Remember, reviews = inspiration! (Ps thanks to everyone who does review! 3 you guys!)
Emily concentrated her energy and sensed where her she needed to go. She knew Scott and Derek would need her help with the Darach and Deucalion. With her eyes still radiating with power, she felt her body leave the house.
When she reappeared, she realized she was outside of the warehouse when she found herself staring at the spiral etched into the wall. By now, the sun had disappeared from the sky and there was a storm raging on. She heard struggling and yelling from inside and took off towards the sound.
As she threw open the doors, she watched as Deucalion ordered Scott to kill Jennifer. He let out a mighty roar and Scott fell to her knees. His demonic voice was telling Scott that the people he loved were dying.
"They're not dead yet" Scott said with defiance.
"And who's going to save them? Your friends?" Deucalion mocked. Scott got to his feet as his eyes started to glow.
"My pack" he said. Emily took that as her cue and ran forward as she saw Deucalion grab Scott by the neck and drag him over to Jennifer.
"No!" she yelled as she flung her arm and threw Deucalion off of Scott. He was up on his feet in a second and glared at Emily as she stood next to Scott.
"And what do you think you can do, little girl? You think you can beat me? You've already lost once before."
"Maybe I'm not that same person" Emily spat. She looked down Scott's hand. He was clutching something tight in his fingers. She took a step towards Derek as she saw him struggling to get up. Emily placed herself protectively between Deucalion and Derek.
"I forgot to tell you something. Something that Gerard told me. Deucalion isn't always blind."
With that, Scott threw the flash bulbs on the floor and they exploded in a sea of light. Emily pulled Derek's face to her to block his eyes from the intense light. She knew he and Scott would be much more affected than her. As the light died down, she let her eyes readjust and the boys were still flailing around in confusion. Emily got to her feet and noticed that Deucalion, Scott, and Derek were all in human form. That meant one thing – the eclipse had started.
They looked around and Jennifer was nowhere to be found. They all looked towards the open door and realized she was gone.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the fog outside. It was Jennifer in her Darach form. She grabbed Scott by the collar and flung him into a pillar. When she moved towards Emily, she gave her a wicked grin. Before the Darach could make a move, Emily grabbed her jacket and pushed her against the wall.
"I'm going to give you one last chance to end this. Leave, now" she said through gritted teeth. The Darach's mangled face laughed as she grabbed Emily and spun so she was against the wall. The blow knocked the wind out of her slightly but she still looked up with defiance.
"You can't beat me, you know. You don't have the power."
"You'd be surprised just how powerful I am" Emily spat.
"What, the power that gave you this, time after time?" the Darach taunted as she plunged her sharp nail deep into the crevice of Emily's scar. Emily let out a strangled gasp as the Darach continued to follow the scar, layer after layer until she reached the center. Emily's vision went white for a moment as the blood started to steadily run down her side. She ground her teeth together as she looked up into the eyes of the Darach. Ghostly white met shining silver.
"No, my own power!" Emily threw her arms in front of her and let out a blast of power that knocked the Darach all the way across the warehouse. The eyes of the three werewolves widened in shock as Emily reigned her power back in. Emily clutched her side as she started to make her way back to the others. Deucalion saw his chance and went for the Darach, but she was too quick for him.
When he went to swing at her, she grabbed him around the throat and threw him to the ground. She grabbed his hair and started to beat Deucalion's head against the concrete until he was lying in a puddle of his own blood. Emily limped over to Scott who gave her a worried look as Derek stepped towards the Darach.
"Jennifer!" She turned to look at him as Deucalion tried to regain his barings. "He doesn't know."
"Know what?" she said in a demonic voice.
"He doesn't know what you look like. He knew the cost of bringing Kali into his pack, but he doesn't know the price you paid." Emily had no idea what he was getting at, but she was thankful for the distraction as she tried to regain her strength.
"No, no he doesn't." The Darach placed her hand against Deucalion's eyes. His screams erupted as he withered under her grasp. When she pulled her hand away, he looked around frantically as he used his eyes for the first time in so long.
"Turn to me. Turn to me!" she yelled as his terrified face looked to the Darach. But in its place was her human form. As she rose her hand to strike him, she halted and fell backwards into Derek's arms.
"What is this?"
"Healing him made you weak, just as healing Cora did to me. You won't have your strength for at least a few minutes" Derek explained while he was still supporting her weight.
"Then you do it. Kill him" Jennifer begged as she looked up into his eyes.
"No" he spat.
"What?"
"Just as my mother used to tell me, I'm a predator. I don't have to be a killer. Now let them go" he demanded. Her desperate eyes turned malicious as she pushed him off of her. He fell to the ground and refused to look at her face.
"Derek" Jennifer said sadly. Derek continued to stare at the floor as she turned her back on him.
Derek got to his feet, but before he could make a move, she grabbed him and pushed him up against the wall. She continued to beat him as hard as she could into the wall as his eyes clenched and he ground his teeth.
Emily ran up and ripped Jennifer off of Derek. Emily threw her a few feet back and positioned herself between the two. Derek fell to his knees as he tried to catch his breath. Jennifer stood straight and laughed maniacally.
"Okay, you really think you can take me? Go ahead and try."
Emily jumped up and spun into a kick. She channeled her power into the kick as her foot came across Jennifer's face. She was thrown back a few feet but stayed standing. Emily continued to throw blow after blow until Jennifer was finally knocked onto her back.
"There is one thing that you can't fight. All those people you killed felt pain until their last shuttering breath. And it was all inflicted by you. It was your fault. It's time you paid for that" Emily seethed as her eyes shown brighter than they ever had. She placed a hand on Jennifer's forehead and one over her heart.
Emily allowed the power to flow through her as she channeled the pain from every one of Jennifer's victims. Jennifer's memories were filled with the horrors she committed, and through them, Emily found the torture they were put through.
Jennifer let out screams of all the victims who weren't able to do it themselves. She screamed and screamed until she just let out silent sobs. As Emily took her hands away, Jennifer looked up into her silver eyes.
"Is this what you feel all the time?" Jennifer asked with a hoarse whisper. Emily's only response was a single nod. "Then maybe you are stronger than I gave you credit for."
Emily turned her back and walked to stand beside Scott and Derek. Jennifer struggled to her feet and stumbled towards them.
"There is no doubt you have the power, Emily. But that doesn't mean you don't have the weakness, too."
With that, Jennifer lunged at Derek, but before she could make contact, Emily flung herself in her path. She was distracted by Derek's cry for her to stop as Jennifer grabbed Emily's arm and wrenched it behind her back. She let out a gasp as she felt it start to pop. Jennifer spun her around and threw her with all her might against the wall.
Emily struggled to get up as spots danced across her vision. Every time she tried to pick her head up, her world tilted violently. The impact against the wall caused her side to start bleeding again. All she could do was lay on the ground and watch as Jennifer pushed Scott and Derek against the wall by their throats.
"You see, the problem with Emily is that she can't bear to see the ones she loves get hurt. She would rather get herself killed that watch them die. Just because she doesn't have her curse doesn't mean she doesn't have the urge to protect."
Jennifer looked over her shoulder at Emily who was still struggling to get up. Derek and Scott looked past Jennifer to Emily with pained expressions on their faces. They knew it was true. Them, Stiles, Lydia, Isaac, Allison, even their parents were Emily's weaknesses. She always thought she wasn't strong because she would get hurt. But the truth was, she was only ever protecting them.
And Emily knew it was true, too. And as she made the same realization, her world faded to black.

The fighting continued as Emily's body lay motionless on the floor. Suddenly, Derek's eyes shown bright blue as he bared his teeth.
"It looks like your 15 minutes are up" he growled at Jennifer. Scott and Derek each grabbed one of her arms and pushed her off of them.
She quickly regained her footing as she threw mountain ash up into the air. The spelled powder formed a protective ring around her as she smirked from the inside.
"Like I said, Derek, it was either you or the parents. I guess I'll just have to take them now. Then I won't need a lunar eclipse even to kill a demonwolf" she taunted as she looked at Scott. Anger flashed through his eyes as he took a step toward the ring.
He placed his hands flat against the barrier and started to struggle against it. But he was determined to get through.
"You've tried this before, Scott. I don't remember you having much success." Thunder rumbled as Scott continued to push through the barrier. White light shown all around him while the look of determination never left his eyes. He let out soft grunts as he continued to push his way though.
Emily's eyes shot open at the feeling of intense power. She struggled to get up against the throbbing in her head. She stumbled over to the others and braced herself against Derek. He held his arm around her waist as she clutched her side.
"Are you okay?" he whispered. Her only response was her eyes sliding sideways to look at him before directing her gaze back at Scott. It was all she could manage at the moment.
Suddenly his golden eyes started to change as a bright red took over. With one final push, a clap of thunder sounded and the barrier shattered. Jennifer was thrown off her feet and she looked up at him in shock.
"How did you do that?" she gasped. Scott turned his face to her as he took a step into the broken ring.
"I'm an alpha now" he said with power in his voice. "Whatever you're doing to cause the storm, stop, or I'll kill you myself. And I don't care what it does to the color of my eyes."
Deucalion got to his feet and stepped around Scott.
"It won't change the color of mine, so allow me!" he yelled. Deucalion pulled his hand back and raked his claws across Jennifer's throat. She let out a final gasp as she fell back. When she landed against the ground, she flashed back into her Darach form as her dead eyes stared at nothing.
Suddenly, the thunder shuddered to a stop and the wind died down. Everyone let out a brief sigh of relief.
"So, Emililena. Care to have a go at me? I feel it would be an extremely entertaining fight. And I would assume you have some intensely pent up feelings against me so here's your chance to let them out" Deucalion taunted. Emily glared at him as she took a step forward, ignoring Scott's and Derek's protests.
Emily stood right in front of him. Before he could even react, she grabbed him around the throat and threw him flat on his back. Her eyes blazed as she leaned in towards him.
"I'm going to tell you this once. I am no longer angry and you can't use that against me anymore. Someone very wise told me that sometimes revenge is better if it is simply let go. I'm not saying I forgive you for everything you've done. But I'm done dealing with you" she said in a calm voice. She got up with a wince and took a step back until she was between Scott and Derek.
"My mother told me you were a man of vision once. We're letting you go because we hope you can be that man again" Derek spoke.
"But if you aren't, then having your eyesight won't matter. Because you'll never see us coming" Scott threatened.
"And you can count on that" Emily finished.
Deucalion nodded before turning and walking out the door. Emily briefly wondered if he had realized the gift they had just given him. She wondered if he would take it for granted. But her thoughts were quickly interrupted as Scott's phone rang. She listened in on the conversation as soon as she realized it was Stiles.
"Scott?"
"Yeah, Stiles. Are you guy's okay?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, yeah. We're fine. What about you guys?"
"We're good. Well, for the most part" Scott said as he glanced at Emily. She gave a frantic shake of her head, pleading Scott not to tell Stiles she was hurt. He pursed his lips but gave her a nod.
"Good. Listen, can you come get us?"
"Yeah, of course" Scott said with a chuckle.
"Okay, and Scott? Um bring a ladder."
Emily rolled her eyes at Stiles' comment as Scott clicked his phone off. He scanned his eyes over Emily as he accounted for every injury. When he met her eyes, they were filled with guilt and concern.
"Oh, shut up" she mumbled as she tugged at her clothes as if it would help hide her appearance.
"I didn't say a word" Scott defended with a grin.
"Yeah, but you were thinking it."
"Enough" Derek said. "Em, I'm going to take you to Deaton. Scott, you go get Stiles and the others."
"You better watch yourself, Derek. I don't think you're the ones to be giving orders anymore" Emily said. He glanced down at her and rolled his eyes.
"Would you just come on?" he asked as he pulled one of her arms around his shoulders so she could use him as support. He gently wrapped his arm around her waist, careful not to hit her bleeding scar.
"You're so bossy" Emily said under her breath, but Derek's hearing picked it up. All he did was smirk and pull her along towards the door.

When Derek and Emily got to the clinic, the bell above the door chimed. Derek helped Emily as she limped over towards the gate. She opened it and they crossed the threshold. Deaton, Lydia, Cora, Ethan, and Aiden hurried through the door at the sound.
When they all laid eyes on them, they couldn't help but gasp. Derek's clothes were all torn up and there was blood on his face. But the most horrible sight was Emily. Still being supported by Derek, there was exhaustion written all over her face. Her clothes were completely soaked in her blood and bruises colored all visible skin.
"Holy shit" Ethan let out as he rushed over and ducked under her other arm. When he straightened up, her entire weight was supported by Derek and Ethan and her toes barely brushed the floor.
"Really? Come on this is humiliating" Emily complained as they carried her to the back room.
"Would you just shut up and let us take care of you? Especially since you got so hurt protecting me and Scott" Derek said in a no-nonsense tone.
They sat Emily up on a metal table and she hissed as the cold surface made contact on her bare skin. Derek raised an eyebrow at her as she sent him the finger.
"Okay, everyone out. I have to take a look at her injuries" Deaton ordered.
The others looked hesitant but obeyed the vet. They all sent her one last look before turning and walking out of the room.
"And Derek" Emily called after him. He paused and looked over his shoulder. "Don't tell Stiles, please? I'll talk to him after Eric patches me up." Derek looked reluctant but nodded anyway.
"So, Emily. Care to tell me what happened? Starting with where you went after you woke up and ending with why you are stumbling into my clinic bloody and bruised?" Deaton asked as he started to peal Emily's shirt away from her bloody skin.
"I went to the Hale house" Emily said as Deaton gave a final pull and she let out a gasp. "Ouch, watch it! Anyway, I knew I had to conquer what happened there before I could face my enemies. I knew I had to let things go to realize my strength." She purposefully left out the fact that she was hearing voices and seeing her dead mother. She didn't want to give him any reason to look at her differently.
"And that was it? You just went to the house and felt a sense of relief? Nothing happened?" Deaton asked doubtfully. He began to stitch her broken scar as she hissed in pain.
"That was it" Emily said evasively.
"Emily, you know you can tell me the truth."
"That is the truth!" Emily insisted as she was starting to squirm. Deaton nodded before returning to stitching her side.
"So then what happened?" he asked.
"I showed up at the warehouse and Jennifer and I fought. I had her beat at one point, but she used my weakness against me. She went after Derek and I put myself in between them. That's when I knew I was done for. But then the eclipse ended and the werewolves took over. I blacked out for a while, and when I woke up, Scott's eyes turned red. Eric, he's an alpha. A true alpha."
"I know. It was only a matter of time."
"Well, the time has come."
"So it has. I'm finished fixing you up. Change those bandages daily, and make sure you wrap those ribs. Other than that, just keep an eye on your head and stop by tomorrow and let me know how you're feeling."
"Yes, sir. Mr. doctor, sir" Emily said with a mock salute. Deaton rolled his eyes as he opened the door for her. "Alright, get out"

Derek had just dropped Emily off at the Stilinski house. He had offered for her to go home with him, but she had to see Stiles. She had to make sure he was okay.
As she walked up the sidewalk, she heard laughing from inside. Emily walked over to the window and peered inside. Sitting in the living room was Stiles and the sheriff. She gave a sad smile at the sight and knew in her heart she couldn't interrupt. No matter how much she wanted to be in his arms.
Emily turned her back and started to walk away. At the movement, Stiles turned to the window and saw Emily limp away. He was on his feet in a second and running for the door.
"Emily!" he yelled after her as he hurried down the stairs of his porch. She turned at his voice as he ran towards her. He faltered for a second when he saw her torn and bloodied clothes, but he finished crossing the distance between them and stood right in front of her.
Stiles looked down into Emily's eyes and cupped her face. His jaw clenched as he looked her up and down before pulling her into an impossibly gentle hug.
"Oh, Em" Stiles whispered into her ear. For the first time in hours, Emily allowed herself to relax into Stiles' embrace.
"Don't worry. I'm okay. I promise" she whispered back.
They stayed in each other's arms for what seemed like hours. Finally, they heard the sheriff call out to them.
"Stiles! Bring that poor girl inside before she freezes." The pair chuckled as they slowly made their way towards the house.
When she was under the light of the house, the sheriff gave an audible sigh.
"Aw, hun. You look like crap" he said with a sad smile. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder as to not hurt her further. "Thank you for everything you did tonight."
"Well, Sheriff. That's my job. I do protect people after all" she replied with a smile.
"Well, you too should get some sleep. Stiles, watch over her tonight. It's time someone protected her for once." Stiles nodded and wrapped an arm around her shoulders as he led her up to his room.
When they got to his room, he closed the door and turned to her. She started to take off her bloody clothes as he turned to his closet to find her something to wear. He handed her the clothes without looking at her and started towards the door. She placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Stiles, you don't have to leave" she whispered. He turned back to her to see her only in her bra and underwear. A sudden passion flared through him as he closed the distance and pulled her into a heated, yet gentle, kiss. He softly backed her towards the bed and lifted her carefully onto it. He started to kiss every bruise that colored her body and gave her scar feather-light touches.
Stiles moved back up to kiss her lips, but pulled away. Emily looked up at him in confusion, but he simply smiled.
"What?" she asked.
"I love you so much" he whispered to her.
"I love you, too" she whispered back.

"I honestly don't know if he's ever coming back. Part of me hopes so, but another part of me hopes he will be better somewhere else.
My dad doesn't look like he will be leaving anytime soon. But just because he's staying doesn't mean he's welcome.
Stiles and I both feel it every day. Just like you said we would. And it makes me think of that quote Jennifer used on our first day. Because, when I do feel it, "it feels like I'm looking into the heart of an immense darkness." But when I do feel it, I look for my friends.
Then there's Emily. She is still protective over us, and she and Stiles are so happy together. But there's something else. Sometimes I wonder if she feels the darkness, too. There are times when she doesn't seem right. Like her heart is heavy and she can't shake it. Her eyes get clouded and frantic. But when I ask her about it, she just says she's fine. I don't know how to help her."
"And what about Ms. Blake?"
"I don't know when we went back inside the distillery, her body was gone. But I know one thing. For whatever comes next, we'll be ready for it. All of us. Together."
