Chapter 20

Chima's POV

A cold chill swept across my body as I heard Mew demand for me. She simply pushed Frost and Devin out of the way. Luctis was able to stay by me as closely as she could "Give me the child, now." Mew demanded. Luctis bravely stood her ground and glared at Mew. "Luctis, both you and I know what can happen to you if you don't obey me, so do the right thing and step out of the way; Chima and I need to have a little chat." She grinned malevolently. I quivered behind Luctis as I saw Mew charging up some sort of attack. I stayed down and waited for the impact to hit us, but it never came, instead I felt the ground thud a little and when I look across I saw that Devin had knocked Mew to the ground. Mew was dazed and confused and didn't look very well after that, so we took our opportunity and ran, Luctis and Devin both using a psychic attack on Demyx as we ran away.

We ran for at least five minutes before we stopped, all of us were panting from exhaustion "I-I don't like being chased all the time." I puffed, doubling over in the pain I felt. Within seconds I was picked up by Devin and they ran further to make sure that we had got far enough away to have a proper rest, although we all knew that Mew was never going to be far behind and it was only a matter of time until she caught us, then there would be nothing we could do. We stopped again, but this time I could tell this was it, we weren't going to be running any longer. "Where is Frost?" I asked and then both Luctis and Devin looked at me with shock.

"How could we have forgotten him?" Luctis bellowed "We must go back for him." She demanded and began to walk back in the direction we came from until Devin intercepted her.

"Luctis, they won't worry about him, they're after Chima, we must stay and protect him." He explained and made Luctis turn around and walk over to me, keeping me close again "How long have you known he was human Luctis? I know you found out before all of us now, so when?"

Luctis shrugged "I knew when I went for that 'talk' with him when we were deciding if he could stay. Even though Chima has been a human, rejecting him would still be turning down one of our own kind; I couldn't live with that kind of guilt." She held me closer as Devin stood guard whilst he was listening. "Mew isn't coming here yet. It's all mind games at the moment, we just have to wait patiently until she thinks we're at our weakest."

Devin stood firmly, waiting "I know, but I'm always going to be on guard because it's what I do, you look after Chima, I guard, then we'll have no problem." He said his voice hoarse with despair "Let's just hope Frost gets out of this okay. If anyone deserves to make it back it's him. I just hope Mew and Demyx have left him alone." He sighed and dropped his head a little, but keeping the same stance as he waited for any attack.

I shivered in Luctis' hold, just picturing Demyx and Mew charging in and taking me away from Devin and Luctis. Luctis leaned down and nuzzled me softly "Don't worry, nothing will happen." She assured me, but I couldn't believe a word of it because I had nothing but fear clogging up my mind.

Frost's POV

My eyes opened slowly, but all I could see was a blurred picture of the landscape around me; the trees, blurred, the grass, blurred, everything was blurred even when I fully opened my eyes. I looked around, trying to wait out my blurred vision, but I soon grew tired of waiting and tried to stand up. I was overtaken by the blood rushing around my body and I soon found myself blind. I tried to walk in the darkness, but found that I couldn't even take a step without my left forepaw sending a shooting pain through my body, almost sending me to the ground again.

When my vision did finally clear I looked down to my paws and saw that both looked rather unharmed, but it was obvious that my left paw had been injured because any pressure applied to it would simply be too much for me to take. I looked around and saw that everyone had gone "Geez, Mew is not as nice as I thought." I grunted as I limped towards a small tree so I could lean for support.

I heard someone chuckling and could only guess it was Demyx, I looked to the left and saw the Vaporeon grinning at me wickedly "Hello there Frost." He giggled "I thought out of most of the clan that you wouldn't get mixed up in any of the madness, but look, here you are, and look what happens when you try to fit in, human." He snarled and snapped his jaws close to my side before laughing insanely.

"I'm not human anymore, and in case you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly disliked at the clan." I spat, growling back, although I was finding it tiring to even find the words to defend myself "Oh, and another thing, the only one going into madness is you. In one day, and look at yourself, you've gone from respectable leader to half-crazy drone of Mew's." I taunted, hoping to get a reaction, but insteadhe just stood there, smiling at me.

He walked right up to me and laughed in my face "I like you Frost, you're funny. It would almost be a shame to get rid of you. I'll give you a head start if you want." He then moved back and sat down, watching me, cocking his head to the side and his ears falling back. I quickly realised what he meant and ran as fast as I could, my injury clearly giving me a disadvantage. I looked back and could see that Demyx was still waiting. I needed to get back to the clan fast. I needed to get the help of the rest of the guild or else this would be a lost cause.

I soon got into a rhythm from running with three legs and found I was still going relatively fast. I panted harder as I went on, trying to remember where I needed to go to find the clan. Just as I caught sight of the entrance I heard Demyx charging towards me at great speed, I could just feel he was gaining on me with every stride we took. I gritted my teeth and prepared myself as I finally used my injured paw to run. I instinctively yelped as the pain ripped through my body, but I had to continue despite the pain and luckily I managed to tumble through the entrance just avoiding Demyx. He knew the chase was over once I got inside, so I didn't have to worry about him.

I huffed as I hoisted myself onto three of my legs again. I hopped through into the clan's territory and gave a content sigh before I felt my legs finally give way. I collapsed to the ground in a heap of exhaustion and relief. I made it without Demyx getting to me, but I couldn't stop there, lying down was not going to get the others their help. Reluctantly, I got back up to my paws and trudged through. Each step felt like I was wading through muddy water, but after nearly being killed twice I wasn't about to let my own willpower let me down.

Eventually I made it to Kudzu's home and I limped in, but I was only greeted by angry stares "Thanks for the welcome." I sighed and finally I tripped and fell onto my stomach, which was when Kudzu rushed to my side.

"Frost, Frost? What happened to you? Where's Chima….where's Devin and Luctis?" she asked, completely distraught stil over everything that had been happening.

I found that I was almost too weak to talk properly "M-Mew, she wants Chima, s-said that he needed to go. Devin and Luctis are looking after him. We c-can't fight Mew like this. You must get all the guild to help y-you." I muttered. The world around me was becoming a blur again and I couldn't fight it, this time I closed my eyes, only able to hear Kudzu screaming at me to hold on and stay awake. My job was done, now all I could do was wait on the sidelines, my injuries would undoubtedly stop me from being able to help in their effort.

Kudzu's POV

I wept a little bit as I watched Frost pass out from whatever ordeal he had been through just to get here. When he walked in there couldn't have been anyone I wanted to see less, but as soon as I saw the look in his eyes I could tell something was wrong. He told me to get the entire guild together to fight off Mew. Luctis and Devin already had to hold off Mew. That left me, Taphyn, Avo and Amara; we knew Demyx wouldn't be helping us because he was the one who took Chima away in the first place. Taphyn walked up to my side and looked down at Frost as well. "Come on, we have to do what he said, or else we don't know what could happen to the others."

We rushed around and gathered the other members of the guild until all four of us were heading outside. Once we were outside, Amara and I quickly got the others to follow us "You think you can sniff them out Amara?" I asked and she nodded her face completely serious because of how she had been affected by the whole situation. Within minutes we were able to find them. However, when we got there, we didn't see Mew attacking them, but as soon as I walked over to Luctis I was tackled down by Devin. I quickly used iron tail to knock him off before he realised it was me and not Mew. "Nice to see you too Devin." I huffed and he simply shook his head in apology. I walked up to Chima and his eyes lit up when he saw me, immediately he rushed to my side and pawed at my leg, I could only force a weak chuckle because I was still worried about what was out here. If Frost was telling the truth then it was Mew who we would have to be alert for. I walked to where Devin was guarding but was suddenly hit by what felt like a wave of sickness 'Finally, Kudzu, you have no idea how much I've wanted to have a proper conversation with you. I'll put it to you as it is. If you choose to defend your little one, I will have to crush you and the rest of the guild. However, should you choose to let Chima go towards his fate without any obstruction, I shall leave your clan alone. The choice is yours as his mother.' I shivered as I realised who just spoke to me.

"Kudzu are you okay?" Devin asked. Everyone had noticed that I didn't look too good, but I assured each and every one of them that I was fine. I was told by Mew that Chima's safety would result in our demise, but leaving Chima to his own would save us. No matter which way I looked at it, I couldn't see us winning in this. I had to tell the others and see what they thought the best course of action was.

"I know this may sound like I'm going crazy, but just now Mew spoke to me and she told me that If we choose to defend Chima, then she will wipe us away, but if we choose to leave him then we will all be spared. I need to know what you would like to do." I looked down at Chima and noticed that he was terrified that he may be left to fight for himself in an impossible battle.

Before anyone could respond, before anyone could react I was hit hard by an ice beam and I could feel everything go cold. I fell to the ground and Chima rushed to face me. I looked around and saw that I wasn't the only one to get hit; Luctis and Avo had also gone down. However, the thing that caught my eyes the most was Amara just standing there, staring into the near distance, right where Demyx was. Her eyes were brimming with tears "Demyx how could you? Why would you?" she cried running to my aid as well. Demyx snarled and bared his teeth at us as he walked closer. Taphyn stepped in his way and shot a warning ice shard just in front of him. Demyx grinned darkly and surged forwards towards Taphyn, catching him off guard. Demyx leapt into the air and brutally hammered Taphyn to the ground with an iron tail. Demyx's eyes showed the loss of emotion, the loss being replaced with some kind of lust for violence. As Taphyn lay still on the ground I stood up.

"Demyx, what has happened to you? Taphyn is your friend and look what you have done. You need to stop this at once!" I yelled, seeing how distraught Amara was.

Demyx cackled and looked me in the eyes "I'm doing this because Chima should not be here at all. Mew has shown me herself what horrible consequences there are if we are not rid of him. Look at all of you, sticking up for someone who isn't even what they look like." He spat, his eyes filled with anger. I couldn't believe he had accused Chima of being a cause of anything. I was about to attack him and I had my tail ready to become a leaf blade, but I couldn't charge all the energy up. I missed my opportunity because I saw Mew float towards us, Demyx looked over his shoulder and grinned "Mew, I am afraid they are failing to see our ways." Mew looked across at all of us and then looked back at Demyx and nodded before both of them began to glow with some kind of energy.

Mew was muttering something that I presume only Demyx knew, because his grin grew wider until the glowing stopped and he looked around at us with polished strength. At that moment I figured out what Mew had done. Mew had given demyx boosted abilities to be able to take all of us out. "Amara come with me." I called and picked up Chima, dashing away before Demyx knew what happened. Amara got to my side quickly and we both glanced back as everyone got further and further away. A tear formed in my eye as I thought about Taphyn.

Taphyn's POV

I woke up quickly, my head feeling very sore and I felt extremely nauseous. I looked up and saw Mew floating alongside Demyx as they looked upon Avo, Luctis and Devin. I weakly stumbled over to them and ended all their stares. "W-where's Amara and Kudzu and Chima?" I grunted, my head throbbing with pain.

Luctis didn't move her head, trying to analyse what was happening "She and Amara ran off with Chima to keep him safe and now we're going to have to battle a deity and Demyx, who now has near deity power." She said with little emotion in her voice. I noticed the three of them charging up their own respective attacks. Avo was the first to unleash his thunderbolt and it was just about to hit Demyx until Mew blocked its path and used protect. Luctis's eyes glowed and she released a psybeam and it was also blocked by Mew's protect. Devin ran forward and disappeared and reappeared to use faint attack on Demyx, but Demyx had clearly detected it and lifted his iron tail and slammed Devin away with ease. It was obvious that the two of them were going to be stronger than us combined.

I stepped forwards in between the two warring sides "Mew, what purpose do you have for Chima?" I asked just as I dodged an overpowered hydro pump. Her eyes glowed 'My purpose for him is his destruction. He should not have stumbled upon your clan. He will destroy it if he is not gone for good. I am certain.' She asserted. I stepped closer and she drew closer to me "I do not understand why he would destroy our clan. Perhaps you can enlighten me?" I raise my eye brows and narrowly avoid another hydro pump. Mews eyes glow and she smiles 'Of course I can show you.' Suddenly I found myself in a room of total darkness until I looked up and saw the beginnings of colour creep in through the sheet of nothing. The whole landscape suddenly appeared to me. The sky became a mix of crimson and maroon as I saw the tell-tale signs of a fire. The blue night sky that would usually be seen was covered by a thick purple haze, making it seem maroon in appearance. I stopped looking at the sky and saw that there was a group of Vulpix and Ninetales, only a small group, and they were weeping and cursing as they watched their territory get destroyed. However, I noticed that some of them were jeering at something that was clearly trying to fight them off.

The 'something' that was struggling screamed out "L-let me go! I didn't do this, I swear. I would never hurt your clan. Please, Jaden, you must believe me!" One of the Ninetales looked away sorrowfully and tears streamed down her cheeks.

"I can't Alivia, I just can't. Everything that has happened….it all points to you. We can't afford to lose any more than we already have. I gave you my trust and you literally crushed it." The Ninetales growled at the ground and walked away slowly, clearly having to reluctantly accept the fate of this unknown being. She looked across and right through me, sighing deeply "I think we can leave her now."

Immediately all of the Ninetales and Vulpix scattered away and left a female human lying down on the ground, too exhausted to move. She lay almost still, only her shallow breaths could be heard over the faint tapping from the spitting fires blazing close by. I approached the girl and looked down at her wounded body. Her face had been severely scratched and had been covered in her own dried blood, it was a mess. Her hair had been pulled out and charred in some places. As I looked down I could have sworn she looked back at me, knowing I was there. She began to murmur incoherently until I heard her say "Bring her on." She smiled and closed her eyes. I stepped back and saw Mew appear, looking over the human, smiling to herself.

"I didn't actually think that Jaden would go through with this." Mew said, immediately holding up a fake empathetic tone to the girl. The girl slowly opened her eyes and smiled.

She looked Mew directly in the eyes "You don't need to lie to me Mew I know why you're here. I just don't understand why you have to do this." She shook her head as best she could.

Mew looked down at the girl, dumbfounded at how calm this girl was "You're not in the right position to ask me." She replied bluntly. The girl heaved herself into a sitting position, although she could barely manage that without wincing.

"It's not as if I'll be able to tell anyone though." The girl coughed.

Mew rolled her eyes "You really want to know!?" she shouted, startling the girl, but she nodded after her shock "There is a reason that humans are not Pokemon. That reason is beyond me and every single being. However, a human being a Pokemon is not right because they were made to not have the powers that Pokemon do have, because as far as everything else is concerned, humans have everything else. You humans created devices to capture Pokemon, to use their powers. Humans have always had a lust for everything that would make them stronger, but the reason humans made all these devices was because they were trying to get as close to having that power as they could. So caught up with their desire for power that they forgot that power wasn't actually important. The bad thing about a human becoming a Pokemon is that they then have the potential to harness that power and find a way to bridge the gap between human and Pokemon. Once that gap has been bridged, humans will then move on to make sure that they are the ultimate race, and this would mean they would eliminate any threats, the threats are Pokemon, so through the gap being bridged, the result would be the near extinction of Pokemon altogether."

The girl shook her head now, crying to herself, and losing control of her emotions "No! No, I would never do that! That Clan was way too kind to me, I'm not gonna break the trust they gave me. Y-you're the reason they did this to me." She practically growled at Mew and tried to swipe at her.

Mew easily moved out of the way and tutted "You're no longer a Vulpix Alivia, there's no point trying to attack me. You cannot stop fate, not even you 'the girl who changed her fate' can." She shook her head at the girl, stopping her right where she was.

The girl struggled in Mew's psychic hold and tried to break free. It was an incredible sight to watch as I could literally see the heat she had as a Vulpix try and fight back against the psychic wall that had been built up, surrounding her body. "Mew, you're wrong, I'm not like that. You planted all this on me…..I can't explain it, but I know you did." She said, her eyes filling with tears as Mew drew closer, her palm glowing as she got ready to get rid of the human.

Mew whispered in the girl's ear "Child, you have nothing to say I was responsible, your whole family have left you. The clan who once trusted you beat you and left you half-dead here. Child, what I am about to do is free you." The girl seemed to calm down after this and Mew then placed one of her paws on the girl's forehead. Her paw began to glow until it was so bright that it almost hurt my eyes to look at it. The brightness crawled across the girl's body until she became a human shaped orb of light. I watched as I could hear the faint screams being drawn out from her as I saw the light disappear from her feet. I watched until I saw that only half of her body was left, the other half disappeared with the light. I knew what was going to happen.

I couldn't watch anymore and called out to Mew "I've seen enough, you needn't show me the girl's death." I sighed deeply. Soon, within seconds my sight was invaded by the space of pitch darkness again. My eyes almost felt blinded when I returned to present day to the exact moment as if not even a second had passed.

'Now do you see?' she asked, glaring across at the others as they watched me with anxiety. "Taphyn get back here!" I heard Luctis call and I looked around to see them all staring at me "Look out!" she screamed and I quickly ducked down, evading a hydro pump.

I looked back at Mew "What exactly does Chima have to do with a human you killed?" I frowned. 'That is simple. The two of them are related in the way that Chima is also a human.' Mew stated her face still, void of any sympathy for that girl that she killed so easily, so mercilessly. "Chima is no human. You have seen for yourself, he is an Eevee and deity or not, you have no right to manipulate our numbers and kill our young." I said, my eyes locking onto Mew, although I was finding it harder to see because my eyes were filling up with tears of frustration. I couldn't understand what Mew was getting to, but I didn't like it at all. I saw Mew in a different light. No longer was she a respected deity to me, but she was corrupt and would use any cheap method to show her power.

I was pulled away by Luctis and surrounded by her and Devin "Avo, you might want to listen as well." Luctis gestured for Avo to keep an eye on Demyx, but listen to her "Taphyn, as hard as this may be to deal with, Mew is right. Chima is…..or at least was a human before he came into our clan. How this happened is even beyond Chima himself." I stood there completely speechless, unable to comprehend what I was told. I looked at Avo and although he was shocked, he simply dismissed it and continued to observe Mew and Demyx.

Mew looked at all of us and grinned. She then looked down at Demyx and nodded before he ran away, passing us in the direction Amara, Kudzu and Chima. "Now, because you four are all foolish enough to defy me, I am going to be rid of you as I will be with Chima. I'm giving you one final chance." Mew smiled and extended a paw to us as a gesture of good will, but we stood there, glaring at her. She sighed at us "Very well." She charged up and orb of light, similar to the one used to kill the girl. She fired and we all dodged out of the way as the beam exploded upon impact with the ground. Despite my head still aching horribly, I assumed an attacking stance along with all of the others. We were ready, even if it was going to be the last thing we ever did. We were fighting for our lives as well as Chima's now.

Amara's POV

Kudzu and I had been running as quick as we could through the parts of the forest that we knew, always checking back to see if we were being followed. Fortunately we never saw anyone giving chase to us, so as soon as we thought the time was right, we stopped and had a break. Kudzu put Chima down and we wereboth panting and wheezing. After a few minutes, I calmed my breathing. However, this was soon broken when I burst out into tears "Why Kudzu? Why? Demyx…..h-he's not the same Vaporeon as the one I fell in love with….the one that was always so calm and thoughtful." Kudzu walked over to me and nuzzled me gently.

"I know Amara, it's terrible and shouldn't have happened, but there's nothing that can be done for now." She held me close with her tail as I cried into her fur. I noticed out the corner of my eye Chima was walking up to me.

He looked up at me with his ears flattened and he was looking at me as if he was apologising "Amara, I think Demyx is just lost at the moment." He quietly said, thinking I would be angry at him. I sat down next to him and softly nuzzled him.

He nuzzled back silently "Yes, I think you're right little one." I said to him. Kudzu moved next to us and we all sat in utter silence, waiting for when Mew or Demyx inevitably showed up. We kept Chima as close as we could so that there was little chance of him being taken.

In the silence I felt scared, so I began to whisper to Kudzu "Do you think the others are okay?" I asked, but before she could reply I heard a low growl that made my spine chill and my fur stood on edge. I knew it was Demyx, but I had never heard him growl so darkly. I was startled and fear was written all over my face. I glanced across at Kudzu and saw that she was frowning off into the distance.

"Show yourself Demyx. The mind games are not working on me." Kudzu said in a cold, harsh tone. I watched in terror as I saw Demyx's form slowly appear, his body looking much darker and I could almost literally feel the power radiate off of him. His teeth were bared at Kudzu and then at me, causing me to recoil in fear. "Demyx, we know why you're here, but we can't let you take him. He is mine." Kudzu stepped up to Demyx, putting her face just inches away from his, growling back. "Look at yourself. So easily manipulated by Mew. The Demyx we knew would have been able to resist something as pitiful as that. As far as we are concerned, you are no longer welcome in the clan." Kudzu warned, snarling in his face.

Demyx grinned at Kudzu "I don't think you're able to really stop me now. Mew granted me powers that you can only dream of. I will take Chima and you will see that all stability will be regained." Kudzu walked away from him and back to us. I could see Demyx almost attack her right then, but he held back, still wearing that sadistic grin. He walked up to us and looked at me "Hello my dear." He said, but I didn't know how to react. It sounded genuine, but I couldn't trust him.

Kudzu quickly snapped at him "Stay away from her! Look at this Demyx, this is what you've driven your own mate to. She won't even speak to you now because she's terrified of what you've become. How glorious does all this power seem now?" he shook his head and chuckled.

"If she no longer wants to be with me then so be it. One individual's loss will not affect my clan." He stated boldly.

Kudzu lashed out at him "It is not your clan! It is everyone's. We are just there for extra guidance, so don't you dare act as if you are the sole leader of a clan that now won't even want you. I can only see you impose a reign of tyranny, and our clan will only suffer from that."

Demyx had enough and fired an ice beam in retaliation to Kudzu's painful words "You have no right to talk to me like that Kudzu." Kudzu barely dodged the beam and quickly headed back to Chima. Demyx fired another whilst Kudzu wasn't looking. It was going to be a direct hit, so I quickly jumped in the way and rolled away from the impact. The type may have been to my advantage, but with his boosted power, that hurt me.

Kudzu froze on the spot, shocked at how I had just saved her. I shouted to her "Take Chima and go." She nodded and picked up Chima, beginning to run away with him. Demyx tried to make chase, but I blocked his way. My whole body was shaking with fear and this made Demyx smile sadistically at me "Y-you are not getting Chima. You're going to have to get through me." I said, standing my ground, becoming more confident as I looked into his eyes, telling me that Demyx was gone, and that stopping him was the only way.

He laughed at me "You really think that you can take me on? I am already stronger against you because of my water attacks, but now? Now I have powers of a deity. Amara, be a good little mate and stay out of the way." He barked before laughing again.

I smirked at him "That may be so, but I can remember every single one of your weaknesses. I bet with your clouded memory that you don't even remember the day that we met, so I believe we are even in this situation."

He smirked back before circling around me "It will be a shame that I have to kill you first. I could have even spared you if you didn't intervene with my little game with Kudzu and Chima. Just think, you could have been my queen as we ruled our clan with no quarrels. You can think of it, but you decided what path you wanted to take and unfortunately it has resulted in the conflict we are soon to engage in. I will admit Amara, I knew you were going to die by my side, but I never thought it would be like this." He finished circling me and assumed an attacking position.

"I wouldn't be your queen even if it meant that you would be at least half normal again. I know you're not thinking right anymore, and it's time for you to relax that mind of yours. I am not going to kill you," She smiles "but I am going to knock some sense into you." Demyx pounced and very nearly caught me straight away. As soon as he recovered he blasted a hydro pump at me and it struck me.

I gritted my teeth and stood up again "Do you see what I mean Amara? One hit and you're already exhausted." He grinned. The only way I could possibly get past his attacks was by using the area to my advantage. I had been to this place many times, so I knew where the best places were. I didn't know how well I could use the area though because my fire attacks would definitely be weak against him, so I would have to use my wits in battle rather than sheer volumes of power because I didn't want to tire myself out. I needed every single grain of energy conserved in moderate proportion in order to stand any chance of even holding Demyx back for a minute.

He fired another hydro pump, but this time I dodged it with ease and he growled in frustration. "That first one was a lucky shot and you know it." I panted, grinning at him. He charged forwards at me and I saw his tail glow a bright blue. I ran at him, my own tail glowing, but only glowing in a bright light. Our tails clashed and we both held them locked in place as we growled at each other before backing away from each other.

I fired a flamethrower attack at him, knowing that it wouldn't do much, but it would be enough to slow up his actions and as soon as the stream of fire hit him I was already in a flame wheel circling around him, enclosing him in a ring of fire. He put out the fire, but this gave me time to attack again and I quickly struck his side with an iron tail. However, because of his boosted abilities, the attack did less than it normally would so he only shook slightly and reacted by swinging his aqua tail into me.

I landed a few metres back and stood up easier than I thought it would. However, I soon collapsed back down after a few more attack hit me. Demyx was still looking fairly beaten up because of my persistence. He slowly walked up to me and circled around me "I will admit Amara, you did much better than I thought and you even made me feel a little bit threatened, but unfortunately for you, knowing the area and my weaknesses is not going to be enough." He walked closer to me, brushing his body across my fur "I am sorry I have to do this." His kissed the top of my head. However, he didn't know that the whole time I had been charging up a last resort hyper beam. He noticed that I wasn't talking "So you've given up so much that you won't talk? How pathetic." He said coldly to me. He lowered down a little and looked into my eyes "Say something, anything before I end your life." He got closer, our faces were only inches apart and I smiled "There's no reason to smile Amara." He said, but his eyes went wide when I winked at him and opened my mouth, my hyper beam blasting him back into a thick tree.

Demyx fell to the ground, his face now bruised horribly; his back and spine was shaped oddly after the impact. He was not dead, but barely living and I wept as I saw what I had done to my mate. I kept on telling myself "I had to do this. I had to." Demyx's eyes opened and he looked at me, but I could tell that it was still the Demyx who was willing to kill me.

"Amara, end my pain for me." He called to me, his voice weak from the pain.

I looked at him and then turned away. I would leave him for later. I would let him suffer like he was willing to let others suffer. I decided that Kudzu had probably gone in a direction that I couldn't track her, so I decided to find the others with Mew. I traced my steps from before and within seconds I was greeted with a loud 'BOOM'. I rushed to the source and saw all of the others trying to stand their ground against Mew, who looked like she was playing with them. As soon as I came into their view I heard Mew giggle and soon I was thrown into a narrow tree. My body arched as I braced the impact, immediately falling to the ground, but I was quick enough to land on my feet, although shakily.

'So nice of you to join us Amara.' She smirked at me, picking me up again and bringing me close. I faced away from her as our faces nearly touched. 'Hmm, I see you have managed to stop Demyx. Pity, he was a trusted worker and was very good at what he did.' I angrily looked her in the eyes "You….you changed him. He is no longer the Demyx our clan has known and loved. You made him a cold, heartless Pokemon. You say that Chima will be the downfall of our clan, but you are the only one actually causing anything bad to happen." Mew returned with her own look of anger, quickly she threw me at the others and I hit Devin and we tumbled just in front of Avo who helped us up.

Before any of us could react we were all caught in the hyper beam that Mew shot at us. I used my flame wheel and charged at Mew. She blocked my attack, but was immediately struck down by Devin's dark pulse that he emitted just behind her back. Mew quickly recovered and used hypnosis on Avo, meaning that his electric attacks would have to wait. Taphyn bravely smacked Mew's back with an iron tail. However, Mew used the momentum of her fall to catch us off guard with an Earthquake as she landed on the ground. Luctis quickly reacted by lifting us all into the air, taking all the damage herself. Whilst being suspended I fired a loose flamethrower and it blinded Mew's vision as the flames blocked her sight of us. 'We only have one shot. I would like everyone to use their hyper beam attack. The least we can do is show Mew that we are not to be messed with, legendary or not.' Luctis spoke telepathically to us. I looked at the others and saw that Taphyn and Devin were both charging up a hyper beam. Luctis put us on the ground and began to charge up her own hyper beam. I continued blocking Mew's vision with my flames, although I was now struggling, so I decided to go on the offensive and I aimed my attack directly at Mew.

I heard a tree crack and I soon found myself having to dodge an uprooted tree. This was the perfect time for the three of them to strike. They bounded over the tree and fired directly at Mew. Two of the beams hit directly and the other made a crater for Mew to fall into. We all ran down the crater and saw Mew. She was barely standing and breathing heavily. She glared at us, her eyes filled with rage. Mew growled quickly and then there was suddenly a burst of light and we all became blinded by it. I opened my eyes once I felt safe enough to risk it. I looked around the entire crater and found that Mew had gone. I looked into the sky and saw Mew fleeing. 'You got lucky. All of you did. However, try venturing out of the crater you created.' I heard Mew's voice giggle manically as she flew away.

Tentatively I walked forwards and walked up to the edge of the crater. I tried to take a step out, but soon my mind was filled with brutal pain squeezing at my mind. Luctis noticed my reaction and carefully probed into my mind before gasping "Amara, I never thought it was possible, but Mew has actually created a whole field of psychic energy that has effectively trapped us in here. If we even step one paw outside then we will be crushed by all of the free roaming psychic potential outside of our 'prison'." She sighed and sat down with a glum expression on her face. Taphyn followed her example and the two of them moped in self pity.

Devin was pacing around inside and seemed restless. "Devin, what's wrong?" he looked up and then walked over to me.

"I was just wondering when Avo was going to wake up. He's not inside here, so there's every reason to believe that he can still help Kudzu and Chima." I was taken aback by his words and remembered that Chima and Kudzu were still on the run. It was now obvious to me where Mew had gone. In only a matter of time, Chima and Kudzu would have to face Mew for themselves. All their efforts on running were now a waste. Mew was coming for them, and Mew was not happy.

A/N: Hope you guys liked it. Because of my new (harder) education, I am saying that you will maybe see an update twice a month. I am now nearly done with this story, but for those of you who like it. Make suggestions on what I could do next. In my school holidays is when I will most likely be able to update quickly, but I'm always checking my messages. Please leave a review, I love reading what you guys think of how I'm doing. It always gives me the incentive to do better. Thank you. I'll update whenever I can. Bye.
