In the previous chapter: "Hey Berry, You ok? You look kinda crappy" He said quietly as he turned completely and started walking with her to her locker.

"No, I am absolutely disappointed Noah.. I had the most amazing dream that seemed so real and well, great but that's all it was. A dream" she sighed as she reached her locker and opened it, putting her school bag on the lower part.

"What was it about?" Puck tilted his head as Rachel told him in as basic detail as she could, Puck smirked slightly as Rachel blushed at remembered certain events she didn't dare tell puck.

"Alright so, You want me to set up a date between you and Chang?" Puck finally just said interrupting some of what she was saying.

"What's with you and calling people by their last names, Noah?" Rachel asked sarcastically as she finally closed her locker.

"I'll take that as a yes, Be at bread-sticks by 6:30 pm sharp Berry and if you're late, remember, I know where you live and will guarantee you. I'll come get you and take you there myself" he said blandly and walked back in the direction towards Matt and Mike.

Rachel blushed and went to her first class, hoping not to see Mike for the rest of the day. I mean how embarrassing was it to have Noah Puckerman setting up a date with someone you hardly know because of a very realistic dream? Although, it couldn't hurt to try it. She hadn't really been on much of a date before, so it might be fun.

It was all just a dream

Rachel sat quietly at table 16 in the back of Breadsticks, she'd received a text from Puck confirming Mike and her's date for that night. She was actually a little shocked he'd accepted, she remembered her dream. Every detail seemed to replay over and over in her head. How charming he was, how clumsy he was, how he came to her rescue many many times. She also remembered a few of the other events in her dream, of course it was a dream, in the span of two weeks how could all that bad stuff of happened to her around the same time she got a super protective hot boyfriend whom she dreamt about having sex with! 'Oh god' she thought, how embarrassing.

"Hey Rach" Mike said nervously

Rachel jumped, she was so lost in thought she didn't even notice him walking in or up to her at the table.

"Hi Mike!" She said just as nervously.

"I'm was a little taken back by Puck organising this…" He said as he sat down next to her in a somewhat comfortable chair.

"I Uh.. yeah.. Sorry, this is going to be super awkward isn't it?" She stumbled wondering what on earth she was thinking, should she run out and pretend this wasn't happening, should she explain to Mike all about her dream? Maybe they'll laugh about it together. 'Isn't it silly to have a date based solely on a dream, what am i doing' She wondered picking up a menu to hide her embarrassment.

"It doesn't have to be" he said grabbing the top of her menu and pulling it down to reveal her face "Why did you want to have a date with me?" He wondered.

"I…" 'don't have an excuse….' She tried to hard to think of something, anything rather than what she said next "Had a dream about you… well, both of us actually"

Mike smiled with a half smirk.

"Is that so?" He noticed her getting embarrassed "Tell me about it?"

Rachel smiled nervously again and took a soft deep breath in and told him all about it. They talked for hours, ordering their food, laughing at Mike and her dancing to a Britney Spears song. Until it was around 10pm and the place was starting to look deserted.

"It's a huge shame you had to wake up Rach, I would've been really interested in knowing how that story ended" Mike said as he got out his wallet to pay the cheque that had been sitting on the table for the past hour and half.

"No no, I insist on paying, if you could sit through me telling you all about a crazy dream I had and agreeing to this crazy arrangement that Noah organised. I think you deserve free pasta" Rachel said gesturing for Mike to put his wallet away.

Mike smiled and placed his wallet on the table leaning in a little closer to Rachel.

"Rach, I agreed because I've actually liked you for a long time now" Mike said confidently, he would never of said this at the beginning but after hearing Rachel tell him something he'd consider quite personal and the time they spent laughing together and talking, he felt comfortable enough to share.

Rachel looked at him wide-eyed, frozen somewhere between getting cash out of her wallet and reading the cheque to make sure she tipped just the right amount.

"What?" She said looking at him in the eyes to try and judge what he was going to say next. She couldn't.

"I've spent the last few months watching you and Puck, kinda jealous. I know nothing's going on between the two of you, but he gets to spend time with you and talk to you.." Mike explained, getting cash out of his wallet and paying everything, including a pretty good tip for the waiter who had to stick around while they decided what they wanted for a little longer than it should take. "So please let me be the gentlemen and pay, even just this once because I'd really like to go out again?" He sounded so hopeful.

"I would actually love that Mike, I had a lot of fun" Rachel said blushing.

Mike felt proud to be the one who made Rachel blush, he walked her to her car with his hands awkwardly in his pockets, he didn't know if it was too soon to hug her, hold her hand or give her a little kiss. He'd only ever dated cherrio's and they're very.. hands on.

"Good night Mike" Rachel said sweetly "See you at school tomorrow?"

"Definitely" Mike said, thinking to himself how lucky he was to be going to the same school as Rachel Berry.

Rachel got into her car and Mike stood close by waving and just as she shut her door Mike smirked and said "Sweet dreams" with a cute wink. Rachel blushed a dark red while starting her car.

Mike wandered towards his chuckling to himself, what a night he thought.

7 years, man it's been a long time since this story has been updated! I never even got to my favourite part I wanted to write! Plus i sprung the dream thing and then left it there! Jeez i'm awful, haha hope you still enjoy. I know I do, hopefully the spelling and grammar are better too !
