Author's note: Okay, I'm back! Uh… yeah. I don't know. This wraps up the Ring Battles. A filler is up next and then we're going into the Future Arc! Let's meet adult Hisoka and Hibari!

I pull my hoodie on before we leave. "Hibari-san, there's something I have to take care of again," I say apologetically. He frowns. "It's the last time. I promise," I reply. He seems to consider this for a while, but he finally nods reluctantly. I smile. "Good luck tonight. Please be careful," I say as I pull on my shoes and then bend down to tie them. I smile at him happily. "Well, I'm heading off." I run off on my own.
I wait at the airport by myself. And wait, and wait, and wait. I look around, but when I spot the person that I'm looking for, I jump up and run over to the scary-looking, but kind man. People are looking at him warily and cowering in fear, but I run straight over to him and greet him happily, "Lancia-tan!"
He looks at me with wide eyes. "H-Hisoka? What are you doing here?" He looks around a bit warily. "Is your brother here?" he asks.
I shake my head. "No, Onii-chan isn't around," I reply. "I was the one who called for you because Onii-chan asked me to."
"Your brother did?" he asks.
I nod. "I think that it has something to do with Tsuna-san. They might be in danger," I explain. "Onii-chan didn't tell me, but I'm sure that it has something to do with that."
"The Vongola, huh?" he replies. I look up at him pleadingly and he pats my head like he used to. My eyes widen a little because I was sure that he didn't like me anymore after what Onii-chan did to him, but it doesn't seem like it. "Lead the way, Hisoka."
I beam at him. "Yeah, okay!"
On the way to Nami Middle, we manage to find another Varia group heading in the same direction. "These guys should be it, I think, Lancia-tan," I tell him quietly. "I'll fence them together with my illusions, and then you can attack."
Lancia nods and pulls out his weapon. I use my illusions and make it look like there are bullets flying at them even though I'm actually just flinging pebbles at them. "Crap! It must be CEDEF!" one of them shouts. They start to group into a more condense pack and I nod at Lancia.
"Violent Snake Domination!" Lancia shouts. I watch as a good number of them get taken out. The remaining guys are pretty good then. I send an illusionary tiger to them and watch as the tiger starts to rake through them.
I frown as we continue to run towards the school. Three of them got away. "Violent Snake Force Domination!" Lancia shouts.
Belphagor and Mammon gasp as Lancia's weapon falls back to the ground with a loud thud. "This is…. The man that Mukuro-sama kept talking to," Chrome says. I don't think so… Is it?
"Hisoka! Why is he…?" Ken starts.
"'Lancia'?" Mammon asks, "Why is that Lancia here?"
Belphagor asks, "What is he?"
Squalo explains, "Known as the strongest man in northern Italy- Lancia, of the Family Murder Incident."
"Is he that strong?" Ken asks.
Chikusa replies, "He is."
"He has no hesitation. He fights of his own will and won't be controlled by another," Reborn says.
"Shishishi. So that's how it is." Belphagor grins and he throws his knives at Tsuna. "Then let's get this over with!"
They get knocked out of the way by Yamamoto. "Hold on, it's not going to work like that."
"Yamamoto!" Tsuna exclaims.
"I didn't think it'd turn out like this," says Mammon. Mammon starts to flee, but Chrome's illusion hits Mammon.
"I won't let you escape," Chrome declares.
Hibari opens up the segment in his tonfas that lets out a flail. "Hey. Let's end this."
"I won't let you go!" Sasagawa says.
I pull out my metal claws. "I may not be a Guardian, but there are some things that I hold dear as well. You're not getting even a step past me."
Gokudera runs up to Tsuna. "Tenth! Are you injured?"
"Thank you. I'm fine," replies Tsuna.
"Then…" Gokudera stands up and holds his dynamite up.
Belphagor drops his knives and raises his hands. "This is no good."
"Boss, looks like this is it," says Mammon. Xanxus seems to be mad.
"Xanxus-sama, we are disqualifying you and taking the Vongola Rings away," one of the Cervello informs him.
Xanxus replies, "Cervello… Just as you wanted. Are you happy the prediction came true?"
"Excuse me, but is neither our wish nor or prediction. It has all been decided already. You completed your function," the Cervello replies. She places a hand on his cheek.
I find myself starting to tear up. "That old coot…" Xanxus mutters. The Ninth?
"Good work, Sir," the Cervello says quietly.
I sniffle and I shed a few tears quietly for Xanxus. "Now, we will end the Ring Conflict and announce the results. Due to Xanxus-sama's disqualification, the winner of the Sky Match is Sawada, Tsunayoshi," announces the Cervello. Everyone looks happy. Even Hibari looks like he's smiling very faintly. "Thus the ones who will become the eventual successors of the Vongola will be Sawada, Tsunayoshi and his seven Guardians."
Tsuna looks really happy. "Everyone…" he whispers. Then he collapses. Everyone gasps.
"Sawada-dono!" Basil shouts.
"Tenth!" exclaims Gokudera.
"Tsuna!" shouts Yamamoto. I smile as Lancia runs up to Tsuna. I continue to shed tears for Xanxus for some reason even as I smile. It was all a planned from the beginning, and even knowing this, he tried to carve his own path and deny the route set up for him.
I walk over to Lancia and tap him on the shoulder. Lancia turns around and his eyes widen as he sees my tears. Before I can say that I'm heading home, he asks, "Why are you crying?"
"I'm crying for the one who knew of the path that was set for him, but tried to defy his fate and carve out his own path anyways," I reply quietly. I smile.
Lancia's expression softens. "You were always like this, Hisoka. Geez… Seriously, you're too empathetic," He pats me on the head. "Come on, don't cry. You know I don't like moments like this," he says. He really doesn't seem to know what to do. I nod. I wipe my tears with the back of my hand. He smiles. "That's a good girl," he praises gently. "You're about to go home right? Be careful."
I nod. "Yeah. You too, Lancia-tan."
"Hisoka," Hibari calls. I run over to him and he looks at my face. "Who made you cry?" he asks seriously.
I shake my head. "It's no one. Well, I guess I made myself cry. I'm the sister of an antagonist, so I feel sadness for the other antagonists too," I explain trough more tears. "Antagonists are just misunderstood." I smile. Isn't that right, Onii-chan? They just don't get it. I wipe the rest of my tears away as I walk home with Hibari.
I walk to Yamamoto's place on Lancia's request. I sneak in without being noticed with the help of my illusions. I smile as I see that everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. I weave through the crowd and find Lancia before taping his back. He looks around and can't find me so, I let the illusion go. His eyes widen, but then he smiles. We go outside together without being noticed. He looks at my oatmeal colored knit dress and red, black, and white plaid trench coat that I paired with my brown knee-high boots. "You're still friends with that designer?" he asks.
I nod. "Of course," I reply.
"You look like you're doing well even though your brother isn't around," Lancia comments. "You've really grown up."
I smile. "It hasn't been that long, Lancia-tan!" I reply. "And… as for Onii-chan…"
"You don't have to force yourself. Sorry," he replies.
"Are you heading back to Northern Italy? I ask.
He nods. "Yeah, all I can do is spend the rest of my life making amends."
"I'm sorry," I say quietly. "I'm really sorry…" I start to tear up. I know that no matter how many times I apologize, it won't fix anything though.
"There's nothing you have to apologize for," Lancia replies. He pats my head.
I shake my head. "No, if I said something, anything at all at the time… Maybe…" I start.
"You didn't know what was going on at the time. Your brother cared enough for you to leave you in the dark like that. He still cares for you that much, I'm sure," Lancia replies. "It's not your fault so, don't worry." Lancia scratches the back of his head in discomfort. "Come on Hisoka, you know I don't like sappy moments. You know I'm not good with these."
I manage to smile at him and I wipe my tears away with the back of my hand. "Yeah, I know, Lancia-tan," I reply. I'll smile for his sake then. I laugh it off. "I'm glad you came to help though. Thank you."
"I don't mind coming to help you, Hisoka. If you ever need help, you can always ask me," he replies. He smiles a little. "That message was cryptic though. It doesn't suit you to send out such cryptic messages," Lancia says.
I smile. "It wasn't really my will to bring you here. It was Onii-chan's, so I made sure to send the message in his style in his place," I explain.
He smiles at me fondly. "That's just like you."
"Lancia-tan, don't ever forget that if you need anything at all, I'll use everything to my disposal to help you," I say. Yeah, I definitely will.
"You don't have to do that."
I shake my head. "I know that I don't, but I want to," I reply. "I want to help you. So, please, if you need me help for anything, ask me. Please?" You're someone that I hold dear to me too, Lancia-tan.
"Alright," he replies. He pats my head again. He probably won't ever ask, but even if he doesn't, if I find a way to help, I will. "Go home now okay? Be careful," he says.
I nod. "Okay." I smile and wave at him before heading off. I can't change what has already happened, but I'll do everything I can to make amends. That's my job.
