Sebastian woke up to pitch darkness. The entire house was completely silent along with the rest of neighborhood and for a few moments he felt like the only person in the whole world. He sat up, sensing the two bodies that rested on either side of him. Mindful of this, he crawled to the end of the bed and slid off. Feeling around in the blackness, he located his dresser and grabbed what felt like boxers before shuffling out of the room and down the hall to the bathroom. A soft glow cast a small shadow into the hallway from the nightlight in the bathroom. It was less for decoration and more for assisting a disoriented Sebastian at night. Either way, Sebastian was glad it was there. He shut the door, careful to turn the knob so that it wouldn't click shut noisily.
The light was turned on and Sebastian squinted, the brightness burning his eyes as he opened up the bathroom closet and picked out a pack of baby wipes. Two rips sent the damp diaper to the floor and Sebastian got to work cleaning himself up until he was completely positive that he no longer smelled like urine or baby powder. He dropped the wipes into the diaper and balled it up, tossing it in the trash so that he could tug on some boxers and head back to his room.
When Sebastian returned to his bedroom, he hesitated. Should he get back in bed with those two? Or would it be better to just go downstairs and crash on the couch? He wasn't quite sure. On one hand, it would be kind of uncomfortable to sleep knowing that he was sharing a bed with them. On the other hand, however, he had done it before and he wasn't really in the mood to sleep downstairs. Besides, he was still pretty cold, even with the heat on full blast and sleeping with two warm bodies would definitely fix that.
After a few seconds of building up courage, Sebastian carefully clambered back in between them and slipped under the covers. Warmth immediately consumed him, thawing out his toes. An arm, Kurt or Blaine's he wasn't sure, snaked around him and he rolled onto his side, burrowing contently into the warmth.
When Kurt woke up the next morning, he immediately noticed that something was wrong. The sheets were oddly cold and his legs felt chapped. He shifted around some more and sat up, kicking the blankets off. He spread his legs, mindful of the two boys slumbering beside him and inspected the sheets carefully. He had a pretty good idea of what had happened but just to make sure…
Careful not to wake him up, Kurt gingerly tugged back the waistband of Sebastian's pajama pants. As expected, he wore a pair of damp boxers instead of the thick night diaper that he had gone to bed in. Kurt reached over and gave Blaine a little shove to wake him up. Blaine jerked a little and sucked in a low breath of air, bringing a drowsy hand up to rub his eyes.
"Kurt?" He murmured. "What time'zit?"
"Not sure, but you need to get up." Kurt whispered.
"Why? Do we have to go?" Blaine yawned.
Kurt carefully clambered out of bed and crouched down by Blaine's face. "I think Sebastian wet the bed." He whispered. "Go get cleaned up while I wake him."
Through sleepy glazed pupil's he received a questioning look, but Blaine simply got up and trudged towards the bathroom, inspecting his clothes. Once he had left, Kurt hovered over Sebastian and sighed sympathetically. He reached out to stroke the soft brown hair on top of the boy's head until his eyelashes fluttered and he shifted with a groan.
"Morning, poussin." Kurt smiled, brushing his bangs out of his face with the tips of his fingers. "You need to wake up and go shower."
Sebastian looked up at him questioningly and sat up, kicking off the covers. When he recognized the damage he had done to his nice white bed sheets he sighed loudly and got up. "I…umm…" He stuttered, his cheeks tinting red as he searched his mind for a non-embarrassing excuse.
"Don't bother, Sebastian, it's alright. You were tired and Bassy probably left a few remnants of himself." Kurt shrugged. He smiled. "Why don't you let us get cleaned up and then we'll give you a bath."
"Um, I don't think so." Sebastian shook his head. "I'm not a baby and I'm pretty sure my father would set the house on fire if he knew that we were all in the bathroom together."
"Oh come on, he's probably in his office or something." Kurt crooned. Glancing at the closed door, he walked over to Sebastian and cradled his jaw with his hand. "You know, Bassy doesn't have to be the only baby in our lives."
Sebastian's eyes widened, his eyebrows furrowing in alarm as he back up. "Excuse me?"
"Didn't you ever wonder if the reason Bassy comes out so much is because you have nobody to take care of you?" Kurt inquired.
"What? What are you talking about?" Sebastian frowned. "I'm sixteen! I can take care of myself."
"That's exactly what I'm talking about." Kurt stated. "Right there. You think that you don't need anybody to watch over you and push away anyone who's willing to take on the job because you're terrified of looking vulnerable."
"You're full of shit." Sebastian scowled.
"News flash, baby. The entire school knows about Bassy. There's no more hiding."
"You don't know that." He huffed defensively.
"Why are you being so scared? I bet that if you let us take care of you, Bassy would stop showing up so often." Kurt told him.
"You don't know anything about Bassy or me!" Sebastian barked. "What are you even doing here? We don't even like each other! Did you think you and Blaine were just going to take Bassy and make one big happy family? And then what? After gaining his affections were you gonna like, drag me in too? I'm the missing piece to your sick fantasy?"
"Sebastian Smythe you stop right now." Kurt ordered sharply. "You have no right to talk to me like that after all of the love and attention we've given you."
"Me? Don't you mean Bassy? Or are we the same now?" Sebastian snarled. "I guess it doesn't matter as long one of us is in a diaper!"
"That's not what I meant. Yes, Blaine and I love taking care of Bassy, but it's so much more than that. We like you. A lot. Did we ever leave you after Bassy left?"
Sebastian crossed his arms and turned ninety degrees away from Kurt.
"That's what I thought. So instead of acting like an ungrateful little brat, maybe you should start recognizing love when you see it." Kurt snapped before walking out of the room.
