Ok, here's the next chapter of Judgement of Cyberspace. As I said, Ellie and Kyle's duel against Gate Guardian will end here for sure. And as for how it'll end, I know exactly how I wanna do it, and who'll win against who. But I won't say who. If you're curious as to who, then read away. Let's go.
Joey and Tristan, now out of the cave, were climbing up the mountain, by following a narrow trail. And as they got higher up, it also got colder.
"If I'd know we'd be going through mountains, I woulda brought a jacket to at least keep warm," Joey shivered.
"Who would've thought in a virtual world, the cold would feel just as bad as it did in reality," Tristan replied grasping his arms, trying to keep warm.
"I'm not lettin' this cold stop me from findin' my little sister. Serenity! Where are you ?!" Joey yelled aloud.
"Keep quiet, man. You're gonna cause an avalanche!"
"Hey! I'm trying to find my sister. Until I know she's a'right, I'm not stopping for anythin'. Serenity!" Joey continued yelling for his sister.
Still making their way higher up in the mountains, Kaiba and Serenity were trekking through the snow, and the freezing cold temperatures.
Kaiba was walking through, not even bothered by the cold, while Serenity, right behind him was still shivering, even though she was covered with Kaiba's white overcoat.
"I think the farther we get into this place, the colder it gets," Serenity shivered.
And then the ice started to crack, making a frozen lake. As Serenity grasped herself onto Kaiba's arm for comfort, something burst from the ice water.
A bunch of pale yellow tentacles shot up as something arose. It was a giant, yellow kraken with yellow eyes, and it was looking right to Kaiba and Serenity.
"What is that?!" Serenity exclaimed.
"A Fiend Kraken," Kaiba said as he got Serenity off his arm, he drew a card from his deck. "I summon my Blue Eyes White Dragon!" Kaiba yelled aloud and a bright blue light shined from the card, and his trademark monster appeared above them. "Take it away, Blue Eyes! Show that seafood platter who's boss! White Lightning!"
Blue eyes shot a white lightning blast from his mouth at the Fiend Kraken, causing an explosion, which caused a wave of water to rise from the lake and splash everywhere, as Serenity took cover behind Kaiba.
"Is it over?" Serenity asked.
"For that Fiend Kraken it is," Kaiba said.
In another area of the virtual world, there was a city part of it. But that city was unlike any, because the buildings were all black and had blue data going up and down from the tops of them, all the way to the ground. And above them was a sky that was a dark color of blue-green, instead of a light blue like an actual sky.
In one building that towered over them all, on the top floor there was a room with a big, black sphere, that had red lights all over it. And inside that sphere was the virus sitting in a tall chair, looking over everybody on a bunch of different screens. "Soon. They'll all fall at the hands of my monsters, and it'll only be a matter of time when I'm in the real world, and I've conquered it all." The virus turns to Kaiba and Serenity. "It seems he needs a bit more of a challenge. Time to change the rules around here." It pulled out a Duel Monsters card and put it into the computer. "Try this one."
Back in the snowy mountains, Kaiba was continuing to trek through the area, with Serenity staying close by his side in case anything else attacked.
And then the ice in front of them broke once more, and a pillar of water rose up before it turned to ice.
"Great now what?" Kaiba said irritatingly.
The ice broke open revealing another monster that had white hair bunched up into a spikey fashion on its head. It wore a white mask over its face so all that could be seen were its red eyes. It also wore a purple and burgundy robe with black pants, and a dark blue-green cape and boots.
"What is that thing?" Serenity asked even more terrified than before.
"A Neo Aqua Madoor," Kaiba replied. "Said to be a wizard that can manipulate the seas. But let's see what this water wizard thinks of my Blue Eyes White Dragon." Kaiba said pulling out the card summoning his Blue Eyes once more. "Take it away, Blue Eyes! White Lightning!"
Blue Eyes White Dragon once again shot a lightning blast from his mouth at the Neo Aqua Madoor.
But the monster made waved of water burst through the ice, and made it surround him as the water wall became an ice wall, and Blue Eyes White Dragon's attack barely cracked it.
"Oh, great," Kaiba said to himself. "It's as if that Aqua Madoor has some kind of power bonus here for being a wizard. This won't be easy."
Neo Aqua Madoor raised himself up with another pillar of ice, then held his hands out and started shooting shards of ice at Kaiba and Serenity.
"Look out!" Kaiba yelled pulling Serenity out of the way as he dodged the wizard's attack.
The Neo Aqua Madoor shot ice shards at Kaiba's Blue Eyes, making it collapse and fall through the ice, then its whole body became encased in ice as it froze solid.
Kaiba gasped. "My dragon! He's frozen solid. And I can't return him to my deck."
"What do we do?!" Serenity panicked.
"We find a way to beat this cold wizard."
Still running through the forest, Yugi, Tea and Duke had been making their way through to find the rest of their friends.
And then all of a sudden, many of the trees began to morph. They lost all leaves and their bark had turned from brown to dark blue, and there had faces on each of them.
Their roots stuck out of the ground blocking the trio in a circle of all the Trent monster trees.
"The trees!" Duke exclaimed. "They're alive."
"And they've got us trapped! We're surrounded!" Tea said worriedly.
"I've faced these things before," Yugi said as he had a flashback.
He flashbacked to when he and his friends went searching for Yugi's grandpa, and had gotten trapped in the real life version of the Capsule Monsters game.
Yugi and the Pharaoh were surrounded by Trent trees, while they're only defense was they're Obnoxious Celtic Guardian.
The Celtic Guardian was hit by the Trent's top branches and when that happened, Yugi had felt the pain of his monster.
Yugi returned to reality and looked to the Trent's surrounding them. "We have to beat them to move on otherwise we're all done for."
"But how? There's too many of them," Tea said.
"Last time I was up against these, I had used a monster of fire to burn them to the ground completely," Yugi replied.
"Fire. Of course! If you let fire loose in the open forest, it burns down everything in its path," Tea caught on and she drew a card from her deck. "Perfect. Fire Sorcerer. You're on!"
Her Fire Sorcerer appeared in front of them, then let loose waves of fire, which burned the Trent trees to the ground.
"All right, Tea!" Yugi exclaimed happily. "You beat them back."
"Yeah! Now let's get a move on before something worse shows up," Tea said recalling her Fire Sorcerer and then the trio took off running again.
Once more in the Labyrinth Maze Ellie and Kyle had gotten an advantage in the duel, and Gate Guardian was preparing to make its next move.
"Our turn," Sanga of the Thunder began.
"And we begin by playing our Pot of Greed," Kazejin went on.
"With it we draw 2 additional cards from our deck," Suijin finished for them.
"Next we play the Shallow Grave magic card." And they used a card with a monster crawling from the ground.
"With this magic card, we can each take a monster from our graveyards."
"And summon them to the field in defense mode."
"If that's the case, then I pick my Sonic Bird," Kyle said summoning his selected monster back to the field.
"And I'll bring back Maha Vailo," Ellie said picking her monster as well.
"And we shall choose our Flying Kamakiri." Sanga of Thunder said and they're green insect returned to the field as well. "Next we summon a monster called Bladefly."
Bladefly: ATK: 600 DEF: 700.
Then appeared a big, red fly with purple eyes and blades on the ends of both its front arms.
"And as long as our Bladefly is on the field, all wind attribute monsters gain 500 additional attack points," Kazejin went on to explain their new monster's abilities.
"And with our Rising Air Current still on the field, it shall also give wind monsters 500 more attack points, for a total of 1000 points." Suijin concluded once more.
Bladefly: ATK: 1600 DEF: 300.
Flying Kamakiri #1: ATK: 2400 DEF: 500.
Sonic Bird: ATK: 2400 DEF: 600.
"Oh brilliant. They're turning the tide on this duel," Kyle said in disappointment.
"Before we attack, we play one more magic card." Sanga of Thunder said and another card disappeared from their hand, leaving only one left.
"Scroll of Bewitchment," Kazejin said as the card was revealed. "We use this magic card to turn your most powerful monster into an earth attribute monster."
"And due to Bladefly's other ability, earth monsters lose 400 attack points." Suijin explained the rest.
Hungry Burger: ATK: 1600 DEF: 1850.
"Ah, give me a break," Kyle said even more disappointed.
"Now we switch Flying Kamakiri back to attack mode," Sanga of Thunder said, and then he along with Kazejin and Suijin yelled in unison, "Flying Kamikiri attack his Hungry Burger!"
Their flying green insect attacked Kyle's monster and destroyed it.
Ellie: 8100 LP Gate Guardian: 3550 LP Kyle: 7800 LP.
Kyle groaned and dropped to his knees. "Oh, man. Dueling here really takes it out of you a lot more than it does in the real world."
"One monster left," Sanga of Thunder said again. "Bladefly, attack his other monster!" The three monsters yelled in unison once more.
Their Bladefly attacked Kyle's Sonic Bird, which was destroyed instantly too.
"That was my last monster," Kyle said in shock.
"But they've used up all there attacks. So they can't attack us anymore this turn," Ellie reminded him.
"We end our turn," Gate Guardian said.
"Then I'll go," Ellie said beginning with a draw. "I'll summon Hystric Fairy in attack mode."
Hysteric Fairy: ATK: 1800 DEF: 500.
Her new monster was a fairy woman with big, white wings on her back, a golden halo above her head, and she was wearing a dark blue long sleeved shirt and a skirt, with black boots and red glasses over her eyes.
"Now time to weaken your monsters' attack power by taking out your Bladefly! Hysteric Fairy, attack!"
Her fairy flew over to destroy the selected monster, but Gate Guardian had just chuckled lightly.
"Reveal trap card: Pixie Ring!" Sanga of the Thunder yelled aloud.
They're trap was designed with the Battle Ox trying to get at Watapon and a group of fairies, but they were protected by a silver light.
"If we have 2 or more monsters out on the field and if Pixie Ring is out," Kazejin went on.
"Then you cannot attack our monsters with the lowest attack strength, so Bladefly is safe." Suijin finished off.
Ellie's Hysteric Fairy stopped her attack and flew back over to hers and Kyle's side of the field.
"There's nothing left in my hand that can help," Ellie sighed. "I have to end my turn."
"Then I'll take over," Kyle said beginning his turn and drawing a new card. "I summon the Fiend Megacyber in attack mode."
Then in front of Kyle appeared the yellow armored monster he used in his duel with Ellie.
"And because you have 2 monsters and I have none Fiend Megacyber can be summoned without a sacrifice." Then he turned to his girlfriend. "Can one of your monsters spare a few points?"
"Whatever you need to do, go for it," she said giving him a thumbs up.
"Then in that case, I use the magic card Riryoku!" Kyle said holding out a magic card with a monster draining the strength of a man. "For this turn only, I can drain half of Hysteric Fairy's attack points and add those points to my Fiend Megacyber.
Hysteric Fairy: ATK: 900 DEF: 500.
Fiend Megacyber: ATK: 3100 DEF: 1200.
"Now since your pesky Kamakiri has the higher attack points, I can attack him, because my monster is now stronger. Fiend Megacyber attack!" Kyle yelled aloud.
His monster rushed at the Kamakiri and punched it, which made it burst into pixels.
"And once more I use Guardian Angel Joan's Deck Master ability, so Kyle and I get 700 more life points.
Ellie: 9300 LP Gate Guardian: 2850 LP Kyle: 8500 LP.
"Once more we use our monster's ability, to summon a new monster from our deck," Sanga of Thunder started.
"We summon to the field Ultimate Insect level 1." Kazejin said and they summoned a new monster.
Ultimate Insect LV1: ATK and DEF: 0.
Then in a flash of light appeared a purple and red caterpillar.
"Ugh. That thing is ugly," Ellie groaned in disgust.
"You're telling me. Something tells me that oversized worm is more than it appears to be. I'll play the last card in my hand faced down and end my turn. And now my Riryoku magic card wears off, so our monsters' strengths go back to normal."
"Then our turn begins," Sanga of Thunder started as they drew a card.
"And now, because our turn begins," Kazejin went on to explain.
"Our Ultimate Insect becomes a level 3 monster," Suijin finished off.
Ultimate Insect LV3: ATK: 1400 DEF: 900.
A light shined on their insect, and as it glowed, their monster grew bigger and more powerful in the process.
"And with Bladefly and Rising Air Current still in play."
"Our monster gets stronger by 1000 points."
"But unfortunately for your monsters, they lose 300 due to Ultimate Insect's special ability."
Ultimate Insect LV3: ATK: 2400 DEF: 500.
Hysteric Fairy: ATK: 1500 DEF: 500.
Maha Vailo: ATK: 1250 DEF: 1400.
The Fiend Megacyber: ATK: 1900 DEF: 1200.
"That bug weakened our monsters," Ellie claimed.
"Something good did come out of it though," Kyle said. "I can activate the card I threw down last turn: Card of Last Will." He flipped a trap card with a hand sticking out of the grave, holding 5 Duel Monsters cards. "Thanks to this trap, if the attack strength of one of my monsters goes either up or down, I can refresh my hand with 5 new cards." He said drawing 5 cards from his deck.
"So be it," Sanga of Thunder said.
"But your Fiend Megacyber shall be no more."
They yelled in unison once more, "Ultimate Insect attack!"
Their red and purple bug crawled over to Kyle's monster and devoured it.
Ellie: 9300 LP Gate Guardian: 2850 LP Kyle: 8000 LP.
"And now it's Bladefly's turn to attack again," Suijin said. "And he will on your life points."
Bladefly flew at Kyle to attack his life points, and he looked to his girlfriend and she gave him a nod.
"Patrician of Darkness, redirect the attack to her monster," Kyle said and a dark blue aura shrouded his Deck Master, and Bladefly changed direction, attacking Maha Vailo instead.
"You didn't have to have me do that," Kyle said to his girlfriend.
"You were defenseless; I had a monster to protect my points. If you keep taking all these hits for me Kyle, you'll lose for sure," Ellie said to him.
"You're right," Kyle nodded. "The only way to take down these brutes is to work together."
"We set one card faced down and end our turn," Sanga of Thunder said throwing a faced down card and left only one in their hand.
"My turn," Ellie said with a draw. "I use the magic of Graceful Charity." She held out her card. "With it I draw three more cards and discard 2." She said doing so. "Next I reveal my faced down card: Birthright." Ellie flipped the same trap card Serenity used against her rematch duel with Bandit Keith. "With this I revive my Fairy's Gift."
Fairy's Gift: ATK: 1400 DEF: 1000.
She summoned from her graveyard a fairy with bright green skin, wearing a green dress, darker green wings on her back, and long, flowing green and purple hair.
"Next I sacrifice Fairy's Gift, and Hysteric Fairy so I can call to the field, Athena," Ellie said summoning a new monster.
Athena: ATK: 2600 DEF: 800.
Her new monster was a goddess wearing a long, white dress, and a white and gold helmet on her head. She also wielded a shield in her left hand, and a long silver spear weapon in her right.
"Now that's one powerful monster," Kyle said in surprise.
"You may have a more powerful monster on the field," Sanga of Thunder said.
"But we still have our Ultimate Insect's ability," Kazejin continued.
"Which takes away 300 of your Athena's attack points," Suijin finished.
Athena: ATK: 2300 DEF: 800.
"I'm aware of your monster's ability, but I plan on making my Athena stronger. And it begins with this next magic card: Magical Stone Excavation," Ellie said holding a magic card with glowing purple stones in the ground. "With this by taking 2 cards in my hand and sending them to the graveyard, I can take another magic card from my graveyard and add it to my hand." She discarded 2 cards and a different one ejected from the graveyard. "Next I'll equip this card to Athena. Remember Elf's Light?" Ellie said holding her selected card.
Athena ATK: 2700 DEF: 600.
A gold light shined on her goddess, and her strength grew.
"Now my Athena is once again the most powerful monster. Athena, attack their Ultimate Insect!"
As she was commanded, Athena used her spear weapon to destroy their insect.
Ellie: 10,000 LP Gate Guardian: 2750 LP Kyle: 8700 LP.
As Gate Guardian's life points went down, Ellie and Kyle's went up, due to Ellie's Deck Master; Guardian Angel Joan.
"We reveal our faced down card: Rope of Life," Sanga of Thunder said flipping their card up.
"Once we send all cards in our hand to the graveyard, we can bring back the monster you destroyed," Kazejin said and they three out their last card.
"And that monster comes back with 800 additional attack points," Suijin said and their monster returned.
Ultimate Insect LV3 ATK: 3200 DEF: 500.
"Impossible," Ellie said to herself. "Every time we make a comeback, they strike back with a better move."
"Sooner or later they're gonna run out of tricks," Kyle said. "Soon we'll find a way to take them down."
"Then I'll let you take over. I end my turn."
"My move then," Kyle said beginning his next turn. "I set one monster faced down in defense mode, and one more card faced down. That'll be it for this turn."
"Our move then," said Sanga of Thunder.
"And we begin by playing the magic card Raigeki," Kazejin said as they played their next card which was designed with a bolt of lightning.
"This destroys all monsters on your side of the field," Suijin said and dark clouds began to form right above them.
"Not before I use this trap card," Kyle said. "Reveal Light of Intervention." He flipped a trap card with a bright light shining down on a monster. "This forces all face down monsters to flip face up. So be revealed, Magician of Faith!" He flipped his Spellcaster monster. "By flipping her up, I can activate her ability before she's destroyed and move one magic card in my graveyard to my hand."
"But not to the field," Sanga of Thunder said.
And then both Ellie and Kyle's monsters were struck by lightning and destroyed.
"And there's more," Kazejin said. "With a new turn, Ultimate Insect becomes level 5 now."
Ultimate Insect LV5: ATK: 2300 DEF: 900.
Their insect began to glow once more, and it went through a metamorphosis, which changed it completely this time. It was no longer a caterpillar, but a light blue bug with multiple legs and pincers on its face.
"And with our Rising Air current and Bladefly cards still in play, it only grows stronger," Suijin said.
Ultimate Insect LV5: ATK: 3300 DEF: 500.
"And now monsters, attack both their life points directly!" Gate Guardian yelled.
Both insects made their way to Ellie and Kyle; Ultimate Insect attacked Ellie directly, while Bladefly did the same to Kyle.
Ellie: 6700 LP Gate Guardian: 2750 LP Kyle: 7100 LP.
They both had been knocked back after being attacked.
"Are you alright?" Kyle asked as they both got back up.
"I'm fine," she groaned. "But you were right. These hits do take it out of you more here."
In the virtual pod control room in the real world, Rafael had been monitoring everything, including Ellie and Kyle's duel.
"Looks to me like your new friends are both pinned," Rafael said. "They may have more life points than that Gate Guardian, but it has 2 monsters out and they have none. Not to mention, its monsters both strengthen their own and weaken their opponents."
"What can we do?" Mokuba asked. "There's gotta be something we can do to help. Because if they lose that duel the virus will get their minds and trap them there. Plus Seto and Serenity are in no better shape. That Neo Aqua Madoor turned Seto's Blue Eyes White Dragon into a dragon-sicle."
"All we can do is hope for some kind of miracle, which'll allow them to pull through and beat back what's got them each in an unpleasant situation," Rafael replied.
"At least Yugi, Duke and Tea seem to be doing well," Mokuba said looking to his 3 other friends. "But Joey and Tristan, there's no telling what awaits them when they get up that mountain."
"They seem to be on the right trail," Roland spoke up. "If they get there in time they'll bump right into Mr. Kaiba."
In the snowy mountain areas, Kaiba and Serenity were both barely dodging attacks from the Neo Aqua Madoor, as it was shooting shards of ice from its hands at them both.
"Time to teach this frosty freak a lesson," Kaiba said drawing a card from his deck. "I summon my Vorse Raider!" He said summoning the monster he used against Battle Steer. "Now take down that Aqua Madoor!" Kaiba commanded.
His vicious armored monster charged at the ice wizard, but it countered by unleashing a wave of water which knocked Vorse Raider back, and when it hit the ground, it broke through the ice and became frozen solid, too.
"No! Now another one of my monsters is frozen," Kaiba exclaimed.
"Wait a minute, Kaiba," Serenity said. "Maybe you're going about this all wrong. If this monster can use ice attacks, maybe we should use monsters that can use fire attacks."
"Are you sure about this?" Kaiba turned to her with a slightly stern look on his face.
Serenity nodded. "I'm thinking that since every other monster we use gets frozen, fire may be the Aqua Madoor's only weakness." She drew a card from her own deck. "I summon Fire Princess!" She held out her card and the monster was summoned to the field.
Kaiba huffed and drew a card from his deck as well. "I summon La Jinn the Mystical Genie of the Lamp!" He yelled aloud and summoned a green genie with a short mustache and gold gauntlets on his wrists.
"Fire Princess, attack that Aqua Madoor!" Serenity commanded and her princess raised her staff, and the top of it got cloaked in fire, then the Fire Princess threw it at the Aqua Madoor.
"La Jinn, take that wizard down!" Kaiba commanded his own monster and his genie breathed fire from his mouth.
Neo Aqua Madoor raised a water wall once more and turned it to ice, but Kaiba and Serenity's fire attacks burned right through, and Aqua Madoor's eyes widened in shock as he was blasted and destroyed.
Serenity stood forward to feel the blaze of heat, and sighed happily. "The heat feels so good in these temperatures."
Kaiba's monsters that were both still frozen broke through their ice prisons, and returned to his deck. "Seems like even the youngest of kids can have some decent ideas."
Serenity smirked happily, accepting that as a compliment.
Still making their way up it, Joey and Tristan had been climbing through the mountain to find their friends, but as they got higher it got colder.
"How long does dis go on for?" Joey complained.
"It's a mountain, dude. Do you not see how tall it is?" Tristan asked sarcastically.
"Of course I see how tall it is. What I don't like is dat it's so cold up here. If I'd known we'd be climbing a mountain covered in snow, I'd have worn a better jacket."
"Don't suppose you'd wanna huddle together, warm each other with one another's body heat?" Tristan asked with a smirk on his face.
"Watch it!" Joey said sternly.
Once more in the Labyrinth Maze, Ellie had taken her next turn.
"I start by summoning Spirit of the Harp in defense mode," she said summoning a new monster.
Spirit of the Harp: ATK: 800 DEF: 2000.
On a horizontal card, appeared a woman wearing a yellow dress, and she was playing soothing music from a harp.
"Then I'll put this faced down on the field and I end my turn," Ellie said concluding her move.
"My turn," Kyle started. "And I start by playing the card I brought back from the graveyard using Magician of Faith's ability: Double Summon." He held the card out that he used in the beginning of the duel. "With it I can once again summon 2 monsters this turn. Like these: Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest." Kyle said summoning two monsters at once. "Next I play a card faced down as well, and end my turn."
A faced down card appeared on Kyle's side of the field and then Gate Guardian began.
"To start off our next turn," Sanga of the Thunder said as they drew their card.
"Our Ultimate Insect upgrades in his level one last time," Kazejin said.
"To his ultimate form. Ultimate Insect level 7!" Suijin concluded.
Ultimate Insect LV7: ATK: 2600 DEF: 1200.
Their insect began to glow once more, going through a Metamorphosis again, and it grew into a massive red, purple and blue moth-like monster.
"And due to his ultimate form."
"All your monsters will lose not only 700 attack points."
"But 700 defense points as well. While our monster still grows stronger."
Ultimate Insect LV7: ATK: 3600 DEF: 800.
Witch of the Black Forest: ATK: 400 DEF: 500.
Sangan: ATK: 300 DEF: 0.
Spirit of the Harp: ATK: 100 DEF: 1300.
"Oh, great, now what?!" Ellie exclaimed. "With their monster at its most powerful form, it'll weaken ours by too many points. Nothing we have can stop it."
"There may be one card in my deck that can help us," Kyle said looking to the cards in his deck. "Like Yugi, I too believe in my cards, and I know they'll pull through."
"Ultimate Insect Level 7 attack!" Gate Guardian commanded. "Destroy Spirit of the harp!"
The now all powerful insect flew at Ellie's monster, but Kyle stepped forward. "Not gonna happen, Gate Guardian. Patrician of Darkness, redirect it to my Sangan."
Once more a dark blue aura shrouded Kyle's Deck Master, and Ultimate Insect attacked Sangan instead.
"Now Bladefly will take out your other monster," Sanga of Thunder said. "Attack Witch of the Black Forest!"
Bladefly slashed Kyle's witch with its blade arms, destroying her, too.
"Due to my monsters special abilities, I can now take 2 monsters from my decks, and add them to my hands. One with an attack of 1500 points or less, and vice versa," Kyle said taking two cards from his deck, then shuffling up his cards.
"Before ending our turn."
"We use one last card this round."
"The magic card, Meteor of Destruction!"
Gate Guardian revealed card with a massive meteorite.
Dark clouds formed above them again, and an orange light came from the meteor that was about to descend on one of them.
"Due to meteor of destruction, one of you will now lose 1000 life points," Sanga of Thunder said. "And that person will be you." He pointed towards Ellie.
The meteorite then prepared to hit her.
"I don't think so, Gate Guardian," Ellie said to the trio of monsters. "I flip my magic card, Spell of Pain. Which allows me to use your Meteor of Destruction magic card against you."
The meteorite changed its course and it hit Gate Guardian instead, as it burst into a massive explosion.
Ellie: 6700 LP Gate Guardian: 1750 LP Kyle: 7100 LP.
"Nice move," Kyle complimented.
"Thank you," Ellie accepted it.
"You fools are only prolonging your ultimate defeat," Kazejin yelled.
"We end our turn," said Suijin.
"Then I get to go again," Ellie said while drawing a card. "I'll leave my Spirit of the Harp in defense mode, then I use my Cost Down card. This downgrades the level of every monster in my hand by 2 stars. So now to summon this next monster, I won't have to make any sacrifices. Say hello to my Millennium Shield.
Millennium Shield: ATK: 0 DEF: 3000.
Then appeared a gold and red shield with the Eye of Udjat in the center of it, with a massive defense strength.
"It might not have any attack points, but what Millennium Shield lacks in offense points, it makes up for with its massive amount of defense points," Ellie said with a small smile on her face.
"But with our Ultimate Insect still in play."
"Your Shield's defense points."
"Are reduced by 700."
Millennium Shield: ATK: 0 DEF: 2300.
"You might've weakened it, but Kyle still has his next turn coming up, and I have faith in him," she looked towards her boyfriend.
"Thank you," he said. "So, now let's go. I draw!" Kyle exclaimed. "I activate my Soul Release magic card, and with it I remove these 5 cards from my graveyard." He held out 5 of his own cards which were Witch of the Black Forest, Man-Eater Bug, Battle Footballer, Sonic Bird and Giant Red Seasnake.
"You've got a plan, right?" Ellie asked him.
"You better believe I do. I reveal my faced down card: Dimension Fusion," Kyle said flipping his magic card designed with monsters coming out from another dimension. "At the cost of 2000 life points this magic card allows each of us to summon back any monsters that were removed from the game."
Ellie: 6700 LP Gate Guardian: 1750 LP Kyle: 5100 LP.
"But you just removed five?!" Sanga of the Thunder exclaimed in shock.
"So playing Dimension Fusion means..." Kazejin began.
But Kyle cut him off saying. "It means I can summon all 5 of those monsters back. So return to the field, Man-Eater Bug, Witch of the Black Forest, Sonic Bird, Giant Red Seasnake and Battle Footballer."
His monsters that had just been removed had all returned to the field.
"I assume you're now gonna do what I think?" Ellie asked again.
"So you do remember it from our duel?"
"How could I forget?" she smirked.
"I reveal my final faced down card: Dragon Revival Ritual!" Kyle flipped the card needed to summon his ultimate monster. "By sending to my graveyard monsters of attributes earth, darkness, wind, water and fire I can summon an all powerful monster from my hand. The almighty Five Headed Dragon!" Kyle raised his card into the air, and his monsters each began to glow a different color. Those colors consisted of red, yellow green, purple and blue, and then they all merged together and burst into a green light.
That green light faded, and Kyle's ultimate monster stood tall behind him once more.
"Unfortunately Five Headed Dragon can't attack on the turn he's summoned. But he does come with a catch; After he's summoned all cards on your side of the field, Gate Guardian, go bye-bye!"
His dragon let out a bellowing roar, destroying each one of Gate Guardian's cards.
"And with your monster and your field card gone, our monsters regain their full attack and defense points. Plus since I sent Witch of the Black Forest back to the graveyard, I get another monster with 1500 or fewer defense points from my deck," Kyle said adding a 4th card to his hand, then reshuffled his deck. "I end my turn."
"Then we begin by calling our ultimate monster to the field: Ourselves!" Sanga of Thunder said as they moved onto the field.
Sanga of the Thunder: ATK: 2600 DEF: 2200.
Kazejin: ATK: 2400 DEF: 2200.
Suijin: ATK: 2500 DEF: 2400.
Gate Guardian: ATK: 3750 DEF: 3400.
"That was your plan?" Kyle said in disbelief. "To move yourselves onto the field?"
"Yes. We were waiting," Sanga of the Thunder said.
"For the right time to move ourselves on the field," Kazejin took over.
"And that time is now, as we are the most devastating monster in play," Suijin finished.
"Not exactly. While together you each make a monster with an attack strength of 3750, my Five Headed Dragon has 5000 points," Kyle said.
"But we are also three separate monsters," said Sanga of the Thunder.
"Each with three separate abilities," Kazejin said.
"And now I shall use my Deck Master ability," Suijin said as the symbol on him began to glow. "Which allows me to add my attack points into any Thunder monster on the field. And the monster I select is Sanga of the Thunder!"
Sanga of the Thunder's symbol also begin to glow and his attack points went up.
Sanga of the Thunder: ATK: 5100 DEF: 2200.
"With a greater attack strength I attack Five Headed Dragon!" Sanga of Thunder said and shot a bolt of lightning at Kyle's dragon.
Ellie: 6700 LP Gate Guardian: 1750 LP Kyle: 5000 LP.
"No!" Kyle yelled. "My dragon! They destroyed him."
"Your points are next," Kazejin said. "I now attack you directly!" And the center part of Gate Guardian shot a blast of wind at Kyle."
"I use Patrician of Darkness' ability to redirect it to my girlfriend's Millennium Shield," Kyle said as his Deck Master had a dark blue aura shroud its body again.
"No you don't," Kazejin said. "For we play this: Our Fissure magic card, which destroys the monster on the field with the fewest attack points."
Then Ellie's shield burst into pixels.
"Redirect it to my other monster Kyle," Ellie said to him. "Hurry!"
"Patrician of Darkness, do your thing!"
The wind blast hit her other defensive monster, leaving both their sides of the field completely empty.
"I'll pick up where Kazejin left off," Suijin said and shot a blast of water at Kyle.
"And then we attack your partner directly," Gate Guardian's three pieces said in unison and they combines their powers for one more attack, which hit Ellie.
Ellie: 2950 LP Gate Guardian: 1750 LP Kyle: 2500 LP.
Ellie and Kyle were both knocked back once again.
"If any more of those monsters attack us again, we're through," Kyle groaned as they both got back up.
"With no moves left to make we end our turn," Sanga of Thunder said.
"Then it's my turn," Ellie said and she drew her card and gasped. "De-Fusion?" she said to herself. "I can't defend me or Kyle with this. And I've got nothing left on my field or in my hand." She looked back up to Gate Guardian. "I end my turn."
Kyle looked down to the 4 cards in his hand and thought to himself, "If she wasn't able to get a card to pull through this match, then it's up to me. I almost have every card in my hand that can win us this duel, but I need the last one. It all comes down to this!" He put his index and middle fingers on top of his cards. "This is it!" Kyle yelled aloud swiftly drawing his card.
Ellie crossed her fingers, hoping he drew what he needed.
Kyle looked to his card, and cracked a grin at it. "This is it Gate Guardian. You're through!"
"Impossible," Sanga of the Thunder exclaimed.
"You could not have drawn a card," Kazejin took over.
"To defeat us in this duel!" Suijin finished.
"I have 5 cards in my hand that say otherwise, and now you're about to be proven wrong!" Kyle exclaimed placing the cards on his duel disk. "I summon the unstoppable Exodia the Forbidden One!"
"What?!" Gate Guardian exclaimed in unison.
Exodia the Forbidden One: ATK: 1800 DEF: 2200.
A massive green seal opened up in front of Ellie and Kyle, and out from it stepped a giant light brown Egyptian monster with red eyes, and broken shackles on its wrists and ankles.
"You did it, Kyle!" Ellie exclaimed happily.
Kyle nodded and looked towards Gate Guardian with a glare. "Time to end this duel. Exodia, obliterate!" Kyle yelled aloud.
Exodia charged up an orange light in his hands and blasted Gate Guardian with it, and the trio of monsters in one screamed as they were destroyed.
Ellie: 2950 LP Gate Guardian: 0 LP Kyle 2500 LP.
As the light from Exodia's blast faded Gate Guardian was gone and then Exodia and their Deck Masters disappeared.
"Game set and match," Kyle said.
Ellie ran towards him and threw her arms around him, laughing with joy. "You did it! You won the duel!"
"No. We won the duel," Kyle said. "But you don't know how great that felt. You don't know how long I've wanted to summon Exodia."
And then a light shined in front of them, and four cards appeared.
"Gate Guardian, and the three monsters used to summon them," Kyle said.
"Go ahead, take them. They're yours," Ellie said to him.
"Thanks," Kyle said taking the 4 cards and putting them in his deck.
"Now that we won the duel, let's move on," Ellie said and they once again made their way to the giant doors.
"We may want to be careful though," Kyle said. "There's no telling what waits through those doors."
"Right," she replied.
All right. How'd you like the ending. I figured since back home, Kyle has 4 of the Exoida cards, why not let him have a chance to summon Exodia, whether it's in the virtual or real world. I'm sorry that I waited so long to update, for some reason part of me just hasn't felt up to updating, but all of a sudden the mood to update this story struck me. Now I'm gonna need to brainstorm to decide what happens next, so I'll try and have it updated again as soon as possible. Until then please read, review and enjoy.
