Author's Note:
Hello yes this fanfic is alive I just had no idea what to make this chapter at all.
So I decided 'fluff it lets finally get to the action already'
that's all there is to say really.
Chapter 19
"So I'm sure you two boys know why I brought you over here!"
Kairi had brought Roxas and Ven to her little 'witches cottage', the twins a bit confused yet curious. "Probably something about what we came over about a few days ago?" Ven asked. "Correct! Euria informed me of how you all were planning to take on that succubus. I have managed to find a little something that will grant you a bit more of the upperhand if you really wish to fight." Kairi explained, opening one of the books she had in a small stack. "So we will be able to go after Larxene the moment she tries any funny business..." Roxas looked over Kairi's shoulder to try to read the book himself.
"Well, it will take a few days to get the ingredients together and have it made for both of you. But yes. So hopefully a certain someone will stop being so grumpy about a certain vampire..." Kairi looked over to Roxas. "Huh? I haven't been grumpy!" Roxas protested. "Roxas, you've been wearing silver non stop and you've had garlic breath for about a week. You need to chill out and forgive Axel already." Ven said, crossing his arms. Roxas just gave a small huff. "Thanks for telling us..." He muttered.
"So you really aren't going to tell Sora about this?" Euria was sitting on a little perch in her cat form, observing the conversation.
"I know it sounds like we don't trust him, but we do..." Ven said. "Trust me, Riku doesn't like the idea of using Sora as bait at all. But I think if he found out that Ranelle was really Larxene and really a succubus... well, that might spell out trouble." Roxas said. "If you say so. Honestly I think you all should have a bit more faith in the pup. But I can't stop you from not telling him..." Kairi gave a small sigh. "I just hope he doesn't get hurt when he finds out the truth in the end..." Ven frowned. With that, the twins soon left, leaving Kairi and Euria on their own.
"Ranelle is really a succubus...?" Sora peaked out from the other room, the two calling him over to find out the truth. "Sorry you had to find out about it by eavesdropping." Euria said, looking concerned for the brunette even in her feline form. "The boys really are concerned about your safety, they just... oh, I don't know why they had so little faith in you. Especially Riku with all things considered..." Kairi gave a small sigh. "Really? Why Riku?" Sora asked. "Oh, well... he's just known you more than they do... which is probably why he's a bit more uneasy about you not knowing the truth."
Sora gave a small nod. "Well... I am a bit upset that they didn't tell me, but I guess I can see why."
"They all do care about you. Which is probably why they're all working to ambush this succubus before she tries to do anything to hurt you. Like... you know." Kairi frowned. "Hmph. well she won't really be able to 'ambush' me now that I know the truth. Honestly they should've told me about their plan. I wouldn't have confronted her about it. and I would've told them if she was planning to do anything 'suspicious'. But... whatever they think was best." Sora gave a small shrug. "Huh. You really are smart when you want to be." Euria gave a soft purring noise.
"Well if you want to help, the potion for Ven and Roxas requires some werewolf blood. If you'd be willing to lend a few drops or so." Kairi explained. "Oh, of course. Anything else that I could get that you need?" Sora asked. "Oh no. We appreciate the offer, but leave gathering ingredients to the Familiar~" Euria said, gesturing to herself with a paw. Sora gave a soft chuckle, while Kairi just rolled her eyes. "But we do need you to keep 'Ranelle' occupied until the potion is finished. That was when she does try anything the potion will be ready for the boys..."
"Right. You can count on me!"

Of course, everyone had quickly lost track of time with getting ready to put their 'plan' in motion. Riku usually had a calender when taking in pups to keep track of when a full moon was, but he had yet to go and grab one for Sora. One evening Ranelle had come to the mansion to talk to Sora, which Riku found odd since she never did so before. And what she came to talk to Sora about was a bit strange. "You want to have a picnic this late in the day? And out in the forest while the wolves are still around?" Sora wasn't so sure of what to think about the request either.
"Oh, it'll be fun. I heard from a person in town about a spot where the wolves won't bother us, and I already go the spot settled down with some nice warm food! Wouldn't it be romantic to have a nice little date out at the woods at night? Watching the stars, enjoying the nice fresh air..." Ranelle smiled. "It... does sound nice." Sora said, sounding a bit unsure. "If... that's okay with you, Riku."He said. Riku knew for a fact this sounded nothing but suspicious, taking this as a signal. "Oh, of course. You two have fun..." He faked a small smile.
"Thank you!" With that Ranelle quickly dragged Sora away, leaving Riku to gather the others to tell them about what had occured.
Sora followed Ranelle, sensing the suspicious aura about the situation. But he went along to allow everyone time to prepare. Ranelle led him into the woods, a smile on her face. "Don't you think you should let me take the lead?" He asked. "But you wouldn't know which way to go silly! I know where the spot it. Unless you wanted to be out in front to protect me!" Ranelle gave a soft laugh, keeping a friendly aura. "Well, yes. There are still wolves around, after all..." Sora frowned. "Of course. You're really sweet..." Ranelle placed a soft kiss to Sora's cheek.
They soon arrived at a clearing in the woods, and there was a nice little area set down for a picnic... but no picnic basket. "Oh no! I guess those wolves got a hold of the food..." Ranelle frowned. Sora honestly wasn't falling for it, but decided to play along. "Oh, that's awful. You must have worked so hard on that food..." He said, keeping an eye around. A chorus of growling and snarling caused both of them to freeze. A small group of four or five wolves appeared, surrounding the two. "I thought you said wolves didn't show up around here..." Sora was definitely on edge now.
Ranelle stayed quiet, instead taking a few steps forward towards the wolves.
"Hey!"Sora couldn't help but call out to her. She may have been a succubus, but she didn't have to go and get herself attacked by wolves. So instead he rushed into a bit of a bad decision. He took a deep breath and let out a loud wolf-like howl. The pack of wolves seemed to perk up at the howl, Ranelle turning to Sora in surprise. Sora made a motion to shoo away the wolves, letting out another howl. Surprisingly the attempt to communicate worked, the wolves running away. "So... You're a werewolf..." Ranelle spoke up, keeping her back to Sora.
Sora took the chance to charge at Ranelle, only to gasp as he was quickly thrown back by a quick swing of the arm. He felt his back hit a nearby tree trunk, groaning. Ranelle started laughing, an amused look on her face. "How hilarious! Thinking you could sneak up on me... I'm impressed. How long did you know the truth about me, hmmm?" As Sora tried to get to his feet, Ranelle had his hands and legs pinned to the tree with magical bindings. "Long enough! You aren't going to get with this, Larxene!" Sora let out his own little snarling noise.
Of course, he was kind of expecting Larxene to laugh at his 'declaration of triumph'.
"Oh, I think you're mistaken, mutt..." A dark swirl of mist covered 'Ranelle', clearing to reveal Larxene in her true Succubus form. "You may think you're little vampire friend is going to save you, but I have a trick up my sleeve for him..." She floated in mid-air on her leathery wings, a mischievous aura to her. "You see, I was going to just send the wolves away. My powers allows me to... allow other creatures to do my bidding. It works especially well on werewolves during a full moon to turn them on vampires or other werewolves..." She gently caressed along Sora's face before harshly tugging at his cheeks.
"So what? You're going to just keep me here until the full moon? Not the best plan, is it? That'll take too long..." Sora frowned, only to grow more confused as Larxene started laughing. "Oh, how precious! You're nothing but a little pup! Do you even know why you were able to tame those wolves by just howling at them? Why do you think I chose tonight of all nights for a 'romantic picnic'?" Larxene asked. "Y-you mean... tonight is..." Sora's eyes widened, feeling himself grow pale. "Oh, you poor little pup. Don't worry, you won't even feel remorse over it. And once the vampire wears himself out killing you, I'll make him the main course." Larxene let out another cackle in pride, seeing how scared Sora looked.
Sora really hoped everyone was prepared enough for this 'plan' of theirs...
Alright so this chapter may seem really short compared to the last few chapters.
but trust me in me saying that the next chapter will probably the longest of the fic...maybe.
But next chapter tune in for action finally!
