O.O wow I can't believe I wrote two chapters in one day. Anyway I thought splitting episodes 23 and 24 would be fun so here's part 1.

Fallon's POV

After Krad came to visit me my parents didn't want to take any more chances so they hurried me over to Daisuke's house the next day. Also to be safe so I wouldn't infect any other of my classmates they made me skip school. Dark as I expected was furious when Dad explained that the blonde angel had come to see me again.

"I'm sorry mate" I said to Dark as the two of us sat in Dai's room. Dark suddenly pushed me beneath his body on Daisuke's couch and kissed my lips like no tomorrow. I closed my eyes as I responded back to his kiss.

Never be sorry when Krad touches you Fallon that darkness may be inside you now but it will disappear my little fire my beloved said in my mind. Dark suddenly growled as though he were in pain and he got off of me.

"What is it?" I asked my other half concerned for whatever was hurting him. I looked down at Dark's right hand and it looked like he had been burned or something.

"Damn it" Dark cursed as he stood up from the couch and walked over to Daisuke's painting which was the same color as Dark's hand.

"What the hell is going on?"

"Daisuke's painting just cut off my communication with Daisuke as well did it close the gateway to his painting" my mate explained. He and I decided to discuss his findings with my parents along with Dai's family. Emiko didn't take the news well but of course I didn't blame her at all for worrying about Daisuke. Mom suddenly stood up and approached my mate she took his right hand and focused hard.

The smoke that had been on Dark's hand a second ago was now gone, Mom once she became a hybrid was given the gift of healing.

"Thanks Lucinda" Dark thanked Mom grateful to not be in pain anymore.

"What is it Freedert wants from Daisuke anyway?" I asked looking to Kosuke and my Dad. Both men seemed to know the story of "Ice and Snow" very well.

"Why don't you all of you follow me and I'll explain" Kosuke suggested standing up.

In the Niwa Library

"Ice and Snow" is actually called "Ice and Dark" it's a much more dark and depressing story" Dad began.

"All of the originals were burned the story describes artworks with magic powers"

"Like the Second of Hand Time" Dark said next. "Artworks of evil right?" I stood beside my mate as he sat in a chair. Today I was in a pair of white shorts with a navy blue tank top my hair was in a braid, I wore matching sandals the same color as my tank top on my feet.

"Yes that's why it became a target of the Cultural Reform it was converted into a happy fairytale story" Kosuke then began the original tale of "Ice and Dark". Growing up Freedert, Elliot, and another friend of theirs Kyle were close, then Freedert and Elliot fell in love and this really devastated Kyle because he too had been in love with Freedert. When the war came Elliot had to go away from the village where he, Freedert, and Kyle grew up in, Freedert gave Elliot a sword as a good luck charm, Elliot also asked Kyle to take care of Freedert before he left.

Kyle driven by his hatred for Elliot for taking Freedert from him had gone to the Second Hand of Time and begged for Elliot's time to end meaning his death. His wish was granted and Elliot was killed on the battlefield by an arrow struck into his back, the arrow resembled the second hand of a clock. Freedert upon learning of her beloved's death begged the Second Hand of Time like Kyle to use her time to save Elliot's life. However the cost of her request was her life and when Kyle found her he was struck again with grief.

Elliot had escaped death by Freedert's wish but when he returned to their village much time had passed and Freedert had been long buried. Elliot like Kyle and Freedert went to the Second Hand of Time and prayed before he took his own life with the very sword given to him my Freedert. As Kosuke finished I noticed a name on the book in front of Kosuke.

"Wait a minute Kyle is that the Kyle?" Dad nodded at my question.

"Yes he is the author of "Ice and Dark" kid"

"But what happened to him?" Mom asked looking to Dad.

"Because of his evil wish his time was taken over by the Second Hand of Time and controlled it, he was left to suffer with regret and despair, he was allowed to die when he repented by writing this story to warn future generations" my father replied to her.

"It has been said that Elliot's sword was called the "Wedge of Time" Kosuke added.

"You're kidding are you insisting that the "Wedge of Time" and The Second Hand of Time" are the Hikari's artwork?" Mom said figuring it out.

Dark had explained to me about the Hikari family and that like him each male in that bloodline would inherit Krad's gene on their fourteenth birthday.
"That sword is most likely the key to getting Daisuke the hell out of that painting of his where is this sword?" I inquired at Kosuke and Dad.

"It's been missing ever since Kyle died it may be hard to find now kid" Dad answered me.

"We don't have time to sit around here and talk let's find out where this sword is Towa you up for helping us out?" Dark inquired at the Niwa's maid.

"You bet!" Towa replied answered back.

Satoshi's POV

I entered the room where the "Wedge of Time" was chained to the floor. It was restless and it wanted to be freed. I felt Krad suddenly appear next to me.

"Are you going to try and lure Dark with this Master Satoshi? Or is it something else you have planned I'm surprised I never felt this kind of emotion from you, you've always been so detached, so distant, so empathetic I never known you to be concerned for others"

"Shut up!" I snapped back at my other half. Krad chuckled evilly before saying again.

"I see so you don't like talking about your emotions then I won't talk about it for now, just for now I've always cared deeply about you but you always shut me out"

"Don't even pretend that you care for at all you only think of me as a temporary vessel " I replied back to the angel who chuckled again.

"Because of you Fallon now has darkness growing within her heart so leave me!" I snapped at my other half who disappeared laughing.

"Fallon I'm so sorry for putting you through any pain I'll do whatever it takes to free that darkness within your heart even if it means costing my own life" I whispered, I had always cared for Fallon deeply at one point I did have a crush on her but that feeling faded when I knew she was meant for Dark. And I wasn't going to let Krad take her from the Phantom Thief who fate destined to be her mate.

Fallon's POV

I watched with interest as the Niwa's performed the locator spell with Towa. She stood in the middle of some kind of weird thing that glowed green light. When the light ended she opened her eyes and said.

"I know where the sword is" she replied hopping off the platform.

"Where is it?" Dark gently demanded from her.
"It was gone for awhile not it suddenly showed up out of nowhere" Towa answered.

"Most likely a trap" Dad suggested.

"Well now that's interesting I betcha I can outwit a trap" Dark said excitedly.

"I'm going with you mate" I added at Dark who looked at me.

Don't argue with me baka what if Blondie shows up again?

Alright love besides that fire magic of yours helped in Daisuke's painting Dark said through our bond.

"You stay close to your mate Fallon and Dark make sure you keep Krad away from here the thought of that bastard touching what isn't his makes my blood boil" Dad said with a growl.

"I will protect Fallon with my life Seth don't worry" Dark said wrapping his arms around my body. I gave Dark a playful look.

"Shouldn't I be the one protecting you?" I teased my other half.

Sunset

Fallon's POV

While Dark flew in the sky I followed him on the ground in my wolf form. The moon was approaching it's darkened cycle but there was still enough of its glow to still phase in and out of my wolf half. The sun was setting as the two us finally came to the site where the sword had to be. I climbed up the stairs just as Dark landed on the top of them.

"Took you long enough" Dark teased as he opened the door for me.

Shut up I growled at him through our bond as we entered the tower like structure. It kind of reminded me of the one in Dai's painting. We entered a hallway and stopped in front of a door. Dark used his magic to open the door up. As the door opened the "Wedge of Time" sat below us.

There it is

Indeed and it's calling to the painting Dark said.

Crap here comes Satoshi! I shouted through the bond just as Satoshi suddenly grabbed the sword in his hand.

"You always make a flashy entrance Hiwatari" Dark greeted Satoshi.

"You shouldn't have brought Fallon here! We don't have much time Krad!" Satoshi suddenly fell to the floor clutching his chest hard.

Here comes Blondie I said to Dark.

Be ready to fight him Fallon Dark replied back to me.

Satoshi's hair immediately turned gold which got the hair on my neck to stand on edge. Satoshi then screamed in pain as Krad's white feathers began to swirl around him. My heart broke at hearing him scream, Satoshi then screamed again as he fell to the floor. Krad's white wings emerged from his back and then a minute later the annoying other half of Dark's finally came out smirking.

Read to kick his ass? Dark inquired.
