The next few days had been spent on base. There where 2 days left before the daedulus left for Atlantis. Sara had shown them how she could move things. Sam had run a few test and was tidying the results at the moment.

"Hey let's get out of this base," Cameron said early in the evening to Daniel and Sara.

"And do what?" Daniel asked.

"How about the fair?"

Sara ears pricked up.

"Isn't that the place with Ferris wheels?"

"Yeah," Cameron said. Sara grinned. She had forgotten about the whole Ferris wheel thing. But John had described what they were like. He said it was like being on top of the world. Looking down at all the amazing colours of a fair. Watching people having fun, and enjoying themselves. It was as if time stopped for the person on top. They could let go of all their fears and worries. They were free. Nothing could harm them up there.

"Looks like where going to the fair," Daniel said with a smile.

Jackets on and shoe laces tied, not forgetting, gloves, hats and scarf's, they headed for the lift and up the parking lot. The jumped in the car and out into the cool evening air. Sara sat quietly in back glancing out the window. The trees rushed past one after another. They moved into a more built up area. They soon arrived at a large entrance. The place was lit with bright lights of all different colours. There where loads of children with their families. They parked up and got out.

There where lots of rides and amusements. There where stalls where you threw things at cans, some where you used a rod to hook a plastic duck, shooting stalls. There was an amazing sent in the air. Sara didn't recognise the smells but her two military friends did.

"Can't go to the fair without cotton candy," Cameron said. He went over to a food van and began talking to a lady. He came back moments later with 3 sticks of pink fluff. He handed one to Sara and one to Daniel. Sara scrunched up her nose.

"It's cotton candy, you eat it," Cameron said, pulling off some of the cotton and eating it. Sara took a bite. It tasted great. It was sweet a light. The closest thing to eating clouds. They soon devoured their cotton candy while they walked around the fair, looking at the various things to do. They stood by one ride, Sara didn't like it. It spun the person on the and of a stick, 60 meters into the air. They watched at the people coming off it. There hair rustled and looking slightly greenish colour. Sara smiled and giggled slightly. The next thing they came to was a mirror labyrinth. You could see the people banging into the mirrored walls.
"Hey lets give that a try," Cameron said. Sara laughed at the idea.
"Come on. I bet I can find my way through it before you can, giggler." Sara wasn't one to turn down a challenge. So she followed him up to the stall. Daniel stayed back and decided to watch. They got to the entrance.

"Ladies first," he said opening the door.

Sara smiled, she was going to win. The one good thing about her powers meant she could sense things better than other people. She had to, to be able to pick things up with her mind. She could sense if something was a wall or not. She casually walked through. Cameron followed not long after. Sara soon got out and went and stood by Daniel.

"Thanks for not telling him," Sara smiled. Daniel was bright enough to understand her powers.

"Oh, I wouldn't have told him for the world. Just look at that," he said pointing to Cameron who was banging into the glass, and looking like a rite idiot.
"Priceless!" Sara giggled at Daniel. After a while Cameron found his way out. His nose looked slightly red.
"How did you do that so fast," Cameron asked rubbing his nose. She tapped her nose.

They wondered round for a bit longer.

"How about we give the game stalls a go," Cameron said.

"I wanna try at something," Sara said.

"Anything," Cameron said. Sara looked around. She saw something. It was perfect. She had ring some jars. You had to get it in the jars. The red one meant you got a large prize.

"That one." she pointed to it.

"I dunno, it looks pretty hard, why don't you try a hook a duck one," Daniel said. Sara frowned at him. Daniel put his hands up.
"Whatever you say."

They walked over and Cameron paid. Sara took the 3 balls. She aid and threw it. She concentrated and the ball floated nicely into the red jar.
"I bet you can't do that again." The man on the stall said, getting a large teddy down. She threw the ball again and in it went. The man was gob smacked.

"Uh, only one large prize per customer." Sara didn't mind. She took the large teddy and put it under her arm. She tried to walk and began to struggle. Daniel took it from her and put it on his back.
"I'll look after him," he smiled.

"Ok my go," Cameron said.

He went over to a shooting stall.

"You have 10 shots, 4 or less hit down - no prize, 5-6 - small prize, 7-9 medium prize, 10 points you get our biggest prize," the man on the stall said. Cameron gave his money to the guy and raised the gun. Sara stood watching.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Cameron hit down every one of the cans. The man on the stall looked stunned. He took the large teddy.

"Wonder if Sam likes teddies?" Cameron said taking the teddy. Daniel and Sara laughed.

"I think it suits you," Sara said.

"Ride time," Daniel said. Daniel didn't look like the kind of person who liked rides but her seemed really enthusiastic about it. The firs ride they went on was a hopping frog. They all got in on car and waited. The ride started. They went round and round the frog in the middle. Then they were lifted into the air and it started to bounce. Sara laughed, Daniel had a big grin on his face and Cameron looked really, well, relaxed! Well what do you expect from someone who flies aeroplanes that hit 6 G's with ease.

They then headed for a Caracal. Cameron said he was way to manly for it and stood on the side. Daniel just ignored him and went on with Sara. Sara liked the horses. Her and Daniel pretended to race their horse's.

"I'm on your tail," Daniel shouted.

"Ha, you'll never catch me."

Sara won in the end having got the horse slightly in front.

They jumped off and then Sara saw it. It towered over the fair. Brightly lights covered it's frame.

Daniel and Cameron looked up to see where she was looking.

"You wanna go on the Ferris wheel?" Cameron asked.

"Yeah," Sara replied.

"I think I'll give it a miss. I'm not to good with heights."

"No chance of getting out Daniel. Now get on." Cameron shoved him in the direction of the Ferris wheel. They all got in and waited for it to start. Sara looked out as it began to move. The cool evening breeze brushed through her hair. She smiled into the breeze. They slowly moved higher and higher. And then she was at the top. She was as high as it could go. She could see the people down below, the lights, she could smell the sent of the fair. And she was free. No fears, no worries in her mind and she smiled.

Soon the ride was over and Sara was beginning to tire. They headed home. (Not before getting a toffee apple each.) Sara sat In the car eating her toffee apple. Her memories of home running through her head. She was going home the day after tomorrow. She'd miss this place. She'd miss Cameron, Daniel and Sam. She'd had such a great time. But there was till one more day left. One last adventure.
