~Jinx's P.O.V~

About a year has passed since I found my way to the sand village. Still no sign of Katt. Laila is still in the Leaf Village, she has trained to the point of being a Jonin. Dac, well, I haven't heard from him lately. Laila says that he's just kinda shady and quiet. Kiba has been looking for Katt. He has visited me too, to see if I've heard anything. Sometimes I will just disappear for at least a week, looking for her. Gaara tells me not to go alone, but I don't listen. Gaara is just worried that I'll get hurt. A knock at the door to my room snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Come in." I called. The door opened, and it was Temari. I had become friends with her and Kankuro.

"Hey Jinx. I was just with Gaara, and thought I would stop by to say hi." She walked over, and sat beside me where I was sitting on my bed.

"Oh, how is Gaara?" I asked. I hadn't seen him since this morning.

"He won't stop talking about you."Temari laughed.

"Well that's not surprising." I smiled.

"Yea. Why don't you two just go out, or something already?" She asked me.

"Well... I need to focus on finding Katt... I can't afford to get distracted.. I need to know if she's okay..." I sighed.

"Well, I'm sure she'll show up. She can't be lost forever, can she?"

"No, I suppose she'll find a way back." I sighed. "I'm gonna go talk to Gaara, okay? See you later Temari." I got up, and headed over to where Gaara would probably be.

~Katt's P.O.V.~

I sat in my room, waiting for my orders for the next assassination mission. Well, maybe it's an assassination mission, or maybe I'll have to capture someone. Either way, I must obey my orders. I'm wearing tight black ninja type clothes. I have a mask covering my bottom half of my face, covering my nose. My hair is long, and put up in a pony tail. My bangs cover my left eye. I keep that eye covered. The leader of this organization had given me a gift for that eye. I prefer to keep it hidden, unless I need it. I have on a piece of jewelry. It starts out as a bracelet, and breaks off to rings on each of my fingers. The part that breaks off, keep in mine that it's all connected, looks like bones that would be in a hand. Each ring has a different coloured symbol on it. Each has its own meaning, but I haven't been bothered to learn the meanings. This piece of jewelry sits on my right hand. I have learnt many jutsus, and obtained skills with various different weapons. I have hidden blades on me. I am especially good with duel blades.

The door to my room opened, and in came Itachi.

"You are going on a mission. A capture mission with Deidara and Sasori. Here's a picture of your target." Itachi walked over to me, and handed over a picture of a red haired male. He had green eyes, and some sort of a tattoo above one of his eyes.

"His name?" I asked looking up.

"Gaara." Itachi sat next to me. "Be careful, Katt, he has powers to control sand, so be alert." He breathed on the side of my head.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine." I moved my arm to give him a one armed hug. He returned it with wrapping me in his arms.

"Good luck." He let me go.

Here we were, standing before the sand village. I didn't care much for any of the pointless things that were said. All I cared about was the mission. My role in this was to keep any threats away, so that Deidara can easily capture his target. I managed to sneak my way in unnoticed. I lurk in the dark, killing any who notice me, or may disrupt the mission. My kills are swift, silent. Usually a slash to the throat with one of my daggers work. I hide the bodies in dark corners, or empty rooms. Easy enough of a temporary hising spot. Slowly making my way to where the target should be found.

I shifted the position of my ears. Someone found a body. Time to move. Climbing my way onto the rooftop, I jumped from building to building. Slashing anyone who got in my way with my knife. Noticing an open window to where I was headed, I jumped in the room, landing swiftly in the centre of the room.

"Katt!" Someone gasped. I looked up with my right eye, and saw someone kind of like me, but fox ears and tail. I put away my knife, and stood up. She didn't appear as if she was going to attack.

"Who are you." I snapped. "And how do you know my name?" Even though she didn't appear as a threat, I should kill her.

"Oh Katt! I'm so glad to see you! We have been looking everywhere!" She jumped at me, not seeming to have heard what I said.

"Stay back." I activated my rings. Claws came out of the knuckles. "Or I will have to kill you too."

"Katt.. What.." Her ears and tail dropped. "Don't you remember me..?" She pouted as I took a step closer to her, blades ready. Silently, I moved closer and closer, as the fox girl backed into a corner.

"I don't want to fight you Katt.." She pouted, reaching for a weapon. I took that moment to lunge towards her, blades outreached ready to strike. She pulled out a kunai, and moved it in the way of the blades, ducking herself down, away from the clashing metal. I ducked with her, and brought my other hand up, knuckles meeting her cheek. As I was bringing my blades down onto her neck, just before I could do any damage, a little clay bird came and landed on my hand. The sign to get out ASAP, the mission is complete. No need to stay longer. I let out a growl, and left.

~Jinx's P.O.V.~

Katt had left... She was about to kill me... Why did she try to kill me? Why did she just.. Leave.. Looking down, I saw a little clay bird. Deidara? Wait... Does that mean...

"Jinx!" Temari burst through my door. "Jinx, they- What happened to you? Oh, Jinx! They took Gaara!" She fell to her knees. "They took Gaara..." I crawled over to her.

"What?! Gaara! Where, who took him?" I grabbed onto her shoulder.

"I...I don't know.." He had a cloak on... He flew in on a clay bird..." I stood up as soon as she said those words.

"I'm going after them. They have Katt... I saw her... They've done something to her... She.. She tried to kill me." I ran out the door, and didn't turn back, even as Temari called after me.
