You guys have no idea how sorry I am. My laptop has completely crapped out on me and the internet is even worse. I have not had internet since I last updated and again, I am so sorry.
Good news is that at this moment in life I have internet and everything is working, so im posting. Sorry the chapter is a little rough but it's better then my internet crashing and not getting a post for who knows how long.
Answerthecall: Glad you liked the chapter. Yeah, im pretty happy that Dusty and Ratchet made up. Focus will be back but not for a long time.
Quacker Lurker: Again, glad you liked the chapter and yeah, everyone is starting to actally get somewhere in life.
JackFroyo: I'm glad for the offer but my biggest issue with myself is that because my internet is so touchy, as soon as I have a chapter, I want to post it. Thanks so much for the offer though and I might take you up on it when things get really complicated. I don't have a Dusty vs Sentinal cat fight planned but the slag does hit the fan in the next few chapter. Things defifnalty get intresting.
Neon: Here the deal. Megatron(Megatronus) tecknical has a different start depending on what univers you're from. Transformers Prime he was a gladiator, in the IDW comics he was a miner turned gladiator, in few fanfictions he and Optimus were brothers and the adopted sons of Sentinal, other times its Megatronius and Orion. G1 he just wanted to stop the caste systesm (not sure how that all started) and he never even knew the then Orion Pax.
What im going with is that Orion and Megatronus are siblings and the true sons of Sentinal. Something happenes (cant say yet or ill spoil everything) Megatronus takes off to become a gladiator and shortens his name to Megatron. I plan on doing a second FF that will run parallel to Medical Journals that will be from Megatron, two OCs, and the Twins POV of things before the War. which answeres your question, yes the Twins do show up in Medical Journals, just at a later point. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need.
Autobot Mech-Ops: Sorry bout the long update, like I said, internet and laptop have officaly declaier WW3.
SunnySidesofBlue: Im gald you're enjoying it so far.
Canikostar99:yeah. In fact your (slash Carbon's) rant actually gave my friend a horrible terrible idea for Copper's planed demise. And yes, Avalon does also get his payback. I'm glad that your enjoying it so far.
komanaha24: this chapter is dedicated to you. Hope you enjoy it. I'm just glad that I finnaly got it up. You have no idea how this has been driving me insane.
kaitlynn-the-kat890: I am so glad that you are enjoying it so far. (And yes, I did remember the name Firestar from the warriors series. Amazing books)
hollydoor: I hope you enjoy it. There is still a lot to come.
The Accomplice: glad you lIke it so much. Yeah, Arachnid is creepy and there is more of her to come.
Ive vey already said this but wow I love you guys.
So like I said, there is a huge time jump right now. It is now ten metacycles after Ratchet nearly got incinerated. Nothing major has happened other then this first part that happens in Praxus.
"You tell her!" Hookclaw snapped, shoving Swindle forward a step. The small mech instantly jumped backwards.
"Oh no no no no no no no no. Nuh uh! Not a chance!" Swindle sputtered.
Arachnid frosted him with a look.
"I don't care who the frag tells me." She snarled, her spider legs arching in anger. "What. Is. Going. On."
"We've… well I mean… you… I mean…" Swindle stuttered, then shoved Hookclaw. "Tell her already!"
"What Swindle means to say is… ah… is… I mean…" The big mech started to say before once again he shoved Swindle forward. This time Arachnid caught his armor, pulling him forward as her spider legs sank into his shoulder guards, keeping him from stumbling backwards.
"Start talking!" She spat.
"We got hacked." He squeaked. Arachnid didn't move for a nano-klick. When she finally did, the big mech in front of her should have long disappeared. Arachnid suddenly gave a feral screech, throwing Swindle nearly forty feet away before slashing out at Hookclaw. Hookclaw jumped back, raising his arms in front of his faceplates just in time to stop Arachnid form tearing out his throat. Her razor sharp claws tore down his bracer and she felt them cut energon lines.
"What the fraggin Pit do you mean we got hacked?!" She screeched, her bi-ped legs folding up out of the way in favor of towering over the mech with her spider legs.
"We… we don't know what happened!" Hookclaw sputtered, cradling his torn arm to his chassis.
"Swindle!"
"Ah-ah-ah don't know! We just found out now!" Swindle stuttered, staring at the femme in terror. He had never seen her this angry.
"Who's. We!" Arachnid demanded, purple optics narrowed in anger.
"Hookclaw, myself and-"
Swindle suddenly stopped, taking a nervous step back. Arachnid sprang at him, slamming her claws back into Swindle's already damaged shoulder guard, pinning the mech to the floor as she leaned over him.
"Who else was there." She hissed dangerously.
"Barricade. Barricade had just left your office when we got the alert." Swindle whimpered, energon bubbling from the stab wounds in his shoulder guards.
"Barricade? You lie! He's the most dependable mech here!" Arachnid spat. Ever since he had managed to find his way here almost ten metacycles ago she had come to trust the black Praxian. He was dependable and was willing to get his servos dirty to get the credits some stupid mechs though that they didn't have to pay up.
"Ah did some digging." Swindle sputtered. "He used to be a 'Forcer."
"That's impossible! His record goes back 12 metacycels!"
Barricade an Enforcer?! How the frag had she managed to make such a deadly mistake?!
"Before that." Hookclaw spoke up and Arachnid turned to him with a snarl. "I talked to a mech that saw him talking to a 'Forcer. They seemed to know each other."
"If you are lying-" Arachnid hissed.
"Boss! We gotta problem! Barricade just made a break for it!" A mech she recognised as Onslaught yelled before turning and bolting.
"Spawn of a glitch!" Arachnid swore before she sprang forward bent on cutting the doorwinger off before he could get far. She raced to the back of the underground warehouse, climbing up a ventilation shaft and coming up in the back of a dark alley. Even as she watched, the sleek black alt mode of the black Praxian raced past.
Another feral snarl escaped her as she launched herself after the mech. As soon as she had the room she transformed to her third mode. Her spider legs flattened, armor plates shifting and she took off, her helicopter blades just making it past the walls. While Barricade was forced to swerve though the alley ways, Arachnid soared over them. When she had to, she switched back to her spider form to duck under overpasses and though narrow opening in the pipe works and cables that connected the skyscrapers.
"Give it up Barricade." Arachnid spat, jumping from a huge pipe, falling into her helicopter alt and giving chase again.
"I'd prefer not to." Came the forced reply of the black Praxian as he swerved around a corner. Arachnid transformed again, latching onto the side of the building, scrambling around the sharp corner, jumping away and transforming again.
"Return that data and I'll terminate you quickly." Arachnid hissed, nearly slamming into a power cable.
"I'll take my chances." Barricade said picking up the pace even as he himself nearly rolled his alt he took a corner so fast. With another angry hiss, Arachnid scanned the radio frequencies. Finally she found the one she wanted and hacked it.
"Where the fraggin pit are you mechs?!" Barricade sounded less than impressed.
"We're coming, we're coming! Primus, could you have given us any more warning that you were going for the data?!" Another equally annoyed voice snapped. "Get me the frag out of here before Aracknid skins me!' is not a lot of warning."
"Just get your Enforcer aft over here Shortshot and get me out of this mess!"
"I said we're working on it! Fastdraw and Driver already halfway to your position."
"Oh frag, you sent the rookies?!"
"We can hear you Barricade!" A new voice joined the argument.
"Good! Get her off of my tailpipe if your such a good shot!" Barricade spat, taking a corner to fast and sideswiping the building. The sound of his plates on the building's edge was music to Arachnid's audios. But the sharp crack of a plasma blast just missing her tail sent her into a fast climb over a building top as she scrambled to find the mech that had shot at her. The small black and white Enforcer was sprinting across the rooftops, a rifle slung over his shoulder as he jumped to a lower building.
"Ya missed!" Yet another voice yelled over the 'Forcer comm link.
"She moved! And I think-!"
The 'Forcer's rant was cut off as Arachnid fired a shot at the mech. It caught his doorwing, nearly blowing the thing off the 'Forcer's back. With a screech of pain that she could hear over the comms and with her own audios, the mech made a wild jump off of the building and disappeared over the other side.
"Fast!" Second voice yelled.
"Driver what happened!" The mech they had called Shortshot demanded.
"She just shot Fast! His doorwing's hanging on by a wire!" Driver said.
"Frag, she's gonna pay for that." Shortshot spat. "Driver, stay with Fastdraw. Barricade, where the frag are you!"
He sent the coordinates and with a snarl she also jumped off the building and transformed, bent on finding the glitch before his friends could catch up. It was just a few block away and she flew over the buildings.
The sleek black racer was all that she needed as she once again opened fire.
"Fra-!" Barricade spat as the the shot pierced his flank, just over his rear tire. Arachnid wasted no time as she zeroed in on the damaged mech. He skidded to a stop, transforming as energon gushed from the jagged hole in his abdominal slips. He clapped a servo over the stream even as he raised his gun in the other.
The first shot missed Arachnid as she swerved out of the way, the second she avoided only by transforming to attack the mech. Before he could get a third shot off she had shot a wad of spider webbing at him, the blast slamming his gun and servo against the building he had backed up against. She instantly pinned his other servo to the wall, trapping him there even as she attacked him. He gave a grunt of pain as she stabbed at him with her spider legs, impaling his doorwings.
"Where is my data!" She hissed into his faceplates. The mech smirked and she dug a spider leg deeper into his left doorwing. The mech clenched his denta but didn't cry out. She ground the razor sharp claw deeper into his doorwing, twisting it painfully till she hit the building's side.
"Go frag yourself." Barricade spat as he arched against her slight weight and the webbing.
"I want that data and I will pry if from your terminated carcass if I have to." Arachnid spat, curving her claw and jerking it out, tearing a jagged gash though the sensitive panel. Again he clenched his denta but didn't cry out.
"Have at it." He panted, struggling to stay upright as she dug another claw into his other doorwing. With a fanged smirk she reached for the back of his neck and his dataport.
Before she could pry the data out of his processor a shot went off near her helm and she instinctively jumped back with a snarl.
"Bout time you got here." Barricade ground out as another black and white Enforcer took a few steps closer to get a better angle at her.
"Though you said you could handle it." The 'Forcer said coolly as Arachnid hissed at him.
"I did. But then you didn't show up!" Barricade spat, arching against the webbing. She heard it start to tear and before she would have to worry about two 'Forcers, she bolted for the side of the building, launching herself onto the wall as another shot went off where she had been standing and scrambled madly up the side of the building. She launched herself over the edge of the building as another shot nearly grazed her back and stopped to send a silent snarl in the 'Forcer's direction.
"Frag, she messed up your doorwing." Shortshot was saying.
"Yeah. Fraggit you had better tell me you got that pit spawned data." Barricade growled.
"Course we did. We had it before you had commed us. Good job."
She heard a harsh gasp of pain before Barricade swore.
"Sorry. She nearly cut your doorwing in half." Shortshot said.
"Ya think?!" Barracade spat.
Arachnid had heard enough. She transformed to her helicopter form, keeping low to the rooftops and raced back to the hideout. She knew she only had a few klicks, a few joors at most, before the place was once again flooded with Enforcers. It took a few klicks to get 'home' and she transformed midair, skidding to a stop outside in the alley before stalking into the worn looking paint shop that was the entrance to the underground maze. She stalked down the sloping tunnel before walking into the warehouse.
"Who's first to get their helm ripped off." Arachnid snareled, glaring at the mechs that were dumb enough to catch her attention. They all wisely dropped her burning glare.
"That data Barricade stole has enough information to lock every mech and femme here up for the rest of their life cycles." She growled. "The termination penalty for most. Onslaght. Consider yourself promotied."
The towering blue and green mech nodded at her words, thick arms crossed over his chassis. She didn't trust the big mech but she did know that he was a dangerous mech when cornered and a strategic genious. Since Swindle had origannly been in control of security, she blamed him for Barricade being able to get past her personal firewalls. Onslaught was loyal to her and would keep the others in line.
"Pack up and get ready to move. I want this place torched in forty-five klicks. And somebody find me a hacker." Aracknid spat as she stalked off toward her office to find out what Barricade had all managed to copy. She slumped into her office chair, digits going to rub behind her curved horns as she mentally tore Barricade apart piece by piece. With that fantasy firmly in place she reached over, inserting her cord into the computer terminal and accessed her files.
To say that she was fragged was an understatement. He had copied everything.
"Ah… Boss?"
Arachnid looked up at the speaker to see a sleek looking green and white Praxian femme standing there.
"What." Arachnid growled, in no mood to play nice.
"Onslaught is ready to burn the place. As for your hacker, I know a mech. I've already contacted him and he's willing to meet you."
"How much." Arachnid asked.
"Million credits. Half before the job, half afterwards."
"A million credits. That's a lot. He had better be as good as he claims." Arachnid said, standing up and gesturing the femme to take the lead. Arachnid thought her designation was Snap.
"He is. He's been making quite a bit of a reputation in Kalis. Apparently he's here in Praxus and is already giving a lot of hackers here a run for their credits." Snap continued, respectfully letting Arachnid come up beside her. "If anyone can pull of a planet wide hack, it's him."
"He got a designation?"
"He used to go by Trip when he was in Kalis. I don't know what he calls himself now. He changes it every time he moves."
"Well then. Let's go see this Trip." Arachnid said with a hiss, following the femme back outside.
"Where the frag is he." Arachnid growled, pacing the tiny, ancient looking shed that was stuffed into a back alley on the very edge of Praxus. A small computer terminal had been set up on the back corner but other than that, the light and a small stool, the room was completely bare.
"I don't know. He said he would be here." Snap said, watching Arachnid nervously.
"But he isn't." Arachnid snapped, glaring at the small femme dangerously. She nervously played with her digits, anything to avoid Arachnid's dangerous look.
"Sorry Ah'm late. Ah had other things tah attend tah."
The heavily accented voice came from the ceiling and Arachnid twisted sharply as a tiny mech swung off the edge of the roof and landed silently in the alley. He strode into the building like he hadn't been keeping her waiting for almost two joors and then spun to face Arachnid, his bright green visor flashing in the dim light of the room. The poor light reflected off of his silver paint and she took note of his dangerous looking clawed digits and peds. She had no doudt that though he was small, not even up to her shoulders, he would be deadly of cornered.
"Ah heard ya got ah job fo' meh." The mech said.
"Yes. A 'Forcer managed to hack my files. Apparently you're the mech to talk to about getting them back."
"Forcers. Tha' means ah planet wide hack. Though some of teh toughest firewalls out there." The mech said.
"If you can't do it ill find someone else." Arachnid growled.
"Ah never said Ah couldn't do it. Ah just said id be hard." The silver mech assured her. "Ya got tah credits?"
"Yes. Half now and half after the data's gone." She said.
"Tha's tah deal." The mech said, spinning and jumping onto the single stool set at the terminal. He quickly booted it up and synced with it. Three klicks later and he had hacked into the Praxian Enforcer database.
"Now. Wha' were ya lookin' fo'?" The mech asked, turning his visored gaze back to Arachnid with a smirk.
xxXXxx
"Carbon! What happened!" Chrome demanded, sprinting to the big miner's side as he leaned heavily on Sterling. Energon dripped from the twisted mess that was his left leg as sparks flew from the circuitry.
"Took a load of scrap down to the pit. I hit that fraggin rut in the road. Jarred myself bad." Carbon gasped as Sterling helped him onto a huge table specifically designed for the miner's massive bulk. "I dumped the scrap and was coming back up when something snapped. Sterling had to help me the rest of the way here."
"Lay down." Chrome ordered, shoving the mech down against the table and easing the damaged leg onto the surface. Carbon rested his helm on his bracer, wincing as Chrome prodded the wound.
"How the frag did you snap your leg!" Chrome barked, scanning the damage even as he gently nudged a jagged shard of armor aside. Carbon twitched at the touch but at a warning growl from Chrome he froze.
"I told ya how!" Carbon objected before reaching over and smacking Sterling hard enough he nearly sent the silver mech sprawling. "And I told you to get that fraggin' road fixed!"
"Ey! Ah've been busy!" Sterling objected, rolling his shoulder from the force of Carbon's smack. "Ya know, haulin' ya aft back up tah mountain?"
"I told you to fix that road before I went and wrecked my leg!" Carbon snapped.
"An' Ah was still busy then!"
"Sure you were." Carbon growled, pointedly turning his helm away from Sterling and ignoring the mech.
"Ah was!" Sterling objected pathetically, before looking to Chrome for support. The scarred mech shrugged, already up to his wrists in Carbon's energon.
"I'm staying out of this. You two can go and beat each other to scrap after Ratchet gets back." Chrome said, digging around in Carbon's leg. The glitch had still been putting pressure on the main support strut when it had snapped. It had sheared off diagonally, stabbing down into circuitry and fluid lines even as his armor had buckled. Examining the almost clean snap to the strut, he realised the reason Carbon's leg had snapped so badly.
"You know why it snapped?" Chrome asked Carbon, deadly serious this time. Carbon took one look at the medic before sighing.
"Ya. I guess I do now. Frag, I was hoping I would have a more time." Carbon said quietly.
"Selion?" Sterling asked. Neither mech answered him but it was all the answer he needed. "Ow bad."
"Bad enough if it's effecting my frame Sterling. Don't need to dance around it." Carbon said bluntly, shooting the mech a look. Sterling sighed before slouching against the counters.
"Ah know Ah know. 'Ee's still got ah few metacycels right?" Sterling asked Chrome.
"Course he does. The glitch is impossible to terminate." Chrome growled, before he stood and, wiping the energon from his servos with a rag, took a vial of liquid from the cabinet. While it was still a powerful painkiller, it wasn't nearly as potent, or illegal, as Prex. He returned to Carbon, injecting the drug into his leg.
"Frag. Drugs?" Carbon asked with a grimace.
"Yep. It will hurt like the Pit." Chrome said before he got to work again as the drugs set it. Thankfully under closer examination, the break wasn't as clean as he had though it was. Would make it easier to set it.
"Sterling, pin his leg down would ya?" Chrome ordered, not even looking at the mech.
"Oh sure. So 'ee can kick meh in tah helm?" He snapped.
"Better you then the medic." Carbon said far too cheerfully. Good, the drugs were working. Unlike Sandy who loved drugs way too much for his own safety, Carbon dispraise them for a whole other reason. They made him a little loopy.
"Yeah yeah yeah." Sterling grumbled, coming around to Chrome's right side before leaning all his considerable weight onto Carbon's thigh.
"When ev'a ya feel like it." Sterling growled, ready for what came next.
Having slid his servos up under the torn wires, lines, and minor support struts, Chrome easily lifted the lower half of the main strut, lining it up with the top half. Carbon gasped at the pain, gripping the sides of the table in well-worn marks from other times he had crushed the metal.
Then without any warning, Chrome pressed down on both ends, effectively snapping the strut back into place, the slightly jagged edges catching and holding the strut in place.
Carbon arched against the table, a torrent of curses spewing from his vocal processor as Sterling was nearly thrown aside.
"Done. Don't move." Chrome ordered, reinserting his servos into Carbon's leg after jerking them free the moment he had reset the strut.
"Don't mind meh. Ah just got a knee guard in tah faceplates." Sterling grumbled, stalking back over to his friend from where he had been sent stumbling back a few paces. "Thank ya very much Sterling. Ah'm so glad that you willingly took tha' blow fo' meh. Oh ya very welcome Chrome. Ah'm willing tah take ah hit like tha' fo' ya any orn."
"Sterling?" Chrome growled, frosting the miner a look.
"Wha! Can't ah mech get ah little appreciation?!" Sterling sputtered in mock outrage.
"Shut up." Chrome snapped before sealing an energon line that had snapped when he reset Carbon's leg. His comm pinged from Ratchet and answered it.
"What."
"Chrome, It's Ratchet. They got a lot of construction going on around here and it's gonna take me another half a joor to get though."
"Half a joor?! What are they doing?! Rebuilding the street from scratch?!"
"Probably. I'll see you when I get there."
"Yeah yeah, see you in a bit." Chrome ended the comm with a muttered curse about slacking construction workers.
"What?" Sterling asked.
"Ratchet's gonna be late." Chrome answered, ready to start welding the strut back together. But an eerie sensation passed over his frame and he automatically stiffened and turned toward the door. It had been the rumbling of a transport's engines.
"Sterling?"
"Ya Ah'm goin'." Sterling replied as he made his way toward the door. "Frag."
"What."
"Forcers. Teh just landed ah transport on tah road." Sterling said, shooting Chrome a look even as he let his jagged blades slide out of subspace.
"Put those away. I do not want to clean more energon off of the floor then what Carbon already lost." Chrome snapped.
With an annoyed growl Sterling subspaced the blades but didn't move from his position by the door. Chrome, knowing that his back was covered, returned to Carbon only to have the doors slide open with a hiss. Half a dozen Enforcers, the lead 'Forcer the same height as Sterling though a little on the slimmer side, stalked in. He didn't even spare Sterling a look as he marched past but a second 'Forcer, also the same size as Sterling but with bulker, jagged armor, had his gun out and primed in a nano-klik. Sterling's warning growl as it was aimed point blank at his chassis went ignored.
"What the frag is going on." Chrome barked, subconsciously shifting to block the 'Forcers from reaching Carbon.
"You the mech designated Chrome?" The lead 'Enforcer asked.
"Naw, 'is designation's Fancy!" Sterling snapped, earning a warning rumble from the mech with gun at his spark.
"Make a move and I put a round in your spark." The mech growled. Sterling returned the rumble, his engine noticeably more menacing then the 'Forcer's.
"Yeah I'm the mech. I'm busy right now, his leg isn't going to repair the damage itself so if you would kindly get the frag out of my medbay I'm sure you'll find the scrap better company." Chrome growled, armor flaring aggressively.
"That I'm afraid I can't do." The 'Forcer said, shifting his servo to the rather large gun holstered at his side. "I have orders to bring you in for questioning."
"What?!" Sterling yelled, taking a furious step forward.
xxXXxx
"Fraggin construction." Ratchet growled as he raced up the mountain. Thankfully it hadn't taken him half a joor, only a few kliks actually, but he was still late. As soon as he came skidding around the corner he hit the brakes, transforming in a slide to see the slate grey shuttle parked in front of the medbay.
"What?!" Sterling's unmistakable bellow could have been heard for miles. As well as the sound of the gunshot.
Ratchet bolted for the medbay and burst through the doors, right into two 'Enforcers. They were caught completely off guard as he shoved though them to Sterling's side where the mech was slouched against the wall, his servo digging into the gaping wound in his shoulder guard. A harsh clawed servo latched onto his own shoulder guard and forced him to his knee bolts as the hot barrel of a gun was felt beside his audio. He instinctively raised his servos, his gaze sweeping the medbay to find Chrome but he swearing should have been a dead giveaway.
"Get your rust ridden fraggin claws off 'a me! You miserable pit spawn excuses of a half bit spawn of glitch! Leave Sterling and Carbon the frag alone they've both damaged ya idiotic fraggen afts!"
Two big mechs had the medic pinned to the floor, his servos already behind his back in stasis cuffs. A sixth Enforcer had his gun trailed on Carbon, the big mech half off the massive table, his leg still dripping energon.
Sharp claws dug into his wrist and yanked his servo behind his back even as his other servos was quickly cuffed as well. He winced as his shoulder were wrenched painfully, then the stasis cuffs activated, shorting out the wires in his arms from the elbow joints down. He head a pained whine and twisted to the side to see the remaining two Enforcers jerk Sterling to his peds, cuffing his arms behind his back and not at all worried about the way his shoulder joint sparked and the gears ground together painfully.
"You three are under arrest." The mech behind Ratchet growled.
"Like frag they are." Carbon growled venomously. Ratchet had been warned that Carbon had been a violent mech and he saw that side now in the utter hate and anger radiating off of the jet colored miner. The 'Forcer with his gun on Carbon took a nervous step back as the mech stood, the two 'Forcers dragging Chrome upright even as the medic cursed them to the Pit and back.
"Sit back down and nothing more will happen." The 'Forcer holding Chrome growled, reaching for his gun. Faster than anyone could move, Carbon swung a heavy fist and decked the 'Forcer.
"Aw frag." Ratchet muttered as one 'Forcer from Sterling, the one behind him, and the 'Forcer with the gun tackled Carbon to the ground.
so I'm posting this on my phone because the five minites I had internet on my laptop I was able to get it onto fanfiction. I've never posted a chapter on my phone so I'm really sorry if it turns out like scrap.
Side note. I've got a lot of writing to cover and I want your guys option on what should all happen. What do you guys want to see and I'll try to get it in proving it dosent mess up what parts of a time line I already have.
Till next time. See you all!
