Hey guys I am so sorry about the HUGE delay life definitely got in the way of writing, but I did finally finish my degree and that was totally awesome I hope that you all had an amazing Christmas and start to the New Year and I really hope that you will all enjoy the next chapter.

Emily and JJ made their way, quickly, down the long driveway headed towards the farm house in order to get to Sam before anything else could go wrong. When they got about halfway down they heard the rest of the team as well as the SWAT team following behind them. JJ looked over at Emily just in time to see the woman's notorious mask cover her features completely; her eyes blazing one last time before everything was hidden.

"We got this Em." JJ spoke before setting her own features, to hide her own feelings. As they reached the first building the two split up, Emily headed around the old garage to try and find a spot where she could see her daughter while JJ headed around the side of the house looking for the best possible shooting position. Even knowing that SWAT was following behind her, she knew Emily wouldn't trust anyone else to do this.

As Emily made it around the corner of the garage she found an open window which would allow her to get to the front of the garage and look into the courtyard. She had already stepped over three trip wires since leaving the drive way and although the constant delays frustrated her she spent precious moments examining the window before grabbing onto the ledge and lifting herself gently through the opening. As she lowered herself quietly back onto the floor she squinted into the dim light examining her surroundings as she crept towards the front of the building dodging around piles of lumber and rusted paint cans trying to avoid making any noise that would draw the kidnappers' attention towards her.

When she had reached the front of the building and peered quickly through the window; Sam was still strapped into the seat by the back door of the house with one of the kidnappers wondering around as though he wasn't sure what exactly it was he was doing. As she looked around the rest of the courtyard she spotted JJ standing at the corner of the house with Reid hidden behind a tree nearby. A noise behind her caused her to turn abruptly before pointing her gun at what turned out to be Morgan and a SWAT agent climbing through the same window she had. She gestured for them to be quiet, indicating that there was someone outside, as Morgan moved slowly towards her and the SWAT agent headed to the window on the other side of the doorway which would give him a better angle on the backdoor.

"What's happening?" Morgan asked quietly.

"The other guy is outside, he is just wandering around really. Sam is still bound to the chair and there is no sign of Schofield." Emily replied, shifting over so that Morgan was able to see better.

"What do you want to do Em?" Morgan asked, the nature of their situation causing him to revert to a more familiar nickname rather than calling her Prentiss.

"I don't know Morgan, we can't move until we know where Schofield is, I really don't want to watch my daughter be blown up and at any moment someone could trip one of those wires and utter mayhem could descend. So I really don't know." Emily was frustrated, she was finally close enough to be able to see Sam and yet she still couldn't reach her.

As Emily looked at her daughter she saw the same defiance that was often visible on her own. Sam was not willing to give up and yet she had no idea what to do next, all she could do was wait and as Emily looked again she noticed her daughter's resilience was beginning to fail. She looked back though as she heard Morgan mutter, "Trip wires."

"What?" Emily asked.

Morgan looked up, a slight smile crossing his face as an idea seemed to be forming in his head.

"The trip wires. What if instead of someone getting blown up we trip one of the wires intentionally?"

"What?" Emily asked, not understanding how this was going to help.

"If we trip one of the nearby wires, the guy outside will probably go see what happened and Schofield would come outside, we could separate them and catch them both by surprise so no one has time to detonate the explosives."

"There are a lot of what ifs in that plan Morgan, but your right. I think it could work." Emily carefully went over what Morgan was suggesting before she hit a problem, "How do we tell the others?" Emily asked.

Morgan grinned, "Some of us grabbed radios before we went running." He answered with a soft laugh before handing Emily her own mic.

The two conveyed the plan to the team, getting their approval before moving ahead. It was decided that one of the SWAT officers out on the side of the garage would trip a wire which was close enough to the courtyard that the kidnappers would have to investigate it. Morgan headed back out the window so that he would be in place to capture him while Emily and the SWAT agent would stay inside waiting for Schofield. JJ was in the best position to take a shot but a little back up definitely wouldn't hurt in this case.

It only took a few minutes before everybody was in place and the trip wire was detonated and everything seemed to happen at once. The man outside headed around the side of the barn where he was apprehended with little fuss. At the same time Schofield emerged carefully from the house, holding a detonator but moving carefully so that he would not accidently blow himself up.

"What the hell is going on?" he shouted as he made it through the doorway. When he got no answer from his accomplice he looked towards Sam.

"How the hell should I know fool?" she replied, regaining her strength as she knew help had finally arrived. But Schofield was no longer looking at her but rather over her shoulder and Sam knew he had spotted someone that was no supposed to be there.

What he had not noticed was Sam's own mother running towards him, not with a gun but with a look of determined rage as she grabbed onto the hand which held the detonator and they both crashed to the floor. Suddenly the courtyard was full of people, Sam recognised Morgan who was headed straight towards her rather than her mother quickly dismantling the death trap she had been secured to before rushing her quickly out of the court yard. She had no idea what was happening behind her as Morgan practically carried her towards the cars tearing up the drive way.

She had no idea what was happening, she thought it was all over, and then she heard the gunshot and a woman's scream.

So let me know what you think, and I promise it will not be another 6 months before I update.
