Kaoru's P.O.V.
I walked down the hall on my way to my brother and my room when I heard a whimper from Akira's room as door closed. I walked over wondering what was up. "Akira? Are you in there?" I asked. I heard another whimper as lightning hit. "Are you ok?" I asked as I opened the door. "I-I'm ok! Haha! No problem!" she said as she laughed nervously. Once I closed the door behind me she cried again. I found her under a table with a small flashlight that barely gave off any light. "Is that you Akira?" I asked. "Y-yes. I'm under here K-Kaoru." She replied. I got under with her. "Are you ok?" I asked. "Y-Yep." Then the flashlight died and she screamed and held onto me. "You're scared of the dark. Aren't you." I stated. She just pushed her head deeper into my chest and hugged me tightly. I was about to get out from under the table to take her to the bed when she squeezed me. "P-Please. Don't leave me alone. Not again." She whispered the last part though I still heard. She's afraid because her father left and brother. Her brother probably comforted her but when he left she was alone. "I'm leaving Akira. Now let's get out from under the table. It'll be quick." I said. She looked up, "Promise?" she asked. "I promise. I replied with a smile." She let go so I could get out. When I did I told her to come out. She ran out and hugged me again afraid I'll leave if she lets even a tiny bit go. I walked her to the bed. She stayed there for a bit and cried. I rubbed her back and told her that everything was going to be alright. As she let go a bit feeling better the door began to open causing her to fling back onto me scared. "Akira? Kaoru?" my brother asked. She looked up and right then my brothers jealously got to him as he ran and left the room. Honey and Mori came, along with Kyoya. Kyoya fixed the light and said that he'll leave some light on for her to sleep without being scared. She let go and went to bed. "Thank you for being with me." She said. "No problem, and to help you feel better, tomorrow we can have that date I promised you." I said.
Akira's P.O.V.
"No problem, and to help you feel better, tomorrow we can have that date I promised you." Kaoru said as he smiled. "Ok." I replied as he left with the others. But accepting the offer didn't make me feel right. If I were to go on a date with anyone, I would want to go with Hikaru. Wait, what am I saying?! I can't like Hikaru like that. We're just friends. But, I always get this feeling of butterflies when I'm around him. I'll think about this later.
