Croc and Cat Know All about That
Tigress wasn't necessarily thrilled with her arrival, but it later proved to be a very great thing she did. And after the wedding, Po and Tigress did have to -
Actually, let's start from the beginning. Fung, the former leader of the pathetic- I mean the least successful croc bandits had taken up a job in the village. All the Furious Five never really considered Fung and his group a threat, so when he finally got out of prison and began serving the community, it didn't really bother them. Po, like always, took to the new Fung like a fish to water. Unlike his father, Fung took to the blacksmithing industry. At first, the Furious Five and Po were always called there because Fung would burn the shop. However, his employer, Mr. Hong, took Fung like his son and excused the accidents. Eventually, Fung learned he did like blacksmithing. It was fun dealing with metal. It was like clay, but it wasn't as cumbersome. Tigress most often voiced her concern for Mr. Hong and then eventually Fung. "I don't like it," Tigress said. Po rolled his eyes as he ate his food. They were in his room talking about Fung.
"Tigress, you have to learn to trust people. Even if Fung does do something criminal, you know how he is," Po reasoned. Tigress grumbled.
"I still don't like it," Tigress muttered, leaning on the doorpost. Po came behind her and wrapped his arms around her. Tigress gasped.
"Come on, have an open mind...for me," Po asked with his winning smile. Tigress sighed.
"Fine," Tigress murmured. Po smiled bigger and kissed Tigress on the cheek.
"Good, I'm going down in the village to see how Fung's doing," Po said. Tigress noticed something on Po's face.
"Po, come here," Tigress said. Po spun around. "You have something on your face." She licked the crumbs off his face clean. Po blushed and whimpered. He grumbled lowly as Tigress smirked at him.
"I wish you would stop being so mischievous," Po sighed. Tigress's smirk grew as she went on her way to train.
"You know you love it," Tigress said. And the unfortunate thing was, Po did like it. Anyways, Po went to the blacksmith that Fung had been working with. It was actually surprising how Fung had developed over the year here. The heavy lifting of the metal materials had given Fung some impressive muscles. So much so that Fung had often gotten wolf whistles from women he would pass.
"Hey, Fung," Po shouted. Fung jumped. The hot molten piece of metal clanked to the floor.
"Po! Don't scare me like that," Fung remarked.
"Sorry, I was just wondering how you were doing," Po said. Fung sighed.
"Come on, man. You know that I've been here for the longest. Is Tigress doubting me again," Fung asked.
"Kind of," Po laughed nervously.
"I don't know what you see in her, dude," Fung sighed.
"Love has a funny way of ignoring certain things and focusing on others," Po explained. Fung rolled his eyes.
"Yeah," He said as he hammered the metal object, "I'm just glad I'm not in love."
"Why do you say that?" Po asked.
"Women are difficult to understand, man," Fung said.
"Hey, so are some guys, too," Po smiled. Po casually walked to the window. "So if love isn't your plan, then what is?"
"Well, I want to be able to get these metal things done with. Don't get me wrong I love blacksmithing, but I think I'm needed elsewhere. And I know that Tigress would be glad."
"You shouldn't move just because of her," Po said absentmindedly glancing out the window.
"I'm not, but I think I need to start a new life. Mr. Hong is actually giving me some money to start my own business."
"Oh crud," Po said.
"Yeah, it's a serious step," Fung replied.
"No, I mean, a different kind of crud," Po said staring out the window. Mr. Hong's shop was next to the entrance of the village. Fung got up from his work to look at what Po was looking at.
"What's wrong, dude?" Then he saw a snow leopard with a red umbrella. "Who's that?"
"That is trouble," Po sighed, going outside the door. The snow leopard was none other than Song. Po looked around the rooftops and the alleys. He was trying to make sure that meeting Song wouldn't make him die on the spot. That is to say, he was trying to make sure Tigress wasn't there. "Song, how good to see you," Po said nervously darting his eyes. Song was more cheerful to see him.
"Po! How are you doing?" She said excitedly.
"I'm good how are you," Po said, quickly leading her to Mr. Hong's shop. He needed to make sure that no one who knew her could see her.
"Great? Um...Po, is there a reason why you're leading me to a blacksmithing shop?" Song asked.
"Oh, um... one of my friends work here and I thought it would be good to make sure you didn't feel unwelcomed," Po laughed. Song seemed to see through his ruse.
"You're hiding me, aren't you?" Song said with a serious face.
"What?! No! What would make you think that?"
"Because if you weren't you would have shown me to the Furious Five then come here," Song said. Po sighed.
"Okay, I am, but that's not the only reason," Po said. Song crossed her arms and looked him in the eye waiting for the excuse. "You see, Tigress and I are dating." That was news. It was enough to get a reaction from Song.
"Really? Oh! So you don't want Tigress to get the wrong idea? Okay, I get it." Song smiled. "I'm glad for you."
"Ahem," Said a voice. Po had forgotten that Fung was in there. "I'd like to understand what's happening here, too."
"Oh, right. Fung, this is Song a former bandit like you," Po said. "Oh wait! I wasn't supposed to say that."
"Dude, too late," Fung sighed. The croc looked at Song. "I Um...I'm glad that you came to the village."
"It's nice to meet you, Fung," Song said, seeming to be a little nervous. "Are you the blacksmith here?"
"No, I'm actually the guy's assistant," Fung replied. "I just help with trying to make sure that Mr. Hong doesn't burn his fingers." Song and Fung both chuckled a bit. Po noticed the awkwardness going on between them. Po finally clapped his hands and brought their attention back to him.
"Well, I have to talk to someone. Very important Dragon Warrior business. Song, if you want, you can stay at my dad's house until I come back."
"Actually, I was thinking of going around. I didn't get much of a tour when I first came here since, well, you know," Song said a bit embarrassed.
"Um... I could give you a tour," Fung offered shyly. "If you'd like."
"Ssure," Song stuttered. The two walked out. Po held a smile on his face as he rushed out the door and went up to the mountain.
"SHE'S WHAT!" Tigress yelled.
"I knew this wasn't going to be easy," Po sighed.
"Why would you invite her into the village?"
"I didn't! She just came in," Po replied. "I already told her that we were dating."
"One, that won't necessarily stop her. Two, that doesn't mean that she won't steal anything," Tigress answered. Po thought about it. "Where are they?"
"Oh, Fung's giving her a tour," Po said nonchalantly. Viper's head popped up.
"Wait," Viper said, slithering into the conversation, "Song is with Fung? Did Fung offer to give the tour?"
"Yeah, why?" Po asked. Viper's devious look shown through.
"Viper, what are you smiling about?" Tigress asked in a warning voice.
"I think I know," Po said with a smirk. "I think Fung likes Song." Tigress's ears perked up.
"Let's go and see what the two are doing," Tigress suggested. They found Fung and Song talking to each other at the noodle shop. Tigress and Po leaned their heads over the corner of the door.
"See, they're talking peacefully. No need to worry," Po whispered to her.
"Okay, so they're not talking about world domination. But we don't know if Song likes him," Tigress whispered back.
"And so I was pretending to be this soothsayer and a guy asked for his fortune. I told him, 'I see you going on a long journey. You are going to China!' 'I am in China,' he said. 'DO I LIE!?'" Fung joked.
"HAHAHA!" Song laughed. "That's so funny."
"Yep, she likes him," Tigress muttered.
"How do you know," Po asked.
"When a woman is flirting with a guy, they often pretend their jokes are funny," Tigress explained.
"Oh, WAIT! Did you do that?!" Po looked at her.
"No! Well, sometimes," Tigress guiltily smiled, "But you are really funny, I promise. It's just sometimes you, and guys that are flirting with girls, tend to try too hard."
"Well, I'll give you that," Po replied, "But what worries me is that Song's a former con artist. I just hope she's not still up to her old tricks."
"Only one way to find out," Tigress said coming out of her hiding spot.
"TIGRESS!" Po shouted out in a whisper. Tigress went to the couple.
"Hello," She said to them.
"Oh, Master Tigress," Fung said surprised. "Um... this is Song. She's visiting the Valley of Peace."
"Yes, I know Song," Tigress glared at her. "Do you mind if we talk to each other for a moment? Girl to girl?"
"Sure," Fung said, completely oblivious to Song's timidness and Tigress's subtle anger. Song and Tigress went outside where Po was waiting. Song relaxed a bit to see Po there.
"What's wrong?" Song asked.
"Do you like Fung?" Tigress asked directly.
"Tigress?! You don't do that."
"Why not?" Tigress asked.
"Did you do that when we got together?"
"Good point," Tigress said.
"Song, Fung is a good guy and he's been doing well in the village," Po explained.
"Yeah, I know. So?" Song asked.
"Well, I...we just want to know if um.-"
"If you're going to con him like you did with Po." Tigress finished. Po threw his hands up.
"'Subtle'. Look it up," Po told Tigress.
"No, I'm not going to con him. Why would I do that? Po, you know I've turned over a new leaf."
"I know. I just want to make sure," Po replied.
"I give you my word that I'm not trying to con Fung," Song promised.
"Good, now. Do you like Fung?" Tigress asked.
"What?! I've only met him today," Song stuttered darting her eyes around.
"Your point?" Tigress asked.
"What Tigress is trying to say is that..." Po thought about it for a moment. "You know what? Just keep talking to him. I'm sure you'll like him." Po took hold of Tigress's hand. "We'll be at the Jade Palace if you need us," Po smiled. As they went away, Tigress looked at him with a questioning look.
"What was that about?" Tigress asked.
"Fung... has been thinking of leaving the Valley of Peace. If this goes well, we may have Fung and you'll have a maid of honor," Po smiled. Tigress blushed.
"If you think so," Tigress replied a little nervous. Po grabbed her around the waist. "Po?"
"I know so," Po smiled. Po kissed her. When they pulled away, Tigress smirked.
"Now who's mischievous?" Po laughed.
Po and Tigress after a few months got married, and like Po predicted, Tigress made Song her maid of honor. Po's gambit proved right. After two years of walking around the village because Song said she wanted the 'full tour,' Song and Fung got into a relationship. And Po's son, Mung, is very excited for the upcoming wedding.
The End
