Authors Note:

This chapter follows Unleashed a little more closely than my other chapters have followed any episode of Teen Wolf, I promise my originality is still here and I hope it shows in the chapter as well. I just know that in the future episodes I am going to have to have a few details in the story that are also in the episode to take it in the direction that I want.

As always I do hope you all thoroughly enjoy this new installment of Familiar stranger. Reviews are not needed, but appreciated and welcome.

The day that Isaac and Eva had managed to sneak away for the previous day was entirely uninterrupted. They knew that Derek was resting and getting things in order after the battle between himself, his sister Cora, and Boyd the night before. The break had been much-needed, Eva knew that Derek was also going through some sort of emotional turmoil with having discovering his sister was still alive and all, but she needed time away. With just Isaac, time to cope with everything that had been dropped upon her in such a short amount of time.

Now, though, that day was a distant memory from the week prior to the present. They had to return to school again, maintain as much normality as they could. The news of Eva's mothers death was out,. She had taken a few days off to cope, to mourn as she should have. With the help of Scott's mother, some forging of signatures, and the absence of any other family members in Eva's life, she was able to claim to be living in the McCall residence. With the death of her mother being tossed in with the murders having occurred over the past month or so, she was free of questioning as well.

Even though all the convenient little outs that Eva has from the trouble, she can feel it, something deep inside of her, something telling her that things are not going to stay as smooth sailing as they seem to be.

"If I could get out of this ridiculous ordeal, you know I would." Isaac reassured Eva as they spoke just out of range of the other cross-country runners, and his fellow Lacrosse team mates.

"It's alright, I heard how Coach thinks you guys are going to end up fat in the off-season." Eva said as she reached out a hand to pat Isaac's stomach. Her hand met with the rock hard abdomen that Isaac hardly had to work for.

"You might want to lay off the donuts." She added, obviously teasing as he grabbed her playfully by the waist.

"I think we both know that you're the only type of sweets I've had at all lately." He whispered against her lips before the two had begun to kiss, both of them rather lost in the moment before a chorus of wolf whistles sounded.

"Lahey! Cut the smooching short and get your ass over here!" Coach Finstocks loud and demanding voice cuts them short, the two of them break apart, both grinning.

Isaac rolls his eyes this time before turning to face the rest of the lacrosse team, he earns a few pats on the back as he joins the group.

"Rosalsky! Get to class. Prince Charming over here won't disappear if he leaves your sight for more than a second." It's Eva's turn to roll her eyes.

"Yes Sir, Coach." She mumbles as she turns on her heel to head back towards the school.

"I heard that!" Coach responds.

Eva had only been able to see Isaac for a moment between classes and she could tell that something was wrong even then. She hadn't been able to have a chance to get much out of him, seeing as they didn't have much time to talk. She did, however, find out that the twins had something to do with his sudden spiral into anger. She couldn't blame him for that. Not one bit.

She was on edge the entire time she sat in her English class, the edginess a combination of her own and Isaac's as well. She could tell that his patience had come to an end when a sudden need to take action came over her. Without an explanation, without a word, she stood from where she had been seated and left her room, Miss Riley calling after her as she ran out of the room, surely earning herself a detention.

Eva could hear what sounded like the connecting of knuckles against bone as she hurried down the hall, leaving Miss Riley in her dust. She rounded the corner just in time to see Ethan laying upon the ground before Isaac, bloody and beaten, she notices before anyone, though the sick smirk upon Aiden's face as he quickly passes her and the eyes of Mr. Harris and the bewilderment upon Isaac's, she knew, right then in that moment that Isaac was entirely innocent.

"Isaac, what the hell did you do?" Harris demands as Eva stands completely at a loss for words in the middle of the hall. "And you, get back to class." He demands lifting a hand to point at Eva, she catches Isaac's eyes and there is an instant understanding there. He's alright, she needs to leave this to him.

Eva had been right in assuming she would receive detention for the act of rebellion she had displayed when she took off from the class room like she had done. She would be serving a lunch time detention, at least she wasn't going to be stuck after school.

Heaving a sigh she caught up with Isaac after her class had finally ended, Scott was at his side, and without a moment's hesitation Isaac began to explain what exactly had happened.

"I knew you didn't do it." She said as the three of them were heading towards Isaac's locker which was rather close to that of Scotts and Eva's locker.

"And you got off with just lunch time detention. All those two want is to piss you off, don't give in. They're just trying to get to you." As Scott finished talking, Eva noticed Isaac's line of vision landing upon Lydia martin who happened to be turning down Aiden at that moment.

"It's not just me." Isaac said as Scott noticed what or more like who he was looking at.

"What?" He questioned, sounding rather angry as he watched the confrontation between the two of them.

"Now they're getting to you." Isaac said with a rather know-it-all smile upon his face. Eva slipped her arm into the crook of his as they walked off and towards the detention they would be spending together.

"The two of you will wash all the boards in this hall." Harris said pointing to the first group sitting in detention.

"Re-shelving the Library," He assigned the next group.

"Restocking the janitors closet," He assigned to Isaac and Allison, Eva didn't like that idea, but she also had no say in it.

"and Miss Riley requested you personally work in her room for the lunch period." He added as he got to Eva.

Isaac stood a moment later and approached Mr. Harris.

"Um, does it have to be with her?" Isaac asked, and Eva kept from letting a smirk settle over her features.

"Now that I know you prefer not to, yes. You have to be with her." Harris answered, causing every ounce of hope to separate the two to escape from within Eva.

Isaac turned back around, first his eyes landing on Eva who gave him a small encouraging smile and then on Allison. Finally he spoke.

"Ok."

Eva was glad she was alone working in Miss Riley's class room, it gave her more time to think, less to worry about, and seeing as there was little to nothing to do in the room, it was that much better. She was lost in her own thoughts, humming a little tune to herself when she felt it.

It was a sudden panic, overwhelming fear, mixed with a need for survival and slowly she could feel the animal instinct beginning to creep up on her. She could control it this time, but she knew where the feeling had come from.

"Isaac." She gasped before tearing out of the class room just in time to come across Aiden once again, that smug look on his face. She was shocked Ethan wasn't following close behind him.

"What did you do to him?" She demanded upon locking eyes with the hulking mass that was Aiden standing before her.

"Me? I don't know what you could be talking about, Gorgeous." Aiden teased Eva, she knew plain and well that he had something to do with the distress that Isaac was going through.

"If he's hurt, I swear I'll hunt you down and make you suffer myself." She promised before shoving past the teenage alpha and rushing towards the supply closet.

The moment Eva arrived she spotted what had happened, the scene of Scott kneeling over Isaac, Isaac's glowing eyes, his bared fangs, the vending machine thrown out from in front of the door. Aiden had trapped Isaac inside of the supply closet with Allison. She could only imagine, and feel what had come over him.

She rushed to his side shoving Scott away as she came to sit beside Isaac. He came too his humane said again, shocked by the fact that he had lost control as he had. He pushed himself back against the wall, Eva crouching beside him.

She didn't speak, just let Isaac regain himself, her hand stroking his arm in a gesture of comfort. Letting him know she was there. She saw what Scott was seeing, the mark that Isaac had left upon Allison's arm, it was a deep dark bruise upon the porcelain skin of her delicate wrist.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to do that." Isaac sputtered, Eva knew he was being honest and so did Scott.

"It's not his fault." Allison informed Scott as well.

"I know." Scott said, a rather angry and determined look upon his face.

"We can't just let them get away with this." Eva finally spoke. Her voice demanding, yet she knew that they were already on the same page.

"Now we know they want to do more than get you angry," Scott finally said. "They want to get someone hurt."

"so are we going to do something about them?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah, we're going to get them angry, really angry." Scott retorted. Now this was something that Eva would back entirely.

Having the pleasure of sharing her last class with the twins and Scott, Eva was able to see the entirety of their plan coming together. She spotted the picture message coming in on Scott's phone as she walked into class behind him.

"Show time." She whispered a grin on her lips as she took her seat behind Scott who positioned himself beside the twins.

Eva herself was grinning as Scott looked over at the two, he had his back pack set on the ground as he began to pull out pieces of the motorcycle they had planned to use to get their revenge.

"That looks kind of important." Scott said as he caught the attention of the two. Aiden looking rather pissed off already.

"And I have no idea what this does." Scott said as he removed another piece from his bag. That was all it took for Aiden to get up and flee from the class room.

"I think we got him." Eva said as she stood from her seat along with Scott, Scott grinned down at the girl as the two of them walked out of the class room following after Miss Blake.

The timing was perfect, all the students rounding the corner as Aiden had the bike in his hands. Eva came to stand beside Isaac, His arm draping over her shoulder. All of them watched on smugly as Miss Blake came to the front of the crowd.

"You have got to be kidding me. You realize this is going to result in a suspension." Miss Blake said to Aiden as Eva, Scott, Isaac, and Allison all grinned on at the boy in triumph.

"Meet you out front, Scott and I have to go and get our gym bags." Isaac said to Eva as he placed a kiss upon her forehead, their school day having come to an end. She watched as the two went off down the hall together before turning to spot Allison not too far down the hall.

"Allison!" Eva called after her, jogging to catch up to the girl who slowed down and then turned. The hall was quickly emptying already, leaving the two nearly alone.

"I just wanted to thank you, for everything you did to help us out today." Eva said referring to how she had helped complete the revenge they had earlier gotten.

"Oh, yeah.. I mean it's the least I could do . . . " Allison trailed off.

"I know about what you did to Isaac," Eva began, for a moment she could see the fear in the eyes of the other girl, but Eva shook her head, a small smile on her lips.

"I'll admit that I wanted to hurt you myself when I found out but, you seem to be seriously sorry for what you did. I'm not going to hold your past actions against you." Eva explained.

Allison looked relieved instantly.

"Thank you, for that. . . And for not hurting me." Allison said, a smile appearing upon her face.

"As long as you refrain from letting it happen again, you can guarantee that I won't be hurting you at all." Eva assured her and the two laughed together.

It seemed as if maybe a friendship would be formed very soon in the future.

After the long day that Eva had spent at school, all she wanted to do was go back to the apartment, even if grumpy ass Derek was around. Isaac had told her already about his encounter with Ethan and Aiden in the form of the super wolf the two of them combined to make along with Deucalion. They had smiles on their faces as they came to the top of the elevator, only to be greeted by a rather sour looking Derek.

He greeted the two of them by telling them they had to leave.

"So now that my mom's dead I'm not your responsibility?" Eva asked, furious by what Derek was doing to the two of them. Isaac squeezed Eva's hand, trying to calm her.

"I don't get it. Did something happen?" Isaac asked.

"It's just not going to work with all of you here. Now that I've got Cora here, it's too much."

"Where are we supposed to go?" Isaac asked, bewilderment coming over him entirely.

"Somewhere else."

"Did I do something wrong Derek?" Isaac asked.

"No, this has nothing to do with you. It's all him." Eva was all venom, entirely overcome with her need to protect Isaac and her want to tear Derek down so many levels.

"You're doing something wrong now by not leaving." Derek continued. Isaac attempted to reason with him again, but Derek wasn't having it. The cup he had held in his hand was heaved at Isaac and it took everything in Eva not to pounce on Derek.

"Come on, Let's go." Eva said to Isaac as she urged him with his hand in hers. He grabbed his bag from the floor and followed her out of the apartment.

Seeing as Melissa McCall was listed as her temporary Guardian until Eva was 18, the two of them decided to pay the McCall residence a visit. Melissa welcomed the two soaking wet teenagers inside of her home. Eva explained to her what had happened as Isaac went upstairs to talk to Scott.

"Of course you can both stay here. I can have the boys room together and you can have the guest room." Melissa said as soon as Eva had finished telling her about how Derek had sent them packing after the arrival of his sister.

Maybe the living situation wasn't the most idea, but it was going to be nice not having sour puss breathing down their necks all the time. Besides, Melissa McCall wouldn't be able to hear if Isaac sneaked into the guest room with Eva at night.
