A/N: Okay, so this is it! The chapter most of us were waiting for. Questions are made and answers are given... Or maybe not! *maniacal laugh*
Meh. Not mine.

Olivia sat on her couch watching a nice movie with a cup of tea in her hands and groaned silently when her doorbell went off. She didn't complain, though: it could be a neighbor in danger.

To her surprise, she opened the door and Elliot was standing right at the other side of it.

- Really now? What do you think you're doing here? – Elliot opened his mouth, but Olivia cut him off. – No, don't answer that. First, how did you even get inside without buzzing me?

- I still have your keys.

This time, Olivia did groan.

- How dare you? Leave. Now. And leave my keys.

- Liv...

- It's Olivia. No! Even better, it's Detective Benson!

Olivia walked back inside. Elliot took a few steps, scoffing.

- Liv...

-Didn't you hear what I just said? – She asked, turning around. – Only my beloved ones are allowed to call me Liv. Now leave, Elliot, or I will arrest you no matter what hot mess with CIA it will get you into – she demanded coldly.

Her words had hurt him and she knew that, but it didn't stop her.

He hurt you far worse, Liv, it's only fair.

"Is it really?"

He left you! He left you after he promised he never would. He broke you to pieces and left the mess behind for others to clean it up. He lied to you. He isn't better than Dean or any other of those assholes you dated.

- Last time I saw you, you were still wearing your wedding ring. What changed? – Elliot asked.

- I don't love liars.

His eyes stung and his breath hitched, so Elliot turned around, put his keys on the coffee table and walked out. Before closing the door, he whispered only loud enough for her to hear:

- I hope someday you'll change your mind and listen to me. Until then... Goodbye, Olivia. I love you.

The door closed.

Not a second later, Olivia was on the floor, crying hard though silently.

Why? Why did he lie? Didn't he love her? Didn't he know her heart would be shattered? Was it that he didn't care about her at all?

On the other side of the door, Elliot's legs had also failed him and he was sitting on the ground, sobbing silently. Why didn't they give him a choice? Why didn't that stupid, arrogant, incompetent, worthless asshole Ed Tucker show them his terrible jacket? The suspension during Olivia's first or second year, that unauthorized undercover operation in which he arrested Ray Schenkle, that time when he was accused of killing a suspect... There were plenty occasions and behaviors to cut him off the list.

Of course he was proud of being recruited by CIA, but now he was having second thoughts about it. If he had been given a choice, maybe things would be different

All this time, Olivia thought him dead. God, he didn't even dare to imagine how much she had suffered, and it was all on him. It would always be.

Numbly, Elliot stood up, touched Olivia's apartment door one last time and left.

Olivia couldn't keep it quiet anymore and started weeping and sobbing. She didn't even have the strength to drag herself onto the couch, so she cried herself to sleep laid down on her carpet.
