I can't believe James is in detention... Well actually I can but what I can't believe he got detention at the same time when we were supposed to be having a study date. While he is in detention I'm now spending time with Fred, Louis, Albus and Hugo, I don't normally spend time with them because we have nothing in common.
"So, what are we going to do?" I ask.
"We are going on a hike in the Forbidden Forest." Fred says.
"But it's the Forbidden Forest."
"I know because that's its name."
"What I mean is that it's forbidden we aren't meant to go in there." Fred just shrugs and drags me out the door. Louis, Albus and Hugo follow us and we head over to the Forbidden Forest that is around the edge of our school grounds.
"Aren't you guys a little freaked out about the forest?" I ask.
Louis shakes his head, "We all find it very interesting. I mean we don't know all the inhabitants of the forest." We walk into the dark, cold forest and head over to some boulders that is over in the west side of the forest.
"We should actually go camping in here, Isla." Fred grins when he notices the freaked out look on my face.
"No way am I going camping in here," I say. "So do you know how long James's detention will be?"
"Detention?" Hugo ask and Fred nudges him and gives him a look.
"He will be in detention for about an hour." Fred grunts as he starts to climb a tree.
"What are you doing?" I ask. "Also what are we doing in here?"
"We are going to be exploring."
"Alright." I start to climb the tree next to Fred's. I absolutely love to climb especially when I was younger, I was like a monkey. Louis, Hugo and Albus start climbing as well. When I reach the top of the tree, it seems to me that the forest went forever, I couldn't see the forest ending.
"Look at that!" Albus points down and I look down and see a unicorn.
"It's so beautiful," I say and I lower myself onto the branch. We're all silent, not making a sound so we don't scare off the beautiful unicorn. The unicorn was pure white and on its forehead was a long spiralling, pointed horn.
In the distant something snapped and it echoed through the forest. The unicorn lifts its head and gallops away from us.
"Aw, great!" Hugo smacks the tree trunk and starts climbing down.
"Hey, guys!" a familiar voice says, I look to the way we came and saw James.
"James? What are you doing here?" I ask.
"I just got out of detention and I knew you were with the guys, and I knew that the guys wanted to explore the forest today." James tells me and I start climbing down.
"But you shouldn't be out of detention yet." I frown, has James been lying to me. But why would he do that?
"I lied to you," James admits looking down. Ok, so he just answered my question. But why was he lying to me?
"Why have you been lying to me?" James pulls me away from his cousins.
"I can't tell you."
"Well if you can't tell me. I can't trust you, James."
"Look I'm not doing anything bad. Please trust me, Isla."
"Will you ever tell me, what have you been lying to me about?"
"You will find out soon." I nod and I look down at my feet. James grabs my chin and lifts my face up, and I look into his eyes.
"Please trust me," he whisper. I nod again, I will just have to trust him.
"Now, do you want to go and spend some time together?" James asks me.
"Yeah but around 8 o'clock, I'm going to be having a sleepover with Rose and Dominique." I inform him and he nods and smiles. James loves that I spend so much time with his family and that we get along, I'm happy about that too.
James grabs my hand and he leads me out of the forest. We walk into Hogwarts that is practically empty because it was sunny outside and everyone was outside enjoying the sun. I didn't know where James was leading me but I knew that it was somewhere upstairs because he was leading me to the stairs.
"Will you be telling me where we're going?" I ask and James continues leading me and he shakes his head. I sigh and I keep on following him.
"Dinner is going to be starting soon," I tell him.
"I know," he replies. James pulls me up to where the Room of Requirement is located. He lets go of my hand and paces in front of a wall. Slowly a door appears and James opens the door for me, he gestures to me to go right in.
I walk in and I see in the centre of the room, a table and two chairs opposite of each other. The table had a lit candle on it and red rose in a vase.
"James," I gasp. "This is so romantic."
James pulls me into a hug, "I love you."
"I love you too," I respond. James walks over to one of the chairs and pulls it away from the table. I walk over and sit on the chair and James pushes the chair back in. James goes over to the other chair and sits down. I unfold the napkin and place it on my lap and James does the same.
The door opens and I look over. Fred enters the room and he is wearing a suit.
"Sorry madam, sir, it took me a while to get back to Hogwarts and then into this suit." Fred grins and he goes over to another table that holds food and drinks. He picks up a coke bottle and comes to our table.
"Would you like some coke madam?" Fred asks me.
"Yes and can you please stop calling me madam," Fred nods and pours my drink.
"Same for me, Fred." James says and Fred pours his drink.
"James, I've been calling you sir not madam," Fred grins.
"You know that wasn't what I meant." James laughs. Fred goes back to the table and sets the coke bottle down and picks up the food. Fred quietly serves us our food. Meanwhile James informs me that this was why he was lying and that he has been setting this up all day and he used detention as an excuse because him in detention isn't unbelievable.
"Tonight you will be having some pasta, chicken and for dessert red velvet cupcakes." Fred says. James and I nod and Fred goes back to the table and minds his own business.
"I'm sorry that I doubted you," I take a sip of my drink and then I continue drinking.
"It's fine. Anyway what are you going to do at the sleepover?" James asks.
"I'm not sure Rose is setting it up. I think she also wants us to do some studying together since exams will be starting soon. Don't know how that is going to go because Dominique hates to study."
"Yeah. I wonder who is going to win the fight."
"Well I will tell you tomorrow. I absolutely hate it when they fight though, it can get really awkward."
"At least you will have front row seats to the fight."
"James!"
"Ok, ok... Do you have any plans for tomorrow?"
"I think I'm just going to lie in bed and do some reading. What about you?"
"I'm doing some quidditch training and then just hang out with Alfie."
"Who's Alfie?"
"Alfie is a guy from my house that is in my year. We recently became friends."
"Ok." I say and we finish eating. Fred comes over and serves us some cupcakes.
"By the way it's nearly 7 o'clock." Fred tells me and I nod.
"I should be going soon, James." I take a huge bite from my cupcake, it's so yummy!
James and I eat our cupcakes and continue talking. When the time was 7:30 I decide that I will be needing to leave. James notices the time and stands up and helps me out of my chair.
"Thank you for this wonderful evening. Sorry to cut it short" I say and give James a kiss.
"Its fine, I'm just glad that we got to spend this time together." We say our goodbyes to Fred and leave the room. We both head to my common room, so I can get my things for the sleepover.
"Do you want me to wait for you?" James asks and I nod, I was glad that I wouldn't have to walk alone in Hogwarts in the dark.
We arrive at my common room and I tell James, "wait for me here, ok? I won't be long." James nods and I enter my common room. I speed walk to my dorm, and when I get in all my roommates are there and even some of their friends, I just ignore them and head over to my wardrobe. I open the doors and grab a gym bag from the wardrobe floor. I quickly throw in my toiletry bag and underwear. I scan my clothes and pick out a dark red tank top, grey jeans, black leather jacket and black flats, I stuff the clothes into my bag and close the doors.
I rush out of my room and downstairs. I didn't want James to be waiting for long. When I get into the corridor, James is leaning against the wall next to the door.
"Took you long enough!" he exclaims and I just shake my head. We head up to James's corridor holding hands. We arrive at his common room door and he utters that password quietly to the fat lady. We enter his common room and barely anyone is there.
"I will see you later," I pull James into a kiss and stroll upstairs. I go up to Dominique's door where the sleepover is going to be held and I knock on her door. Dominique opens the door and leads me inside. Rose is already there and she is painting her nails.
"This is going to be so much fun!" Dominique cranks up the music and the fun begins.
