Chapter 19 – Guests and Plans
Bella's Point of View
The throne room was filled with a numerous amount of people. I could only assume that this was Heidi's work. The thirst was getting worse, the more I waited I looked back to Caius. Who had a sympathetic look. I wasn't ready to take a human life. When my own mother was taken away from me.
Aro was about to introduce them to who we were and what they were to them. As Dimitri and Felix closed the doors making room for no one to escape. The humans were beginning to feel frightened about there surroundings and it was for good reason too. I mean going into a room full of human- eating vampires. That would get to me, I mean if I was still human, which wasn't the case anymore.
I couldn't..I just couldn't do this, all around me I could see the rest of the guard preparing and selecting which human they wanted, and which one looked better then the other. My head stopped at the sight of the kings they were looking at me. They were waiting to see what I would do. I took a fake breath, which I really needed at this moment in time, and nodded my head towards them. I was in a room full of red-eyed, human eating vampires, I was also the mate of a king of the whole vampire race. Not that I was acknowledging Caius. I was still pissed off at him for changing me into this. But I was a vampire and that was my reality and nobody could tell me what I could or could not do.
I walked forward and found myself mere inches away from a blonde haired girl that seemed to be in her mid-twenties. She wore a white t-shirt, along with some designer jeans, with a portable camera around her wrist. She had her whole-life in front of her and here I was about to suck her dry of all of her blood. All of my emotions were heightened thanks from my change to mortal to immortal. I rose my arm towards, and held onto her. She seemed worried and afraid, I really didn't want to do this, but I was a newborn and as a newborn it was hard to control my blood lust, and even more since I was just changed and haven't even had a drop of blood yet. I needed it, I craved it as if it was my lifeline. In this case it was.
All of them were staring at me, waiting until I made the first bite. I was hesitant at first, but the need for blood was stronger, as I let my instincts cloud my judgment. As fast as I bit down, I heard the throne room being covered with nothing but the screams of the humans all around me. The blood was cloud- nine. Imagine having a very sweet chocolate but multiply that by a thousand times. The human was drained, I ran off to my next pray he was an old man probably about around his early fifties, I instantly went to his jugular. I couldn't believe that I actually took pleasure in doing this. It was so euphoric and made all of this feel right. It clouded my judgment yes, but it wasn't that bad. Maybe being a vampire wasn't that bad.
It was my fourth human, when another vampire entered the Throne room. Which I found out it was Afton and he was informing all of us, that Aro's guests had arrived. I finished the human as the body went limply to the floor, as seven vampires entered the room. These vampires were the vampires that Aro had called. I couldn't believe my eyes, there before me were my old family: Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie, Jasper, Alice, and Edward. I couldn't believe it, I saw Edward and immediately ran full speed towards him. I almost made it to cracking his arm, Edward didn't have time to react since it was spontaneous, but I was now held by Felix as the Cullen's reactions were surprised that I was here.
Yes, I was here, and Yes I wanted to rip Edward apart. How dare he show his face here after what he did to me. Not liked I cared now I had the best mate ever, and he was a king too.
"Carlisle what a pleasant surprise, we were just finishing our dinner. As you can see our newest member is dear Isabella, mate to my brother Caius" he stated, as Edward growled and glared at Caius.
Caius was up from his throne and was about to behead Edward, when Felix and Aro stopped him.
"Now, now brother, I invited the Cullens here so they could be Bella's guard from the Stefan and his army. But don't worry Edward will have whats coming to him for breaking my dear Sister's
heart." Caius seemed to relax as Aro's voice was directed towards me.
"Now Isabella, would you like to direct the Cullens towards there rooms?" I nodded in reply, even though I really didn't want to. I would rather be dead, dead then spend another second with Edward.
"Dimitri, can you accompany Isabella?" Aro questioned, more like stating it as it wasn't for deliberation.
"Yes, Master" he bowed as he led the way.
I started and followed Dimitri as the doors opened and a hallway could be seen. I followed Dimitri at Vampire speed to a section of a castle that I guess was meant for the guests to stay in. As soon as we stopped the Cullens were right behind us.
"This room will be Carlisle and Esme's room, and the room next to them will be Emmett, and Rosalie's room, the rooms across from Carlisle and Esme's will be Jasper and Alice and the one right next to them is Edwards. Even though you should stay down in the dungeons for what you did to me." Dimitri started to laugh at this, I glared at him. This was so not that funny. I really hated being here for one reason and one reason only and that was: Edward.
I mean I really love the Cullens. They are my second family I could handle them it was just Edward that I couldn't stand seeing. I started to go to Caius's wing of the castle, as I heard Alice asking if I could stay for just a little longer to catch up. I dismissed Dimitri and told him to tell Caius that I should be with him in a couple of minutes. He left, as I entered Carlisle and Esme's room. Not wanting, more like dreading this Conversation.
Edward closed his door to his room, as the door to Carlisle and Esme's closed. Leaving a lonesome Edward to hear, what he caused and to leave a Isabella not wanting to have a conversation about her reasons with being with the Vultori.
Unknown Point of View
A group of vampires were running across the forest, they could hear the noises from branches snapping, to the closest creatures running. It was night time, not like that was going to stop them, they stopped and entered an old run-down Victorian castle. It was dark, and dank , they could smell the mold that was all across the aged-worn wood. Bodies covered the floor, in the center of the castle was a throne with a person sitting upon it.
He held his head down, as they entered. Upon arrival the red-eyed vampire became alert to the other vampires and held each gaze with utter disgust. The Vultori would pay for what they had done. The vampire would unleash an army that the Vultori hasn't seen for millenniums.
There was a vampire, that was apart of this group. A vampire that stuck out, from the others. All of the vampires feared him as they made way for him. He was his commander, he followed whatever his master wanted him to do. Even spy, within the rabbit's nest. Even though it wasn't a rabbit's nest, no it far more dangerous. He could get caught that was for sure, and there was a punishment for spying. Instant death. He had been spying among the Vultori for ages and hasn't got caught yet. He must be doing something right. Right?
The vampire stared into the red-eyes of the vampire standing in front of the throne. They didn't need to communicate. They had the same views, he knew his orders. It was just a matter of time before the Vultori would fall, and that the Romanians would regain what was rightfully his masters'.
