Authors note: Hey there Road Trip so this new chapter is a little shorter than the last one but I wanted to get this one published and sent to you all before I got busy with work this week. I want to thank everyone for their kind words in regards to Bump. Road Trip is the sequel to Bump and will focus on Paige and Mike as a couple as they get to know each other will as they cruise up the California coastline. There will be comedy, action, suspense and of course romance. So I hope you all enjoy. I'm sorry for the typos and bad grammar I will work on and Paige as they continue their road trip up north. Now they have a new friend in Roadie. This is chapter is short spry for that but this part of the story will involve our awesome duo having a little fun and cutting loose. What adventures are in store for Graceland's best couple let's find out.

The sound of the lawn mower and leaf blower woke Mike and Paige from their slumber. Mike rose up moaned in frustration while rubbing his hand across his face. Paige grabbed Mike's pillow and tossed it across the room. When he looked over and saw it was almost 10:30 he was actually glad for the wake up. Mike leaned down kissing the back on Paige's neck to encourage her to wake up. As usual Paige was resistant and placed her head under the remaining pillow. Mike then began to trace his fingers up and down her body. "Mike don't you dare" Paige said her head still buried under the pillow. Mike ignored her threat and proceeded to tickle her. Paige's body went wild limbs flying all over the place as Mike attacked her body. "Mike stop you're going to make me pee my pants" Paige screamed in between her laughter. All the commotion freaked Roadie out as he jumped off the bed hiding in a corner as the two love birds continued their fun fight.
"If that gets you out of bed then so be it" said Mike as he continued on with his assault. Unable to hold on any longer Paige went limp slapping on the bed indicating her defeat. Mike smiled and let Paige go as she jumped up and raced to the bathroom. Mike looked at Roadie tapped on the bed giving him the ok to climb back in. Mike close his eyes enjoying his small victory when all of a sudden he felt ice cold water hit his face. The cold water caused Mike to fly out of bed tripping over his shoes in the process. Paige with a large empty glass in hand laughed as Mike's body made a loud thud on the floor. Mike looked up to see her standing right next to him. "I warned you no to tickle me" she said before grabbing her bag and heading back to the bathroom. Mike got up off the floor drenched in water as he looked himself in the mirror he knew he had it coming.
The two packed up quickly and made their way down the hall to find Molly and James sitting on their couch talking quietly as movie played on in the background. Once they made their presence known the young couple stopped their conversation and Molly sprang up from the couch to greet them. "Morning you two I wasn't sure what you liked so I got you the same thing as us. Nothing beats a hangover than a greasy breakfast burrito." She said in a shaky voice.
Mike and Paige sat down on the other couch feeling a small tension in the room. "Is everything ok?" Mike asked. Molly and James looked at each other then at Mike and Paige. "We know who you are" James answered. "What are you talking about?" Paige asked confused.
"Before I went to bed I posted pictures from the party that molly and I took on my Facebook page nothing scandalous but just a few fun ones. Some of the photos had you two in them. Again they were not bad just group shots and pictures of Paige and Molly and you and me. Well this morning I got a call from my Uncle Peter you know him as Director Silvo." Mike and Paige's faces turned white of all the people they meet on their road trip they have to party with Mike's bosses nephew.
"He saw the photos and asked me to delete them and he wants Mike to call him." Paige looked at Mike, "You better…" Mike nodded and stood up to leave. As Mike left Molly sat next to Paige, "We're really sorry Paige if we had any idea I wouldn't have…" Paige placed her hand up, "Molly it wasn't your fault. Mike and I should have been more careful. We should be the ones apologizing to you for lying to you but we can't tell people what we do without people asking too many questions."
Molly and James nodded their heads in agreement. "So we're good?" Molly asked. "Yeah Molly we're good." Just then Mike came back in with a look on his face Paige couldn't read.
"So yeah were fired." Mike said with a straight faced look
"WHAT!" The three of them yelled
Mike couldn't hold the faceless expression for long as a smile crept on his face. "OH YOU SON OF A" Paige screamed as she grabbed James's glass of water and threw it in Mike's face. Mike looked at Paige, "Feel better?"
"Yeah I do"
Molly and James couldn't help but laugh. "And you two are undercover agents?" Molly asked between chuckles. "I'll have you know we are very professional and some of the best in are work." Paige answered. "If you two are the best then we're screwed." James said. In less than five minutes the feel of the room went from dread to playful laughter.
"So what did Silva say?"
"He asked us if we had a good time."
"Really?"
"Yeah but it was in that tone that you get from your parents after you did something you shouldn't be doing. I tried to apologize but he cut me off saying the pictures were not that bad but warned us to be smarter."
"That's it? No suspension? He basically just said don't do it again?"
"I was surprised all I said was yes sir and that was it. I think he likes us."
"That's saying something he usually hates everybody." James added
"Well now that everything is fine let's eat" said Molly in a cheerful voice. The burrito hit the spot as now both had more energy and were ready to continue their trip. Molly gave Paige a big hug, "Are you sure you can't stay we can go to the beach and we can go dancing again. Drive the boys crazy?"
"As tempting as that sounds I think Mike and I need some alone time but you have my cell call me anytime and please stay in touch" Paige said as she gave Molly another hug. Molly and James watched as they drove off.
As they headed up highway one Paige received a text from Molly with all the pictures from last night. Paige smiled as small tear went down her face as looked at the photos.
"You really liked her didn't you?"
"We got to talk and connect. It was nice to have a girl to chat with and feel normal."
"Like how it was with Sara or when you're with Charlie?"
"No it was different. Molly reminded me of my sisters. I got to be goofy and for a second I forgot what I do and it was nice. It also made me realize how much I miss them."
"Paige if you miss them why don't we invite them to meet us in Carmel?"
"I already asked but they're busy this week and besides I don't want to bring you around my family just yet. Don't take it the wrong way but my family is crazy and will put on the full court press since you would be the first guy I brought home since.."
"Since who?" Mike asked
"No one it was just some stupid boy." Mike noticed that Paige rubbed the ring on her thumb back and forth. As curious as he was Mike knew not to press the question. When Paige was ready to talk he would be there. They sat in silence for a bit as they looked at the coast line. As they passed San Simeon on the way to Hearst Castle Paige tilted her head, her eyes went wide. "Mike pull over now!"
"What's wrong? Did we forget something? Oh no we forgot Roadie!"
"No he's in the back look out the window!" As Mike looked his jaw dropped. He jumped out of the car, Paige right behind him as they looked at the Zebras grazing the pasture.
"Paige those are Zebra's"
"I know"
"Zebras Paige"
"I know"
The two watched as the beautiful creatures just walked along. Mike couldn't believe what he was seeing he had to get a closer look. As Mike climbed over the steel gate Paige could only watched as her boyfriend was about to add trespass to his resume. As he got over he held his hand to Paige, "You coming?" Paige smiled and followed suit they crept up slowly to them but all started to run off except for one. As they got closer the Zebra walked towards them, Mike reached out his hand and the zebra allowed Mike to pet her. She wasn't afraid of Mike's touch which amazed both him and Paige. He waved Paige over as she nervously placed her hand on the gentle creatures back.
"Mike this is unreal. This is something you could possibly do in Africa not on the Central Coast of California."
"But yet here we are doing just that."
"No one is ever going to believe us."
"Who cares we're hanging out with Zebras! On the fucking beach!" They stood there in silence for a few minutes as they petted the Zebra. A small branch Paige stepped on spooked the Zebra and she ran off. The stood there for another minute before returning to their car neither on said a word both were still in awe from what they just experienced.
