A/N: Guys, pleaseeeeee forgive me for the long delay. Life has gotten so crazy! I recently got my bachelors and could possibly be starting a new job. "fingers crossed" I have been playing around with this chapter for weeks! Trying to figure out where I wanted to go with it. I have to be honest, I love keeping you all on the edge of your computers so I have brought the one thing you all were fearful of. But don't worry, things have to get worst before they can get better. I hope you all enjoy. If you haven't already, please check out my other story "Baby Girl No More," I will be updating that really soon. I swear it's a lot of work working on two stories at the same time. But if you're like me, your ideas and thoughts never sleep. Enough of me, let's get to the story shall we?! Enjoy.

xoxo

"Um Lexi, this is Danielle. I know I'm the last person you want calling you. But can we talk? I think there is something you need to know."

Lexi pulled the phone from her ear, staring at the illuminated screen. Puzzled. What could Summer possibly be calling her about? She knew Lexi didn't like her. She understood that she and Lexi were not friends. So why was she calling?

"Um, Summer, how did you get my number?" Lexi attempted to remain calm, trying to dismiss her anger.

"That really doesn't matter right now. There is something you need to know."

"Regarding?" Lexi elongated the word, sitting up in her bed. It was almost midnight, and she was just getting ready to dose off to sleep. But Danielle interrupted it. Then she had the nerve to be sassy. Summer better have a good reason for calling her.

"It's about Joe."

Lexi sighed. "Is he hurt? Bleeding? Dead?"

"None of the above. Now Lexi, please listen to me."

Lexi rolled her eyes, and Danielle could tell through the phone.

"Now, I know you and I don't get along as well as we should. But I will never allow another woman to be disrespected by a man. Especially a man she loves."

Now Lexi was totally confused. She pulled the covers back, still with the phone pressed to her ear.

"Summer, if you haven't noticed it's late. And I have no idea who or what you are talking about. And you have 60 seconds to make your point or I'm hanging up." Lexi stepped out of bed, while Summer's end of the phone went silent. Lexi padded down the hall to the guest bedroom, where she tapped on the door and entered. Luckily, Megan wasn't sleep, instead she was sitting up in the bed, with her laptop on her lap.

"What's the problem?" Megan quickly asked, but Lexi shushed her as Summer spoke.

"It's about Joe. I think – matter of fact, I know he's cheating on you."

Lexi stared at her phone bewildered as a snort escaped her lips. Summer was joking. Right?

"Really? And why should I believe you? I could have sworn you were the woman all in his face a few months ago. So if Joe was cheating on me, I would expect it to be with you, since you've wanted him so bad."

"Unfortunately, it's not me. It's Rebecca. Now I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought you should know."

Lexi folded her arms along her breast. "Quick question for you Danielle, how do you know this?"

"Everyone knows! It's on the internet."

Now it was Lexi's turn to grow silent. She snapped her fingers, getting Megan's attention. Google Joe. She mouthed, while holding her hand over the receiver.

Megan complied. The truth loaded onto the pages of Megan's computer screen.

"Lexi, I'm so sorry. If there is anything…"

"Goodbye Summer." Lexi interrupted as the phone went dead. Lexi threw her phone down onto the bed, the look of fury turned her golden green orbs inky with outrage. Headlines and photos popped up of Joe with this "new girlfriend." Her worst nightmare had come true. Joe didn't find her attractive or even meaningful. She could feel herself shaking in defeat and in anger as Megan ran her warm palm down Lexi's spine, in an attempt to calm her down.

"Lexi, I know your gears are turning in that twisted little mind of yours. And I just want to make it known that you need to hear him out on this. So what if that woman call here starting trouble, don't fall for it. You're carrying his son – you already have his daughter. And you two are getting married. Don't do it. Whatever is on your mind – don't do it."

Lexi could hear Megan's warning, but the words weren't registering. Her eyes were being to burn – twitch in agony. She was more so hurt than angry. She didn't muster any other word to Megan. She just stood to her feet, and waddled out the door and back down the hall to her room. Slamming her door behind her.

This was the bad times.

2 days later….

"Fuck man!" Joe yelped, throwing his phone back down into his gym bag. Jon looked up, dropping his dumbbell, before staring at his friend, puzzled.

"Still not answering ya huh?" Jon snorted.

This was probably Joe's 100th time calling Lexi in the last two days and she hasn't returned his calls or replying to his text messages. He called Megan and she didn't answer. He called his parents and Luis and none of them had heard from Lexi and now Joe was beginning to get worried. Very worried.

"Maybe she's mad with you." Jon suggested, wiping the sweat from his brow.

Joe shrugged. "I don't know why. I haven't done anything. At least I don't think so."

"Dude, she's pregnant. You don't have to do anything for her to be mad at you. I thought you knew how this shit worked."

"No, Jon, I know my woman. Something's wrong. I just know it."

Joe grabbed his gym bag, flinging the strap over his shoulder and heading out the hotel gym. He made his way towards the elevator and up to the floor where his cousin and Trinity were staying.

"Trin, you've heard from Lex?" Joe panicked once Trinity opened the door.

"Well hello to you to." Trinity rolled her eyes, closing the door behind Joe.

"I'm serious Trin. I haven't heard from her and Megan in two whole days. I have no idea what's going on."

Trinity stood in front of Joe with her arms folded. She already knew why Lexi was mad and the fact Joe didn't was a shame.

"Joe, have you checked your Twitter account in the past few days?"

Joe shrugged. "No, what does Twitter have do with this? I need to talk to Lexi."

Trinity tucked her lips between her teeth, shrugging in a knowing matter. Joe instantly knew that she knew something he didn't.

"I suggest you do."

Joe sucked his teeth, pulling his phone out and checking his newsfeed. After almost two minutes of scrolling, he came across the photo that probably explained everything.

"What the fuck? How – who took this? What is this?" He stuttered. He couldn't control the thoughts running through his head. Nor could he stop thinking about what Lexi was thinking. She had to have seen this. There was no other logical explanation for her to be ignoring him.

"Trin, you knew about this? You showed this to Lexi?"

Trinity immediately got defensive as she took a step back from Joe's towering anatomy. "I didn't show Lexi anything! She found out about it on her own."

"How? Lexi doesn't even use social media!" He proclaimed.

"I don't know! How about you ask her. You're so angry about the fact that Lexi seen this, but I don't see no sympathy from you about the fact that you were photographed with another woman – a woman you work with at that; while your fiancée is at home, pregnant with your son. Now explain that to me?"

Joe paused, prolonging his response because he knew Trinity was right. Lexi thinks – the whole world probably thinks that he cheated on her, especially since she is pregnant. Joe was a lot of things, but he was never a cheater. At least, he would never cheat on Lexi. She meant too much to him. She gave him his children – a life he didn't expect to have. Lexi just had to be devastated. But the question was, how this photo even got out.

"Trinity, now you know, Lexi and our family means the absolute world to me and I would never, ever, cheat on her. Never. I love her too much for that. You know that. I have no idea how this photo got out or who took it, but it's not true. It is not what it looks like." He pleaded while Trinity glanced at him with batted eyes. She wanted to believe that he was innocent, but it wasn't up to her. It was up to Lexi.

"Don't tell me that Joe. Tell Lexi."

"How?' He yelped. 'She won't return my calls, my texts, nothing."

"Then that means you need to drop your shit and go home."

"Trinity, you know I can't just up and leave like that. I just can't fly back to Florida to reconcile with her. It's the road to WrestleMania and-"

"Stop right there.' Trin interrupted. 'Joe, are you hearing yourself right now? You mean to tell me that the road to WrestleMania is more important than your family right now. You are about to lose everything. You are about to lose your family. Lexi's is having your baby in literally two months. And you're putting her through this. You are truly being selfish right now."

Joe parted his lips as if he wanted to respond, but he didn't. He just stood there, dumbfounded because what Trinity was saying was true. He glanced at the photo better, realizing that Rebecca was the woman in it. It had to been the night they went to dinner before going back to the hotel. Joe just wondered who and how this photo had surfaced. The blame game – the internal battle of who did this, played out in Joe's mind.

"I gotta go." Was his only response as he left Trinity standing there in the middle of her hotel room.

Before stepping into the elevator, Joe pulled out his phone, dialing Lexi's number again. Still no answer. In a huff, he pushed his phone back into his pocket, while stepping off the elevator and out of the hotel lobby. He made it to his car, started up the engine, and headed to the arena.

"Hey baby girl. How you feeling?"

Megan stood in the doorway of Lexi's and Joe's bedroom as she watched her friend's attention focused heavily on her laptop. From the way Lexi was stabbing the keys, Megan knew instantly that her friend was still enraged.

"You know you're overacting, right?"

Lexi lifted her focus from the laptop screen to the doorway, sending a pensive glare in her best friend's direction. Lexi's pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose, still glaring at her friend harshly. "If you're here to lecture me about how I reacted to seeing a photo of my fiancé with another woman, then save it. There is no way you can expect a woman – a pregnant woman at that, to remain calm. So don't start with me Megan."

If Lexi was this angry now, Megan could imagine how she was going to be when Joe stepped foot back into the house. It was going to go one or two ways: Lexi was either going to be emotional and start crying in hysterics, probably punching and yelling at Joe while he stood there feeling guilty. Or she would pissed and angry, which will result in her and Joe having a huge blowout that could involve in one of them saying something they would regret. And since both Joe and Lexi were bullheaded, the latter seemed more predictable to how the couple worked.

"Listen, Lexi. You might not like what I'm saying but you have no choice but to accept it. I know you and I know Joe. Do you really think he would cheat on you? C'mon."

Lexi rolled her eyes before pushing her laptop off her lap. Reaching for her phone, she saw the 29 missed calls she had and the 18 text messages – all from the same person: Joe.

"I'm not here to tell you how to control your relationship but you need to talk to him. Hear him out Lex. And you need to sensibly think about what he is going to say and stop being so stuck in your position on what you think happened."

With that, Megan turned on her heels and exited the room, leaving Lexi with her thoughts. When Megan disappeared down the hall and Lexi heard her make her way down the stairs, she exhaled softly, resting her back and head against the headboard. She tried to control the rampant thoughts running through her mind. Logically speaking, she knew that she could possibly be overthinking this situation. But on top of being a stubborn and passionate individual – she was pregnant. However, Lexi refused to believe that she was taking things too far with not answering Joe's calls. But how was she supposed to feel? Time after time again since she's been pregnant, Joe have been having these slip ups where he is caught in these mishaps with women. They never had a problem with the possibility of cheating until she got pregnant. And yeah she had a slip up with Terry but that was quickly resolved and haven't been mentioned since. But it's been time and time again for Joe and Lexi was tired of it.

All she could do now, was wait till Joe got home so they could have a face-to-face. One that Lexi was sure was going to be explosive.

"Hunter, I need to talk to you."

Joe calmly entered Hunter's dressing room. It was now two hours before SmackDown tapings began and Joe knew he needed to go home to make things right with Lexi. He also knew that Hunter would not be pleased.

"Okay, talk then." Hunter replied, looking up at Joe slowly.

"I'm telling you that I'm catching a flight home in the morning. There is some things that I need to take care of regarding my family, so I'm just giving you a heads up."

"You're telling me?!" Hunter looked appalled at Joe's brazen.

"Yes, I'm not asking. I'm telling you. My family is more important right now." As Joe turned to leave, Hunter's deep baritone stopped him.

"Since you're giving orders around here, can you at least share with me why you need to go home? Did the wife have the baby?"

Joe shook his head, sticking his hands into his jean pocket. "No. Not yet."

Hunter shrugged. "So what is it?"

Joe sighed. "She needs me right now. That's all you need to know."

Hunter nodded. From the hurt in his eyes, he knew that Joe was going through something. He knew exactly what was going on. He saw the tweets and the photos and Hunter had to admit, he felt bad for Joe. It was never his intentions to get Joe into this situation, he just wanted Rebecca out of his hair. However, Hunter was too prideful of a man to admit that he caused this logically speaking. Joe was just going to have to recover and overcome.

"Okay. When you're ready to come back, just give me a call. I do need to be at Raw next week. It's the last Raw before WrestleMania. And I need my main event players present."

Joe nodded, letting Hunter know he understand before dismissing himself and heading back to his locker room to get ready for the show. He just needed to push the situation to the back of his mind for the next 12 hours – until he was able to get home and fix it.

It was going on 11 am when Joe arrived in Pensacola. He caught a cab to his house from the airport, never feeling so fearful before. He feared what Lexi would say, how she would react. He feared that his clothes were probably in boxes and bags on the front lawn, but then again, Lexi wasn't that unreasonable. Was she? Turning the corner to his street, he glared out the window, grateful that in fact, his clothes wasn't on the front lawn. He handed the cab driver a $50 dollar bill after grabbing his bags and the bouquet of flowers he brought Lexi as a peace offering, and got out before he could even collect his change. But he didn't care. He took slow, steady steps, up the stairs, turning his key in the door, grateful that the locks hadn't changed. Stepping inside, silence descended over the foyer and living room. He peeked into the kitchen, to see that it was clean and empty. As if no one was home. He at least expected to see Megan, but there was no signs of the brunette.

He quietly took his time, trying not to make any noise as the steps creaked underneath his feet as he made his way up the stairs. He glanced into Mellie's bedroom, to find her bed neatly made and her room completely cleaned. He saw Megan's bedroom was empty and neatly kept as if nobody was staying in there. He passed by the other two guest bedrooms, they were empty too. Finally he reached the master bedroom, its double doors were closed as well. He turned the knob on one of the door handles, allowing himself entrant. He noticed that the bed was not made, signaling that Lexi had been there. A sign of relief washed over him. For a minute, he thought Lexi had packed up Mellie and left him again, but no. She had to be here. He glanced across the room to find the bathroom door was closed shut, along with the sound of the shower water running.

Joe sighed to himself, dropping the bags in his hand in the middle of the floor. He slowly started to unpack as he waited for Lexi to finish up in the bathroom.

Almost 10 minutes later, the bathroom door opened, steam peeking through the crack and filling the bedroom, as Lexi stepped out of the bathroom, turning the light off behind her. Joe glared at her, his eyes following her every move. Her hair was wet and stringy as it fell around her shoulders, sticking to her neck. She was wrapped in a silk robe that he had brought her. Still she hadn't noticed him, since her attention was focused on her phone.

"You're the only person I know who texts in the shower." A goofy grin crept across his lips. Lexi looked up, meeting his chiseled chest. Joe removed his hands from behind his back, revealing a bouquet of white Lilly's.

"What are these for?" Lexi folded her arms atop her belly.

"Babe.' Joe grabbed one of her hands, entwining his fingers with hers. 'I know what it looked like, but you know I would never cheat on you. You know this."

Lexi pulled her lips between her teeth. "Do I?"

Joe's smile disappeared once he realized her face didn't soften like he expected. "What?" He felt his voice cracking. Lexi looked away from his glare, swallowing hard and trying to keep her tears at bay. A grimace formed across her face as her jaw tightened.

Instead of saying anything, Lexi pushed past Joe and headed out the room. Joe now fast on her heels. Lexi thought she would be willing to talk to him upon seeing Joe again, but the sight of him enraged her. She couldn't stand it.

"Lexi! Lexi. Lexi!" Joe called out behind her as she took her time down the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Lexi! Please just talk to me." But she continued to ignore him. She grabbed a glass from the cabinet, filling it with water. She took a long gulp, while watching Joe still plead with her to talk to him.

"Lexi, just let me explain." Lexi's fingers gripped the glass tighter before throwing the glass to the floor, shattering it to pieces around her and Joe's feet.

"What THE FUCK-"

"WHAT JOE! WHAT! What do you want?!" She screamed, her veins popping out the side of her neck. Yup, she was definitely mad.

"I just want to talk to you." Joe replied calmly, still holding out hope that she would calm down. Especially since she was pregnant.

"So now you want to talk Joe?!"

Joe held his hands out in front of him, pleading with her to calm down. "Lexi. The baby. You need to calm down and control your stress."

"Don' tell me to calm my stress down. The only reason I'm stressed out is because of you!"

"I know. And I'm sorry. You know me Lex."

Lexi shook her head. "No! No I don't know you. I know the Joe that told me everything instead of having me looking like an asshole in front of the whole world Joe!"

"Lexi I have been honest with you-"

"No you haven't!"

"Lex, I have-"

"No, you haven't. Because if you were Joe, you would have told me."

"C'mon Lexi! You're being unreasonable! I knew nothing about it."

"Did you go to dinner with her?"

Joe sighed. He was caught. There was no way of him talking himself out of this. He dropped his arms down to his side before replying.

"Lex-"

"Answer the question!"

"Lex-"

"Answer the fucking question!"

Joe sighed. "Yes. Yes, I did." He closed his eyes, saying a silent prayer in his head.

"See, I don't know you! Because the Joe I know wouldn't have done that."

"C'mon Lexi, you know-"

"If I hadn't got the call from Summer, if I hadn't went on Twitter and saw those photos, would you have even told me."

Joe exhaled loudly. "Of course I would have. You know that."

"Then why didn't you? Huh?"

"I was going to."

Lexi snorted. "Oh yeah, just like you told me about the elevator and her coming onto you in her hotel room. Or just like you told me she brought you a watch. Just like you told me you almost kissed her."

Now Joe was confused. How did Lexi know all of this? "Wait.' He interrupted. 'How you know this?"

Lexi turned her body slightly. A haughty laugh escaped her lips. "You're so concerned about how I know. I'm more concerned about what you haven't told me. Cos I'm not hearing nothing you have told me you've been up to with this woman."

"You're right.' He agreed. 'I didn't tell because I knew how you would react."

"The Joe I remembered would have told me.' She softened her voice for the first time, folding her arms along her bosoms. 'All I've ever asked of you was for you to be honest with me. You can't even do that. Why you wanna keep this from me? Why? What have I done to you to make you keep this from me? You embarrassed me. I'm starting to think that this is all happening because I'm pregnant. Do you even want this baby anymore, Joe?"

Joe ran a large hand through his hair. "Of course I want this baby. Why would you even ask me that?"

"…Because you don't fucking act like it. This is your fault Joe. You let this happen."

"You really think I encouraged this woman and her bullshit? I was embarrassed to tell you because I thought you would see me as-"

"Guilty? A cheater? Cause that's what you're looking like right now."

"Alexis. I would never cheat on you. I haven't and I never will. I did not encourage that woman."

Using her fingers, Lexi's pushed her hair out of her face. "Don't give me that innocent bullshit Joe, I was there. I've seen you. I saw how you played those games with those women back at school. I see how you play with those women on the road. I see how you and your "boys" play with all those girls, and I thought I would be different. I'm going to be your wife Joe. I am the mother of your children! You're supposed to trust me."

Joe stepped closer to her as she stepped back, pressing her back against the wall behind her. He tried to wrap his arms around her but she pushed him away.

"Don't touch me." She snarled, between clenched teeth, causing Joe to back up. The look in her eyes were cold, this was not the Lexi he knew and loved. This Lexi was angry and fed up, beyond return.

"Lexi, I'm telling you the truth. Nothing happened. I swear to you. I put that on our kids that nothing happened between us. I wasn't honest before, but I'm honest now." Using the pad of his thumb, Joe wiped the falling tear on Lexi's hot cheek. She was hurting and this was one of those times where Joe was fearful of her and what she would do.

Lexi shook her head, weakly pushing Joe to back up. His heat and scent was too much for her. She needed separation. "But you wanted to. And that's the worst part. You thought about it."

"But I didn't do anything."

Lexi shook her head in disagreement. "Joe, I can't do this anymore, not right now. I am so tired of stressing and I'm tired of you stressing me out. I can't handle this right now. I have two months left before I give birth to this baby. I don't want you here. Not until you get your shit together. Me and this baby does not need the stress. So I need for you to get your stuff and leave."

"What?" Joe's voice began to crack.

Lexi could hear and see the hurt in his voice and in his eyes. But she has had enough.

"I need to be alone Joe. I just can't deal with this."

"Please Lexi, just listen to me."

"I'm done listening to you right now. I need to give birth to a healthy baby Joe. I want to. I need to. And I know you want to too."

"So what are we doing? We're breaking up?"

"I need a break. And so do you. I think you've forgotten what's important, Joe." That was not what Joe wanted to hear.

In fury, he punched the wall aside her head, causing her to flinch in fear. "THIS IS BULLSHIT LEXI! I told you nothing happened." He yelled into her face.

"JOE, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE. Get out!" There was a long heavy pause between them as they both breathed heavily. An intense glare stood between them. The silence allowed Joe to realize how serious Lexi was.

"Nothing happened with this-' Joe's voice trailed off once realizing Lexi wasn't budging. 'Okay, Lex. Just tell me what you want me to do and I'll do it." He pleaded.

"I want you to pack up what you need, what you want, I don't give a fuck! I just want you to get your stuff and get out of my house, Joe."

"…And go where Lexi? Where the hell am I going to go?"

"TO HELL! You're on the road traveling anyways, stay wherever you been staying when you're on the road."

"And when I come home?"

"I just suggest your parents. But I know you're prideful so I suggest the Four Seasons." And with that, Lexi pushed past him and headed up the stairs and Joe didn't follow behind her. He just let her go. For the first time he just let her go. He knew he had his bags upstairs, but he refused to go up there. Lexi needed a few days. That's what she needed.

She would come to her senses in a few days, he believed. She always did.

Not this time.
