"So where are Siri and the rest staying?" he asked as soon as they apparated into the living room.
"Oh, I'm surprised Padfoot didn't tell you. He's been cleaning Grimmuald Place since school started. They, Padfoot and Gabby, decided that they wanted to have their own home, so that they could start their family with Rigel, Daphne, and Astoria."
"Okay, can I go up to my room? I'm kind of tired after that trip."
"Of course, sweetheart, lunch will be around one."
He nodded and walked upstairs to his room. His stuff wasn't there yet so he just laid down on his bed. That's when he noticed Rigel's bed was gone. He frowned at the thought of not having a roommate anymore.
He fell asleep and didn't wake up until his dad came and shook him awake.
"Come on, cub. Rigel and Ginny are coming over for dinner, so time to eat lunch so you aren't tired when they get here."
"Alright, dad, I'm up," he snapped. His dad raised his eyebrow and he said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to. I'm just frustrated."
"About what, cub?"
"Well, with Rigel gone, I don't have a roommate anymore and it feels empty without him."
"Oh, I'm sorry, Harry. I guess we didn't think of that. Do you want to put Rigel's bed back in here so he can stay when he spends the night?"
"Maybe, but what if one of my brothers or sisters wants to share a room?"
"What makes you think you're going to have more than one?"
"I just have a feeling. I think you and mum are going to adopt a boy and are going to have either a girl or twins."
His dad chuckled and said, "Alright, that's enough predicting for you. Let's go eat lunch."
They walked down together and his mum grinned at them.
"Okay, so we have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and some Doritos and Cheetos."
They sat down and ate.
"So what's there to do until dinner?"
"Well, you could go do your homework so you have the rest of your break free? Or you can go unpack your stuff so that you have something to wear over the break?"
"So, what you're saying is, I need to go do those things."
"Yes, please."
He nodded and ran upstairs to clean up. It didn't take long to put his stuff away, but the Professors had given him a lot of work for the break. Transfiguration had a four foot long essay on the Switching spell and the fundamentals of how it worked. Defense Against the Dark Arts had a three foot long essay on doxies and their poison. Potions had a four foot long essay on each of the ingredients of Wiggenweld Potion and their properties and uses. Charms was a simple two foot essay on the Fire making spell.
History of Magic was the one he was dreading and anticipating the most. It was five foot long on the Werewolf Code of Conduct. Herbology was another easy one. Professor Spout had only given them a two foot essay on Asphodel and Dried Nettles. Astronomy was only a continuation of their favorite star essay.
He worked down his list, starting with the shortest essays and working his way through to the History of Magic essay. He was almost finished with his Potions essay, still having to work on Transfiguration and History of Magic, when Rigel came in.
"Hey, bro, whatcha doin?"
"Just finishing up my Potions essay."
"Are you almost done with your school work?"
"What were expecting, Rig? I have a Charms mum and Dad doesn't want me to start off bad and put off my work."
"That's understandable. Dad said I could put mine off until after Christmas."
"Nice, I wish my mum and dad had that idea and since when do you call Uncle Sirius, dad?"
"Since when did you call him 'uncle'?"
They both laughed and Harry put up his work.
"Alright, let's head downstairs, is Gin here yet?"
"I don't think so, why don't you check your connection?"
"Because we thought it would be better if we left it off for a while. We're best friends and we don't want to be anything more."
Rigel nodded and asked, "So what about Parvati Patil? Isn't she pretty?"
"Rigel, are you seriously thinking about girls?"
"What we're almost twelve, or well we'll be in next year. We're old enough."
"I guess she's pretty, but I don't think I like her like that. I think her sister, Padma, is pretty."
"Okay, let's go sit down. I'm hungry and we both know they won't start without the party."
"What and we're the party?"
"Of course, bro."
They laughed all the way downstairs and sat down at the dining room table.
"What are you two laughing about?" Gabby asked smiling at the two boys.
"Nothing," they replied immediately and stopped laughing.
"What's for dinner, mum?"
"I don't know, the elves wanted to cook something special for your homecoming so it's a surprise."
"Sorry, I'm late. Mum was a nightmare and didn't want me to go anywhere the night I came home. It took forever to escape."
"It's no problem, Ginny," she said. "Sit down and we'll eat."
They had a peaceful dinner, in which everyone talked about what they had learned and what they did while they were in school, and even Gabby laughed when she heard what the three did as a prank.
"That's amazing, it's a wonder we didn't think of that, right, Moony?"
"You're right, Padfoot. I mean, we came up with the most ingenious pranks, but we never thought about that second year spell."
"I know, it's amazing."
"We're smarter than the Marauder's guys," Harry whispered and the rest of the adults and children laughed.
"Okay, that's enough prank talk. What kind of things do you have planned for the break?"
"Nothing as far as I know, mum," he replied. "I mean, Christmas is three days away and then New Years is six days after that."
"Well, could we stay the night tonight, Aunt Lily?" Rigel asked.
"Of course, Rigel. Ginny, you can stay too just make sure it's okay with your mum. If you want you can invite Susan, Neville, and Luna if you want."
"Yay! Sleepover."
"I'll go over to Neville's, Luna's, and one other person, if you'll call over to Susan's," Harry said to Ginny.
"Okay, I'll go ask my mum too."
So, sleepovers are so much fun and making one wizard style is going to be cool. Please let me know if you all like the story or not. Next chapter will be the actual sleepover.
