I FEEL SO GUILTY! One, for not being more specific at the end on the last chapter! I should have realized it and I apologize I will be allot more clear in my work :) I've also proof read this chapter so no mistakes. A too fast mind is better than a too slow one I guess. And as for the end of the last chapter:
It was Clary and not Alec! (But not to worry Alec will be showing up soon)

Chapter 20: Lucky One
The boys were mysterious, that was for sure, but you could tell from their eerie silence they were worth getting to know. And Izzy could've sworn there was another. Where had he gone?
Though it didn't matter did it?
There were plenty others, they all looked similar anyway. Besides it wasn't actually like they were doing this to get a "mate", just a little fun.
A little competition.
Just for show.
"Hello ladies," the woman with striking contrast to the boys said. Interrupting their one sided conversations. Her bright smile said she was enthusiastic, but her glare told a different story.
"Hello," Izzy replied with direct ferociousness. Maia stayed quiet, she may be vicious at times, but she could tell when it was best to not cross paths.
But Izzy on the other hand...
"I was just wondering what you were dressed up as?" Izzy asked, bringing up the conversation her and Maia had just a little earlier. The silent judging pumping through both girls as hard as the music through the halls.
"Just a little something I put together. My boys decided to match with me. Isn't that right?" The boys nodded in unison. All four of them almost like it was rehearsed. The coolness of the woman's voice only made Izzy more frustrated than she already was. Truthfully she didn't even want to start mess. She had her eye out for one guy at this party. And though these boys were handsome, Izzy had someone in particular she'd rather have.
Maia noticed Izzy's confidence change at the blink of an eye. Instead of being straight and determined, she looked as if she was being beaten from the inside out.
Her demeanor had completely changed. Her face became puckered and her eyes watered at the sides. Not only was Izzy feeling bad, but she could physically feel herself drooping.
She turned away from the woman, who was smirking, with a hand shielding her dejected sad face. The woman's smile faltered, as well as the mens, when Izzy flicked her off fading into the crowds of costumes.
Still keeping her competition score in check, winning the 'last word'.

"What the hell happened back there?" Maia questioned Izzy, shaking her shoulders bit to give her a jolt of reality.
Izzy grabbed Maia's hands and closed them together. Her eyes weren't watery anymore but she was a little flustered.
"I just.. I don't know."
Maia smiled. "It's fine I know-"
"Isabelle?" A recognizable voice said from behind her. Maia's eyes bugged through her head when she caught a glance at Simon. "Where's Clary?" She immediately questioned. Now politely ignoring Izzy's breakdown. Izzy let her feelings go to give a death glare at Simon. One for taking Clary and helping her hide and two for making her feel too much.
Simon burrowed his brows confused, "I thought she went to get more drinks, but she wasn't there so I figured she was with you. Is he not with you?" He sounded less puzzled and more panicked now. Which really didn't help with the girls already frazzled attitudes.
"I- I'm calling Jordan." Maia stuttered, reaching for her cell in her back pocket.
"What the hell!" Izzy shrieked. Poking Simons chest deeply with her nail, or claw as Simon would put it.
He looked her in the eye, appearing more ashamed with himself by the second. "Why did you leave without telling us where you were? You scared us half to death, now even more!" She had frustrated tears collecting in her eyes.
'You hurt me', she wanted to add. 'I sensed something in you'. She decided on not saying them. It would give Simon the satisfaction on hearing how she felt, when he didn't deserve to.
"Isabelle I'm-"
"Jordan doesn't know where she is, or Jace for that matter. I think we should stick together and look." Maia suggested, looking alarmed.
Izzy nodded. "I think that's best." She glsred back at Simon, "YOU stay here, we're going to start looking before something bad happens." Almost as if on cue a circular space of people started to form further down the crowded hall. Making room for something in the middle. The girls starting running, loosing simon in the madness, crossing their fingers hoping the people in there weren't the ones they were looking for.
And as always it didn't help. The girls pushed through shocked faces to disgusted ones as they made their way into the core of the attraction.
Izzy gasped.
It was Jace. He was crouching on the floor, hair covering his horror stricken face, and scooping up a limb body. Izzy was paralyzed with fear. She could feel her heart stop when she saw that the lifeless looking girl had bright red hair.

"Jon." Clary choked, holding back tears of both shock and happiness. "Where are we? Why are you here? Am I dead?" She gasped hold a shaking palm to her mouth. "Are we dead?" Her mumbled voice cracked.
He rolled his dark eyes. "Calm down we aren't dead."
Clary's eyes enlarged with a deep curiosity. She looked around. It was still dark, nothing more than her and Jon in an empty space of nothing. She almost started doubting herself on the monters she had seen earlier, mistaking them for allusions.
Was Jonathan an allusion? Even if he was It wouldn't hurt to talk then anyway would it?
"Where are we then?"
Jon pondered for a moment. "I honestly don't know."
Clary frowned. "Then how do we get out?"
He pondered again, this time resting his head on his knuckles, like he was actually putting a full effort on this. He shrugged, "We just do."
Clary grunted, "You are making absolutely no sense at all."
Jon looked at his sister. "You think I'm messing with you?"
"I think you just don't want to tell me where we are and why!"
Jon grimaced, standing straighter with confidence. "I know the why part." Clary scoffed crossing her arms over her chest. He was obviously lying just to joke with her. "Then why? Enlighten me please."
His expression became serious and stern. "You experienced a new emotion."
Clary studied his solemn face and started laughing. "You are not serious?" When he glared at her she immediately stopped. "You are serious?"
Jon sighed, pacing back and forth in the nothingness. "It's a curse I am told. It only runs in the Morgenstern line." Clary chased after her brother, hinting for him to be still so she could talk face to face. He didn't get the memo.
Out of breath she asked, "What do you mean a curse? What is it?"
Jon halted, leaving Clary to bump blindly into his back. He ran a hand through his slick white hair not eager to tell the story, but nevertheless didn't have a choice.
"Our father has it. As did our grandparents and ancestors before that." He started, a storytelling tone now in his voice.
"No one really knows how it started just that it's passed down generation to generation. Ruining people's lives one at a time, except for the exceptional few that come every few millennia' likes to think that that lucky one is him. And who could blame him really he has everything money, a wife, children. Except the "Lucky One" isn't supposed to have kids with the curse. And apparently when I was born something, an unknown emotion, had made me change."
Jonathan started breathing heavily, like an animal defending its territory.
"My eyes grew dark and that's when he knew." Jon's hands turned to fists at his sides. "He wasn't it.
"Dad immediately grew a hate towards me causing our own mother to eventually turn against too." He smiled jealously and it made Clary shiver. Running down her spine and back up again, like a ghost had walked straight through her. "Then you were born.
"Mom loved you, so did father. You didn't have my condition. You were the golden child. You gave dad hope." Jon scoffed, "So much for him thinking he could be the Lucky One."
Something spread through Clary's chest, hurt? Jon had a much worse childhood than hers, and lets face it hers was pretty bad. Clary's parents didn't know how to be parents. But then again Jon didn't even have parents, it was like they disowned him.
And that was way worse.
"That still doesn't explain why I'm here."
Jon shrugged again. "Like I said, I don't even know what emotion triggered my darkness." He but his lip, interested, "But you're old enough to remember. Huh Clarissa? What were you doing right before you came here?"
Clary blushed, thinking about her kiss with Jace. It was like an explosion and coursed through her brain to inside her skull. "I have no idea," she lied. But not exactly. She didn't inform her brother on the kiss she had, but it's not like she knew what that was. It was just a kiss.
Just a kiss.
Just a kiss?
"Whatever," Jon said waving her off.
Clary looked around, it was still dark everywhere, but she could help but think "What now?"
Jon looked at her, "Now we wait."

It felt like over an hour. Jon had long gone passed, he apparently had got himself "under control" whatever that meant.
And Clary just had sat there, thinking about her life, choices, the baby. But mostly her brother.
She had always thought of him scary when he was in that dark mode of his. He had told her that his first few times, and years of his life, instead of still being awake like he was now he had just passed out. And that scared Clary to think about. Not having control over yourself, but being able to see all your mistakes and correct them. It must be hell. It would soon be hell for her too. Time still passed by, but soon she started to feel a tug on her chest.
Clary started following it, not that she had a choice. It felt like someone was ripping her to life like a corner of a piece of paper. And whenever Clary stopped following it the clingy forced would wrench her so much that she would gag. So she walked and soon started jogging aimlessly on what seemed to be the terrain sloping upward. A bright light caught in her eyes as she jolted from up her position on the grass. Clary looked around, assembling her surroundings like a puzzle. Her mind was still fuzzy but she remembered what had happened like it just took place minutes ago.
"Clary?" A raspy voice asked, cradling her cheeks in their hands. It was Jace. And he looked like a hot mess. Literally he may have looked like a mess, but damn how could he still pull it off?
"Where am I? What happened?" She played the oblivious card, maybe then no one would ask questions. Maybe people would leave her alone, especially Jace. She couldn't get what Jon had said to her out of her mind. What emotion could've cause the trigger? And why did it happen with Jace.
"You fainted," he informed. Looking at her with worry.
Was he not going to bring up Simon?
Maia and Izzy's stood behind him grasping hands for dear life. They had sighed with relief and joined Jace in the grass when they heard Clary responding.
"What are we doing?" Clary asked. "Why are we just going to hang out in front of an awesome house party and not inside it?" She chuckled light heartedly, quieting herself with their expressions.
"We're waiting for an ambulance," Maia said, looking toward the road. "But that was a long time ago. Why aren't they here yet?"
Clary laughed and everyone stared at her incredulously. "It's a party, no one's going to call the ambulance. The cops would show up." She started to stand and Jace pushed her back on the ground. "We could still drive you to the hospital to see of you're alright!"
"I'm fine," she waved. "Let's just go home." Clary stood walking toward all the cars. She almost jumped in surprise when saw a familiar man with slicked back ghastly hair and a mask wink art her. Looking like a sign of praise. Was it... Jonathan? So it had been real. She wasn't hallucinating. It made her even more inquisitive about the curse she had and how it was triggered. Clary shook it off and looked back where her friends hadn't moved a muscle, still watching her every move with concern.
"Are you all coming or what?"

Getting strapped in the backseat the girls checked Clary for scratches and bruises before Jace even started the vehicle. Apparently they were leaving Jordan because he was leaving with his roommate. The girls scoured all over Clary's body even trying to take a look at her thighs, but she had smacked their hands away. Seeing Jace's hidden smirks in the rearview mirror.
She stuck her tongue out at him and he chuckled silently.
When the girls finally got to Clary's head, Izzy look shocked. "Clary are you sure you're okay?" She asked, gaining the other two's attention with one sentence. "Like I said I'm fine," Clary touched her face. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Clary," Izzy gasped leaning closer to her face. "Have your eyes always been that dark?"
