The honey sweet taste of Warlow's blood filled Sookie's mouth. She felt her mind spin as she swallowed and the usual high feeling consumed her. For the last twenty-four hours that Sookie had been home,That was actually getting the quality time with Warlow that she craved... that he craved. Even with everything that was going on...the two sinkholes that took out the highway, and the third that hit Shreveport, Sookie had agreed to stay out of it until Warlow was only it wasn't nature. Sookie didn't mind, it was obvious that they needed the time together. She was surprised that they were getting the time alone with Warlow without any interruptions. I was almost too good be true. A moan escaped Sookie's lips as Warlow's fangs punctured her throat and her blood flowed into his mouth. She closed her eyes and lost herself in the warmth of Warlow's embrace. There was nothing in the world that could take away the moment. She could only hope that it would last.
Jason was up to his neck in shit he wasn't ready to handle. The Bon Temps Sheriff's department and the Shreveport Sheriff's department were working together to get to the bottom of what was going on with the sinkholes. Especially the strange third sinkhole that formed in the middle of the night, and the even stranger way it had taken out just a small community. Nothing else, just one pacific area along with everyone and everything that lived there. Jason kept by Andy, trying to think about what had caused all of this to happen.
"Fuck! Stackhouse, we need to get that fox girl here to see what's going on here," Andy said under his breath, so that the other officers didn't hear.
"How the Hell am I supposed to do that?" Jason frowned. "I have no idea how to get ahold of her."
"Can't you get your sister to find a way?" Andy suggested.
"Is that really the way you want to go?" Jason's fown grew. He knew that Sookie and Warlow needed some time to be with each other. There had to be another way to track down Sora.
"You bet your ass that's what I want," Andy glared at him.
"I think I can come up with something else," Jason sighed as he pulled out his phone. He took a deep breath as he dialed Sam's number. It went to voice mail after ringing several times. Jason redialed immediately and waited as it rang.
"There better be a good reason why you're calling me," Sam said sleepily as he answered his phone.
"Can you get ahold of Alcide for us and have him send Sora over here at the newest sinkhole to check it out?" Jason said quickly.
"That's all you want?" Sam sounded aggrivated. "You call me at four in the morning, to ask me to do you a favor?"
"Yeah, pretty much," Jason sighed.
"I'll see what I can do," Sam breathed out. "That's about all I can do for you."
"Thanks, Sam," Jason said.
"Yep," Sam yawned sleepily as he hung up.
Jason placed his phone back into his pocket and looked at Andy, "Hopefully Sam can help out."
"That Alcide guy is your sister's friend, why don't you have his number?" Andy asked.
Jason shrugged, "I never thought to ask."
Andy shook his head, "Of course you didn't."
"You know that there's a chance she won't be able to tell," Jason said in almost a whisper.
"Well then, we'll think of something to do when that time comes," Andy sighed.
It was a bit awkward for Sora to meet someone-even someone she knew-through two other people, but she had agreed to meet with Jason and Sheriff Andy to check out the sinkhole for them. The moment Alcide pulled up to the place where she had to meet Jason and Andy, her werewolf friend became extremely edgy.
"What the fuck happened here?" Alcide frowned.
"Weren't you the one who talked to the Shifter?" Sora looked out the window at the wreckage.
"I didn't realize that an entire werewolf pack was whiped out," Alcide sighed. "I was Packmaster of this pack once."
Guilt filled Sora instantly. She hadn't realized that Alcide knew these people...she didn't think that Alcide had ever been part of a pack...let alone a packmaster of an entire pack. If there was anything that she could do to help with the whole situation, then she would do anything within her limitless power allowed. Sora opened the door and hopped out.
"Thank God you're here!" Jason rushed towards Sora.
Sora backed up a bit, "What do you need me to do?"
"Just see if you can tell what's caused this to happen," Andy didn't look at her. Sora guessed it had something to do with the fact that she had almost drained his daughter of her Light when she had thought she was just playing around.
Sora nodded and moved towards the large, unusually perfect, sinkhole. A huge wave of uneasiness pushed over her as she got closer to it. It made her stomach turn in a nasty way. Her breath caught in her throat, and she backed away, horrified by what she was getting. She could only imagine what she looked like to Alcide, Jason, and Andy-an ancient and powerful Kitsune afraid...
"What is it?" Jason placed a hand on Sora's shoulder.
"There's something in this area that did this," Sora breathed out. Whatever it was, Sora could tell that it was just as powerful as she was...maybe even more. That's what scared the shit out of her.
"What the fuck does that mean?" Andy demanded angrily.
"It means that there's a supernatural creature out there that is powerful enough to do this," Sora sighed.
"How do we stop it?" Jason asked.
"You can't," Sora said bluntly. "You'd have better luck finding a moonstone before beating whatever did this."
Sora moved farther away from the police officers and the lights, she needed to figure out what was causing the sinkholes and stop it before it did any more damage than it already had. Once she got farther away from the commotion, Sora transformed into her white fox form and rushed off into the night. She knew that she was only leaving Alcide, Jason, and Andy with more questions than answers, but she needed to discover what was the cause of everything.
Willa leaned back in Pam's throne at Fangtasia and frowned at her Sister. Eric had left them again, but this time, Pam was there with her. Not that it really mattered, Pam wasn't her Maker, and that was what Willa wanted and needed more than anything. Tara had heard from Aurora and knew that Warlow and Sookie were spending time togetheralone, ananshe couldn't blame them. From what Willa understood, Aurora was spending time getting to know Jess. Pam was looking online for houses for sale in Bon Temps that were close to the Nest. Willa figured it was Pam's way of trying to make it up to Tara as a Maker. If only it was Eric... at least Willa had Tara, she'd feel completely alone if Tara wasn't with her. She would have to resort to spending time with Jessica and Aurora.
"What is it?" Tara asked Pam suddenly, causing Willa to pop her head up.
"I can't find shit right now," Pam slammed Willa's desktop closed, making the baby vamp cringe. It may not have been much to Pam, but Willa had just bought the desktop, and it made her worry that Pam would break it.
"WhWhdon't you ask that man who sold Bellefluer's to Arlene?" Willa offered.
Pam snorted, "You've got to be fucking joking. You want me to ask a Shifter if I can buy a house from him?"
Willa nodded, "Yeah."
Pam shook her head, "That doesn't sound like a good idea to me."
"WhWhnot? Sam Merlotte does own a good part of Bon Temps," Tara said. "I'm sure that you'd be able to at least rent a place from him."
"I said that asking a Shifter doesn't sound good to me," Pam growled out.
TaTarshifted a bit, but stood her ground. Willa didn't care much for the tension that was brewing between Tara and Pam, she pretended to look at her watch and moved uncomfortably, "Tara..."
"Hold on a moment, Willa," Tara breathed out impatiently. "Pam needs to understand that there's no room for her to be picky. She can't stay here for too long, and Jason will want his house back, sooner or later."
"Fuck off," Pam blew on her lilac colored nails. "There's no way I'm begging a Shifter for anything. Jason owes Eric for saving his ass, so we're going to let him do that."
"Tara, I'm going to cover-" Willa started.
"What are you going to do?" Tara demanded of Pam.
"Don't fucking worry about that," Pam snapped back.
Before Willa could hear any more of their bickering, she used her vampire speed to rush out of Fangtasia and into the night. She didn't know if Tara or Pam even noticed that Willa had left. She wasn't stupid, and as much as Willa knew that Tara loved her, she also knew that she was nothing compared to Pam. Just like to Pam, Tara was nothing compared to Eric. It was a horrible cycle, and Willa needed to get away before she became jealous of her lover and her Sister. So there was only one place she knew that she could go. Jessica's. She didn't want to get in the way of Sookie and Warlow's alone time. The only hope she had was that Jessica was the sweet, partying vampire that she had met in the Death Camp.
Tyler leaned back as he exhaled the hit he had taken, and he passed the blunt over to Lafayette. He was trying his hardest to keep Aurora's mind off of Amelia. Not that it worked any with him at Lafayette's and Aurora at vampire Bill's. The deal was that he was going to wake-and-bake with Lafayette, go to work, then head over to Bill and Jessica's to pick up Aurora to "hang out". Technically, it was a date, but Aurora wasn't calling it that, especially after Tyler had asked her out on a real date. And not out to Fangtasia either. His plan was a movie, a romantic walk through town, and possibly a kiss at the end of the night. He was sure that Aurora liked him way more than just a friend, she was just a shy vampire and probably wouldn't admit that to Tyler anytime soon.
"So, Honey Child, how are things with your girlfriend?" Lafayette leaned back and blew out smoke.
"Technically, Aurora's not my girlfriend," Tyler sighed.
"Not yet, motherfucker," Lafayette grinned at Tyler. "It's crystal clear that Aurora has a thing for you. Didn't she trick her Maker just for you?"
"I never asked her to," Tyler shifted in his seat.
"That's my point, Biatch," Lafayette winked at him.
"So Amelia ran off because of me," Tyler frowned as he took another hit off the blunt.
"No, that bitch ran off because of Eric-fucking-Northman," Lafayette stated, making Tyler wish that Lafayette didn't know all this shit. "I'm sure that she'll come back, kick Eric's ass around a bit, and then she'll be fine with you."
"Are you sure?" Tyler's frown grew.
"No, I'm not sure. For all I know, Amelia could hold a grudge against you forever," Lafayette shrugged.
"Aurora's sure that Amelia won't," Tyler told Lafayette.
"Then there you go," Lafayette sighed. "Why even worry about something like that? It's not like you're the one who's trying to date Amelia."
"But I'm trying to date her...'Progeny'," Tyler tried.
"So what?" Lafayette stretched a bit. "Amelia's a good vampire...She's not as bad as you're thinking. She's one of the better vampires in this fucked-up world we live in."
"That doesn't mean that she'll be all buddy-buddy with me when she gets back," Tyler stood and grabbed his apron for work.
"It means that Eric will be on her shit-list before she ever turns her attention towards you," Lafayette shook his head. "Come over after I get off work, Honey Child. We'll get higher than clouds."
Tyler nodded, "Wooka! Sounds good. Peace be the journey, man."
The Beast saw Her! It could hardly believe it's eyes, but the Beast knew for a fact that it was Her. It could barely remember the last time it had seen Her, they parted on horrible terms just because of all of their differences. She was playing around with the lower species of Bon Temps, acting as though they were Her equals. The Beast knew Her true nature, and with it there, She would go back to Her natural state. At least that's what the Beast wanted. She was residing in Bon Temps, calling it "home". For thousands of years, it had given up completely on even thinking about Her, but sure enough, She was right there, right in the Beast's designated area-the two towns, Bon Temps and Shreveport. She probably had no idea that the Beast had finally found her. The Beast didn't see any reason to alert her of it's presence in the area, it had big plans for Bon Temps and Shreveport, and the longer it took for Her to realize it was there, the more fun it could have playing with the younger popuoation of the two towns...and of course, the Beast couldn't leave out playing with those who held influence in its' territory.
"We'll play soon enough," the Beast promised Her. "Soon enough."
Lafayette kicked his legs up as he took a large puff off of his blunt. Sam and Tyler were sitting in his living room, brainstorming things that would help Sam in his run for Bon Temps' Mayor. Lafayette really couldn't see why they needed to do that, Sam had done so much for Bon Temps already, and Arlene was ready to ban anyone who doesn't vote for Sam from Bellefluer's forever.
"I don't see why you bitches can't do this else where," Lafayette pulled out a fan. "You two have a bit to figure it out."
"It's so I'm ready, Lafayette," Sam sighed.
"Whatever hooka," Lafayette waved his hand. "You's the only bitch running to be Mayor."
"Anyone can run," Tyler pointed out. "We're just making sure that Sam's ready for anything."
"Well, shit," Lafayette breathed out, "anything I can do to help out?"
"Just give me your vote," Sam replied.
That wasn't what Lafayette had meant, and he knew for a fact that Sam and Tyler both knew that. Sure, it bothered Lafayette that he was being left out of his friend's run for Mayor, but he really wasn't into this kind of shit. Sam probably knew that already from working with Lafayette for so long. Tyler was great help to Sam's cause, at least he seemed interested in helping out Sam. Lafayette supported Sam completely, it was just he had more on his mind than helping Sam become the Mayor of Bon Temps. He knew that most of the community was all up for Sam becoming Mayor, at least that was how it seemed to Lafayette. Elections couldn't come soon enough in his eyes.
"You are voting for Sam, right?" Tyler asked.
Lafayette had half a mind to bitchslap Tyler in that instant, but he ignored the impulse to do so. He just gawked at the pothead as though he had said the stupidest shit Lafayette had ever heard, "Sam employed me for years, but fuck no, I'm not voting for his ass."
"Only asking, no need to be bitchy towards me," Tyler smirked.
Lafayette waved his fan over the blunt, "You's see this? Well, you don't get any."
Tyler only grinned at Lafayette, "Fine with me, I'm meeting up with Aurora at Bill and Jessica's."
"Now is this the part you tell my fine ass that she's your drug?" Lafayette smirked.
"Yep," Tyler nodded. "But she also enjoys the smell of burning marijuana."
"She probably smoked it herself when she was human," Lafayette winked at Tyler.
"I believe she ate it," Tyler chuckled as he stood. He waved at Lafayette and Sam as he headed for the door, "Peace be the journey guys, I'm off for an adventure."
The moment Tyler was out the door, Sam looked at Lafayette, "He's a strange one, isn't he?"
"Says the Shifter," Lafayette pointed out.
Sam laughed a bit, "I'm just surprised at how into the community he is."
"You should hear him when he's in the kitchen. It's songs and a bunch of 'wookas' from him," Lafayette fanned himself.
Sam burst out in laughter fully, "That would be something Arlene should charge to watch."
Lafayette nodded, but he enoyed the atmosphere that Tyler's energy created in the kitchen at Bellefluer's. Sure, he was strange at times, and he could smoke a lot of pot in one sitting, but Lafayette truly counted Tyler among his small handful of friends. Especially after the whole thing with Amelia thinking he was some kind of dangerous Supernatural. It was strange, trying not to bring up or think about Amelia, Lafayette kind of missed her running around Bon Temps being herself...except when she was running around with Eric Northman-thankfully that part of her life was over. Sam had no idea that Amelia was out releasing her anger in a way that Lafayette prayed brought her home soon. Just like Sam had no idea that an ancient Kitsune resided in Bon Temps. None of that was in Lafayette's right to say, so he kept his mouth shut, glad that Sam wasn't a fairy.
Jess was overjoyed with the fact that other vampires-girl vampires-were at her house to hang out with her. Aurora, Willa, and Tara-who showed up two hours after Willa had, and for the first time in a while, Jess felt like a real girl. Bill was in his office, working on his book, and James was just chilling with Aurora's friend, Tyler, leaving the four vampirestime totogetherJess didn't mind having any of the vampires to herself, three out of four of them were still considered "baby vamps", Aurora was literally the eldest of the vampires in the house. For some reason, they all ended up talking about sex, which caused them all to grow into a fit of laughter. That was until a knock on the door pulled Jess back to reality, and she was forced to go answer it.
The second Jess opened the door, she instantly regretted it. She tried to close the door immediately, "Shit!"
Violet stopped the door with her foot before it could close all the way, "I'm not here to fight with you, or even talk to you about Jason. I'm-"
"Then why the fuck are you even here?" Jess demanded bitterly.
Violet shrugged, "Jason is working overtime, Sookie and Warlow are...being intimate with each other, and my friends are all over here."
"Here I thought you were too good for the company of baby vampires," Jess couldn't stop the cold tone that was in her voice.
"What made you think that? My boyfriend is human," Violet pointed out. "I only came over here to...make peace."
"Why is it that I don't believe you?" Jess narrowed her eyes at Violet.
For a moment, Jess thought that Violet was going to hit her, "I'm lonely right now, I promised Jason that I would only feed on him, and I figured that now would be a great time to settle our differences between us girls."
Jess' eyes narrowed even more at Violet, she wasn't completely sure if the much older vampire was being serious, but from what Jess had heard about Violet, it was that she rarely-if never-joked around. She was completely different from Jason, but Jess had heard from Willa that Violet and Jason were good for each other. She crossed her arms across her chest and glared at Violet, "Why should I go for that? You've been nothing but a bitch towards me since the Death Camp."
"That's because I was angry that you tossed aside Jason like a used toy," Violet replied quickly. "I never really stopped to think about the whole thing. If you never abandoned Jason, he never would have became Mine."
If this was Violet's way of apologizing, then she was doing a piss-poor job of it. Jess didn't really want to forgive Violet, but she understood where she was coming from. Mrs. Fortonberry still hated both Jess and Jason for Hoyte leaving Bon Temps, and rightfully so. But the more Jess thought about her reasons for hating Violet, the more childish it all seemed. Jason was Jess' friend, that was it, and if she wanted back into Jason Stackhouse's life, she would have to try to work out her differences with Violet, just as the older vampire was trying to do now. Jess took a deep calming breath and opened the door the rest of the way.
"Just don't start any trouble," Jess warned.
"Like I said, I'm only here to talk," Violet smiled as she walked into Jess' home.
I'm still building up to season seven with this story. Not quite sure what I'm going to do once I reach that point. I'm sorry that the last chapter took so long getting out. Blame it on a bad breakup and something got broken...but now I'm writing again! A very special thanks to those who favorited/followed/reviewed. Please give feedback on what you think and what you hope for future chapters. Hope you all enjoyed, I'll hopefully get the next chapter typed up and posted soon (I'm writing on a tablet so bare with me)
