That night was probably the roughest night for Serena. She had gone home after the party was wrapped up, with Ellie and Rachel spending the night with her. Orion could not let them stay because his grandfather had a strict rule of him having the girls over, so Serena decided to go home and sleep off the battle that had occurred.
But when Rachel was tucked into bed, Serena decided that sleep wasn't the answer.
"Ellie, tell me who Ashley really is… Please." Serena begged her best friend.
Serena woke up Ellie right before midnight, and right now they were sitting on the floor. Ellie, for once, looked serious with her arms crossed her eyes glaring in concentration, and her mouth twisted into a straight line. Her red hair was messed up and some strands were stuck to her face with drool. But Serena looked sad with her hair still well-groomed, her fearful eyes looking at her best friend and she shook a little.
Ellie took a deep breath in and out as she said slowly, "Winona showed you the past which mean you saw Phoebe as well."
Serena nodded her head quickly. Ellie closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and began her story.
"When I was Princess Sol, I had a Scout picked out from a noble family. It wasn't any different than what the rest of you did, but my problem was a peculiar one because the Scout I picked out had a twin sister named Phoebe. Sun's originally name was Apolla and even though she ultimately became my Scout… She and her sister share the same Star Seed. But the reason I picked Apolla is because her Star Seed was pure and innocent, and she was in fact a wonderful girl herself. On the other hand, Phoebe's Star Seed was filled with dark energy and she was a jealous, manipulative girl that instantly pitched a fit just because I ended up picking her sister."
Even though this wasn't shocking news, it started to piece together the puzzle pieces for Serena. Even though she was quiet, but her mind was not there as she was distracted by the visions of the past.
"Well, after I picked Apolla and she became Sun, we spent a few days at the Moon before Phoebe came and destroyed everything. She manipulated Beryl into killing us, she killed her own sister to gain the full power of the Sun Star Seed, and made sure Princess Serenity was pushed to the edge of death by making her watch all of her friends and her lover die. That is when Princess Serenity took the sword that belonged to Perseus, who we now know as Orion, and killed herself."
A storm began shaking room was quiet as the story began to take a chilling turn. But as even Ellie had fear in her eyes, Serena tried to stand tall as best as she could without breaking down again.
"Fast forward a few thousand years and here I am as a six-year-old first grader. That is when I met another set of twins named Cleo and Ashley. I became friends with Cleo because every time I tried to talk to Ashley, she would tell me to go away or make fun of me. So I stopped trying to make friends with her and hanged around Cleo. Well, their mom died shortly after I realized I was Neo Sun, so that kind of ruined my friendship with Cleo because she now had to work to help out her dad. Then they moved back to London and I got the news that Cleo died shortly after her 12th birthday."
At this point, the blonde teenager was so wrapped in the story, and the redhead was so determined to tell the story that either of them noticed the bright glare from outside.
"Turns out, Cleo died from carbon monoxide poisoning. She was asleep one night and someone took her out of her bed, brought her into the garage, turned on the car, and left everything closed as she died in her sleep. And you know who the real killer is? It was Ashley. She was the only one with keys to her own car and the only one with Cleo that night as the rest of the house was locked up tight. But little Miss Ashley had to lie and say that her sister was suicidal from some time and that she decided to kill herself while Ashley was asleep."
Both of them stood still and were quiet as one question was left remaining.
"And you are wondering who I know it was Ashley or why she did it. Well, I know it was her because the Soldiers and the Scouts have a connection; if one of us dies, the other will know it. I knew that moment when Cleo stopped breathing that she was murdered, so I did some investigation and every clue I come across, it points back to Ashley. Especially the fact that I can feel her Star Seed doubling in power, as if she had taken her sister's. As for why she did it or how could she be so evil to do that, don't ask me because I do not know."
Finally, Serena felt her arms shaking as she felt hot tears run down her face. That means that everything she saw from the past really did happen, and that it will most likely happen again if they don't stop Ashley soon.
She finally caught her breath as Ellie stood up and still had her unusually serious expression on her face. Serena got up as well, but thousand questions still ran through her mind as she looked at Ellie's body outline through the moonlight.
"Ellie, why did she do that? Why is she so evil?"
The redhead sighed. "Serena, not everyone has a completely pure soul, which is true. But some people are born the blackest of souls that there is no way for even the smallest amount of good can change them. That is what I assumed with Ashley because who else will kill their own sister and try to hunt down innocent girls just because they are powerful? As for why she did it, I believe that she is purely power-hungry and ridded with evil."
Serena nodded her head as if she understood completely; but she didn't at all. She didn't understand how someone could be so evil and be so determined to kill anyone that stood in her way in her path for power. But she had to pretend she did for the moment.
Ellie let out a breath she did not know she was holding, and her expression soften. She touched her friend's shoulder and smiled warmly at Serena's sadden expression.
"Serena, I know this is all hard to take in, but you have to understand that I do not want this as much as you do. But for the past five years, I have become used to this kind of information. Yet… it sucks that my own scout that I handpicked continues to be killed by her sister in gruesome ways." Ellie said softly so she would not hurt Serena's feelings or wake Rachel.
The blonde girl continued to nod her head numbly.
The room began silent again… right until there was a huge explosion outside that somehow only Ellie, Serena, the moon cats, and the now-awake Rachel heard.
All three girls and the three cats looked outside to find a small crater was created outside. Smoke and a bright light came from out the crater, but nobody in the neighbor or even in the Tuskino house seem to have heard it. The crater was right below Serena's window, so Ellie's face switched from a serious look to a mischievous look.
Ellie opened Serena's window and jumped right outside. The blonde princess quickly followed just so she can keep her friend from getting it trouble, and Luna and Artemis reluctantly followed as Rachel and Diana watched from the window.
"Ellie, wait up!" Serena cried out.
But the redhead didn't listen as she ran to the crater and looked down into it. Her smile became wider as she screamed, "Serena, look at this! IT IS AWESOME!"
Luna sighed as she called back, "Eleanor, keep your voice down! Who knows what could be in that crater?!"
"Well, it is freaking girl who is asleep so I don't think she is going to claw my eyes out right now!"
Luna sighed as she, Artemis, and Serena came up to the crater. But as they did, the girl Ellie was talking about was now awake and standing up, which caused Ellie to step back.
"Okay, maybe she will claw my eyes out…" Ellie stated as she hid behind Serena in fear.
The woman was no more than twenty-five, standing over at 6'1'' with a slender, rounded figure that included long legs and arms. Her heart-shaped face held a warm, compassionate look as her full lips showed off both her perfect white teeth and dimples. Despite the warm look and smile, her facial features were sharp with high and prominent cheekbones, delicate eyebrow that were a reddish-brown and straight, a thin and straight nose, and a slim jawline. Her large eyes were a bright shade of chocolate brown. She had very pale complexion with pink cheeks and lips. Her hair had a widow's peak and was long and curly, falling down in ringlets pass her waist; but the most unusual thing about her hair was that it was a rich gold shade, but it faded into a bright fiery red color towards the end.
She wore a sleeveless strapless form-fitting flowing white dress. The bodice was empire and the neckline was v-shaped that dipped slightly between the breasts, solid gold swirls decorate the neckline and tiny solid gold pearls decorate the bodice. A solid gold pearl and feather belt wrapped around her hips as the dress' skirt flowed down in a wave and pooled slightly around her bare feet. She wore solid gold bands wrapped around her upper arms and flowing white sleeves flowed down that stopped at her wrists and flowing cuffs edged with gold hang down slightly brushing the floor.
"Who the hell is that?!" Ellie screamed.
Serena blinked as she walked up to the woman. There seem to be a force that was pulling Serena towards this woman; there was something about this woman, as if she was broken and beaten up but she still had a strong sense of hope dwelling inside of her.
"Who are you?" Serena said in a dreamy tone.
The woman blinked innocently as her gown was being tugged on. Serena looked down to see a child, looking from behind the gown and at Serena with big eyes.
It was a small girl with the appearance of a toddler, and she was no more than one or two. She has dark pink hair that is tied into two heart-shaped odangos and blue eyes. She wears a white, long-sleeved shirt with a dark pink bow with a light pink heart brooch at its center, a blue skirt with a blue back bow, white socks, white shoes with pink hearts and accents, and pink heart earrings.
Serena held her breath as she gasped again, "Who are who?"
The woman touched her chest lightly as she gestured with her other hand to the child. "This is Chibi-Chibi. And I am Galaxia."
