One is in a stable relationship and the other well they are having a few problems with women The war is over and everyone is trying to get their life together John is happily married with children and is now ready to share his past with his kids with the help of an old friend but what they don't know is that their past is coming back to haunt them And It will change their lives.

20. Chapter 18

CHAPTER 18: THE WOLF, RABBIT AND THE EAGLE

"Why can't we let them live" said A voice."Humanity was loyal when the forerunners attacked us".

"Humanity is not the same anymore they have gown independent and power hungry, their as violent as the forerunners...besides our presence will only scare them and they will try to kill what they fear" said Another. "You designed them like that for a reason didn't you".

The Infinity

Alice jumped over the pylon firing at the elite with her brute plasma rifle, this was her first time in the war games simulator and her first time with their new armor. She was finally not tripping with every boost she made, the others were right behind her. Mike was watching from the observatory with commander Palmer, their objective was a very familiar one..capture the flag. Philip slid behind cover and equipping his Spartan laser as a banshee and Wraith fired upon their position. "Jerome cover me!" Yelled Phillip backing out of cover and aiming at the banshee, Jerome activated two grenades and threw them into the group of covenant troops while firing his assault rifle killing any survivors. Once the Spartan laser was fully charged the laser shot out destroying the banshee. While this was happening Douglas ran for the wraith jumping onto it and quickly tossing a frag into the drivers seat and jumping off as it exploded.

"How much further to the flag?" Asked Douglas pulling out his shotgun.

"Just a few more yards" said Alice moving up.

"There doing well" said Sarah looking to Mike. "Maybe we can get a little naughty since they've clearly completed the course already" Sarah smiled placing her hand onto his chest plate and kissing his neck, he softly shoved her away as his helmet began to cover his face.

"Commander with all due respect I'm here to insure that my Spartans can use their equipment properly in the field as well as communicate and work together" said Mike slowly turning his head to look at her as his helmet finished coming together. "Your supervision is no longer needed Commander...you are excused" Sarah tightened her fist and walked out of the observatory. As soon as the simulation ended Mike got onto the Coms. "Excellent work Spartans...you are excused" Mike walked out into the hallway and made his way to Izzy's room, she stood as he walked into the room smiling. His helmet broke apart and fell back into his suit to reveal his sadden expression.

"What is it?" She asked.

"I...I don't know why I tell lies to them" said Mike.

"lies?" She said confused.

"Yes lies" said Mike sounding frustrated."To my Team everyday saying how I know where I stand on this matter of the Chief going Rogue... but I don't... I don't know how to feel about it... all I feel is hate and rage towards them...I want to kill them all of them make them pay for something but I don't even know what it is" said Mike walking to the back of the room and sitting down on the floor. "All I want is revenge". Izzy frowned and sat down next to him.

"Is there anyone you don't feel this way about" said Izzy.

"There's one but...she won't feel the same" said Mike, Izzy gave out a sigh and rested her head on his shoulder.

The Ark

John stood on one of the many beaches that were on the Ark, he looked out to is infinite ocean worried about what he was doing. He shouldn't have brought Cortana and the kids into this but like the fool he is he did, and what for if he left them there they would've been questioned and even imprisoned, but now the same fate awaits them even worse if they try to back or the UNSC finds them he put their lives in danger as if he gets to decide what they do, but they aren't just another group of soldiers their his family. They had the right to say no and he denied them that, now they could die and it's all his fault. He clenched his fist as he dropped to his knees, the tears fell out of his eyes as if they knew what he did and wanted nothing to do with him. He pounded the ground with his fist as he sobbed. "WHY DO THEY FOLLOW ME!" He screamed looking out at the ocean for answers. If only if they knew what he had did, they would leave him too like his tears.

The Ark in orbit

Cortana stood in their room aboard the frigate, the kids were in the bathroom bathing and John and been gone for some time now. She wanted to go home but she knew that was not possible anymore, she's not mad at John for taking them with him but he could at least dropped the kids off with their grandparents. But alas it was too late for that and wants done is done no sense in arguing about it she should just be supportive because no amount of screaming with change anything.

The Ark

Fred, Linda and Kelly stood waiting for the chiefs pelican to come back, its been three hours and not a word from through the coms. "We should go find him" said Fried.

"Have faith in the chief Fred" said Kelly.

"Faith?!" Said Fred turning to Kelly. "He's been acting weird ever since we left the UNSC and now is just up and leaving whenever he feels like it without saying a word!".

"Fred please" said Linda trying to calm him.

"No I'm done with him first he tells us to trust him and betray the government we sworn to protect on something that the flood said and now he isn't telling us a dam thing and expects us just to blindly follow him!" Said Fred walking away in anger. Linda sighed and ran after him, Kelly looked out of the hanger at the islands on the other side of the ark, where is he, where's John. She walked back to her quarters on the Ark she smiled to see that Neive was still sound asleep in her little crib. She looked a bit older than she was a few hours ago her hair was longer as well, something was wrong, she picked up Neive and headed to the med bay.

The Infinity

Mike sat in his quarters flipping a coin and staring at the wall they were a week away from getting to the Ark and he was freaking out. He didn't even know what to do where they just gonna show up and demand the chief to come back or would they have to take them by force, or maybe, maybe they'd have to kill him and his followers. Mike grind at this final thought he quickly diminished this thought not knowing why he wanted to do this evil deed. He supposes it was because they left like they couldn't trust him, but why, was it because of Philip that day in Japan. He sighed and laid down why did he feel this hate towards them, he might never know the true reason all he could do was speculate.

Ark

John started up a fire right outside the pelican than began to walk into the water a half an hour passed when he came out of the water with some alien fish then threw them next to the fire. He took off his helmet and threw it onto the ground and looked out at the Artificial sun as it set. He needed some time alone, he couldn't face the others after what happened, he couldn't let the others see him like this. In this state of mind all he would do is cry in anger at himself and what he couldn't be, he was strong and his legs trembled. He placed the fish over the fire and watched as the flames burned its flesh hardening it's skin. He grabbed the hard skin and smiled it came off with ease almost like a marshmallow he remembered the first time he roasted marshmallows with Catherine and ben. He smiled at the thought of them he remembered that day so well Ben was able to roast his marshmallow until it look like a bar of gold while Catherine lit hers on fire and at it while it was on fire. It burnt her mouth but when he asked her if she was okay she said it was worth it, they laughed on their way to the hospital as Cortana freaked out. John laughed at this thought as he ate the fish, he loved them so much but he needed to be strong for them and right now he was incapable of that and he hated it. He hated that he couldn't be brave he hated that he couldn't be John 117, but that's who he was John 117, so why couldn't he be that. He sat there for a couple of hours thinking about what he did and while he ate the fish why was he like this why couldn't he just be himself again what happened along the way for him to become this sad excuse for a human being. After that he fell asleep. He was quickly awoken as the loud engines of a pelican shut down, he sat up looking through his visor as a blue armored man came up to him. John was grabbed but the neck and his body was lifted up and slammed into the side of his pelican. "What is wrong with you" said Fred tightening his grip around Johns neck, John responded with silence causing Fred to slam him on to the fire pit. "Answer me!".

"I needed to be alone...I'm sorry Fred I just need time to think" said John slowly getting up.

"Your sorry?!" Yelled Fred punching John in the face causing John to SIT THE FUCK DOWN.

"I'm just going through some things" said John softly.

"Then tell me?!" Yelled Fred punching the Pelican in frustration. "Tell us your friends and family!?".

"You won't understand Fred" said John getting up.

"Just funcking tell me John I'm tired of your shit!" Yelled Fred.

"I'm not myself!" Yelled John in response to Fred's anger.

"Your right John I don't understand... because I don't even know what the fuck that means why can't you be yourself huh what's holding you back!" Said Fred.

"I'm not my old self okay who I was, I'm not strong anymore... not" said John as his fist trembled and tears rolled down his face and onto his visor.

"Your not strong?" Said Fred quietly walked up to John. "John...Chief you're the strongest man I know to go against the UNSC to do was right even though you know what was going to happen the was not only a strong thing to do but a brave thing".

"But why do you follow me" said John.

"Because you are willing to do that John because we know every decisuon you make is the right one" said Fred, they both stood there in silence thinking about what to say next.

"Your right" said John looking up at Fred. "I am Petty Officer Master Chief John 117 and I'll be damed if I let myself get in the way of helping others and getting the Job done" John stood up straight with pride. "Thank you Fred".

"No Prob Chief" said Fred. "Now we better hurry Kelly needs us now".

"Let's get going then" said John as Fred headed to his Pelican and John to his. He sighed as he sat down in the pilots seat, after all these years he thought Fred could tell when he was lying. When they got to the ship John ran out of the Pelican with Fred as they headed towards the Med bay. When they got there John's eyes widen, it was Nieve but she looked three years old, John took off his helmet and placed it on the table. He slowly walked up to the little girl who was sitting on a medical table and knelt down in front of her, he looked up at her mother who looked worried. "Can she speak".

"I can" she said looking down at the man who was in front of her, John's head quickly turned to see the girl.

"Do you know who I am?" Asked John looking at the Girl in awe.

"No" she said shaking her head.

"My name's John" he said extending his hand out to her. She smiled and shook his hand. John looked to the doctor who was looking and Nieve in amazement. "How?".

"It seems that the mixing of DNA from her mother and father who from what I know he has been exposed extendedly to radiation and has been experimented on multiple times with different types of Spartan serums it seems that the traits of the serums to extended growth have mutated his DNA to cause offspring to...grow at a rapid rate until they hit maturity so probable when she hit's puberty... the white hair and silver eyes seems to be a hereditary trait passed down by the family caused by all types of Spartan serums and is shown to an extent from Fredric with the silver patches in his hair, this trait is as well from her father's side who it seems the mutation skips a generation as he has no signs of this mutation as for her knowledge she has already picked up basic English from us talking to her, her brain seems to quickly pick up the meaning of a word and deciphers how it is used in our language in an instance" said the doctor.

"And how do you know all this?" Asked Fred looking at the doctor.

"Lieutenant this ship was fitted with some of the greatest advancments in medical technology when it was still in the UNSC figuring out why this girl is ageing so quickly was just a matter of drawing some blood and running it through the lab on deck two and as for her brains capacity to learn how it works it's all based off of observation since she starts to freak of when we try to use equipment on her" said the doctor.

"Haven't you tried to sedate her?" Said John.

"We were able to when drawing her blood but we need her brain to be awake and active if were going to want to learn what it's able to do" said the doctor. Cortana looked at Nieve and smiled.

"At least she won't be alone" said Cortana gesturing to Ben and Catherine.

"True" said Kelly with a small smile.

"Did you tell her about her father?" Whispered John to Kelly.

"They haven't told me anything about a father" said Nieve looking to John and Kelly.

"Her hearing his extraordinary" said the doctor. John looked at the girl and back at Kelly.

"Should we give you some time alone with her?" Asked John.

"No later right now we should just try to talk to her and explain what's happening" said Kelly looking at her daughter. They heard footsteps running towards them and heavy breathing a man in slacks and a Jacket knelt in the doorway catching his breath am I late. "No not really honey".

The Infinity

Mike and Meghan shared a passionate kiss as they laid next to each other in her quarters. "Explain why you brought us along because I'm still confused?" Asked Meghan pulling back from Mike.

"I hate Spartan fours and I'm going to need another team while me and mine head to the Grave mind" said Mike.

"Ah" she said kissing his cheek. "And why are you with me and not this other girl?".

"This means nothing... what I do with her means nothing as well, the only woman I love is Kelly" said Mike running his hands through her hair.

"What happened between you and Sarah?" Asked Meghan.

"Why do you always ask me shit" said Mike.

"Because I care for you Mike and I want to know what's going on in your life" said Meghan looking into his eyes. "And if mindlessly fucking you is the only way I can get close to you then so be it".

"Well you don't have to worry about that anymore because I'm done with this free range fucking" said Mike laying on his back and looking up at the ceiling.

"Then why am I lying here next to you?" Asked Megha .

"Because your lips are a drug that I can never recover from" said Mike kissing her.

Later in de Cafeteria

Mike, Jun, Patty, Tony, Meghan and Phil sat at a lunch table eating food and discussing current topics. "So why is Jun in command until you come back" asked Tony looking at Mike.

"Because he's a mature responsible adult children... and he's had more experience than any of you" said Mike while food was in his mouth.

"I don't mind" said Meghan who was technically second in command. "It seems fair my only question is why don't you just make Jun second in command".

"This is his trial run we know you can take command Meghan even though you were never in combat during the war and well since me and Jun are still the only ones to see action during the war I think he could do some good as second in command" said Mike, he then turned to Jun with his arms crossed. "You wanna tell them what you told me". Jun sighed and threw a data pad onto the table.

"Here's your new armor" said Jun.

"Again?!" Said Patty looking at Jun like he was insane.

"Yes... there the ones based off of Noble team" said Jun.

"Weirdo" said Phil.

"Meghan will have the Wrath armor, Phil will have the Noble honor variant, Patty will have the Intruder, Indomitable will be Tony's and I will wear the vigilant...colors are your choice" said Jun.

"I'm with Phil on this on that's fucking weird" said Patty.

"What's wrong Mike you look down" said Tony looking at Mike who was staring at his food.

"It's nothing I'm just thinking is all" said Mike looking up at the others and giving a fake smile.

"Is it about Kelly" said Meghan looking concerned, Mike gave out a big sigh and began laughing.

"Yeah...It's about her and her boyfriend" said Mike.

"What?!" Said the entire table.

"Yeah didn't I tell you guys she has a boyfriend" said Mike looking at them all confused.

"NO!" Said Patty.

"It's story time bitches" said Mike sitting up.

Flashback

Mike sat down at his desk, it was his first day working for ONI and instead of giving him a mission they gave him a desk. "Just great" muttered Mike under his voice.

"Hey you Mike" said a man with an Australian accent walking up to him.

"Uh yeah... hows' it going" said Mike standing up and shaking the man's hand.

"It's going good man, I'm Rodger I'll be working with you on the Prometheans" said Rodger.

"Nice to meet to Rodger" said Mike sitting back down, Rodger made his way to his desk which was next to Mike's and sat down.

"Hey you got any plans tonight man cause I think we should start this partnership with some alcohol and a few ladies" said Rodger.

"Nah sorry man I got a flight tonight to Japan" said Mike.

"Awww that's to bad guess I'll have to drink for you since you won't be there" said Rodger with a big smile.

"You're a real party animal huh?" Said Mike leaning back in his chair.

"Right you are..grew up in Alice Springs in Australia, moved to America for college and went to Yale and Majored in Forerunner studies" said Rodger, Rodger then looked around excitedly. "I hear you can control them...the Prometheans" he whispered.

"Mhm" said Mike.

"Holy shit that's the most amazing thing I've every heard" said Rodger leaning closer to Mike. "Why do you think they follow you".

"If I were to guess it's because they have no one else to follow... the Didact is dead and so is the Warden eternal and since they master before me the Sangheili who claimed to be Jul is now dead I suppose they follow the killer of there leader" said Mike.

"Your one hell of a Spartan" said Rodger.

Flashback interrupted

Patty Jumped across the table covering Mike's mouth. "Eight O-clock...ACHILLES armor Spartans" said Patty gesturing to the Spartans entering the room.

"Son of a bitch" said Tony.

"And I quote, 'The Achilles suit's neural interface is equipped with a savage AI that gnaws at the mind of its user, easily leading to excessive violence in combat. Only select Spartans who have mastered themselves are allowed to requisition the Achilles set, as unskilled wearers will quickly lose themselves to uncontrolled rage at the hands of the suit's embedded AI.' " said Phil looking at the four Spartans walking into the café.

"What are they doing fully armored?" Asked Jun sounding worried.

"Is it weird that seeing them turns me on" said Meghan.

"Girl if I had a man who had that much self control I'd be the luckiest women by my standards" said Patty.

"Hey look one of them is a chick just for you Phil" said Tony, just as he said this the female Spartan looked over them and in a second everyone looked away except Mike, he watched as the female talked to one of the others as they waited in line for food. He then turned away and pulled out a personal AI chip and threw it on the table.

"Hey Cable" said Mike.

"Yes sir" said a deep dark voice coming from the chip.

"Try and see if Jerome, Alice and Douglas can get fitted with the Achilles armor" said Mike to the AI.

"Are you insane!" said Jun looking at Mike.

"No but if I were you I'd straighten up your pose because their coming this way" said Mike looking forward. The four fully armored Spartans came up to them in a straight line and saluted.

"Sir it is an honor to meet you" said the one in the front.

"The honor is mine, especially when you are Achilles wearer" said Mike looking up at them. "Please sit down". Said Mike gesturing to the spot next to him.

"T-thankyou" said the one in front, he turned to the others a told them to sit as well.

"So what brings you to this table?" Asked Mike looking to the Spartans.

"Well sir we heard you were on this ship with your team and we wanted to meet some of the original Spartans, then we heard about a mission and well...you see due to our violent nature because of our suits were not allowed on many missions" said the Spartan.

"First before you go any further please take off your helmets" said Mike smiling.

"Sir" said the First spartan, he turned and told the others to do the same.

"Look at all those beautiful faces" said Mike.

"Sir we were wondering if we could join you on your mission?' Asked the Spartan.

"Well due to the nature of the mission and how you guys can be very violent I don't see any reason not to have you along" said Mike thinking for a bit.

"Really?" Said one of them.

"Yeah I mean were going against the Master Chief for Christ sakes, we need someone who can over power him" said Mike.

"Can't you and haven't you" said Tony.

"Can we continue the fucking story" said Phil.

"Do you guys mind if I do" said Mike looking at the Spartans.

"Not at all sir" said the spartan.

Flashback at it again with the white vans

Mike introduced Kelly to Rodger as she was getting ready for the flight, the talked for a bit then they were on their way.

Flashback mother fucking Interrupted mother fucking again

"Why did I choose your brain the other human is actually doing something about the threat" said Bias.

"Rude" said Mike hitting his head, everyone sat there staring at him in silence with no clue as to what the fuck was going on. "Well long story short he was kinda there for her I guess after the bombing Japan...I WALKED IN ON THEM FUCKING lets just say that okay".

"Wow...that fucking sucks" said Phil.

"Your life is so fucking depressing" said Patty.

"AWWWWW you guys stop it your making me blush" said Mike smiling.

"Sir, I am sorry for that" said the Spartan.

"Don't be...by the way what's your names" said Mike looking at them.

"I am Tomo, that's Rex, Zahaira and Icarus" said Tomo to Mike. "Phil leaned in next to Tony and whispered.

"Zahaira is hot" whispered Phil

"Filthy and fine" Tony whispered back.

"Love me a brunette" whispered Phil.

"her chest plate his slightly pushed out more imagine the knockers on her" whispered Tony.

"Hell yeah" whispered Phil.

"Tag team?" Whispered Tony.

"If she won't be able to decide" Whispered Phil.

"Most likely we're to hot to only choose one of us" Whispered Tony.

"Keep your tiny dicks in your pants" whispered Patty. Phil looked over to Zahaira and smiled she locked eyes with him and quickly looked away as she smiled blushing.

"She's shy this gonna be easy" whispered Phil to Tony.

"Remember to take it slow don't forget what happened when you dated the Chief's Cousin" Tony whispered back.

Flashback

"Come sit down" said Cortana pulling out a chair for Christiana.

"Oh no thankyou it hurts when I sit right now" she said, Phil quickly smiled with pride at this remark, John noticed this and charged at Phil sending them both through the wall.

Flashback end

"Oh yeah...I had to pay for the repairs" whispered Phil.

"So why do you guys hang together?" Asked Mike.

"Well we're the only ones who wear the Achilles armor, sir" said Tomo.

"Oh" said Mike in aw.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet all of you but I must go ask your commander if you guys are going to be coming on this mission with us" said Mike getting, he then looked at the two groups. "You guys start mingling".

Mike walked into Sarah's quarters and looked over her slipping body, he kicked the bed to wake her up. "Wake up I have an offer" said Mike looking around the room.

"What is it?" Asked Sarah turning over to look at him.

"My body is yours to do with until we get to the Ark if you allow me to use all your Achilles armor wearing Spartans" said Mike.

"That's two weeks away" said Sarah.

"Precisely" said Mike looking down at her.

"Well you can start by coming to bed with me" said Sarah scooting back and lifting up the blanket for Mike. He rolled his eyes and get in. "Spoon with me Mike" she said Smiling.

"Fuck you" said Mike.

THE ARK

John couldn't keep his eyes off of Cortana as she ran her hands around her soapy nude body, he was still wearing his armor and was only there because she need some company and didn't want to be alone. He stood up and walked into the show if her the water bounced off of his armor he looked down at her tiny body he looked down as the water ran down her skin and onto the floor. She turned around and looked up at him. "Hey there big guy" she said smiling, she leaned forward and kissed his stomach region.

"This armor gets in the way of making love to my wife sometimes you know that?" Said John softly placing his hand on her cheek.

"But you love wearing it" she said, John reached out his hands and grabbed her butt picking her causing her to wrap her legs around his waist. "Almost as much as you love me?".

"It was my wife before you" said John smiling.

"And then I got into the beautiful brain of yours and stole you from it" she said Triumphally.

"I have to admit it gets lonely in there with out you" said .

"But now I'm out here with you" she said Kissing his helmet. "Isn't that better?".

"It is, I mean we now have the kids because of it I just wish you were still in here you know" said John.

"Well we shuold go because those kids are waiting fot us" said Cortana.

"Agreed" said John. When Cortana got her clothes on they headed to the armory where John got his armor off. They got to there room where the kids laid asleep on the bed Cortana laid next to them and John laid on the floor next to the bed.

"you gonna to be okay down there" she said looking down at him.

"Yeah" said John folding his pillow in half.

"Okay goodnight sweetie" said Cortana.

The next day

Kelly sat down watching Nieve play with the sand right next to the water, she was such an intelligent girl and she was only a month old and she was so beautiful. Kelly couldn't believe and beautiful she was mainly because she looked so much like her father. "This is very interesting" said Rodger looking at Nieve's file that the doctor gave them.

"What is Rodger?" Asked Kelly.

"Well...everything unique about her is because of Mike" he said pointing to Nieve and sitting down next to Kelly. "Mike ages ten times slower then the average human, I mean that's why he's in his late forties looking like he's in his mid thirty's...everything about him from his heart to his bones...the man has the sperm of a twenty two year old, his bones break constantly due to his immense strength but heal almost instantaneously" said Rodger.

"What do you mean his bones break constantly" said Kelly looking at Rodger for answers.

"The serum that the Innis's gave to him Advanced almost everything except his bone strength so the man's on bones can't handle the speed and force he moves his body at, its also shut down many of his nerves adding on to the nerve damage he's gotten over the war so he doesn't feel the pain caused by the broken bones but he dose fill them move around his body when broken but a serum Halsey gave countered that buy causing his bones to heal incredible fast" said Rodger reading from the file.

"He's never told me about that before" she said feeling hurt.

"Maybe he didn't want you to worry" said Rodger trying to comfort her.

"What else dose it say?" She asked.

"Well Nieve is going to turn out like him with her aging, her body and knowledge will grow until she hits puberty then her body will age naturally until that's over and then once she hits the end of puberty she'll age as slow as him" said Rodger handing her the file. "The doctor said that his body just evolved to create a trait that would help the human race produce at a much faster rate and produce more since women should be able to stay fertile longer, in fact if Mike had a sun he would want to know if he would age slower or faster then his sister as in some species the female will reach sexual maturity faster then the male".

"I'm not letting that bastard experiment on my child nor will I let her bastard of a father see her" said Kelly tossing the file to the side. "She's going to grow up away from all this when it's time to leave this place I'm taking her with me John will have to finish this crusade without me".

"And I'll be with you every step of the way" he said, Kelly smiled and kissed him.

"Thankyou" she said.

Infinity

Phil and Tony sat down in the armory watching as Zahaira took off her armor, they had a bet first person to get in bed with her wins eight hundred credits. "God her tit's are so big" said Tony.

"I wouldn't mind being breast feed by them" Said Phil practically drooling. "I'd suck on those babies all night".

"I hear you man" said Tony locking his eyes onto her breast. "God I just want shove my face between those things".

"Oh shit she's coming this way act natural" said Phil looking down at the floor. She walked up to the two who were looking at anywhere in the room except her.

"Did you want to talk to me Lieutenant Junior grade?" She said saluting.

"What?" said Phil looking confused.

"I couldn't help but notice you were looking at me sir" she said.

"Oh huh yeah Lieutenant may you leave us" said Phil looking at Tony with an evil smile.

"Lucky bastard" said Tony getting up and walking away.

"So Chief Warrant officer how long have you been in service?" Asked Phil.

"S -sir, I've been in service for eight years" she said a bit nervously.

"Calm down come sit down" said Phil scooting over.

"Yes sir" she said sitting next to him. "Sir permission to speak?".

"Granted" said Phil. She leaned in grabbing his crotch and whispered into his ear.

"I know you two have been watching and if you want me to lick it all you had to do was ask because I would love for you to fill me up daddy" she said, she then licked his neck and after that she got up and walked away leaving Phil in shock. Phil walked back to his room not speaking a word of this to anyone not even Tony. He got to it and immediately locked his door letting out a big sigh as it closed. 'Holy shit' he thought to himself sitting down against the door, he sat there for a while thinking about what he just heard. He was brought out of thought when his data pad went off saying he had a message, he walked up to. He got a message from Zahaira, it read 'meet me in my room tomorrow fully armored'.

"Oh jeez" said Phil to himself.

Mike watched as the team ran through the simulation, the members of red team were denied the Achilles armor, (that was the last time he asked Sarah for a favor) so Mike had to make due with the hellcat. Philip to his surprise was actually keeping up with them, Mike wanted to be down there but he needed to see how well they were at completing objectives before he started taking command. Because if they didn't work well together then why even bother to tell them what to do, all there going do is fight and fuck things up for everyone else. But it looks like he didn't need to worry about that since they were performing extremely well, Phil who was the youngest and had the least experience was working greatly with the battle hardened Spartan twos. Right now they were working on an assassination simulation, next they would work on a search and rescue and finally they'd compete in battle with other Spartans, and that's where he'd join them. When they finished Mike met up with them outside, "Good Job...you guys have been working together greatly" said Mike.

"Thankyou sir" said Jerome.

"When are you going to join us?" Said Alice walking up to him.

"When you guys are ready for the warzone simulation" said Mike.

"And why is this warzone so important" said Alice.

"Because you won't just be fighting covenant you'll be fighting other Spartans who have more experience then you with this new armor" said Mike.

"Like the chief" said Jerome.

"Exactly, if we can't fight him then we can do the next best thing...which is not really" said Mike.

"Well I think well do just fine" said Philip.

"Mike!" Yelled Phil running up to the group, he seemed out of breath. "I've been looking everywhere for you".

"Hi I'm Philip" said Philip extending his hand out to Phil, Phil stared at the Philip for a while looking disgusted, he then turned back to Mike.

"Who Is this Phil wanna be" said Phil pointing to Philip.

"Excuse me" said Philip.

"You heard me PHILip" said Phil.

"I don't know did I philIP" said Philip.

"What?" Said Phil.

"I'm sorry but isn't Phil short for Philip" said Mike looking at the two of them.

"No!" Said Phil sounding offended.

"Ugh! How could you say that that's just insulting to Philips everywhere" said Philip crossing his arms. "How dare you associate a very beautiful and complex name with that piece of shit name".

"It's the same name!" Said Douglas.

"Stay out of this!" Said Phil and Philip.

"He's right though the only difference is an I and a P" said Mike.

"You don't understand" said Phil.

"This war has been going on for years" said Philip.

"War?" Said Alice.

"Yes, for many years Phil's and Philips fought over which was the better name" said Phil.

The Ark

Fred and Linda sat on one of the many forest that was on the ark, they decided to leave for a bit with all this drama going on. Fred looked up at the sky as he laid in the green grass, Kelly was learning how to play Ukulele she was getting the hang of it her only problem was moving her fingers quickly enough. It was such a tiny instrument it was hard to play with her big hands, she looked over to Fred who was taking in the fresh breathing in as much as he could. "You think Mike would teach me, because so far I'm self taught and I don't think I'm doing that good" said Linda looking down at Fred, Fred opened his eyes and turned to her.

"Just because Mike is Hawaiian doesn't mean he can play that thing, besides isn't that a Portuguese instrument" said Fred. Flashback

Mike made his way into the room where Rodger was testing out the Prometheans weak points, the room was circler with a glass cylinder cage that held the Prometheans on at a time. They knew the Prometheans could feel pain using the right frequency of sound waves, he could hear its screams of pain every time they ran that test. Mike walked up to Rodger with a clipboard and safety goggles. "How many times do I have to bring you goggles for you to realize you need to wear them in here" said Mike handing Rodger the goggles.

"When I go blind Mike, I don't want to miss anything" he said Looking back at Mike.

"Well you'll miss a lot when your blind" said Mike writing down the data that they were getting from the test. "How long can the endure pain?" Mike read out the title on the piece of paper.

"Yep and we're on hour two" said Rodger looking at the promethean. "Should I turn it up".

"No lets not destroy this, we need to see how long they can take it not what frequency kills them...and we need to see if each one can take a different amount of pain...don't forget to do the crawlers, watchers and Soldiers" said Mike.

"I know I know, its fun watching these guys try to fight" said Rodger smiling.

"Yeah..."said Mike looking a bit worried.

"What else does it say on there?" asked Rodger.

"What could permanently kill a promethean, are they able to be averted back to humans, do they have the three senses, how do they communicate, can they communicate vocally, do they know English, are they sentient and finally can they be used to work for us" said Mike.

"Kind of don't want to do the last one" said Rodger.

"Same" said Mike putting the clip bored on the table.

"So how's the girlfriend?" Asked Rodger.

"Getting big but still sexy" said Mike leaning on the desk against the wall.

"Yeah she's a real beauty that one" said Rodger.

"You betcha and I'm lucky to have her" said Mike opening up a yogurt cup.

"You got me one?" Asked Rodger.

"Yep, cherry" said Mike tossing him one.

"Thanks" said Rodger opening his as well."And a spoon".

"Oh shit sorry man" said Mike tossing him a spoon as well. They both stood there eating yogurt for about ten minutes as the promethean was being bombarded with sound waves.

"You think they'll ever get out" said Rodger.

"Yeah...I mean they can teleport, the only reason they haven't is because the sound waves fuck with them" said Mike eating his third yogurt cup.

"Which flavor is that one" said Rodger ignoring the screams of the promethean knight.

"Kiwi" said Mike doing the same.

"Is it any good" said Rodger.

"I'm still eating it am I" said Mike."Which one you got".

"Cheese cake" said Rodger.

"Eww" said Mike putting a spoon full into his mouth.

"I think it taste good" said Rodger defending himself.

"I think your gross" said Mike.

"Yeah well I think I'm delicious" said Rodger.

"So you got a special someone?" Asked Mike.

"Nah its just me and my boxer Terry" said Rodger.

"Boxer?" Asked Mike looking confused.

"It's a dog" said Rodger.

"Ah, boy or girl" said Mike.

"Girl" said Rodger.

"So what's the bitches name" said Mike.

"Jasmine" said Rodger.

"She sounds lovely" said Mike.

"Actually she's a bit of a bitch" said Rodger.

"Pun indented?" Asked Mike.

"No" said Rodger.

"Ah" said Mike.

Three hours later

"…...I so then I said if every pork chop were perfect we wouldn't have hot dogs" said Rodger finishing his story.

"That's fucking funny" said Mike drinking a beer.

"Yeah you should've been there" said Rodger pouring a vodka into a cup with Pepsi.

"How long has it been?" Asked Mike.

"Five hours" said Rodger dinking from his cup. "You got the curly fries?".

"Yep" said Mike looking around for the fries. Suddenly a loud scream burst through the room, louder then the ones the Promethean was producing, Mike and Rodger looked to the Promethean to see it collapsed on the ground. They both ran to the control panel shutting off the machine as Rodger wrote down the time. "Time?".

"Five hours and twenty three minutes" said Rodger quickly writing the time.

"Dam this guy is a tank" said Mike completely shutting of the machine, Mike grabbed a shot gun and ran into the room shooting the promethean Knight so he wouldn't leave. He picked up the "soul" and walked out of the room and put it into a box, he then walked back into room with Rodger. "Hey I'm going to go home okay?".

"Okay see you later" said Rodger over looking the data.

Fin of Flashback

"Boom check mate" said Linda nocking down Fred's king.

"Wow look at that you won" said Fred with an evil smile.

"You let me win didn't you!?" Sounding pissed off.

"Oh I don't know maybe" said Fred still smiling, Linda couldn't help but smile her self.

"Thankyou but I was able to beat you every time before so I don't need your help" said Linda.

"Who says I didn't let you win all those other times" said Fred.

"I swear if one more snarky comment comes out of your mouth I'm going to kill you" said Linda.

The next day on the infinity

Tony was taking a jog around the ship like he did every day that they were on bored, it was fairly easy and more peaceful then other ships since seventy five percent of the crew was in cryo. His Jog began from his room, to the bridge, then back to the engines, past the observation deck and then he finishes when he gets back to his room it. It took him two hours to complete this and his route was 7.0765152 miles long (Yes I did the math). He was on his final stretch heading towards his room when he heard a loud noise come from one of the rooms. The noise was loud and sounded organic it was filled with joy yet also with pain, he walked up to the door listening closer. Now it was two noises one with only joy and the other a mixture of the two, he could hear ponding and the noises became synced with each other. Tony slowly moved his hand towards the door hesitantly moving his finger closer to the button, he pressed the button and completely froze at what he say. They laid Phil and Zahaira fully armored as they fucked through holes that they made by ripping apart their under suites.

"…..Whaaaaaaa?" Said Tony.

"She's into some kinky shit" said Phil trying to catch his breath. Tony back away from the room closing the door and contuning with his jog trying to forget what he just saw.

Two weeks later

Mike and his team walked to the pelican bay fully armored, they were six minutes from existing slip space, Jun and Python team were with them as well as Striker team which was the four Achilles armor Spartans. Mike and his team would get in was pelican and the others in another they all stood outside of the pelicans waiting for orders to bored the pelicans from the pilots, once it became three minutes to exit they boarded the pelicans. Jun sat with Python and Achilles team, he looked over everyone Tony was wearing his armor with an all black paint job with a dark red visor, Patty was in red and white with a red visor as well, Phil had a blue and black paint Job with a gold visor and Patty had and orange and black paint job with and orange paint job. The pelican lifted off and aliened itself so it was facing the exit. "Exiting slip space in three two one" said Lasky over the coms. The Pelican flew out of the hanger and headed towards the ground. Lasky tried to get in contact with the UNSC Raven but it was not responsive.

"Sir their heating up their weapons" said a crew member.

"Launch the fleet disable that ship but don't kill them I want them alive" said Lasky. Jun took a deep breath as the pelican raced to the surface they were heading to a research base in the moutains near the center of the Ark. The scientist that were stationed on the Ark had Joined John and the others this was the base with the most personnel in it. Jun was sweating under his armor, he couldn't believe they were actually doing this that they were actually going to arrest and even kill these people. When the Pelican landed they all Jumped out, Jun waved off the Pilot and he flew off he looked to Meghan and Tony and signaled them to move ahead into the facility. The two ran up besides the door as the others stood besides them, Meghan looked at Tony as she counted down when she hit zero, she punched open the door and he ran in shot gun ready followed by the others. The entire group funneled into the dark room to see it was empty.

"Search the facility, Striker you go to the west wing, Meghan take Patty and Phil with you to the east wing, Tony and I will head down the middle well meet up back here" said Jun. It was dark and there was no power so they had to riley on their weapons lights the walls were covered in ice and everything smelled like death.

MIKE

Mike and the others got out of the Pelican and headed into the Grave Minds chamber, they walked down the hallway covered in rotten flesh. It was dark an damp and the air was thick and he could hear movement up ahead voices small ones and one deep loud one. The lights around the hallway were dim, and some were dead. When they got closer they could hear words a conversation about a forerunner fleet as they entered the chamber to see the Grave mind and blue team were in the chamber and were talking to each other. The Grave mind looked over to them and quietly growled. John turned around weapon ready as so did the others. "John why are you still here?" Asked Mike.

"Stand down Mike" said John.

"Calm down were not going shoot we just want to talk" said Mike lowering his weapon, he look at the others and told them to do the same. "We just want to know why you haven't left yet".

"Why should I tell you" said John.

"Because we're on your side" said Mike.

JUN

Jun walked into one of the many rooms in the hallway. "It's empty" said Jun.

"So is this one" said Tony searching another.

"Where the hell is everyone" said Patty.

"Maybe they left to another facility" said Phil.

"But ONI said that activity here went on until two days ago and its still getting some signals till this minute" said Tomo.

"All I know is this place smells like shit" said Tony.

"Preach" said Phil.

"Isn't there a forerunner test facility down under this base" said Rex.

"Its entrance is in the west wing...striker that's you" said Jun.

"Sir" said Tomo.

MIKE

"Look we will let you go we just need to know so we can help" said Mike slowly walking up to John.

"Shut up Micheal we can't trust after what you did!" said Kelly cocking her shot gun and as she got in front of John.

"What did I say about that" said Mike tightening his fist.

"Kelly stand down" said John holding her back. "I trust you Mike I do but I can't trust the UNSC...I will tell you this we are looking for support from the Arbiter and his people but no more".

"Okay...delta team what's your situation" said Jerome over the coms to Jun and them.

JUN

"The base is abandoned and we've found a blood trail and are following it striker team is going to search for the forerunner lab" said Jun.

MIKE

Jerome moved up to Mike and whispered into his ear. "Sir we got a problem with delta, and striker team" said Jerome. Mike switched to the team coms tell John to wait.

"Jun what the hell is going on?" Asked Mike.

JUN

"I don't know Mike we just found a scientist with his guts spread across the room" said Jun looking around.

"Sir we just found the entrance and well..." Said Tomo sounding worried.

"What is it Striker" said Jun.

"The walls...are covered in what seems to be pus filled flesh" said Tomo.

"What?!" Said Jun.

MIKE

Mike slowly turned his head looking up at the Grave Mind as his growls became louder. "Please repeat that last part Striker team leader?" Asked Mike.

JUN

"It seems that the walls are covered in rotting flesh sir" said Tomo. Suddenly Jun heard screeches over the coms.

"We got contact!" Yelled Meghan firing her shot gun at a flood combat form. A flood combat form grabbed Tony and threw him into the wall, Jun turned around and fired at it with his DMR.

"Oh my god" said Icarus as a wave of flood charged at them through the hallway.

"Sir it's the flood" said Jun.

MIKE

"Hey Douglas may you please pass me the Spartan laser" said Mike.

"You do not understand human" said the Grave Mind.

"I defended you!...I trusted you" said Mike charging up the laser. "And you used us!".

"Mike no!" Yelled John tackling him.

"What the hell John!" Said Mike.

"I said he could Mike!" Yelled John.

"What?" Said Mike.

"The scientist...they came down with something they were going to die so I said the Grave Mind could turn them" said John.

"Did you see what happened to them" said Mike.

"Yes that was the disease" said John. They laid there for a few minutes then Mike turned on his coms.

"Lasky" said Mike.

"Yes commander" said Tom.

"Did you subdue the frigate" said Mike.

"Yes" said Tom.

"I'm authorizing Mac round on my location and delta teams" said Mike looking at John. "The chief is hostile I reapet the Chief is hostile". As soon and Mike said this John went to punch Mike but was Blocked by Alice. "Engage blue team...shoot to kill!". Mike kicked John off as Alpha team fired upon blue team.

"Run!" Yelled John as he and the other ran to a side entrance.

"Alice give me the detonator" said Mike extending his hand out to her, she tossed it to him and pressed it. Flame throwers came out of the walls around the Grave Mind and began to fire at him and all the flood beneath. "A little precaution by us!" Yelled Mike at the Grave Mind.

"Commander get out of there" said Tom, Mike and his team ran out of the cave as the mac round hit.

JUN

Jun and the other ran onto the landing pad as the pelican zoomed down opening the back, they all jumped in as the flood chased them. Once they all got in Jun told the pilot to punch it and they zoomed off as another frigate fired its mac round at the facility. Jun caught his breath as Mike contacted him through the coms. "Jun your going to meet up with Alpha team at there main base...got it" said Mike.

"Copy that" said Jun.

The UNSC Raven

Cortana grabbed Nieve and took the kids to the drop pods, they had to stay quiet as UNSC soldiers ran through the halls looking for any rebels. Her heart was beating each time a new soldier would pass, they were almost to the drop pods when the ship shook. The coms came on saying a pelicans just dock, 'More soldiers?' She thought to get herself as her and the kids hid behind a crate. "Mom where's dad" said Ben looking up at his mother. Her heart pounded inside her chest, she needed to make a run for the pod now.

Mike walked down the halls of the frigate, the lights were down the emergency power was off as well, sparks flew out from broken wires in the walls causing him to go blind for a few seconds with night vision on. He looked inside each room, not everyone had survived, some were killed by object that fell on top of them, he walked into the medical lab to see a man in a lab coat laying down on the floor with a shelf on top of him. There was blood coming from the body as he approached it, he lifted up the shelf and looked at the body, glass surrounded it and it had syringes sticking out of it. He pulled over the man to see glass sticking out of his eyes, he read his tag and grabbed the blood covered folder that was in his hand, he opened it and read what was inside. It was a file on Mike and his medical history, he turned the pages and then threw it back down next to the doctor. He looked around the medical lab for anything else, he saw a photo on the wall of a little girl, he stood up and walked over to it. He grabbed the photo to see a little girl with silver hair and eyes, it must have been the doctors daughter, he then grabbed a piece of paper below the picture. 'Nieve Conor age 2 months subject 343, extended growth'. "What the hell were they doing here" he said to himself the girl clearly looked like she was five years old. He put down the paper and photo and left the lab.

Cortana took a deep breath and got out of cover and ran to the drop pod, she placed Nieve down who still couldn't walk, she began to hack the panel to open up the drop pod. "Mom" said Catherine.

"Not now sweetie mommy's busy" said Cortana fiddling with the panel.

"Moooooom" said Catherine sounding scared.

"What is it sweetie" she said looking to her daughter, Catherine pointed down the hall way as her hand shook in fear. Cortana looked to see a man in an armor she never saw before staring at them with four lines of light running down his face. She sat the frozen with fear as the man just stood there looking at them, she waited for him to do something but he didn't then the panel shot out sparks and the lights in the hallway lit up and the drop pod doors opened. Mike looked at Cortana and the kids as well as subject 343 as they ran into the pod, he ran after them as Cortana got into the pilot seat she was about close the doors when the chair was ripped off and thrown into the hallway.

"Oh god I'm so so sorry I was in the moment and it seemed pretty cool to do that in my head" said Mike running to her.

"Mike?!" Yelled Cortana getting up.

"Yeah...came here for my daughter and so happened to run into you guys and that little girl...so I'm guessing she's on the surface" said Mike casually.

"Why did you just stand there in the middle of the hallway like a psychopath?!" Said Cortana.

"Hey it was dark and hard to see okay I was standing still to get a better look at you guys" said Mike.

"God damit" said Cortana walking to her kids who were scared shitless. "Its okay its just uncle Mike you guys".

"Heeey you guuuuys" said Mike waving to them.

"So.." Said Cortana.

"So I'll let you guys go and have fun not dying down there" said Mike cheerfully.

"Thanks?" Said Cortana.

"No prob...oh and um what does my daughter look like" said Mike.

"Like a baby" said Cortana.

"Oh yeah...Okay by" said Mike.

JUN

Jun and the others moved slowly through the thick forest that was on the Ark, the base camp was just a few feet ahead, there was a battle going on. "Why are we moving so slowly" said Tomo.

"Hush" said Jun.

"This is why you don't make a sniper a leader" said Phil.

"Fucking I'm moving up" said Phil running forward.

"Phil don't" said Jun as Phil ran on top of a mine causing him to fly backwards due to the explosion. Phil shot up as his smoke came from his armor.

"How did I survive" said Phil.

Twenty minutes later

Mike ran to the rally point where Python team and the other waited he knelt down behind cover next to Jun. "What's going on?" He asked.

"Were trying to get striker who's pinned down outside the entrance of the base, the chief and his team are in there but they have an onslaught of soldiers out there we told striker to old back and try to injure them at best" said Jun suppressing fire.

"Why?!" Said Mike sounding annoyed. "Kill those fuckers why do you think I brought them along because there so sweet and kind".

"Not everyone can kill another human like you Mike" said Jun getting pissed off. "And Lasky is urging that he sends down more Spartans instead of Marines".

"tell him to not send anyone else because we've got this" said Mike he then got onto the coms. "Striker...don't hold back...slaughter those bastards". Mike got up and ran to Striker teams positions, he looked back at the other who just sat there behind cover. "Well come on faggots lets go capture a traitor.

Lasky stood on the bridge looking down at the battle the went on below, he wanted to end this quickly with minimal casualties on both sides but Mike rather have both die. "Sir slip space rupture!" Said a person.

"Where?!" Said Lasky. All of a sudden a blast came from the other side of the Ark, Tom watched as all the frigates around the Infinity lost power and begun to fall to the surface of the ark, he then looked to see a slipspace portal open and creature come out of it, it had multiple arms and look centipede like as its body came out of the portal.

Ark surface

"That ones early" said Bias through the coms.

"That's a precursor" said Tony suddenly a pelican crashed besides them followed by frigates in other regions of the Ark. "Holy shit!".

"Everyone get inside now?!" Yelled Mike.

The Infinity

"Sir what do we do" said Sarah running up to Tom.

"Mac round" said Tom.

"Sir the Mac round and several other systems are down".

"Then what is working" said Tom.

"The engines sir". Tom looked to Sarah and back to his crew.

"Because there forerunner" said Tom under his breath."lieutenant full speed ahead" said Tom looking to one of the crew members.

"Tom what are you doing" said Sarah walking up to him.

"Ram it" said Tom, he looked up at the Spartan commander. "Any escape pods working".

"No...not even the ODST drop pods" said Sarah.

"Then its been a pleasure Commander Palmer" said Tom handing her a com piece linked to the Mikes team. "Make it quick".

The Ark surface

Mike and his team ran towards the entrance of the base as ships and debris fell from the sky they couldn't get there as fast due to the fact that there suits systems were shut down. They could still move quickly but boost to help them move faster was gone so the relied an there pure strength and speed to get there. Mike on the other was fine since the blast had no effect on his armor but he stayed behind the group making sure no one was left behind. "Mike" said Sarah over the coms.

"What is it" said Mike.

"Where not going to see each other again" said Sarah tearing up.

"What are you talking about" said Mike stopping and looking up at the I Infinity.

"The precursor...we're going to ram it with the ship" said Sarah.

"What?!" Said Mike.

"Take care of my Spartans commander" said Sarah passing the come piece to Tom.

"Your on your own commander...Infinity out" said Tom crushing the coms piece.

"Infinity?...Infinity?!" Said Mike.

"Mike!" Yelled Meghan grabbing his hand. "come on!". Mike watched as the Precursor broke off a piece of the Ark shaping it into a giant gun and firing it at the Infinity He was brought out of the trance he was in as a Hornet crashed in front of him. Mike then looked at Meghan and ran with her as they ran a frigate crashed besides them and began to collapse towards them. As it fell forward Meghan grabbed Mike and threw him forward into the base with the other as it fell on top of her.

The Infinity

Tom stood back up after the ship took the hit from the gun the Precursor just made out of thin air. "Put all power into the engines... we need to hit that son of a bitch before it fires again" said Tom. He stood there looking at the giant alien as the ship got closer and closer to it he watched as the gun lit up but this time it was aimed at the bridge. "Prime the nukes". he closed his eyes as the gun fired again destroying the bridge and causing the ship to dive bomb into the Precursor causing all nukes on bored to explode taking the Precursor with the ship.

The Ark

Mike stood up as the smoke cleared up in the hallway he looked around as the others did the same, he looked behind him to see the way out was blocked by rubble. He looked at the wall of rock and metal that stood in font of them looking for a way out, then his eyes set upon Meghan who had the lower half of her body crushed under the rubble. He immediately dropped to his knees taking off her helmet she was still alive but slowly fading. "Patty!" Yelled Mike. Patty ran over to them with her med kit.. "Help me get her out". They both pulled as hard as they could, she moved slightly out but some of the rocks fell on top of them.

"We can't move her or this entire thing will come down on us" said Patty, everyone began to circle around and watched as she laid there slowly breathing. Meghan smiled and looked up at Mike and smiled.

"Its okay boss...I know I'm not gonna make it" she said coughing up blood.

"No don't say that were going to get you out of there" said Mike pulling again, she grabbed his hand and pushed it away.

"Its no use Mike...I...I'm done" said Meghan.

"Meghan stay with us" said Patty as Meghan's hand fell and her breathing stopped.

"Meghan?...Meghan!...don't do this Meghan come on!" Said Mike trying to wake her up. He began to pull her free again but was pulled back by Douglas and away from the body. "Meghan!".

JOHN

"What's going on?" Said John as Linda came back from scouting the area.

"We're stuck in here...I don't know what happed but hall exits are close" said Linda walking up to him and the other. John looked back to Cortana and the kids who were sitting on some boxes, he walked up to them and took off his helmet.

"How you holding up?" Asked John.

"A bit shaken up but well make it" said Cortana looking down at Catharine and Ben. John looked over to Kelly and Rodger who were asleep with Neive, it's been thirty two hours since Mike had branded them traitors to the UNSC. He understood Mike's anger but couldn't he see that he allowed the Grave Mind to do that to end those peoples suffering, it's not like he did it with out there permission in fact he was reluctant about it but they wanted to end it so badly and their curiosity got the best of them. John put his helmet back on and walked up to Fred and Linda.

"What now Chief?" Asked Fred.

"We wait" said John.

MIKE

Mike sat in the middle of the hallway away from the body, Douglas and Jerome sat with him making sure he didn't do anything irrational. "You all right sir?" Asked Douglas.

"Still shaking, my breathings getting back to normal and my heart is racing" said Mike.

"Hold in there commander" said Jerome patting him on the back.

"Enough with this pity shit" said Mike. "What's going on with you guys?".

"Not much sir right now were just trying to make it through this day alive" said Jerome.

"Got any girls?" Asked Mike.

"No sir" said Douglas and Jerome.

"Any guys?" He said, they both shook their heads in response. "Your lives are boring".

"Yeah that's true" said Douglas.

"The chiefs in here" said Mike looking at the two. "I'm going to find him...wanna come along".

"As long as you don't go back there" said Douglas standing up. The three of them walked the halls of the base, alert as ever Mike held a light rifle in his hands while Douglas had a spartan laser and Jerome a shot gun.

Flashback

Mike walked up to Rodger, its been two months since there discovery of what the sound waves can do to the Prometheans, and now some higher ups from ONI were coming to see what they could do. Rodger sat down in a chair smoking a cigarette, he looked nervous and he was constantly tapping on the counter. "You okay there man?" Asked Mike.

"I don't know man this is pretty big deal...what if we mess up or they make us do something we don't want to do" said Rodger taking a drag.

"You know that shits going to kill you right" said Mike pointing to the cigarette.

"It helps calm me down...and if I'm lucky it'll kill me before ONI comes today" said Rodger.

"Yeah not everyone is so lucky" said Mike sitting down across from him. "Look knowing ONI they are definitely going to make us do some unethical shit".

"What do we do then?" Asked Rodger.

"Do some unethical shit" said Mike. "For our families".

"I have no family" said Rodger.

"Then for mine" said Mike, Rodger grinned and shook his head.

"Okay" said Rodger putting out the cigarette.

"Good now lets get ready okay" said Mike standing up.

Flashback Fin

Mike walked down slowly to the yellow and red dots on his radar they were in a room ahead of them Mike and Jerome got on both sides beside the door while Douglas prepared to breach. "Sir the red dots are leaving the room" said Jerome through the coms.

"Then they know were here...prepare for heavy resistance" said Mike, he then looked to Douglas and raised his fist. "On my mark...three two...mark". Douglas kicked open the door firing his SMG at blue team as Mike and Jerome followed behind him. John signaled for Fred and Linda to split up, Fred nodded and ran with Linda down a hallway to the right. Joh then quickly ran behind cover with Kelly. "Jerome, Douglas follows those two...these ones are mine".

"YES SIR!" Yelled Jerome and Douglas following Fred and Linda.

"We've got to draw them away from the others" said John to Kelly over their private coms, Kelly nodded in agreement and she stood up and fired at Mike who dived out of the way. Mike quickly returned fire at Kelly who was retreating into a corridor to the right as John covered her. Then John followed her, Mike yelled in frustration as he ran after them down the corridor. Douglas tackled Linda onto the ground causing her to drop her sniper, Fred turned around to help her but was quickly stopped by Jerome.

"How's it going man Haven't seen you since boot camp" said Fred to Jerome.

"Complicated" said Jerome kneeing Fred in the ribs.

"Tell me about it" said Fred head butting Jerome, Jerome fell back as Fred stomped on his chest. Linda struggled to get out of Douglas's grasp as he pulled out his knife. He was about to stab her when Fred kicked him in the head causing him to fall back as well. Jerome then got behind Fred and put him in a head lock and dragging him away from Linda and Douglas.

"So Doug how's the leg" said Linda driving her foot into his shin causing him to fall on one knee.

"Still my only weakness Linda" said Douglas getting back up.

"I'll give you some new ones...ya know give some excitement to your live" said Linda swinging her leg at his face, he immediately caught it with his hand and shoved it to the side.

"No thanks my life's pretty exciting as it is" said Douglas punching Linda in the stomach. Fred tried to get free of Jerome's grasp but couldn't, so he decided to give Linda some assistants, he pulled out his Knife throwing it at Douglas. He caught it but left himself open to Linda's fist as she hit him on the side of his head. Douglas the drove the knife into Linda's ribcage. "You know I always did have a crush on you...especially with your beautiful red hair".

"Thank you but I'm taken" said Linda kicking Douglas in the shine and then kneeing him in the face as he fell down. Fred elbowed Jerome as hard as he could but the more he did the more Jerome tightened his grip.

"No hard feeling buddy but we had orders to kill on sight" said Jerome choking Fred. Linda then punched Jerome knocking him down and began to ran with Fred as they got away from Jerome and Douglas. "She's still the Linda I remember".

"And Fred" said Douglas.

"His love for Knives has faded" said Jerome getting up.

"She's got a mean sniper" said Douglas picking up Nornfang.

MIKE

Mike chased down John and Kelly through the base, he was getting sick and tired of running and wanted to catch them already Kelly he understood, that's why they call her the rabbit but John, how fast could he run. Soon after a while all he could see was Kelly and he wasn't even mad in fact this is his favorite view of her and you could probably figure out why. He was so close to her that he could almost touch the booty but when he reached out to grab her he was tackled down from the right by John, the two fell to the floor as the grappled. "Ah the old eagle and the Rabbit trick" said Mike blocking Johns punches.

"You played and excellent wolf Mike" said John punching as hard as he could.

"This wolf is going to have poultry tonight" said Mike trying to kick himself free. "And then I'm going to eat the little bunny rabbit". Mike shoved John off of him he got up was immediately kicked in the face by Kelly. "God dame you guys are pissed". Kelly screamed as she charged at Mike, she jumped on top of him and began to throw punches.

"I hate you!" Yelled Kelly slamming her fist into Mike's helmet.

"Finally your on the top I was tired of being the one who had to do all the work in bed" said Mike kicking her off and throwing a knife at John's shoulder. John then pulled the knife out and broke it in half.

"Why won't you understand Mike...I did it for a good reason" said John punching Mike in the face.

"I understand you let the Grave Mind turn those people into abominations...you of all people should know my views on the flood" said Mike kicking John in the just knocking him back. "And his somewhere else instead of my face will ya".

"What I did was end there suffering the way they wanted to" said John round house kicking Mike's ribs.

"What you did was make them slaves of a creature that wishes us dead" said Mike punching John in the stomach. "And you" Mike Grabbed Kelly's leg and threw her into the wall. "What did I ever do to deserve this hate, all I've done was love you care for you and yes I put you in some danger but Joh did the same with Cortana!" Mike kicked her back down as she tried to get back up. "But then you left me for Rodger after he wiped out the Prometheans in the fucking presentation!" Mike drove is foot into her visor shattering it, John then grabbed Mike and threw him away from her.

"Are you alright" said John helping her up.

"I'm fine" said Kelly taking off her helmet.

"Oh and where is Rodger huh?!...He better not fucking be with my child!" Said Mike kicking John in the back of his causing him to get down on his knee. Kelly Jumped at Mike with her knife in her hand, the two fell to the ground as Kelly tried to drive the knife in his neck.

"There's no use Kelly you can't puncture this armor" said Mike pushing the knife away.

"Then why are you fighting back" said Kelly forcing the knife down as hard as she can. Mike Sighed and let the knife fall but before it hit his neck he turned it around and drove it into her neck. He froze there as the blood from her neck fell top of his helmet he watched as her shocked expression slowly faded away. 'What have I done' he thought as he held tightly onto the knife.

"KELLY!" Her heard John scream as he ran towards them. Mike pushed Kelly's body off of him taking the knife out of her neck, he then got out of the way as John fell besides his friend. John became frantic and tried to stop the bleeding from her neck but it was to late, she was already gone. "No...Kelly no" John began to tear up as he held her body close to him. Mike slowly got up and walked out of the room the knife still clutched in his hand. He wasn't going to kill Joh anymore, he was tried of killing.

RODGER

Rodger ran with Cortana and the Kids to the rally point with Fred and Linda he hoped Kelly was alright and even more hoped Mike was as well. The thought of Kelly's death haunted his mind, he stopped in the hall way with his mind set on one thing. He needed to find her, something felt wrong. "What is it Rodger?" Asked Cortana stopping at well.

"Take her" said Rodger.

"What are you doing" she asked as he ran the other way.

"I need to find Kelly" he yelled as he turned the Corner. It's been thirty minutes as Rodger searched for Kelly and after thirty one he stood at the end of one hallway frozen in fear at what he saw. Mike stood there breathing heavily with his right arm covered in blood and his hand grasping a knife.

"I change my mind!" Yelled Mike across the hallway.

"What are you talking about?" Asked Rodger very worried. "Who's blood is that" his heart raced at the thought of it being Kelly's.

"I'm not tired of killing...not until your dead" said Mike walking forward. Rodger stood there knowing he could not out run the Spartan.

"Mike please think about this" said Rodger.

"Where are they" said Mike.

"Who?" Said Rodger.

"My child" said Mike filled with anger as he approached Rodger.

"With Cortana" said Rodger standing his ground. Mike stood there in silence looking down at Rodger."Who's blood is that".

"Yours now" said Mike quickly driving the knife into Rodgers neck and pulling it out causing the blood from his neck to shoot out onto Mike. Rodger fell to the floor as his blood spilling onto the floor. "Let's just pray I don't have to Kill his wife and kids".

CORTANA

Cortana stood at the rally point waiting for Fred and Linda to come she was worried now, nobody had said anything for over an hour the coms were completely silent. She held on to her pistol tightly as she looked off into the darkness from the other side of the room. She knelt down and looked at Catharine. "Mommy's going to need you to be a big girl right now okay" said Cortana, she looked at Ben and Nieve. "You guys two okay...I need you guys to watch over each other and I need you guys to run as fast as you can away from here" just then a bullet flew past them, Cortana turned around to see a flood combat form limping forward. "Now". Catharine nodded and looked at the others telling them to follow her.

"What's going on" said Nieve holding Ben's hand.

"I don't know but we just need to leave" said Catharine. Cortana fired at the flood making sure it didn't notice the kids as the ran once it was dead she thought it was over and then more came out of the shadows the more she killed the more came soon the surrounded her.

"I was betrayed" said The Grave Mind through the flood."So are truce is over" then the flood began to move in on her she fired he pistol until the clip was empty then she was shot. She fell to the ground, she tried to get up but couldn't she couldn't mover her legs. Mike stood there watching the smoke leave his pistol, he then fired upon the flood directing them away from Cortana.

"Traitor!" Yelled the Grave Mind as the flood ran after him. He ran down the hall, tuned around and jumped over them as he threw a grenade in the crowed of flood, once he landed her threw to more, when the first one went off it prematurely set off the other two engulfing the crowd in fire. He then walked back into the room where Cortana laid paralyzed on the ground.

"Mike!" Yelled Cortana trying to get up.

"It's no use your paralyzed" said Mike calmly taking the knife on his thigh out of it's sheath, he then place the one he killed Kelly and Rodger with into it and threw the other on the ground.

"Why are you covered in blood" said Cortana.

"Save your breath" he said picking her up. "Your extremely calm for someone whose just been paralyzed from the waist down".

"And how did I become paralyzed?" Asked Cortana.

"A flood combat form shot you in your spin" he said lying to her.

"Exactly" she said wrapping her arms around his neck. Suddenly the room shook, both of them looked around looking from the source.

"We need to go" said Mike, but as soon as he began to run the ceiling fell on top of them.
