"
We turned around to see Princess Bubblegum storming up to us, obviously angry.
"What's up, PB?" Marceline greeted.
"What's up? What's up is that you guys are pranking my people," The Pink Princess exclaimed.
"How did you know it was us?" I asked not exactly surprised that she figured it out.
Marcy face palmed.
"Because you two were acting suspicious and what you just said has confirmed it for me," Princess Bubblegum answered; crossing her arms and tapping her foot.
"Oh," I said simply while averting my eyes from PB's.
The tapping persisted as Princess Bubblegum gave us the stink eye.
Marceline sighed, "Alright already. We'll stop."
"I'm sorry," I said hoping it would help.
The Pink Princess stopped her tapping and smiled, "Thank you. You two enjoy the party now."
Then she turned and left.
"I think I'll go and sing now," I said turning to Marcy.
"You do that. See you around kid."
I hobbled across the stage to the karaoke machine. Then I searched through the list of songs that I could sing on it. After awhile I had found the perfect song.
It started showing the lyrics to the song as the music started to play, but I barely looked at it; knowing the song so well.

At this point of the song I was sort of trying to dance. It was a really good song, everybody was dancing and enjoying themselves. I wanted to be able to dance too but I could only manage swaying to the song a bit.

I finished the song by dropping the microphone on the floor while the music faded. Then I thrusted my fist into the air. The crowd cheered and clapped.
"Wooooooh! Yaaaaaaaah!" Shouted a familiar blue faced man.
The Ice King flew in through one of the always open windows of the Candy Castle. Under his arm he had his penguin, (I think his name is Gunter) and landed on the stage beside me. I backed up a bit.
"Wooh girl! That was amazing," The Ice King complemented while putting down Gunter and then taking my hand, shaking it.
I looked around. Every one was in mute horror not sure what the Ice King was going to do. I watched as Gunter waddled off the stage and went over to the snack table. Out of his beard, the Ice King, pulled a cassette tape. Then he put it in the karaoke machine.
"Alright lets get this party started! Wooh!" he yelled excitedly while picking up the microphone.
Music started to play and Ice King was clapping his hands over his head enthusiastically, oblivious to the crowds mood.

Then he shoved the microphone in my face.

Again she shoved it in my face. Visibly I sighed at what Ice King was trying to do. Then I looked around at the crowd, most of them were still in mute horror but I saw Finn and Jake approaching the stage with some Banana guards. I sighed again and made my choice.

The boys froze as I sang along with the Ice King. They looked at me questioningly. I shook my head at them slightly and discreetly motioned them to sit down. They shrugged and complied.

As the music faded the party was still silent. I stood there awkwardly wondering what will happen next. Ice King was breathing heavily and looking around expectingly. Then amazingly I hear a single slow clap. It was Finn, everybody turned towards him. Next Jake started clapping, followed by Lady Rainicorn, Marceline and so on and so forth. Soon the castle was a roar with clapping and some people shouting positive things. Ice King wrapped an arm around my shoulders, jostling me a bit, and raised the mic into the air.
"Great job Crystal. You were a little late in the beginning and your enthusiasm was lacking a bit compared to last time. Other than that you were great," Ice King stated.
"Wow. Thanks," I said dryly then I took his arm off of my shoulders, "Well, enjoy the party Ice King."
"Yah, you too babe!"
I hobble off of the stage as the Ice King jumped off to join the masses. The crowd parted and went back to their games or food or anything else they might want to do at night. The boys walked up to me.
"You looked like you were in pain the whole time you were up there," Jake proclaimed while chuckling a bit.
"Yah, why didn't you let us take him down for crashing the party," Finn asked.
I sighed, "Because even though I really don't like the guy there's just something about the creepy old man than makes me have sympathy for him."
"Then you must be sensing Simon," Finn suggested.
"Who's Simon?" I questioned.
"The Ice King, that's his real name," Jake answered.
"That crown the Ice King is wearing put a curse on Simon and turned him into a mad man that we know as the Ice King," Finn informed.
"That's sad," I said crestfallen.
"Hey but don't worry about it," Jake reassured, "Simon's girlfriend is looking for a loophole for him to be able to live but live without the madness."
"Okay."
"Now come on, lets play Jenga or monopoly," Finn said while running over to one of the groups playing board games.
All night we staid at the party; Ice King rarely caused any trouble (Marceline keeping tabs on him and stuff like that), everybody was having fun, and I woke up this morning in a sleep pile on the floor of the castle with Lady, Finn, and Jake.
I'm sore and I'm tired, but last night was a blast.
