Everyone had gathered into the living room. All giving comforting words to Tai. Tai weakly smiled at everyone, to reassure them their old leader would be okay. His brown eyes then noticed Izzy emerge from Takato's bedroom. A laptop under his left arm. Tai's eyes then moved over as Izzy was joined by someone. A brown haired boy with light brownish eyes with a tint of red to them. Tai's smile grew at the sight of his nephew.
"Takato." Tai said as he stood up. Everyone looked back at Takato and Izzy.
Emiko grinned, and her dark blue eyes lit up. "I'm glad you're okay!" She exclaimed happily, making the boy blush.
"How are you feeling?" Kari asked with a pleasent smile from her seat on the arm of the chair Tai was once sitting in.
Takato nodded. "Better." Kari smiled with her eyes.
Takato stumbled when something bumped into his legs and wrapped around them. He looked down and smiled. Raiden smiled up at his cousin, his blue eyes sparkling with a new kind of admiration.
"Everyone was worried about you, but I wasn't!" T.K. smirked to himself listening to his son's words.
Takato picked up the smaller boy, looking at him. "Oh yeah? Why not?"
"Because I know you are strong! And you will always be my cousin." Raiden giggled slightly, even after seeing a red phase go through his cousin's eyes. He might had been afraid at first when seeing his older cousin try to digivolve, but he soon told himself, no matter what, it was still his cousin. It still will always be, Takato.
Takato's eyes glimmered with unshed tears and hugged his cousin close. "I love you, buddy." He whispered to him.
"Aww." Sora placed her hand over her heart as she adored the scene. Matt smirked at his wife's loving side. Love was her Crest, so it made sense for her to get a little emotional at seeing it be displayed. Sora wished so dearly her daughter could display the same kind of affection.
A shadow then came over the two boys. They looked up and Tai gently ruffled Takato's hair. "I'm sorry about earlier, champ. It won't ever happen again."
Takato smiled then brought his Uncle into a group hug. Tai smiled down contently at his nephews and hugged them lovingly.
"We should get started." Izzy finally interrupted the loving moment. He then made his way into his office.
Everyone looked after Izzy.
"Start what?" T.K. asked.
"Getting Max back." Izzy glanced back at them, then got into his office and turned on all his computers.
Everyone grinned.
"Alright, that's what I'm talking about!" Tai cheered with a fist in front of him.
"About time." Matt teased then exchanging a smirk with Tai.
Kari giggled. "I knew he would crumble." Sora nodding in agreement with a sharing smile.
Ryo seemed to sigh in relief. He was missing his partner, Cyberdramon, dearly. He couldn't even imagine how long it had been in the Digital World that they had been apart from each other. Emiko too seemed eager to rejoin her weasel like partner, Kudamon. Kimi on the other hand, did not look to thrilled. She actually looked stunned. Her mouth just hung open, and Ryo couldn't help but pick fun at her.
"Yay! Mom, dad, I can show you Dorimon! He's the best!" Raiden was let down and he ran over to his parents excitedly.
"You aren't going." Izzy's voice was firm as he now stood in the doorway to his office.
"Huh?" Emiko gasped.
"None of the children are going."
"What?!" Takato shouted, shocked and a bit angered by his father's words.
Izzy looked sternly at his son. "That is final. Now, Tai, Matt, let's make a game plan." The brunette and blonde followed the red head into his office to talk strategies.
"This is stupid!" Takato basically growled as he kicked at a rock outside.
All the children went outside while the adults talked things out in doors.
"We have every right to go! We can fend for ourselves!" Takato's hands were in tight fists.
Emiko, remember what happened earlier when Takato got upset, tried to settle the boy down. "True..but they are the adults, Takato. I'm sure they will have no problem getting her back in no time."
"I have to agree with Takato. I understand they are the adults but I was in the Digital World for a long time before meeting you guys. I'm worried about my partner. If things are as bad as they say they are there, who knows what is happening to our Digimon?" Ryo caught Emiko off guard, and now she looked down as she wondered if her own partner was okay.
"They are Digimon, they can take care of themselves." Kimi chimed in as she sat on a cement wall.
Takato glared at the naive red head. "So what if they are Digimon? With us they can digivolve and become stronger! The Digital World has came to humans for years looking for our help, so obviously, it doesn't matter if they are just, Digimon. And ya know, Digimon can still get hurt, Kimi."
Kimi glared back at the boy, even though he was making good points. "Even if they get deleted they come back to Primary Village, though!"
"My mother is there, Ishida!" Kimi jumped as Takato shouted in her face, her eyes big and wide now. "Do you think she will go to Primary Village?!" Kimi's mouth opened but she couldn't think of anything to say back. She hadn't even thought about that.
"Takato, come on, relax. Come with me." Emiko grabbed a hold of Takato's arm with both her hands and pulled him away from the shocked redhead. She led him away from the group.
"Ya know Kimi," Ryo started, and she looked up at him, noticing him rub the back of his neck. "I think you are a beautiful girl, and you have a lot of confidence but your pride gets in your way. You have this diva type attitude, and honestly, you need to start thinking before you speak. Not everyone is out to get you, and you can't always be right. I've seen the way you treat your mom, and the way you've treated Biyomon, and I must say, I am disappointed. I would do anything to have my mom back, Kimi. You need to cherish yours. And for your partner, she loves you. She would die for you." Ryo shook his head. "Life is too short, and you were privliaged to become a Digidestined. Be thankful for what you have...before its all gone." Ryo then, taking Raiden's hand who was standing beside him, walked back inside the house. Leaving an even more shocked Kimi, who pulled her legs up against her chest.
"She is just so, uughh! She gets under my skin." Takato grumbled as he and Emiko finally stopped walking through the woods.
"I know," Emiko told him, looking around at the beauty of the forest. "She does with all of us." The dark blue haired girl looked over at the brunette as she heard him mumbling to himself under his breath. She placed her hand on his back, making him look at her. She smiled. "Everything will be alright."
Takato stared into the girl's dark eyes and he started to feel a hot sensation rise in his gut. He smiled back at her. His smile made the girl blush. "I'm glad I met you, Emi. You're a great girl."
Emiko blushed even brighter. "Thanks, Takato. You're pretty great guy too. I wouldn't change anything about you." She then placed a kiss on his cheek.
Takato instantly turned into the shade of a tomato, making Emi giggle. He grinned as his hand rose to his cheek where she had kissed him. He then looked at her. "Emi..do you want-"
"Takato, Emiko! The adults are gone!" Ryo's voice yelled from the back door of the house. Takato and Emiko rushed back to the house.
Sure enough, once the children had searched the house, no one was to be found.
"They really left without us.." Ryo almost seemed to frown.
"Where did they go? To get pizza?" Raiden asked, rubbing his chin.
"The DigiWorld." Takato said as he brushed his hands through his hair, looking around his father's office. On one of the computers there was a note. Takato picked it up, and imediatly knew the handwriting as his father's.
Stay home! I love you.
Emiko, who was looking over Takato's shoulder at the note semi-frowned then asked. "So, what do we do?"
"We go after them."
Everyone looked back at Kimi in surprise. She was the last person they expected to say that. But nobody complained. Takato and Ryo smirked at the red head and nodded in agreement.
"So let's do this!" Emiko cheered.
Happy Digiegg Day! :P
Wow, well its about time someone put Kimi in her place, I think it got through to her, don't you? But Takato made a good point, what would happen to his mother in the Digital World if defeated? Kind of a scary thought! Now we can understand why the adults were all so upset and tense. I hope they all make it to Max in time! Come back to find out in another chapter of,
