"You don't work today?" Tori asks Jade when she heads to the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast before going to work.
"No. Dad's outta town and he gave me the day off." Jade says, eating her breakfast, two pancakes, two eggs, some bacon, and toast. "There's a plate in the microwave." She tells the half-Latina when she goes to grab some cereal.
"You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were going soft." Tori taunts as she grabs the plate from the microwave.
"Who's to say I didn't poison it?" Jade counters with a smirk, taking a bite of her eggs.
"Because if you do, I'll do whatever I can to make sure my dad finds out." Tori counters back, sitting across from Jade. "And you know it's true." She says with a smirk of her own.
"Who's to say you'll live long enough to feel the effects?" Jade says, swallowing the eggs.
"This is probably the darkest conversation we've ever had so early in the morning." Tori states, eating her eggs. "What are you going to do today since you don't have to work?" She asks, changing the subject.
"Hang out around here. Get caught up on 'America Horror Story: Freakshow'. When's your lunch break?" Jade asks, finishing her eggs and starting on the toast.
"Noon. Why?" Tori asks, staring at the Goth.
"I'll grab something from Nozu and bring it up to you. I want to have a chat with your boss." Jade says with a dark smirk.
"No killing my boss." Tori says, using the knife she picked up to put butter on her toast. "We have security cameras now." She points out.
"I just want to talk." Jade says innocently. "Are there any cameras behind the building?" She asks, finishing one of her slices of toast.
"No?" Tori says, staring at Jade. "There would be, but if anyone smokes, they smoke out front since that's where the ashtrays are." She says, raising an eyebrow as she eats.
"Good." Jade says, smiling.
"You're gonna do more than talk, aren't you?" Tori accuses, finishing her eggs and starting on her bacon. "I'm gonna grab a glass of orange juice." She says, standing up and heading into the kitchen.
"Grab me some coffee." Jade demands with a smile.
"Promise not to 'talk' to my boss?" Tori asks, grabbing the gallon of orange juice from the fridge and a glass from the cupboard.
"I'll get my own coffee." Jade says, standing up and heading into the small kitchen.
"That's what I thought." Tori says, heading back to finish her breakfast.
"I'm still bringing over some food for lunch." Jade says, pouring her coffee.
"That's fine." Tori says, finishing her breakfast, leaving a few strips of bacon as she drinks her orange juice.
"Like you'd stop me anyway." Jade says, sitting at the table.
"I can try." Tori says, finishing her orange juice quickly then grabbing her phone.
"Who you texting?" Jade asks, sipping her coffee casually.
"Andre and my dad. Letting them know that you'll be bringing my lunch." Tori answers, sending the text to both guys.
"Why would you have to text them that?" Jade asks, raising her pierced eyebrow.
"They like to stop over on my lunch break in case Mark tries anything." Tori says with a grateful smile to her best friend and father, even though they're not there.
"Well, now you got me." Jade says, drinking the rest of her coffee quickly. "Ready to go?" She asks, standing up.
"You're gonna drive me?" Tori asks, confused, as she grabs her glass and takes it to the sink to wash it.
"Yeah." Jade says like it's that simply. "I already told Andre and your sister that I was taking you since they're the ones who usually drive you." She says, rinsing out her coffee mug.
"Well, thank you." Tori says, pocketing her phone, wallet, and keys.
"Welcome. Besides, I want to see what kind of music and DVDs you sell their." Jade says, grabbing her keys and phone.
About fifteen minutes later, after stopping to get a coffee from Sky Bucks, Jade pulls into the small parking lot of Tori's work, staring at some guy and a couple girls outside the door. "That Mark?" Jade asks, eying the guy flirting with the two girls.
"Unfortunately." Tori says, opening the door when Jade puts the car in park. "I don't like how he's staring at her." She says, pointing with her head at the busty blonde.
"Why? You gotta crush or something?" Jade asks, climbing out.
"No. She reminds me of Cat." Tori says, standing beside Jade, staring at her boss and the two girls.
"Just bigger tits and ass." Jade says, nodding.
"Oh, Tori. You're here." Mark says, staring over at Tori and Jade.
"Stop staring at my tits." Jade calls out, glaring at Mark when she notices where his gaze is.
"You looking for a job?" Mark asks Jade, not changing his gaze.
"I have a job. And if you try anything on Tori, you'll be looking for a job. I'll make sure you either lose your job, or wind up in jail for molestation." Jade warns, crossing her arms.
"And how can you be so sure about that?" Mark asks, his attitude changing.
"My father is Christopher West. I work in his law office with him." Jade says with a growing smirk. "Have fun." She says, opening her car door and climbing in. "See you at lunch Tori." She says, pulling away after Tori took a few steps towards her work.
"This won't end well for me." Tori says to herself when she sees the look from her boss.
Sorry this is so short. It's a lead in for the next chapter, where we'll see the backlash of Jade's actions towards Mark.
