Miriam1: Yes, it seems everyone is in trouble. Plasmius has no idea the power contained in the Book of Desires and the coming chapters will be quite a head turner and will seem confusing but just remember looks are deceiving. The whole scene with Dantea is serious and in a future fic it will play a major role, but Vlad's tampering in magic isn't the cause but it's not helping either. You'll learn what Kong Li is up to soon. If life was simple there would be no story and yes I am aware that Danielle might not recover from the trauma.

Yin7: Yes, Annalise is a person you would not want to cross paths with.

Smallvillegirl2: I can imagine that can be difficult. Don't you just hate that no good fruit loop Plasmius and that junior fruit loop of Annalise.

Chapter XX: Interrogation

Sam

"Can I please quit now?" Tucker asked as he fell on the ground exhausted running laps as X smiled at him looking at his watch.

"Very well, Foley, take 5," he said as I walked over and helped Tucker up, "You're doing better pretty soon we can move on to the next part of the program," the older Racer brother as Tucker fainted.

While I was dragging him back inside Lucy and Connor came racing towards, "X, Sam, we have bad news," Lucy said out as they slowed down in front of me.

"What happened?" I asked worriedly as X walks up to us with a concerned look.

"Maybe it's best if we show you," Lucy said as we walked back into Academy and headed for the computer labs.

"Now what is wrong," X said as we sat down at computer as Connor logged onto the school's electronic bulletin board. He clicked on a recent entry and a picture of the scars left by Vlad's tentacles on Danielle appeared with the following text below it:

Speed Racer abuses sister of Danny Phantom.

"That is untrue, she's had those scars long before she came here," I said enraged that anyone would spread such lies. "Does Speed know about it?" I asked as Connor looked up from the screen.

"He's the one who discovered it, he's going to see who's behind, we think we know though," he said as I knew the culprit a certain redhead.

X opened his mouth to say something but the video screen flickered on showing Headmaster's Spritle's image, "Would Speed Racer, please report to my office, thank you," he said as the screen went black and we collectively swallowed knowing that our friend was in trouble.

Nana

I frowned as the girl became paler, I had no doubt that Kong Li and his pet serpent was behind it. When he was an apprentice he would use that snake to kill those who displeased him and was almost caught several times. "Where is that antivenom," I shouted down the stairs as Sid and Sue came racing into the room.

"How's she doing Nana?" Sue asked handing me the bottle, "how did this happen, I mean she was alone in here," she asked as I shook my head.

"Kong Li sent his pet snake, Mó Guó Wá, from the looks of the wounds he extracted some of her blood," I said examining the wound taking the bottle, "what is taking Tobey so long," I said looking out into the hall impatiently know Danielle did not have much time left.

Vlad

"You should have listened to me," I told Daniel as I slung him over my shoulders and returned to the dungeon. Soon I would read from the book and obtain what has eluded me for so long. "Don't worry my boy you won't die, yet," I told the younger Halfa as I walked over to the wall and chained him.

Once the boy was secure, I approached the table that I had placed my prize on it. I could feel the power radiate from it calling to me but I wanted the timing to be perfect but I was soon snapped out of my reverie by the girl.

"You know father won't let you get away with this, he'll put you on the strappado or worse," she threatened as I massaged my temples. These brats were as annoying as Daniel's allies.

"Really," I said raising my hand, "praefoco," I said as a tendril wrapped around her mouth and noise, "do you have any other threats?" I ask her as she shakes her head. "Good," I said returning to my book when I sensed something. "Now what," I said casting a vision spell and saw the father and uncle coming my way. "Soon it will be time," I said laughing to myself looking back at the unconscious ghost boy.

Gomez Addams

"You ready Fester," I said waving my Espada Ropeda in the air eager to face off this fiend. He would pay for harming my kids dearly. I was a master of swordplay and no one could defeat me. It had been years since I had faced anyone in serious combat and thought of doing so again made me giddy.

"Are you sure about this, this kidnapper could have firearms," he said clutching his mace/flail in his hands nervously. "We'd be no match for him," he told me as I scratched my chin in thought.

He was right, swords and melee weapons are no match for guns and I was not ready to die in battle (I imagine my end to be a spectacular one, fighting lions and other creatures as a Roman gladiator). "Let's get Cousin Itt he's knows how to use a blunderbuss," I said as we into the dining room where he was sitting.

While we were walking in the hall Fester stopped and put his ear to the ground. I go to ask him what he is doing but he silences me, "I hear someone laughing," he said getting up, "we better hurry," he told me as we raced to get Cousin Itt.

Tobey

"But Mr. Wu, I need to use the stove," I told him as pointing to the sewing needle in my hand. I was close to completing my task when I was ambushed by Mr. Wu who wanted me to mop the floor.

"You can deal with your splinter later, now you mop up this spilt sauce," he said handing a mop and I start to clean as he left the room.

"Clean This! Do That!" I said mocking him in my best Mr. Wu voice cleaning up the floor, "doesn't he know this is a matter of life or death," I said sighing as I heard someone coming down the steps.

"Tobey what are you doing playing around, Nana is waiting for you," I heard Sue said as she came down and entered the kitchen, "Danielle doesn't have much time," she said frowning at me.

"Tell that Mr. Wu," he said as he grabbed my hand dragged me up the steps and entered the room where everyone was waiting.

"Tobey, do you have the needle," Nana asked as she saw me walk. I could tell she was not happy about me being late, but she'll have to take that up with her son.

"yeah, but I didn't have time to heat it up," I told her as I took it out of my pocket and gave it to her.

She sighed and went over to the table by the cot and took out a plain white candle and a book of matches, "now to light it," she said striking a match and place it by the wick causing a flame to appear. She then took the needle and placed in the flame taking out only when it was the red at the tip.

She then went over to the girl and stuck the hot needle into one of the puncture wounds causing me to wince at the sight.

"Uhhh," the girl moaned in response to the stimulus as Nana then took the needle out cleaned it and ran it over the flame again to sanitize it. Once it cooled off again, she reheated and placed it in the other wound causing the girl to let out a moan.

"Now hand me the antivenom," she said cleaning it off and sanitizing it again. Sue handed her the bottle. "Thank you," Nana said as she opened and tipped the needle into the liquid before placing it inside the wound again and leaving it in for a few minutes before taking it out and repeating the process. "Now to seal the wound," she said taking the candle and running over the wounds briefly.

"Will she be okay," Sid asked as Nana picked up the girl and laid her on the cot again wrapping her in a blanket for warmth.

"She will now, we better go downstairs so she can rest," she said as we headed down the steps. I just hope Mr. Wu doesn't find out I walked out on the cleaning job he wanted me to do.

Speed Racer

I hung my head low as I walked along the halls to Headmaster Spritle's office. I knew what he wanted to see me about- the 'report' that I have abused and hurt Danielle. I noticed that the other students were giving me dirty looks thinking me a bully and someone takes pleasure in hurting me.

"Being Speed Racer's son won't save you this time," Jesse said as he walked past me pushing me to the ground.

I said nothing as I picked myself up and continued down the hall until I arrived at Spritle's office and knocked on the door.

"Yes," Spritle's voice asked from the other side. My heart stopped and I opened my mouth but no words would come out. "Who is it?" his voice asked again getting slightly impatient.

"It…'s…Sp…peed, y…ou said you w…wanted to see me," I said as he told me to enter the room. I slowly reached for the knob my hand trembling as I turn it and push the door open.

"Thank you for coming Speed," Headmaster says as motions for me to come in and be seated. "Do you know why you're here?" he asks me seriously.

"I have an idea," I said averting my gaze from him lest I invoke his wrath.

"You know I take the safety of my students seriously, I ensure parents that their children are safe from harm here," he says as I nod. "You understand than why I was shocked when I read this on the bulletin board," he said calling up the site and swinging the monitor my way.

I winced as he showed me the pictures of the wounds on her arms, they looked a squid had a attacked her. There were also scars from what looked like serious burns from being electrocution and chemicals. It made me sick that someone could do this to someone as nice as Danielle.

"The picture speaks for itself, I need not read you the story," he said taking the picture away from me. "However, I am fair and this is your chance to defend yourself," he said as I took a deep breath and lifting my head trying to think of what to say.

"Sir, Danielle is a friend of mine since the day she and her brother enrolled here. I care for her as a friend and would never dream of laying hand on her let alone torture her like whoever did this," I said looking him in the eye trying to remain collected.

"I see," he said scratching his chin, "Now, I'll tell you something," he said placing his hands on the desk, "when I saw you walk in I noticed your expression and it was more of one who was innocent and framed than someone who had committed a crime and now I know your innocent," he said as I felt a weight be lifted from my shoulders. "I'll do everything in my power to find out who wrote this lie," he said as he dismissed.

"So would I," I told myself as I left to tell my friends what happened.
