Chapter 20

DPOV

Rose looked right at me and there wasn't anything but rage in her eyes. I know she was hurting inside because the moment she saw me; tears sprang from her eyes. I looked down at Kyle and Prudence and turned away from Rose and walked out of the room. I know she will come after me. I just hope she doesn't kill anyone in the process.

It didn't even take a minute before she was calling for me to stop. I did so. I was looking at my kids; they were looking in the direction of their mother. That was when I saw it. Their eyes were glowing like hers. Though they had innocents in their eyes.

"Rose, you can't take them to him. I know your stronger than this. Resist him. Fight. If not for you, then fight for your family!"

RPOV

I've made my way to the man I love. I saw our kids in his arms. Kyle looked at me, he had glowing gold eyes like me.

The link! That's the sign of the link! Only they can help me now.

I started to walk toward Dimitri, and as I did I felt I was becoming myself again, but I could still feel his hold on me. I knew this wasn't enough to stop my completely, but I could no try to resist him.

Lissa, I need you. I can't talk on my own. I need you to tell him to keep the kids at a length but not too far from me. I can resist him when they are around.

I'm coming Rose. Hold on.

DPOV

As she came closer, she started to look more like herself. I thought maybe she was starting to come back to us, but the moment I started to step closer Lissa screamed for me not to.

"Keep that distance apart from her. She can fight him off that way." She explained it to me as she slowly made her way around rose.

"Christian, make a ring of fire around Rose." I know this might cause more problems, but it was worth a shot.

She just looked at the fire and stopped moving. I set the kids down on the ground and all they did was look at their mom. Rose just looked at them.

"Somethings changing about Rose. Look. More brown is coming back into her eyes." She just continued to stare.

"Rose, you need to resist him. He can't control your heart." I tried to talk to her. She looked at me with sorrow. She was breaking inside. "Your stronger then him. Your will is stronger then everyone around you. Don't let him win." I tried to encourage her to fight back. She was like a flame that burned hotter than any flame known to man.

"Don't let him take your family from you." I was getting closer to her. "I love you, Rose. Our children need you. I need you. Lissa needs you. I won't let anyone else have you. You are my Roza." Her hair is changing back to that beautiful dark brown I love so much.

RPOV

I came feel myself coming back. The link between that monster and I is being broken. I know it isn't because of me. I'm looking at my beautiful kids and they are showing me the way. I know it. They are my light that is guiding me back to myself. And they are the ones breaking the link. They won't let anyone have me either.

I could feel myself starting to smile as I look a Kyle and Prudence. The closer they got to severing the link the more painful it got.

"AAAAAH!" I couldn't help but cry out in pain. I just continue to encourage my darling children to keep going. I was showing them I loved them through my eyes. I was getting dizzy though. The pain was crippling. I fell to my knees while screaming from the pain I felt.

"Roza!" I could hear Dimitri call for me. I looked at him and everything went black.
