Hera: protector of marriage, and the wife of Zeus

Aphrodite stood talking with Gaia, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Athena, Artemis, and Persephone when she felt a chilled cry go through her mind. A cry she had never thought to hear for she had only ever gifted one with her powers and that child had been missing for a long time.

"Aphrodite, are you ill child?" Hera questioned as the pain from the scream left her on her knees.

"Calisto," she whispered the name out as she stood shakily to her feet. One slender hand shoved a strand of blond hair out from in front of her piercing blue eyes.

Immediately all of the goddesses present turned their full attention on her. When Hades had chosen a human as his bride they had feared that Hecate's son was truly dead, to hear the name spoken from her lips surprised them. "I felt him," she whispered in amazement before her eyes clouded over with fear and worry.

Calisto was the last children born from two gods, there only hope for Hades to be happy, and Persephone to be released from her six months sentence as the goddess of the Underworld. When he had vanished all of them had mourned his loss.

"Speak child, what did you feel?" Hera asked her soft voice soothing as she spoke.

"My gift to him has been blocked; I felt the slime of Perun's magic wash over me. The place where his memory laid buried is as cold as ice. I fear he is both alive and in trouble." She stated with barely suppressed tears.

"He is alive?" Persephone asked with wide eyes as she looked to her mother.

"Then it is our job to find him and bring him home." Gaia stated as she grabbed Aphrodite's hand in her own and pulled the younger goddess into a comforting hug.

Artemis let out a loud whistle and the Alani came bounding up, ready for a hunt as her bow materialized. She gladly strapped the bow and quiver on her back, easily plaiting her long brown hair.

"If he is in the mortal realm we must move swiftly." Hera decided after a moment of thought.

"Should we not call a meeting of the gods and seek council?" Persephone asked timidly as she looked at her mother who smiled gently at her. For all of her age she was still young for a goddess and it showed in her question.

"This is a woman's affair child. Perun may have kidnapped a son, but Calisto is to be a bride, making him our charge." Hera stated and the women nodded as Aphrodite gave a scowl. The only reason Perun had not been properly punished was because they had no proof of his crimes, but this time she would see him torn apart over and over again for what he had done.

She remembered when Hades had stolen Persephone and taken her to the underworld, Zeus had refused to help so they had sought out Hecate who had looked at them with compassion in her eyes. It had been she who had gone to the Underworld and struck a bargain with Hades. Persephone would spend half the year in the Underworld to give hope and love to the dead until she bore him a wife.

Soon after she had become pregnant with a child and each of the goddesses had blessed the unborn child. Aphrodite had given him the gift of love and beauty in the hopes that the child could love the stiff and unyielding god of death. From Gaia he received a love for all things living. Hera had given him the gift of fidelity, once married he would never seek another to warm his bed.

Artemis had crafted a bow and a quiver filled to the brim with arrows for him, and had been excited at the prospect of teaching the youngest god how to hunt. Demeter had convinced Hades to allow her to make a garden for the babe, so when he was older he could enjoy the fresh fields of food.

Hestia had begged Hades to allow her a room in his castle to fix for the babe and made it warm and inviting. Athena had gifted him with rare books that she had Hestia place in the lovely room and Persephone had sworn her friendship to the babe.

Albus

The sky darkened and a chill filled the air, for the past few days something had been coming but Albus had not been able to see what. His place as Headmaster was tedious, and the light had lost faith in him. He had not missed the scornful glances Minerva would cast his way, or how she questioned his every move.

He felt stifled in the castle, and inside he raged. How dare they question him! He was the great Albus Dumbledore! They should be bowing at his feet and begging him for his approval! They should learn their places as they worshiped him! When he found the blasted Potter he would make sure the boy knew his place.

He would train the boy to do as he bid, and his revenge would be swift on the fools who questioned his authority and perhaps he would gift the boy with the pleasure of serving him as his concubine. Even at eleven he had been pretty, surely that had grown over the years. If not, well there were others to choose from and once he had taken his rightful place they would be lining up to have the honor of carrying his heir.

A smile crossed his face as he got lost in his dreams of pretty young bodies begging him. All he had to do was find the boy and convince him it was for the best of their people if he were ruler of their world.

A soft feminine voice broke his thoughts and his eyes snapped open to reveal the beginning of his harem. They were all lithe and otherworldly beautiful with soft hair and an unnatural grace.

"Are you sure he will know?" The voice came from a young girl with long blond hair and a childish face. Big brown eyes seemed to swallow her whole as she gazed at him with curiosity.

"Hello," Albus greeted, keeping his twisted thoughts to himself. He smiled a friendly and disarming smile but the lady with brown hair braided down her back and a quiver over her shoulder looked at him with barely hidden disgust and he felt the force of someone in his mind.

He scrambled to keep them out but his mind was not strong enough. The intrusion was not gentle and they didn't even try to conceal what they were doing before leaving him mind. He fell to his knees panting for air.

"He has seen Castor." A woman with long flowing brown hair and knowing eyes stated, her voice was calm but he could feel her anger tingling in the very air. "He plans to make him his own personal dog." She stated and the others stilled. "I have also seen the presence of Epiales in his mind." She stated as the stern looking brunet with dark gray eyes looked at him.

"It is safe to assume that if Epiales has been in his mind he too knows about Castor and what he knows Hades knows. He would never keep such information from his brother.

"We locate Hades and we find Castor then." A beautiful blond stated as she ran a hand through her hair as if to smooth out imaginary tangles.

"What about him?" The woman with the bow asked as if uninterested in the question.

"He would harm the child Artemis, if that does not deserve a death sentence than nothing does. Kill him," the stern woman stated impassionedly and the girl with the bow laughed.

"Alani," she called and from the shadows came vicious looking dogs with sharp teeth and the aged headmaster felt the icy chill of fear. "Kill," she stated as the women watched on while the dogs viciously tore the old man apart. Leaving only his shredded and bloodied robes behind.

The women smirked in satisfaction as they stretched their sinces to locate Hades and disappeared without a word.

It wouldn't be tell later that Minerva would come into the office to find a detailed letter of every crime committed by the hero of the light and at the bottom were the words:

The gods and goddesses are watching, take heed and learn from your mistakes or you too shall meet a tragic end and join the monster in Tartaros for your soul to be devoured by nightmares again and again. Hades has no mercy for those who touch and harm what is his.
