The Family We've Become Chapter 20, a pretty little liars fanfic

Maya POV:

I woke up our last day here and look over at Emily's naked back. I could see the goose bumps form as I slowly dragged my index finger up her spine. She was sound asleep and I couldn't help but stare at this beautiful women lying next to me. I smiled moving the hair out of her face and lying back on my pillow and just staring at her sleeping form. I rested my hand on her lower back gently moving my thumb back and forth making sure not to wake her.

"I love you so much Emily. I don't know how my life would have turned out if you didn't walk into that club years ago. Or if we never met. You have made me the happiest woman on this earth. I love waking up to you every morning and going to bed with you every night. I know I've done some stupid things over the years and I'm blessed that you stayed with me through all of it. You are my one in a million. My soulmate. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I still get butterflies every time we kiss or you look at me. You still set my body on fire. I want to continue spending eternity with you mi amor. I love you sharky." I lightly press a kiss to her lips and climb out of bed to make her breakfast.

Emily POV:

The feel of Maya finger lightly traveling up my spine woke me. I kept my eyes close enjoying the feeling of her soft touches. I could feel her staring at me. I went to go open my eyes to look at those beautiful brown eyes I love when she started to speak.

she kissed me then climbed out of bed. I hear the door open and I open my eyes letting a tear roll down my face. I check my phone and read a message from Emma updating me on the twins. I smiled grabbing my robe then going to search for my wife. She was standing at the stove cooking. Music played softly in the background and she danced along to it. She was whining slowly and I followed the motions of her hips as I get right up on her dancing along. she jumps a little but backs back into me. I grip her hips kissing her neck softly. I trail kissing down her neck then licking up.

She lets a moan slip past her lips and I smile continuing my actions. she turns in my arms wrapping hers around my neck attacking my lips. I turn the eye off lifting her on the counter focusing my attention all on my wife.

she pulls back resting her forehead against mine. "What's gotten into you?" she asked pecking my lips. "I love you too Mayan." I peck her lips before continuing. "I can't wait to spend eternity with you too." she blushed dropping her head from mine. I lifted her chin. "Don't hide that beautiful face. I love watching you blush."

"How much of that did you hear?" I raised my eye brow. " I heard everything I needed to hear." I smiled. "All of it." I nodded my head and she blushed even more. "You ready for breakfast?" I nodded my head and she went to move off the counter. I tighten my grip on her hips pushing her back. She looked at me and her eyes filled with lust. I licked my lips and she bit her. I untied her robe kissing, biting and licking all over her caramel skin. 'Time to enjoy my breakfast' I thought to myself before I dived into her juices.

Maya POV:

I'm lying back on the counter trying to caught my breathe as Emily kisses up my stomach. I lost tract how many times I came but all I know it I am beyond relaxed. I moan after every kiss. each one feeling like burns against my skin. she kisses my jaw then whispers, "Best breakfast ever." my body reacts and I can tell she knows by the smile playing on her lips.

"I'm going to get in the shower real quick." she pecks my lips and moves away sliding her hand down my body as she walks. I grabbed her wrist pulling her back kissing her deeply. I looked deep in her eyes when we parted for air. "No." she said softly. she knew what I was thinking before I even said it. "Last night I got all the glory. I missed out on the fun." she smiled pecking my lips. "I'm getting in the shower."

I sat on the counter for a few more minutes getting myself together before getting down and finishing her breakfast. I turned the bacon back on and took out everything I needed to make Emily a spinach omelet with no cheese. She loved them and I usually made her one every Saturday morning when I didn't have to work.

I plate our food adding some fresh fruit and setting it on the table while I made two strawberry shakes. Emily walks back in from her shower wearing a pair of shorts and a tank top with her hair in a bun. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you. This smells amazing babe. Thank you for breakfast." I start blushing not knowing if she was talking about the actual food or me. "And I mean the food babe." I make a 'O' with my mouth and smile. "You're welcome." she sit in silence for a moment other than the slight moans Emily makes with every bite she takes or every sip of her shake. "Babe this right here is amazing."

"I know its your favorite." she shook her head no and I looked confused. "Yes it is. You have always loved this or a bagel pretty the same way but with cheese." she shook her head no again and I know I am right. "Then what's your favorite?" I asked and she gets that wicked grin. "You. Always has been and always will be." I couldn't help but smile. "That's sweet babe. Thank you."

"I was thinking about when we are fifty and how I'm still going to be tapping that." I choked a little on my shake not expecting Emily to say anything like that.

"That's inappropriate."

"well it's true and we're married." she laughed and I shook my head at her. "When did you become the vulgar one and me the bashful one?" I asked and she shrugged. "I guessed you rubbed off on me over the years." she licked her lip sexily and I cleared my throat. "clearly."

we spent a few more hours relaxing on the beach before going back in packing our bags to head home. I didn't want to leave but I missed my babies. All of them. But before we leave I need one more intimate moment with my wife. it's no telling the next time we will be able to make love.

Emma POV:

"Cassie!" I call after her and she walks into my room. "Yes ma'am?"

"Can you stay in here with them while I go do the laundry?"

"I just put the laundry in the machine. I did the babies clothes first and used that baby washing liquid." I smiled. She did it without me even having to ask. "But grab one and lets go downstairs and tackle this living room. I don't want your moms to kill me."

"It's not messy. We barely used anything and when we did, we cleaned behind ourselves." she picked up Adrianna and kissed her cheeks making her smile. "Well come cuddle with us on the couch and watch a movie. Bring little man he wants to watch too." I smiled picking up Adrian before thinking of something. "Let's go for a walk first." she nodded her head and we put out shoes on getting ready for our walk. I grabbed the shoulder carriers my mom had in her closet. it looked like a bag to me but I was happy she had two of them. we put the babies in them and start walking through the hills heading to the park not too far from our house. We sat on the bench and took out their bottles feeding them.

"I want a baby." I snapped my head towards Cassie.

"Hold on," I laughed. "Did Cassandra just say what I think she did?"

"Yeah I did."

"babe seriously what do you want for our future?" I asked and she sighed.

"I see us getting married either during or after college. Moving into a small one bedroom apartment. Then after a few years start us a family. Buying us a house."

"Why do you say during or after college?"

"We've been together for two years officially but been involved for four maybe. I would marry you right after graduation but I want us to build on our relationship more. Learn more and more about each other before entering a union that will last a lifetime. I want both of us to be a million percent sure we are what the other wants without a doubt in our minds. I know for a fact you are my person and I'm sure you feel the same but sadly after high school things change."

"You're my person. Yeah I understand what you're saying. I agree completely and I want everything you want." we smiled at each other before I thought of something. "What college are you going to?"

"UCLA." she said shrugging her shoulders. "They offered me a full ride."

"What!? Why didn't you say anything to me?" I was happy and mad at the same time.

"I'm wasn't sure I was going to take it."

"You're taking that scholarship babe. It's a full ride. You would be crazy not to accept it."

"yeah." she said softly before sighing. "What about you?" in my head I wanted to tell her the good news but decided to play with her a bit.

"Well NYU, North Western, Penn State because of my Aunt Spence, Michigan State, Ohio State…" her eyes were wide.

"All full ride?" I nodded my head. "They're all on the East Coast mostly." she said sadly and looked down at Adrianna.

"But I also got a full ride to UCLA and that's where I'm going." she turned her head with the biggest smile on her face. she looked so shocked so I nodded my head letting her know I was serious. she wrapped her free arms around my neck hugging me tightly.

"We're going to college together!" she shriek like the girl she is. I nodded my head.

"I was thinking about Penn State to be closer to my Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents but I might have seen a UCLA envelope in your room and started second guessing it. I wanted to me close to you."

"I'm so freaking happy!" she lifted Adrianna up and started talking like a baby. "Emma's going to UCLA with me Yes she is." she peppered kisses to her cheeks and smiled over at me. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Emily POV:

we pulled into our drive way it was about midnight and I was so happy to finally be home. We walked inside and the house was nice and clean. "They cleaned up I see." Maya said and I smiled. we walked upstairs to check on the twins but they weren't in their cribs. We walked down the hall to Emma's bedroom and could hear talking. the door was cracked so I just pushed it open to see the most adorable sight. We both took our phones out taking several pictures of them. They had the large baby pillow lying in between their bodies with the twin laying on it sound asleep. They we facing them with one hand on either baby stomach.

"Should we wake them?" I asked Maya and she shook her head no. "They have school in the morning. I will write a note telling them to put the babies in their cribs. Go get in bed I will be there shortly." she kissed my cheek. I did as she told me and go ready for bed. Shortly she joined me in bed and cuddled close against me.

"Thank you for an amazing weekend sweetie."

"Anything for you."

"do you have to work tomorrow?" I felt her nod against my chest. "Why didn't you let me drive then?" she mumbled something and kissed my chest. "Sleep." I whispered against her head as I placed a kiss there going to sleep myself.

I woke up to the sound of voices. "You wake them up."

"No you they're your moms."

"Yeah but haven't you ever heard that they like other kids better."

"Emily wake your moms." it went silent and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You know talking in someone bedroom wakes them up too." I open my eyes to see them standing at the bottom of our bed holding the twins. I shake Maya a little bit and she opens her eyes. "Time to wake up." she shake her head.

"I see where you get that from." Cassie laughed and Maya then realized they were in the room.

"Morning." Emma said and Maya smiled.

"Good morning." she reached her arms out for the baby she was holding and they passed them over. "How was the weekend?"

"Good. They didn't cause much trouble. Kept us busy that's for sure." Emma said.

"Yeah. we took them for a walk and took Hayden to the mall."

"Hayden is with her dad so why did you take her to the mall?" I asked.

"Hayden called me asking me to come get her. she didn't want to be there because they were doing boy stuff and she wanted to hang with us. So we took her to the mall with the twins, shopped, ate ice cream, got her nails done, had lunch and then went to toys r us."

"You did all that with newborns and a eight year old?" I asked and they both nodded.

"The twins had just woken up from their naps and they don't really cry much." Cassie answered. "It was fun. Whenever you need me to babysit I am here."

"Thank you Cassie." Maya said and then she smirked. "So no hacky panky went down this weekend did it?" Emma groaned and shook her head.

"No." she deadpanned.

"How was you guys weekend? Enjoy yourself?" Cassie asked. Emma looked at her like why would you even ask that which caused me to chuckle a little.

"We had a lovely weekend thank you for asking."

"Cassie come on we have to get ready for school." Emma said grabbing her hand. "Lets leave them with their children." she dragged her out the room shutting the door behind them.

"You need to pump and I will heat them a bottle." Maya said getting out of bed. "They changed their diapers." I said noticing they are dry. "I'm going to call into work today I'm still tired."

"Another day with my lovely wife." I smiled and she smiled back at me. "I think they're lying. I think they did the nasty."

"The nasty? You have several words for it." I laughed. "No she was telling the truth. I can tell when she is lying just like you."

"How can you tell I'm lying?" I shook my head. "I cannot and will not tell my secret just know don't lie to me ever." I raised my eye brow and she smiled. "Never again."

Emma POV:

We get to school and I walk to class. Cassie and I didn't act like a couple here. Everyone knew we were best friends and we never decided to announce we were together. "See you after class." she called and I nodded walking into my literature class. I was tired to say the least. I woke up in the middle of the night and changed the twins diaper giving them both a bottle. I didn't see my mom message until after I woke up for school. I sit in my desk and start doing the warm up on the board. Class begins and we get our assignment for the day and I sit back and write as fast as I could. All I want to do is lie my head down to take a quick nap.

I'm finishing up my assignment when the door opens. I look up and see Jace walk in. I look back down to my assignment rolling my eyes. I hear him say something to the teacher and its followed with 'Okay take a seat'. OF course he picks the empty seat next to me. I don't look at him or say anything to him. We haven't spoken in almost a year because he is a damn jerk.

"hey." he said and I nod my head at him laying my pencil down finally finish. "So you're not going to speak to me."

"Why should I? You haven't spoken to me nor have you made an effort to. So can you please be quiet?" I put my head down on the desk.

"Em." I sigh but he keeps calling me name. "You're not going to shut up are you?"

"not until you speak to me." I lift my head up and look at him.

"Hi Jace. What do you want Jace?"

"How have you been?" he smiled at me. "I've been fine thank you. Yourself?"

"I've been okay I could be better." he sighed. "I miss you."

I raised my eye brows. "I'm sorry to hear that." I go to lay my head back down but he started speaking again. "Why?" he asked.

"Why what?" I asked confused. "Why did you break up with me?"

"One I didn't break up with you. I ended things with you, we were never in a committed relationship, and because I couldn't do it anymore."

"Why?"

"I wasn't happy. I wanted to be happy and now I am."

"I didn't make you happy?" he sounded sad. "It wasn't like that. Yeah you made me happy but not like I needed to be. you made me friend happy not relationship happy."

"Well who made you relationship happy? Cause clearly you're in a relationship."

"I am but it doesn't matter."

"No tell me. how long have you been in this relationship?"

"It doesn't matter Jace drop it."

"No!" he yelled grabbing everyone's attention. "Lower your damn voice." I said and he nodded. He waited until everyone went back to their work before speaking again. "Tell me who and how long."

"You really want to know?"

"yes." I sighed and choose not to look at him when I said this. "Two years now and Cassie."

"You're kidding right?" he laughed and I shook my head no. "You left me, what we had, for that dyke bitch?" I saw red and snapped my head at him. I growled under my breath. "Don't you ever call her that again or I swear you will regret it. You will not disrespect her."

"Her! Two years! we ended two years ago." I didn't say anything to him. I just ignored him putting my head back down. I no longer want to have this conversation with him since he is going to act like this. "Really you're going to ignore me?"

"Stop acting like a little bitch Jace." I say in a calm voice unlike his raised one.

"Oh apparently you like bitches." I turned and smacked him standing up so I was closer to his face. "I told you to not disrespect her and what do you do. Stop acting like a little fucking baby because of something that happen two years ago. Grow the fuck up Jace."

"Hey you two!" the teacher yelled coming towards us.

"Don't hit me Emily."

"Then don't push me Jace." I grab my work to turn it in and leave. "Just going to walk away from me?" he asked as I walked to the front of the classroom.

"Yeah just like I did two years ago." I shook my head. "Fuck you Jace."

"You've done that a lot." he shot back and now he definitely had everyone attention. I laughed putting my work on the teachers desk. I turned and he was standing right by me. I got in his face and said it loud enough for him to hear it. "That's all you want is attention. You act like a little girl Jace. Grow a pair and grow up. Stop whining and bitching all the damn time. That's why we didn't work. Why be with a bitch boy who acts like a girl when I can have the real thing. Maybe if you didn't act like a girl I wouldn't have left you for one. think about that." I got to walk out and he grabs me. I jerk my arm back out of his hold and push him. "Don't EVER touch me or speak to me again!"

"Emily!"

"No Fuck you Jace." I walk out the classroom slamming the door behind me and heading out the building to my car to calm down. I lean back in the driver seat and close my eyes. "Why did he have to start with me today?" I said and rubbing my face roughly.

I hear my phone ring and answer it without opening my eyes. "Hello."

"Babe where are you?"

"Outside in my car. I'm coming in."

"No I'll come out there. It's lunch time."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah what time did you think it was?"

"Second period. I didn't think I've been out here that long. I must have fallen asleep."

"I'll see you in a moment." I hung up the phone and sat the chair up. she opens the car door and kisses my cheek. "Why are you out here?"

"I'm tired." she tilted her head and stared at me. I put my head on the stirring wheel and sighed. "Who told you?"

"That doesn't matter. You're going to tell me." I shook my head.

"No I'm not. Its over with. I don't want to talk about it anymore. Just leave it alone Cass."

"You don't get to do that." she said and I turned in my seat to look at her. "Don't start with me. Don't be the second person I get into it with. Don't do it. I'm not in the mood at all Cassandra." I locked my jaw and reached for my keys out my bag. "Get out." I deadpanned and she shook her head no.

"Where you go I go."

"I'm going home then to the dance studio." she nodded putting her seatbelt on. "You're mad and I am not leaving you. I don't want to fight with you either." I started the car and pulled out the parking lot taking off towards my house. When I get home my moms are sitting on the couch each bouncing a baby.

"What the hell are you doing home?" Mom asked and I just shook my head running up the stairs. I changed into some tights with a sports bra and light hoodie. I pull my hair into a bun and come back downstairs.

"Emily Anne I know damn well you heard me. Why are you not in school? You too Cassie?"

"I just with her." Cassie answered not saying nothing else.

"I just want to go to the dance studio. I don't feel like talking." They put the babies in the play pin and told me to sit down.

"what happen?" mama asked me and I shook my head.

"She got into a fight with Jace but she want talk about it."

"Cassandra." I said and she shut her mouth.

"Jace? Why?"

"Nothing. Why can't you leave it alone? It happen. its over. I'm annoyed." I harshly laughed and stood up. I walked out the living room when I hear Cassie telling them what happen. "What did I tell you Cassandra? Damn!" I walk past with my water bottle and grab my bag off the floor. I speed out the driveway and towards the dance studio. I just want to zone out for awhile because I am pissed off.

I plug in my headphones and slowly let the music come over my body. I dance until my legs beg me to stop. I sit against the wall drinking my water until I regain my breath before starting about. I danced for two hours and jumped when I saw Cassie standing in the door way. I looked sadly at her and leaned against the wall sliding down. she comes over and sit cautiously beside me.

"I'm sorry." is the first thing I said to her. "I know you told them so they wouldn't hassle me about it." she nodded her head and I laid my head in her lap. she looked down at me and me up at her. "He disrespected you so I slapped him." I said and she furrowed her brows. "No one disrespects you. I blew up and went off on him. He knows about us. That we're together."

"I take it he didn't take it well."

"Nope but I don't care. the ounce of care I had went out the window when he disrespected you." she kissed my forehead and I smiled.

"you shouldn't let him upset you so much." I nodded. "My blood was boiling and I just needed to relaxed. clear my mind."

"you went to sleep." she laughed.

"I just seen it happening over and over in mind. so I woke up irritated." she nodded her head and pressed a single kiss to my forehead.

"don't talk about it anymore. I will handle him."

"no you won't. let it be. leave it alone Cass. I called him out his name and smacked him. just let him be I'm so over it."

"Let's just go home." she said. I grabbed all my stuff and walked outside seeing my mom car. "She let me drive her car to come talk to you." she spoke up knowing what I was thinking. I dig in my bag for my car keys. I grab her hand and pull her towards my car pushing her back against it lightly.

"Don't be mad at me. I just want to leave today in today and not bring it into tomorrow. I don't want you risking getting into trouble. Its you and I till the end okay." I smiled softly pecking her lips. "Here take my car and pick me up in the morning. I'll take their car home." she kissed my cheek before pulling me into a hug. "Call me tonight?"

"Of course." the drive home was silent. I didn't play any music and I didn't think about anything. I park the car walking inside seeing everyone in the living room watching tv.

"Where is Cassie?" Mama asked.

"She went home. Your car is outside, she took mine." she nodded and I walked towards the kitchen plugging in my headphones. I didn't feel like talking. I start dancing around the kitchen in my socks listen to 'I Rather Be' feeling the music flow through me. I feel someone grab my shirt and I spin around smiling grabbing Hayden's hands and start spinning her around. I can hear her laughing over the music playing in my ears.

"With every step we take, Kyoto to The Bay
Strolling so casually
We're different and the same, get you another name
Switch up the batteries"

I sung smiling brightly at her.

"If you gave me a chance I would take it
It's a shot in the dark but I'll make it
Know with all of your heart, you can't shake me

She had the biggest smile on her face. I loved watching her smile. We danced until the song ended and she wrapped her arms around me.

Emily POV:

Hayden stood up from her place on the floor and followed Emma to the kitchen. I looked over at Maya when we heard laughing. We walked near the kitchen but stood when we seen Hayden and Emma dancing around the kitchen together smiling and laughing. Emma started to sing to her and I haven't seen these two interact like this ever. It was the cutest sight. Maya had her phone out recording them. I wiped the tear that rolled down my face. My heart melted when Hayden hugged Emma. She looked up at her with a huge smile showing off her two missing two. "I love you Emma."

"I love you too sissy." it amazing to look at what an amazing family we've become.

A/N: So another long chapter for my readers. I hope you enjoyed it. I gave you a little Jace and Emma and I hope you liked what I did. It came to mind so I wrote it how I saw it playing out in my head.

I want to show off Emma and Hayden sister relationship a little bit because having that big sister little sister relationship is important to me. I have one with my older sister and I want to have it shown in this story.
