Another revision!
Looking up at the Marine Captain in annoyance, deciding he looked like a rat with whiskers and a hat with ears. With a growl I jumped at one of the Marines as they tried to search the veneered, with my back arched and the fur on my neck sticking up I barked at them. As more of the Marines went to search for Nami's treasure she smacked one of them with her stick, turning I started taking out the Marines that tried to dig up the veneered. Barely listening to the townsman as he explained to Nami that the village knew about Nami saving her treasure to save the village. The girl from earlier confronted the Captain. Running at the Captain I was about to attack him when one of the Marines yelled that they found it. Pausing I turned and watched as the Captain walked over and started looking through Nami's treasure, growling I started running at him, sliding to a stop as the Captain pulled out a gun, growling I barked at him as he pulled the trigger, closing my eyes I waited for the impact only to hear Nami screaming about someone named Nojiko, turning I realized the woman with the purple hair had been shot. Walking over I quickly transformed into my larger form, laying down I tilted my head at the townsman, who looked at Nami, who nodded and helped place Nojiko on my back, waiting a moment before following the pair back into the village, listening as the townsman started screaming for the doctor. Lying down when the townspeople blocked my path, watching as the woman was placed on the ground. Hearing an overly happy voice I looked up and waged my tail at Luffy as he asked Nami if she needed help. She asked him why he was still here before throwing him and running off, sighing I walked over and licked his cheek.
"I'm fine, what's her problem?"
I rolled my eyes and sat next to him, my tail lightly hitting the ground as I shifted back to my normal size, not quiet ready to shift back yet, laying on the ground I vaguely wondered how the boys were doing without us.
Hearing a commotion I looked over to see the villagers rallying together.
"I don't like this Luffy."
My captain sighed as he looked over at the growing mob, I had shifted back a few minutes ago, making sure none of the villagers saw me in the process.
"Just wait."
I nodded once, when the town doctor was working on Nojiko I had explained to him what had happened when I went after Nami, a few minutes afterwards the boys had finally found us.
"You can watch the town, I'm going to sit with the crew."
He nodded again, smiling I stood up and sauntered my way over to my crew.
"What's he want to do Chris?"
I shook my head at Usopp before sitting next to Zoro on a table in the shade.
"He wants to wait, I guess he wants to see if Nami will show up or not."
Pulling my knees to my chest I sighed and rested my head on my knees.
"You worried?"
I nodded at Zoro.
"I had her wrong, you guys didn't see how desperate she was to protect her village."
"Why didn't you do anything?"
I turned and glared at Sanji.
"If I had I would have been shot, if not killed."
He scoffed and lit a cigarette when Nami went running past us towards the villagers, spinning on the table I watched as she tried to stop the villagers, moving so I was siting cross-legged I watched in curiosity as the townsman from earlier hugged her before telling her to get out of the way as the townspeople left to fight Arlong. Feeling pity for our navigator I watched as she pulled out a knife and started stabbing herself in the shoulder where she had a purple tattoo, reaching over I let my finger touch an uneven patch of skin where a deep scar lay behind my shoulder, looking away I felt tears appear before forcing them down as Luffy walked over and stopped her.
"You alright?"
I turned and smirked at Zoro.
"Let's kill the bastard."
He smirked as Luffy walked over and told us it was time to go. Standing up I rolled my shoulders before we followed Luffy back to Arlong Park.
