Reid stood at the helm of the small jet-powered boat as they sped toward the island where they suspected Alex would be.
Prentiss noticed his white knuckles as he clutched tightly onto the steering wheel. "Would you like me to take over for a bit?"
Reid kept his eyes forward as he shook his head, "I need to be doing something."
"Okay, so talk to me. Tell me what's going on in that overworking brain of yours."
"I guess I'm just trying to figure out what is the better scenario in this situation."
"What do you mean?"
"I want to find her. But if I find her on this island, where we suspect there is human trafficking, I don't know what would have happened before we reach her."
"I understand, but I can tell you that Alex is fierce and not someone to mess with. I am sure that wherever she is, she is okay."
Reid continued to focus on the rippling water as he remembered a better time spent by the water.
Alex held onto Reid's hand as they walked along the shore with another young couple.
"How much longer are you in Greece for?" The woman asked.
"Another few weeks," Reid replied.
"Yes, my uncle let us use his home as long as we wanted," Alex added.
"You are both very lucky," the man observed with a grin.
"We know," Alex beamed as she stared at the rock on her finger.
"We just knew that Preveza was the most idyllic place for our honeymoon," Reid kissed Alex on the cheek. "And we couldn't pass up the opportunity to start the rest of our lives here."
"I hope one day we could be as in love as you both are, but I am sorry to say that it is late and we need to turn in for the evening," she smiled.
"We will see you for lunch tomorrow?" The man asked.
"You can count on us," Reid promised.
The group said their goodbyes and parted ways. After the spies were a good distance away they stopped pretending to be a married couple.
"Could this ring be gaudier?" Alex snarked.
"I'm sorry, I didn't pick it out. What's wrong with it?" Reid was puzzled.
"It's just not me."
"Don't worry, the next time I get you a ring, it will be the perfect one for you."
Alex smirked back at him as she opened the shuttered doors to the patio. She stepped out onto the meager balcony and leaned against the railing. One of their neighbors was also enjoying the cool night air as he played a tune on his laouto.
Reid joined her and stared out to the water in the distance.
"A part of me is going to hate when this assignment is over," Alex confessed.
"I know the feeling."
"I've enjoyed being married to you."
"Me too," Reid agreed. "However, I could live without your snoring."
Alex let out a gasp as she blushed, "I don't snore!" She lightly smacked his chest with the back of her hand.
"You're right, because right after I cuddle with you, you stop and do one of these." He let out a wistful sigh.
"You are incorrigible," she flirted.
"So I've been told," he flirted back.
The pseudo couple climbed into the modest double bed where they each pulled the covers over themselves and stared up to the ceiling.
"Spencer?" She quietly called out.
"Yeah?"
"Never mind."
"No, what is it?"
They both kept their eyes overhead.
"It's stupid," Alex insisted and rolled her back towards him.
An hour had passed as he continued to stare at the plaster above them. "Why are we avoiding it?" He asked himself softly.
"Because we shouldn't." She turned over and nestled herself onto his chest as his arm wrapped around her. "But we will always have Greece," she murmured.
"Yes, Greece will always be the place where I was married to you." He leaned down and kissed her forehead and the both drifted off to sleep.
Morgan and JJ were able to dock their boat in a secluded location. They found the large estate their new friends described and made their way closer to the building.
"I'm going in for a closer look; you stay here and keep watch," Morgan announced.
"We shouldn't split up," JJ protested.
"I'll be right back." Morgan held out his hand toward his partner.
"Morgan." She quietly called out as he rushed toward the window of the mansion. He crept behind the bush and looked inside.
Duncan sat in a large comfortable chair and sipped from his teacup as Alex stood in front of him still in her underwear.
"Are you sure you don't want some?" He asked coolly.
"Yes, I'm sure," she responded in a huff.
Morgan snuck back to JJ who was eagerly waiting for him. "She's in there."
"Is Alex alright?" JJ asked.
"She doesn't appear to be injured. However, she's standing in the middle of the room wearing next to nothing. There was a man talking with her," Morgan explained.
"Did you recognize him?"
"No, but we need to get in there." He pulled out his sidearm and cocked it.
"What are you talking about? We can't go in there, guns blazing," JJ protested.
"What's the hold-up?" Morgan questioned.
"There are only two of us. We are heavily outnumbered; we need to regroup."
"Once we get inside, Alex will be able to help us."
"You don't know that, who's to say how her condition is. She was most likely drugged and wouldn't be able to fight." JJ touched his forearm. "Morgan, we need help. We have to tell Reid that we found her."
"I don't feel right leaving her here."
"We won't be any good for her unless we go get help."
Morgan nodded knowing that JJ was right.
Duncan placed his teacup back on its saucer he held in his hand. "You should really have a cuppa tea, it will settle your nerves." He let his accent slip.
"My nerves will settle as soon as I'm returned back to where I was kidnapped from!"
"I know that you are frustrated, but I can't do anything about that right now. But please, take a seat and calm down. I have fresh clothing on the way for you, please Alex, for me." His emerald eyes twinkled as he pleaded with her.
Alex sat and covered herself with the cashmere blanket.
"Tell me what has been going on in your life since I've seen you last," Duncan asked with the air of two old friends catching up.
Alex thought of what she wanted to say. I'm really in the CIA and not a bartender. I was thrown in jail because I was protecting the man I love and now that I'm out we have been working on getting to know each other again. I was then thrown for a loop by running into a man I detest and now I'm practically naked after being drugged and kidnapped. "I work as a translator now and I was on vacation with my boyfriend when we saw Sloane." She paused as she came to a realization. "Oh my god, Aaron must be going crazy."
She knew that the team would be working together. However, she needed to keep up the charade, unsure of what information was getting back to Sloane.
"I was given word that your boyfriend would be given a message that you were safe," Duncan informed her.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"That's just what I was told."
Alex tried not to focus on all the horrible thoughts going on through her head of what is happening with the team. "How did you get back to working for Sloane?"
"I never stopped."
"What?" Alex was shocked to hear that. "Even after the bombing?"
"Julian Sloane survived an attempt on his life. He picked himself up and rebuilt his life out here in the Bahamas."
"Wait. You think someone tried to kill Sloane?"
"Yes, when his club exploded, the investigator found evidence of a rival wanted to get rid of Sloane."
Alex knew that Sloane set that bomb to fake his death but she couldn't tell Duncan that. She didn't know if he knew the truth or not.
"What kind of work do you do for Julian, exactly?" Alex asked.
"I manage this estate," Duncan was proud.
"What does that entail?" Alex questioned.
"First and foremost… attending to our guests." He got up as a woman walked in carrying a garment bag. "Why don't you change into this? You will be more comfortable during your stay."
