Sorry for the rather lengthy delay. Life tends to happen.

Nasus enjoyed the last rays of sunlight. He was so used to scorching sun that this one seemed almost cold by comparison.
Walking leisurely he paid no real mind to where his feet took him. People pointed, although no one seemed eager to approach the Curator of the Sands, something that suited him well enough.
A young girl stepped out in front of him, barring the way. Going by her height she was probably around thirteen or so. A nervous looking boy, whom couldn't have been much older, stood off to the side watching nervously.
Nasus stopped, looking down at the girl, resisiting the urge to smile. The young one always found his canine fangs a most distressing sight. Crouching down to seem less intimidating he waited looking at the girl.
Taking the hint the young girl hurried forward. Even kneeling, She barely came to his chest.
"What do you desire young one?" He asked kindly.
"Well, my mom and my dad, and my brother all think you are the best champion. Can you sign this?"
"Of course. What is your name little one"
"Sarah, and I'm not little, I'll be ten soon!"
Nasus chuckled and scrawled his mark on the paper using his own special pen. The ink had sand in it that always shifted, a very simple piece of magic but one the young ones seemed to enjoy.
Breathlessly Sarah took the paper and before he could react she flung herself forward and hugged his chest, or what amount of chest her arms fit around.
Smiling in truth, the champion patted her head and rose to his feet.
"Off with you. The sun is hot."
Sarah rant to her brother and the two children took off, presumably home while Nasus got to his feet.
Looking up at the sun, slowly beginning to set upon the Shurima Desert Nasus couldn't help but smile. This place truly did remind him of home, that hot place where he was more than a figure of combat, but a protector and guardian.
"Hi"
Turning Nasus saw no one, and was confused for a moment.
"Down."
Tilting his head down Nasus looked at Rammus, The Armadillo.
"Hi." He said again.
"Hello to you as well. Not often do I see another champion outside The fields of battle."
"Yep."
"Care to walk my friend?"
"Ok."
Both walked in silence out into the desert, neither bothered by the sun above.
"What bring you to the desert?" Nasus asked after an hour or so of walking."
"Home."
"You were born here? Intriguing."
"Yep."
Nasus knew the small warrior was not much for conversation and he seemed even less inclined on this topic, not that he could really blame him. Nasus didn't talk much about home either."
"How did you come about that armor?"
"Made."
"You had it made? Or you made it?"
"Me."
"You seem intelligent enough. Why is it you only speak in single words?"
"Better to be quite and thought an idiot. Than to open your mouth and confirm it." Rammus replied.
Nasus wasn't sure if he should be offended or not.
"I suppose you are right."
"Yep."
"Well, shall we return before nightfall?"
"Ok."
Minutes ticked by un eventfully until the ground began shaking.
"Must you cause those? I have no intention of fighting you."
"Not me."
With a screech and eruption of sand a Large worm reached into the air, clearing the sand before tipping and beginning its fall. Right where the two champions stood.
Nasus leapt out of the way while Rammus tucked and rolled clear.
"Kill?"
"We shall." Nasus replied.
Sand rolled and the ground shook and the worm began rising again.
Not waiting for it to be airborn Nasus slammed his staff into the side, creating a massive hole.
The Worm didn't seem to notice the blow and kept up its descent.
Rammus kept his roll up and bashed into the side of the beast.
Once airborne it tipped again orienting on Rammus.
Once again, the Armadillo rolled clear easily.
"Ever play golf?"
Rammus looked at him and smiled.
Both champion began running from where the worm had landed.
A minute later the ground shook and the beast rose up, eating the sand itself as it chased after the fleeing champions.
Nasus drew on his full power and his weight increase, the added strength of each step, the strength in his corded muscles. Sand began dancing around him.
Rammus curled up, the ground shaking around him as it had the worm.
Turning Nasus planted his feet and Cracked Rammus with his staff.
The Armadillo left the ground with a thunderclap, spinning as he went.
Smashing into the worm There was a sharp decrease in its momentum.
Nasus stopped, allowing the sand around him to settle once more as he saw the worm play out it's momentum.
Rammus rolled up, most of his armor was clean, the sand having scrubbed worm blood off. He stopped in front of Nasus.
"Hole in one?"
